This urban woodlot is made up of eight forest stands, at least two of which are remarkable (a red spruce forest and a bicentennial hemlock grove). In its entirety, this exceptional forest ecosystem preserves the last wetland of the upper town of Quebec and is home to precious species including the extremely rare four-toed salamander. Ultimately, this wood of ecological interest is threatened with destruction by a major residential project.
