Great place for a walk on top of the bluffs. Also walks through a forest. You can do a loop. One trail leads up to Hill Cresent. You can see deer here and lots of birds. There are benches you can sit on close to the water. No access to the lake.

Simply breath taking. After a snow fall and fresh snow on the trees and on the Bluffs. Perfect wooded area and amazing trails. Although no parking lot I seen a few arriving and parking along the street and there to walk their dogs. So decided to take a quick walk in and have a look around. Very nice trails leading to the cliff edges and amazing views of the water. Benches placed around an open area and very quiet. Great area for families, walks, hiking. Picture perfect views and best area for photographers.

Not much to see in the winter but still nice to walk there. Parking is a problem. It’s a park for their own community.

Sylvan Park has some interesting short trails with some beautiful views of Lake Ontario. At a couple of points you can actually access the edge of Scarborough Bluffs where erosion has not yet made it too dangerous. Taking the trail west from the park you meet up with Doris McCarthy which clings to the edge of Bellamy Creek Ravine and takes you down to Lake Ontario and the bottom of the bluffs.

My favorite part of the city to watch meteor showers. Plus I love the way incoming storms look, moving across the lake crashing in on the city.

One of the best places to visit. There are separate trails leading to two different places. One of them is jagged rock formation that is next to the lake and the other is a green forest which is a perfect spot for families and friends to kick back and relax. Though there is a lot of walking involved to reach these places but it's worth the effort.

Trevor Heywood

This is great lakefront hiking trail. The colour and the scenery are unreal.

It’s a hidden gem in Scarborough ???? I had no idea how close I live to this park. Definitely underrated and it’s a must visit. It’s amazing for a walk and perfect for fall colors. The lake view just makes the park even more stunning. The cliff view is unfortunately covered by the trees and branches, but I wouldn’t recommend going near the edges just to get a clear view. There are plenty of benches around the park to sit and enjoy nature! Absolutely fell in love with this place and it’s gonna be my go-to spot from now on!

Be aware that you cannot climb down to the lake from this park ( It is on the bluff/cliff high above the lake). If you are looking to get to lake level, go down the Doris McCarthy trail which is close by and on Google Maps. Avoid standing close to the end of the bluff, the ground underneath is eroded away and people get injured or have to be rescued many times a year. Plus if you get caught going beyond the safety barrier, you may get a ticket. Otherwise, this is a pretty little wooded area for a picnic. No washroom or BBQ facilities though.

A great park hidden in the suburbs that has a unique character each season. The walk down the hill is well worth discovering a beautiful refuge by the water but be prepared for the uphill climb.

Sylvan park makes for a beautiful walk in every season. It overlooks Scarborough Bluffs but is not as well known as Bluffers park. Because of this it free of crowds. It is a retreat from the world of hustle and bustle. Its natural woodland setting is refreshingly calm and like its name sylvan.

There no where to park and leave your car it was just a dead end street so we could just leave the car there and hit the trail to the water front I was disappointed
