I would vote 5 stars but, on the parks Canada website I saw no indication that this was a new under construction campground. As per the website there were wash stations, which was essential for our 1 week camp trip. It was just not easy to wash our dishes and cookware, and there could have been more notice. I would have camped anywhere with parks Canada for my week camping trip. So there for I can only afford them 3 stars. It's so beautiful being away from everything (depending where you're from that is). But the newly opened badlands parkway is beautiful the hiking is beautiful the flowers are beautiful! I also feel the park is geared towards seniors or an older group anyways. There's lots of warnings about hiking and getting lost, I mean I don't know how you could possibly get lost in the prairies, but I guess that's the Toronto in me talking. The staff though we're fantastic, they provided us with a great star map as you can really see our universe from here. But special mention to Melanie and Cora Lynn from the visitor centre who helped boost our car thanks!

Do not enjoy grasslands

Lovely park, pity that there is no way to go directly from the west side tho the east park. We followed the gps on Google and three times ended up in the middle of fields with no more gravel road ahead of us. Anyway, nice park. We hardly sleep at night due to the high quantity of coyotes around our tent

The pictures are misleading. There are no bison in the east block. It does have some great hikes and the badlands parkway (which is the only paved road in both sides of the park). It has amazing views. We did a guided hike where we saw fossils and it was amazing!

Most peaceful place in the province. Secluded, quiet, and free to roam anywhere in the park. Absolutely beautiful place.

This and the West block are hidden jewels in south Saskatchewan, a little disappointing that the roads were closed, but still enjoyed the experience of being here, I will definitely be back

(Translated) Landscapes like nowhere else in Canada. We were in the East Block, camping sites flooded after the rain and the ground was very soft the following days. (Original) Des paysages comme nulle part ailleurs au Canada. Nous étions au bloc Est, les sites de camping se sont inondés après la pluie et le sol est resté très mou les jours suivants.

Absolutely stunning place to hike/backpack. Such a beautiful place to reconnect with nature and lose yourself out in the wide open spaces. The Valley of 1000 Devils is a definite highlight, and the new parkway is a great way to experience the grasslands for those unable to hike. Will be going back for sure and would recommend to anyone looking for new experiences in Saskatchewan.

I stayed in a tipi! Nice dark sky red lighting! There was a fore bam but they had bbqs for use! The tipis were great and while it got pretty cold at night they seemed to hold the heat well! The down side to the tipis is you need to cart your stuff up a hill. They have a cart for this that has nice large wheels and makes it really very easy but I didn't realize this before I got there. Lots of friendly folks lots of good hiking paths and there is even a park shack that has food and eminities if needed.
