Really great downtown park. The river is close, you can see the boats pulling wake boarders and people on seadoos in the summer. The taste of sask is here with tons of local food and music. The ice cream bus is a minute walk away and in the summer when the jazz festival is on you can hear the music from the delta bessborough.

Kiwanis Memorial Park is located along the South Saskatchewan River Bank and the Meewasin Trail in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. In the summer this park is very busy with people being active walking cycling running or just enjoying the beauty of the views of the river along the Meewasin Trail. This park also hosts many of the City Of Saskatoon’s summer events such as the Jazz Festival and Taste of Saskatchewan. In the winter it is much quieter with activity but is still just as beautiful. Once the park has enough snow and the weather is cool enough this park gets a lot of attention with people of all ages skating on the rink next to the Historic Bessborough Hotel. At night the tree in the middle of the rink is lit up with chromes lights and stay up until the rink closes for the season. Kiwanis Park is a tribute to Saskatoon’s war veterans and will come across some historic landmarks such as the Vimy Memorial Bandshell hone ring veterans from world war 1, a large water fountain to honour those who fought in world war 2 and more.

I like taking my rottie for his long walks and going down by the river bed and playing with him. I think they should add a few more garbage cans as it seems people can't take them the extra 15 feet to get up from a bench to put their garbage away. Put up no litrering signs because it seems people are terrible.

Next to the Saskatchewan River and home to many geese all around the year! Many of city festivals such as Taste of Saskatchewan and the global village are held close to here. Very beautiful sceneries all the time. In summer and spring, it is always green and sunny which makes it suitable for an afternoon walking or jogging. In fall it is full of colors and leaves! Winter is pure white with a view of a partially iced river.

So I read on FB how do u feel downtown. Well knock on wood. I grew up here, and never had any problems. I'm street smart. If I see a bunch of people look shady or just feel not right I go another way. Or just don't be by yourself at night. I trust my city. It was beautiful down by the river. One of the nicer parks located along the river. Can’t go wrong with a nice walk in the area along Spadina! Events held in the park are generally good in my opinion. Parking is rough since our downtown lacks any kind of proper parking system/convenience.

This Park is very popular with most locals. It's the scene of many festivals like Childrens Festival, Jazz Festival, Taste of Saskatchewan and many other local celebrations. You'll often see people bicycling, walking pets and sitting on benches taking in the view of the river. Even in the dead of winter you can find many people enjoying all the park has to offer. The vimy memorial gazebo is host to many musical guests and a great spot for family photography. Because this park is alpng the Meewasin Trail you won't be disappointed.

It's a really nice place to sit and walk around. The Kiwanis Memorial park has been downtown for as long as I can remember. Being a young kid and playing around here was so much fun. I have seen weddings , church bands, graduations and supporting families here at this spot. I guess I need to read up on the history of the little white band stand by the bessborough hotel...

Grounds are well kept and there are plenty of benches. No picnic tables or restrooms though; the one under the Vimy bandstand is permanently closed, so you'll have to go downriver to the outdoor rink shelter.

Always the best location for huge number of events holds Whatever food festival or music festival are all good in this huge area park This year my parents came to visit me, and we walk around this comfortable green park before the Food Festival. It is quite and peace, you won’t feel hot during the summer time. Tall trees and fancy leaves cover the most of area in this park, sunshine does not easy plate on the ground. It is great Saskatoon government has built good place for people who live in here better.

I lived a block from Kiwanis for six years. It was a privilege to live near one of Saskatoon’s keystone parks. It is, however, one of the busiest spots in the city and the center of many events and activities, so if you’re looking for solitude, go to another spot.

Trailed the area on my visit to Saskatoon. It was beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. Just be careful with all the ice patches in the winter, but to be expected. It’s a nice pace away from the city area, yet right next to it.

Very nice park for the Taste of Saskatchewan event. Lots of space and trees. My only issue with this area is the parking. With TOS and a 3 on 3 basketball tournament going on close by, the parking is a nightmare. The food and entertainment were great! Always a great time had by my family. We love to eat, so this is perfect for us ????

Always beautiful around Kiwanis Park at a venue that should probably be moved to an area where parking would be more accessible especially for a person who is disabled. We thoroughly enjoyed the music that played during lunch hour which was awesome. The food I guess was okay. I thought there would be more venues. Food quality was ok and agree with the comment about food not being hot enough.
