We've got all the opinions of people who are buying the products and services of Prince Albert National Park (Park) around Saskatchewan territory (Canada).
At this moment the business has a rating of 4.7 stars over 5 and the rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is virtually the best one, and it's based on a very high number of scores, so we may think that the assessment is quite faithful. If people have bothered to give their review when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set evaluations when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Park belongs to the category of National park.
I loved this place so because of its beauty and cleanliness. I can prefer to hang out with family and friends on weekends.
Beautiful National Park. We saw black bears, foxes, elk, and beaver there in May. Narrows campgrounds is by far the best.
Gorgeous park, expensive with the entry fee. That's what you get for national parks though!
Quiet spot in the winter. Cross country skiing is incredible, snow shopping is great, and the "chop your own Christmas tree" program is a great compliment to the season.
Perfect place for a weekend getaway or a week camping. You can camp in town and have all the crowds and amenities, backcountry camp to get away from it all, or anything in between. Great park run programs for kids.
Always love this place. The disc golf is perfect too!
A gem in the heart of Saskatchewan where you can appreciate all of God's splendor.
You want relaxation 1 day and hiking and biking the next? This is the place
Great way to hang out in nature and then retire to the comforts of a cabin each night.
Love this place. The hiking is great and the lake is amazing
Prince Albert Narional Park is a wonder to behold with all its natural beauty and sights to see. Me and my buddies go up to waskeisu anytime we can and anywhere else in the park also and it always provides a good time.
We love coming to PANP! The scenery for one is amazing! There is lots to see and do, from hikes, to wildlife, to water sports, to beaches, and on and on. Our favorite summer holiday.
Mesmerizing experience.
beautiful beach and lakes, good for swimming, kayaking, nice camping sites with shower and covered cooking sites. but too many mosquitoes!
Gorgeous scenery...plenty to do. What's not to love? We always enjoy our time at Waskesui and even managed to see a bear and several elk!!!
Scenic park with lots of wildlife. Free hot showers and flush toilets. Large RV sites with water and electric hookups.
Beautiful and serene. Surrounded by forests and pristine lakes. Campsites are well maintained and you can really get away from it all if you hire a canoe too. 5 stars!!
We visited just prior to the camping season. It felt like we had the whole park to ourselves. We back country camped. The wildlife was the best I've ever seen. Fox, Elk, loons, deer, ducks, black bears with cubs and a brown bear.
Massive area of unspoiled wilderness with numerous hiking trails and beaches. All the activities you could want to take advantage of the area, suitable lodging for everyone, and a vibrant resort town.
Been going here since I was a child. Theres something for everyone. Lots of opportunity for great photos and picturesque landscapes.
Absolutely amazing place to go in the summer. We don’t live in the area but we live just near it, but we go there every summer and love it. There is lots to do and you can never get bored. All of the workers are very nice there and I guarantee a great loveable stay if you go here for the summer. It will be all worth it. ❤️
Fantastic experience. Main beach area is good to stay with family. Overnight stay is fun. Well organized national park.
Such a great place to go camping and enjoy the beautiful Saskatchewan landscape. The park is always kept very clean and the park staff are always pleasant. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a stay at the Beaver Glen campsite. Would recommend to anyone looking to get out of the city for the weekend to get some fresh air!
Nice place. Watching the stars at night was awesome.
One of my favorite places.
Excellent place to visit with family and kids
It is not a park at all there is no nature anywhere and houses are not parks so I give it 100 ???????? Down
Great park with plenty to do.
Love this park. Has many lakes, rivers, streams, trails. Great campgrounds. Much to see and do
Interesting and beautiful spot to visit. Did a trail ride with my kids. There is a herd of free ranging bison in the park. We were lucky enough to get close to some of them. We got a good look at the bison and some impressive country. Overall a pleasant place to visit.
One of the best places in Saskatchewan to bring your family.
One of my favorite places on earth. If you like the lake life the is a great bang for your buck! Cabins, hotels, swimming, boating, fishing AND a nice little townsite for some shopping and a movie theatre.
Amazing view
This so Nice place I hope to come Canada please help me ????
Somewhere near here was a sign that read "Prairie to Pine" and it was like God turned on a switch ...Lodgepole Pine for a thousand miles .. truly an amazing phenomenon.. never saw anything quite like that before or since.
Beautiful spot. Town site too focused on businesses.
We camped in K in Beaver Glen. The site was nice but the toilets were located in L and the only way to then without going through occupied sites was going around on the road. It is a lovely camp grid and a great National park. Even the Bears love it.
Stopped to camp overnight near Wascana on my way to Missinippie. Great experience, nice campsites convince store nearby and great shower facilities.
Beautiful park! Lots of great trails and activities.
Beautiful park with so much to see and do. We drive 10 hours out of our way just to come to Waskaseiu each year. Definitely worth the trip
Amazing fishing
Beautiful park in the boreal plains, 2.5 h north of Saskatoon. Our favourite entry is the south gate via Hwy 263, called the scenic drive. Usually not busy there. Park is popular with road cyclists, MTB is allowed on many trails but not that common. Layout of town to Waskesiu Lake is very similar to Wasagaming and Clear Lake in Riding Mountain NP.
Beautiful and wild: PANP demonstrates what Canada is all about. You have to experience it first hand to fully appreciate it's place.
It is the perfect Park where there are plenty of places for people can swim, boat, hike and otherwise enjoy nature. The best thing is that the Park has preserved most of the nature offerings of the area, while keeping the human footprint small.
Beautiful place to be in summmer time alwayse busy place but got lots to do here and a place to go with huge family and friends.
Park? What park? This just some poser building
Been there couple of times. Its the best SK has to offer. There is a marina if you like to rent a boat, you can go zip lining, tubing, disk golfing and hiking. There is a decent size beach there. Always a good time there with the friends and family.
A pristine wilderness adventure for the seasonal trekker. Many photo opportunities present.
If you are in Saskatchewan and you haven't seen this place yet. Go see it now. Awesome place with adventurous activities. Camping, Hikes, Boating, Swimming, Wild life and even more. Try spending a day or two and experience a super cool vacation.
Very scenic
Why have I not been here before? This place is a Canadian gem! Will definitely be back, and longer next time!
Always beautiful doesn't matter what time of year it is. Those who say Saskatchewan has nothing to do just hasn't looked for something to do
Waskesiu is a wonderful place for families to spend time. So many great activities and such a beautiful lake for swimming with nice Sandy beaches.
Perfect place to camping, landscapes are so beautiful! The lake was pretty, and I had a pleasant experience here..
We were just there and there's so many insects especially mosquitoes. The beaches were nice. Don't know if we'd go back. Didn't live up to the hype.
Great hiking-trail system in the park
Oh man this was the best trio ever. The park was quiet when I went after the Sept long weekend. Some of the shops were closed, but otherwise we really enjoyed the townsite and the cabins we stayed at. The fall colours were just starting to change and it was just beautiful! My favourite hike was the Treebeard Trail, what a peaceful forest. We saw elk and deer, a very friendly fox, a black bear and a bunch of beautiful caterpillars! What a beautiful gem in Saskatchewan!
Awesome hike to Grey Owls Cabin
Beautiful park with lots to see and do. Waskesiu is a great place to check out in summer though it does get busy on the weekends.
Great park lots to do, nice beaches. Town is torn between being small lake or resort town like. The town stuff itself is missing some necessities like a little pub and resorty things that would make it even more comfortable.
Great facilities with access to nature at reasonable costs. We camped at the Beaver Glen Campground at Waskesiu Lake for 4 nights in their oTentiks. ???? We visited the narrows Campground and Paignton Beach. We hiked the Boundary Bog trail. So many great things to see and do, we couldn't do then all in our short stay!
Beautiful weather. Awesome place. Time well spent
Waskesiu townsite is not very covid-19 safe due to overcrowding. Needs to have more social distancing measures and access to hand sanitizer. Having masks mandatory in town would be great. 5 stars for the campgrounds and the rest of the national park. ❤️
Prince Albert National park is a gem of a getaway in Saskatchewan. Recommended for locals and tourists from anywhere. Book early as it is extremely busy in the summer and accomodations and camp sites fill up quickly.
Always 5 stars. One of Canada's eldest National Parks ... when wildlife saunters down the main drive while you are having an amazing lunch, breathing in crispy clean refreshing air...well the tension just rolls off and relaxation tip toes in :) If you've never been, go on a quieter weekday and take your time.
Great nature place with lots of conveniences, trails and talks. It is very difficult to get camping sites due to demand, especially weekends. Book ahead online. Reservations only; no sites are kept for show-ups. However, there is overflow that is a considerable distance from the main area.
Great place for a family's day out! Kids will definitely enjoy
Gorgeous park teaming with wildlife spectacular lakes
The park as always is well maintained. Several stores to shop in. Long hiking trails and plenty of wildlife. The staff were helpful and courteous. The only lacking is the bathrooms by the main beach in Waskesui are still under construction. But I anticipate they will be finished for the summer season 2021.
The park is clean. Lots of people so it's a busy place. The small shops are neat. We loved going down to Evrgreen for a coffee then taking the kids to the beach. Black flies were a little annoying but not as bad as some years.
Beautiful National park deep in the Saskatchewan shield forest. Crystal clear Lake with great, popular beaches, plenty of accommodations and campgrounds, and restaurants and shops in town. Great trails for hiking or biking and ample opportunity for water sports. Downside is that it gets very popular and busy in the summer, but you can always find quiet spots.
Beautiful. Most peaceful place
Awesome hiking trails, great camping (lots of overflow, too) just make sure you bring enough bug spray!
If you have never been here, go! It will be one of the best times you have had in a long while. Make sure you have a week. If not, hit the bakery on the main drag at 6am for the cinnamon buns! 5 stars.
No other place like it - in Saskatchewan. Lots of animals here depending on the time of year you visit. Small in terms of a National Parks however. In light of all the land in Saskatchewan they could have made the park 3 - 4 times the size me thinks.
Prince Albert National Park is fantastic it has so many different campsites you can camp close by waskasoo or you can camp out in the outer line regions or if you're adventurous you can hike anywheres from 2 to 25 K Into the Wilderness and camp at remote destinations. My wife and myself just did a 13 km hike in to fish Lake. It was a pretty tough hike we carried all our gear and all our food for two nights and three days anytime you go 13 km with 30 to 40 lb pack it's going to be challenging but it's the right type of Challenge and it's definitely a good time it's peaceful quiet there's very few people that come up that far and it's a beautiful Lake tons of animals deer and porcupine and I think that there are definitely some foxes there's definitely signs of bear but we didn't see any and an unbelievable level of birds in the lake loons and Canadian geese woodpeckers sparrows Ravens I strongly suggest getting into the backcountry doesn't matter how old you are.
A must visit place for everyone who loves natural beauty of Canada....
Wildlife everywhere, well maintained, awesome campground. Spent most of the time in Waskesiu and would definitely return.
One of the Best Parks, lot of activities to do and awesome Sceneries
Beautiful place for fun activities.
Love it there
Beautiful, bring lots of mosquito and bear protection.
Gorgeous place to visit
Relaxing getaway from the chaos of the city. A big chance to simply enjoy nature
Best place ever along with Banff!!!
Amazing park, the nature is extraordinary and are good also the camping and the visitors structures.
HIghly recommend a trip to Kingsmere Lake and Ajawaan.
A great place to see nature and relaxing peace of mind .
Amazing beauty!! Love this park!! Definitely go back!!
Very good park to go for a walk and hang out, take my doggie and have a great time! The park was very clean and there were quite a few people!
We are camped in an area that reminds me of a parking lot, yet it has been quiet so we do not have any complaints. There are major road and facility improvements in process that should make the park a better place to visit. The trails in the park are good for hiking though some are still suffering from the winter.
It's a beautiful park, that is easy to get to. Waskesiu has lots of amenities, but there are several other great camping spots too (car camping and backcountry camping). Lakes, forest, hiking, canoeing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing.. it's an outdoor playground.
Did Grey Owl trail, awesome views, saw bears, moose, elk, deer, foxes. Very senic
Fantastic national park. Wonderful access to nature with many remote trails but also has all amenities of civilization.
Beautifully kept park with full amenities or no amenities depending on where you decide to stay. I stayed the first night with full service and the washrooms and camp sites were extremely well kept. The second night at a group site, not only was the site well kept but it had a beautiful view of the lake. I did the trail system to the fire tower and it was well groomed and maintained. Highly recommend people go on a weekend and check it out!
Wonderful park!! Great camping
Beautiful area so many hiking trails. Park staff are very friendly.
Beautiful area! Nice Summer Village
Excellent place to visit. Whether its for water activities or not it should be on everyones bucket list to visit atleast once
Hamptons of Saskatchewan, very nice but busy place. Nice shopping and restaurants.
A little slice of heaven in Northern SK. Definitely worth a weekend trip. Canada Day long weekend is a great time to see the National Park.
This is a place to be if you like nature, fishing, boating , Beach, best lakeside places to picnic with ready fire pit and Wood,
Great scenic drive! Sky and cloud plays an important role to make this destination magnificent! Loved every bit of it!
Wonderful place ????????????
Would give it 5 stars if I felt I got a little more for my dollar. Pretty much the same price as a place like Jasper but less value for the money it seemed.
We love going there in all seasons. Always lots of wildlife to see and things to do. Many smaller lakes perfect for kayaking or canoeing. A great way to spend the day.
Beautiful place to visit for the whole family. Just 3 hours from Saskatoon and one from Prince Albert.
Got my ticket ???? but missed my furry friend back home. Views were amazing and loved the community I travelled to. Will return again when I can!
Excellent outdoor experience with some nice shipping services. Swimming, boating, hiking, camping, cabins, wildlife, wilderness.
I love the lakes, campgrounds, and little townsite. It’s a gem that most non-Sask residents need to visit!
I've been coming to this park almost every year for about 25 years. I still find new things to see and do. This is my happy place. Numerous excellent trails, great fishing, lots of wildlife to see, great for birding, and fantastic for photography. It's nice having the town there for added options for accommodations (hotels and cabins), restaurants, groceries, liquor store, shopping, and loads of activities (mini golf, tennis, ball diamond, bike rentals, kayaking, etc.) You can swim in the lake, although it is ice cold, even on a hot day. It's has just about everything you could need for a great holiday.
I have been going to PA National Park for most of my life, every chance I get. So many places to camp or stay and so many things to do, I used to spend almost every weekend there when I lived in Prince Albert. I still get there several times a year from Saskatoon. Camping at Namekus Lake, or Beaver Glen, or staying at one of the hotels, always a wonderful experience.
Beautiful and amazing! Lot pf things to do and one of the wonders of Saskatchewan! Can’t wait to return!
Beautiful place to stay. Wonderful setting clean park lots of wildlife to see.
Great experience as usual! Seen our first black fox.
A perfect entertainment that combines with adventure and fun!
Been going for over 30 years and still loving the scenery, trails and atmosphere
Clean and gorgeous. Super friendly staff
Great place to be to enjoy outdoor activities.
Really beautiful extremely clean only down side is that it tends over crowded
Awesome place to visit! Lots of activities for everyone. Lovely nature. Check all possibilities and choose what fits you the best. It includes but not limited to hiking, camping, walking, bicycling, bbq, swimming, sunbathing, meeting wildlife etc. Highly recommended!
Great place to visit Has many things to do in summer as well as winter Both seasons have their own beauty Must visit place.
One of the most beautiful places in Saskatchewan. There's a lot to do, rain or shine. Good for kids and adults of all ages. Great for water sports and fishing. Nice beaches. Clean lakes.
This is my home away from home even if it's Just for the day!
Such a pretty place hidden in northern Saskatchewan.
One of the best spots in Saskatchewan to check out if you have not already. With a beautiful view of the lake, amongst the various accommodations the town has to offer, it’s a spot you don’t want to miss! I come here usually during the summers but many of my friends come here during the cold times in winter and still admit to having a wonderful time! The prices are very reasonable and the sights are endless! If you have the chance, stick around for sundown to view the beautiful view of the sunset glistening over the waters. Never had an issue with this place and the park staff are always available when you need them!
The weather was nice, but the clouds reminded me of my dead dog Toby. If you have a dead dog this park is not for you. R.I.P. Toby
Great lakes, great hiking, lots of things to do.
A beautiful and well preserved and maintained series of lakes, trails and forests await visitors in this gem of a national park, with a well defined and outfitted townsite and plenty of accommodations for those ranging from renters to luxury seekers prince Albert's national park is a must visit location if you are anywhere near the area.
Its Nice place to have a family picnic. There's Camp Ground. Beach...Boating. You must visit if you are living in Sasketchewan.
So many things to do! An outdoors-person's dream location.
If you love wildlife you have to visit Waskesiu area. The golf at Stanley Thompson designed Waskesiu is better than Banff or Jasper's Stanley Thompson designed courses. The wildlife that crosses the fairway as you play is a real treat.
Loved camping here. We had a lovely private site with regular elk visits. We also enjoyed the lake town by the campground.
Great camping and fishing, no better place if you love nature.
Great outdoors for relaxation and enjoying friends, family and nature.
Love visiting the park. Nice beach, and trails all around the area. Get out and enjoy them. Recommend the River and the Bog trails.
The swimming is great and afterwards the picnic was amazing
My absolute favourite place to be with my family.
This place is stunning it’s a amazing place to take the family!!!
Beautiful weekend scape place
Beautiful place. Coming back for four nights starting on Canada Day. Amazing place that you should definitely come check out. Lost of stores here
September is a nice time to enjoy the park. It isn't busy and we love the fall colours.
The most beautiful place I've been in Saskatchewan! I highly recommend it if you want to spend quality time in NATURE. Waskesiu lake village is a neat place to stay, to walk at sunset with the family, to stay close to nature even in a small hotel. Endless trail system, numerous lakes and marinas make me come back each year. Don't miss to visit Grey Owl's cabin!
Nice beache's at the main beach stores close by i love it everytime i came here
Gorgeous! Bugs! Bogs!
This is the hidden gem of Saskatchewan. Beautiful lakes, fishing, horseback riding, camping. You can bank on beautiful sunsets, eagles and pelicans, hearing loons call in the distance, and roasting hot dogs by the fire. This is a stunning place.
Beautiful and well appointed
Great National Park! Lots of fun in the town but great open spaces for back country activities
Prince Albert National Park is one of the most beautiful parks to find in Canada. You can mainly hike and swim here while admiring the beauty of nature. There are many wild animals to be seen if you are calm and careful.
If you haven't been too the pa national park yet just go it's always worth the trip pristine undeveloped wilderness as good as you get only a little over an hour from Prince Albert
Always enjoy visiting. Beautiful place.
Lots of wildlife nice lake
The best place to chill out .pack your bags and stay there for a week.
Great place! Well worth the visit!
A wonderful park to camp and recreate at. Thank you for the wonderful get away.
Reasonable park with excellent fishing and camping
An amazing place.
I've seen three moose in the first hour here. Great amenities, including sheltered picnic areas with wood burning stoves
We visited late May. Beautiful, well-maintained campground. We especially liked the Red Deer bicycle trail. It is paved through town and wide and clear, mostly grass around the perimeter of the park. We picked up the Red trail in town by the beach and followed it through town, by and around the golf course, and around behind the residential sections, then picked up the Yellow trail where it meets the Red trail and followed it around to the Red Deer campground entrance. I'm only describing all that to say the downhill ride from the woods area before getting to the Yellow trail is an absolute thrill! We had not realized we had climbed that far uphill, the uphill rises being pretty small and relatively painless. Definitely recommend this trail in this direction (counterclockwise).
Very nice area and Waskesiu had some very family friendly interesting areas to go and check out. Some good interactive stuff for kids to teach them about the wilderness and the animals there. It had very nice picnic/bbq areas for families and groups of people. Interesting history of the area.
If you think Saskatchewan is just flat, you haven't been here! Always a gorgeous place! friendly gate staff, super clean grounds, a great place to bring your family.
Beautiful park , lots of trails to explore. Friendly people
Lots of great trails! Excellent backcountry. Took some pictures of bears while I was there.
If ya don't go here your missing out
The water was warm, the weather perfect. Everyone looked after everyone's elses things, and my kid had a great time. its $7.90 per adult after taxes for a 24 hour permit, and free for children.. which means I can definately take him back tonight if I wanted.
Beautiful, peaceful winter destination
The park was great. Felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The condos could use some updating but clean
Wonderful place
The boreal forest extends northerly into the Canadian Shield area from the agricultural zones of southern Canada. Prince Albert National Park lies south of the Shield in landscapes that were shaped by Pleistocene glaciers that deposited glacial till, sand and other materials that were later colonized by trees and shrubs. The ecosystems of Prince Albert National Park are lush and productive. During the warm, humid summers there is abundant insect life and numerous fungi, sustaining a remarkable diversity of boreal birds and other wildlife. There are many lakes and rivers creating wonderful water systems for a variety of waterfowl.
Great place. Town can be crowded but the park itself is incredible.
Loved this place, you can be in contact with the nature. Highly recommended. You should go there and relax for a while.
Amazing place to spend the evening
Fantastic views and trails. We have only done a few and will definitely be coming back.
Great lakes to Kayak, great mini golf, and very scenic locations. Super cramped trailer parks, though.
Amazing landscape! So beautiful, even in spring time with frozen lakes .
150 yrs canada day experience..so fun and a good place for picnic and family gathering..if there's occasion like that many people are going to watch the parade and be early as possible cause parking spot and picnic cottage are limited..first come first serve.!!!
Good
Being from New Brunswick and living in Saskatoon, it feels like this is the closest reasonable place to spend some time in a forest. There are lots of places to hike, camp, or go out on the water. I have done front and back country camping in the area and always enjoy the peace and relaxation I am afforded. We really enjoy packing a lunch to cook in one of the many shelters in Waskesiu. On our visits up here we have seen lots of different wildlife: moose, deer, chipmunks, and various fish and birds. Bug spray is highly recommended!
Love it here beautiful and nice place
Lots of unexplored territory
Well kept, a great way to spend a weekend!
Beautiful and well kept nature. The resort town is clean yet can get pretty crowded.
Beautiful park with plenty to see and do!
Great views, amazing wildlife
Park is very clean. Was a great quiet Sunday afternoon. Seen lots of wildlife!
Lots to do and see. Great family activities and amazing locations to enjoy
An ideal place for camping for a couple of days alongside quiet and beautiful lakes.
Nothing really challenging or adventurous. But the Trail Signs were clear and the information brochures at the beginning of a Trail are a Plus. They should do something about the last Lookout Point (spruce river higland Trail) It was not worth the effort. But maybe that was because we visited this as our last stop after a Day of hiking.
It's a beautiful park with something for everyone whether you like roughing it or the comforts of home. The scenery is always stunning.
Great park with lots of surrounding lakes that are open to visit. The town has a few cute shops and restaurants available, along with a bike rental place. The beach area is well groomed with lots of playground equipment. Be sure to pick up …
Very nice fun place to hand out
Love this park! It never disappoints. Opportunities for everything from fine dining to backcountry excursions. Park staff are always wonderful to deal with.
We had an amazing time camping at Waskesiu this year. Getting out of the car at our campsite (Beaver Glen) we were greeted by an elk 5 meters away. The bugs weren't too bad early June either and very few people were around early in the week. We did the Grey Owls cabin trip, canoeing the majority of the way. It wasn't easy for two intermediate canoers but despite the wind and waves we made it safe and sound. Along the trip we saw Elk, Deer, Black Bears, Rabbits, Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, golden eyes, whiskey jacks and fish jumping around us . It was really picturesque and the other visitors we ran into were great. I remembered as a kid Waskesiu being a place of rules and bug bites but going back was really great.
A gem in the heart
Fantastic, natural, wonderful, National park. Proud to be Canadian!
A fantastic opportunity to enjoy stunning Canadian wildlife and the beautiful outdoors. Lots of walks and places to stay and picnic. The tourist centre is a good start to plan your visit.
Waskesui is a wonderful, beautiful place with something for everyone, from total wilderness and fishing/ boating to fine Dining and shopping.
It was awesome is all i can say
very customer friendly
Beautiful national park... many, many lakes and camping spots. Countless places to fish and enjoy the outdoors... Great places too many to list.
Waskasiu is always a beautiful place to go for a family outing, but remember sometimes that the weather isn't going to be always on your side lol.
One of the best National parks in Western Canada
Highly Recommended for a weekend. Good place for family. The park is open all year but the most visited period is from May to September. Flycatchers, Tennessee warblers, red-necked grebe, brown creepers, nuthatches, three-toed woodpeckers, bald eagle, osprey, great blue herons, common loon are just a few of the many bird species to be seen in this park. Elk, black bear, fox, moose, beaver, deer, otter are also seen.
The fresh air and all the shops especially the bakery
The weather was perfect for a long bike up 263.
Visiting this park is a very rich experience. There are activities for all interests and physical abilities, from scenic drives to canoeing and the like. The picnic facilities are nicely maintained. Some of the beach areas are small and can be really crowded. Wauskesiu itself smacks of a typical tourist town, but it's very clean and a nice walk once you have had enough of the bush. It's not possible to experience everything in just a day trip, so either have a really fixed plan or better yet plan to stay a while and take your time to enjoy it. I will definitely be back.
Stunning, golf, fishing beaches, perfect!!
Been going here since I was a young boy now I'm taking my family here. The parks trails sights and services never disappoint
A National Treasure. Beautiful scenery, wildlife abound. Wonderful hiking trails.
Pride of SASKATCHEWAN. A definite worthwhile vacation choice. So many options for everyone.
A provincial and national treasure. We stopped to have a picnic lunch at the Park Office in Waskesiu after a cold day of snowshoeing and the worker there was more than accommodating, allowing our dog inside to warm up as well. Very proud of PANP as a Canadian and Saskatchewanian.
Haven't been there for at least 40 years and it is much the same layout, pretty little place.
Not the most outstanding park but has what it need for camping
This is a small very beautiful National Park a gem of Saskatchewan!
Very peaceful quiet and exotic scenery.
Prince Albert National park and Lake Waskesiu are amazingly beautiful. The Lake is very nice, the town is beautiful and the trails are amazing.
Very beautiful place - lots to see and do
Thus park has a ton off different kinds of wildlife and birds. Beautiful place to visit.
It was a quiet day when I went up. Took a look at some stuff and seen some wildlife. Very nice
Not much to do on rainy windy days. You even have to pay for Bingo! Nothing is included.
Amazing sites and lots to do. Had a great time!
Beautiful scenery and great hunt
It's just gorgeous, and clean, and well maintained
Best place beat beach, best weekend getaways, best for couples and kids.
Awesome trails, super clean water, best lakes in saskatchewan are up here
Always love my time here it's an amazingazing place ...love the mixture of wilderness and civilization....it can be whatever you want it to be ????
Favorite place to be with friends
Was a wonderful experience even in the rain!!! Highly reccomend a visit! We are definately goung again!!
The most beautiful place in Saskatchewan! Clean, clear, large lake. Lots of fishing, swimming, golfing to be had and so much more.
Beautiful nature! Quiet place by the lake
Great place to visit. Beautiful park with hiking paths, lakes, camping, wildlife, etc.
Great place to explore, endless trails and views. Very friendly people everywhere, everything you need and want all in one small park/town. Great places to eat, my personal favorite is Petes Terrace always lively in there and food is unreal. Looking to get out in the waters or trails make sure you go check out grey owl centre, they have a wide veritey of equipment that will keep you outside all day. Theres alot more the park offers than just listed here so go explore enjoy guys!
Scenery like nowhere else!
Beautiful country, lots of wildlife, and many private areas for water activities! Beautiful golf in the area as well. Campgrounds and spacious
Nice place. Reminiscent of most National Parks.
If you get the opportunity, go to the West Side! Saw a wild bison, was so cool. Plus the hiking was more challenging here than in the rest of the park, and there were some really rewarding views!
First time visit absolutely worth the drive from Saskatoon The beauty of this place is unbelievable Will definitely be back
Great place for weekend
Beautiful and you can get away from the crowds easily
Wow it's like driving into jasper beautiful
This place is beautiful if you like the outdoors without leaving cell service. In August the sun turns the sand purple.
Stay away, its no good here.
One of the nicest place around. So worth the trip.
Awesome resort town in the heart of the wilderness.
Good beaches, camp kitchens for warming food. Trailer park open with every second spot left vacant. Not all showers open yet but stores are open and three restaurants open. Golf course is also open.
Well-maintained park. Lots to do. Another great piece of Saskatchewan!
Lot's of wildlife, great hiking!
Not a great place.
Wonderful place to visit and camp
Beautiful park and scenery. It was quiet and peaceful yet had a lot of amenities to enjoy. Definitely worth the trip and definitely worth another visit.
Beautiful park
Loved Saskatchewan's little Banff. Highly recommended going in the spring because you will get the park all to yourself. Perfect for a weekend or roadtrip! ???? Lots of small little hikes which make the trip much more worth while.
Gorgeous, lots of campsites with lots to see and do in the area would definately recommend
Beautiful place very expensive unless u have a good friend with a place thanks Kenny
We saw 3 elk, 3 deer but no bears. We drove around the Elkridge Resort & Estates & the town of Waskesiu. Lots of camp grounds & hiking trails.
Absolutely stunning. Must see if you are ever in the area. Worth the drive up from Prince Albert
Amazing park full of wildlife and great lakes.
Nicely groomed hiking trails at Anglin Lake.
Wonderful place to connect with nature. The summer events, fishing and boating, hiking, camping. This year it is free to enter the National Parks and Waskesiu is a gem to visit and explore. Highly recommended.
Did a 4.4km hike to Tait Springs and back. It was beautiful. Can't wait to see it in the summer.
Camping is awesome! But the mosquitos are very bad.
September is a great month to get away from the house and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the trails.
The walk and hiking was great. Would have been nice to have km markers or even trees off the paths
I was a child of seven years, when we spent our 1st family vacation staying in the then named Manvilles Bungalows. We rented one of the smallest ones available, so space was limited for our family of 2 adults, and 2 children. I remember it as a palace however, and the Chuckwagon Dinner heated up on the vintage stove. The following year, we rented a cabin down at the Narrows, as they were larger, and not quite as expensive. This was the summer of 1957, and I have returned to the Narrows each summer since. The semi wilderness camping with no powered sites, national park rules prohibiting ATV's, personal watercraft, and routinely enforced quiet times etc. over the years has attracted a similarly minded group of regular campers, plus younger family groups seeking genuine peace, tranquility, and safety for children. The fact that Waskesiu has been a national treasure for many decades, has kept it from the pollution, developments, that many other resort areas are now faced with. The lake itself is still clean, with no junk from old buildings, farms etc around its perimeter. I am now close in time to celebrating my 70th birthday, and plan on doing so up the the Waskesiu Narrows, as I have done in many previous years !
As good as it gets for sasky standards. Not a whole lot to do vs the mountains. Summers are a good time to visit. There are alot of bugs and the lake is pretty cold compared to most B.C lakes. In winter the place is a ghost town, so depends what your into.
Our One More Travel Destination Waskesiu in Prince Albert National Park ????????
Very beautiful! Well looked after national park.
Absolutely best time to visit September. The fall foliage was amazing. Not very busy but lots still open. Warm enough that we sat on the beach a couple of days. Great hikes in and around Waskesiu. We stayed in MH in the campground, full service mostly level with space between units. Will definitely be back again next year.
Fabulous scenery and easy to access trails and lake activities! Excellent variety in camping options. Rustic town site with variety of services. Programming for young and old!
Great sites. Water and showers available. Friendly staff. Great scenery
Park entry is to costly as we spend a lot of money golfing, drinking eating and accommodations. We don't fish.
Great beach. Wildlife was plentiful.
Great place to vacation. Lots to do and see
Perfect for adventurers. They can go biking, hiking or boating at Waikesiu beach. Just bring mosquito repellant
Gorgeous pristine waters of Sandy Lake greeted us on Sunday of the May long weekend, filleting shack and bathrooms were nice and clean as well. We were greeted by the Game Warden when we got back to the dock, checked us out and we were on our way. The National Park is an incredible place to visit!
While a bit out of the way for many folks this park is a hidden gem. We camped in three areas all were easy for a longer travel trailer. Lots of lakes and hikes to spend ones time at.
Beautiful scenery and lake. Can be very busy on weekends and holidays but always enjoy going no mater the time of year.
Lots to see and lots to do,get to see lots of wildlife
Enjoy the outdoors my friends and family.
Great access to northern lakes, forest and wildlife. Excellent historic golf course. Reasonable rates. Good fishing, biking, hiking, sports facilities, beach.
It's so beautiful out there.
We were in Waskesiu for three days. We canoed The Hang Heart Lakes, Which was fabulous and Waskesiu Lake west of the Narrows, which was very good. We tried the Waskesui River but it was too shallow and scraped up my homemade canoe quite badly. I wouldn't take advice from the visitor centre very seriously. We also did some excellent hiking. The fall colours were amazing. The restaurant options are limited in fall and fairly pricey but the food very good. We had fabulous weather but that can change very rapidly in the north.
We enjoyed the walking trails and shops!
Beautiful scenery this time of year with the leaves changing
Great place to get away winter or summer
Such a beautiful country we have north of Prince Albert. Was up for May long weekend and had a blast. It is always so relaxing to get out in nature. Actually stayed in a cabin in La Ronge and fished Mackay lake. Pretty good fishing but I would of had a good time if we caught nothing. Camp grounds are well maintained. Was the first weekend to fish but I even saw the fish cleaning shack getting cleaned. If you like the out doors it is worth the visit to one of Saskatchewan's many lakes, camp grounds and tourist sites.
Nice place to visit. Close to nature and good for trekking.
It was so beautiful. I've only been in the winter when no one else was around but definitely want to come back in the summer. Stopped by the beach and wished it was 60 degrees warmer.
One of my favourite places in the province. Canoe and camp their in the summer, ski in the winter. Year round fun!

An amazing place!! You could spend weeks here doing different hikes and activities. We stayed near Waskesiu. The waskesiu beach is huge and very well kept. We saw lots of elk and some deer.
Love it here. Beautiful and friendly. Could do with better restaurants though! One exception is the golf club restaurant who do AMAZING chicken wings.
