REVIEWS OF Dalewood Reservoir Trail IN Saint Thomas

Denise Hewitt

I love this trail. Extreme ice for the last visit, spikes are mandatory. I'll avoid the trail for a bit during thaw as it'll be a mud fest. Beautiful area, excellent trail. Adequate (free) parking in two areas.

Nice Kayaking experience!

Matt Helps

Great for hiking. The fish are fussy and won't bite on worms?!? Kinda weird.

Lia Michelle

This is such a lovely hike, especially right before sunrise. The trail is well carved out but you should definitely wear proper footwear as it goes up and down and in a few places it can get a tad steep.

Be ready for a long hike! Looks like a classic canoe lake, so I can't wait to bring mine next time! Edit: I brought my canoe not too long after and I couldn't paddle to far out, the water is a lot smaller that it looks!

Very nice trail for hiking and perfect little lake for kayaking.

Megan Ward

Great hike! Not too flat but not too hilly either. Can be muddy in spots. Just wish they would get rid of that dead goat that has been floating in the water for 4 weeks now (marker 5).

Ryan Johnson

Outside of an overly small parking lot, love the trails. The pond is very shallow so kayaking isn't ideal. Disc golf section.

Zack Aeichele

Beautiful hike. Takes a few hours. Small bridges, lots of Hills, can get pretty muddy.

The views from the trail around the lake / reservoir are quite good. However there are no benches or any other options for sitting and taking a rest. The trail is rough, narrow and steep, at several points. Not easy for anyone with mobility issues.

Jess

Very nice walking trails. Nice area to walk the dogs

We kayaked the reservoir and up towards the river system that takes you to Ron MacNeil Line. Lots of wildlife! Turtles, heron, bald eagles, deer, and so many fish. Just wish the water was clearer. It was pretty empty on a Wednesday.

Chris Thomson

Nice park, good fishing.

Michael Basha

Nice trail around the resevoir, well kept, mild elevation changes, dense canopy so bring bug spray but very enjoyable experience
