A wonderful place. Our dog loves it! In summer there is parking close to it. But in winter the road to the dog park parking is closed for safety. It's a good wide open space where the dogs can run and the owners can still keep a good sightline. There's a pond and a "wet spot", trees and benches. Dress for the weather, and yes, in mud season, the pups (and owners) will be muddy and wet.

Great place to go train your dog. Get off the beaten path and head down the trails. The dog park is closed due to covid, but there dogs can still socialize out there. Also there's some fire pits and kids zone. So there's a lot to do if you bring your own fun!

Nice Park The loop, deepest in, is closed off and mostly neglected. That's a shame. There used to be a large public swimming pool here. That's gone now too. That's a shame. The main loop has been all repaved. That's nice. I never used the washroom so I can't report if those are open or the condition. We just hiked around.

Best dog park in the city. Although the Google directions always leads me the wrong way. Go down Glenridge and turn right on the first street after the mini overpass and follow that straight into the park.

This is a great place to bring your dog, especially if you have a wanderer, like my beagle. Off leash, most places, c as soon as he got a sniff if something interesting, he'd be gone. The large dog section of this park is a very large space, they can run and explore to their hearts content... Safely.

Great place during the non-winter months. It's sad there is no local dog park during the winter with separate parks for small and large dogs. My poor pup got attacked by a big dog at the other St Catharines location. I wish they would make two separate parts in the Catharines Street park. It would be nice to have a safe dog park in the winter for the small dogs too.

Great place to go hang out. Not sure if the pools are still open but the land is taken care by the city. Despite being in the middle of the city, you don't feel it there. There are alot of trails to explore and a dog park to enjoy.

Love the oak trees. Lots of shade and parking. Washrooms are nice and clean. One longterm camper seems to be allowed to break the "no camping" rule, but nothing overly bothersome.

This is my favourite off leash dog park. There are others that are closer to my home but I go the extra way to go to this one. It's hard to find a place to socialize little dogs so this is perfect for my little 4 pound yorkie. Lots of small dogs and also a larger dog area. Beautiful place to have a picnic and to hike on the trails.

Nice large area for dogs to play, water hose for dogs to enjoy a drink or a dip in the pool that is there. There is also 2 fenced areas to separate large and small dogs which is nice.

Great park! Lots of space! There is usually a hose hooked up and some buckets for drinking. Its also great for hosing down your dog when your about to leave.

My daughter went to a nature retreat for special needs. It was a great location for walks. There is a park available for kids as well. The park is relatively new 15-20 years old. Picnic tables are available too. Washrooms are available during summer time.

This is our favourite place to bring our dog! It's large and well maintained, with a pond puddle for dogs to cool down in. There are often 5 - 10 dogs in the large dog section, and 1 or 2 in the small section.

Drive in public park with sprawling fields, wooded areas, lots of walking and recreational trails and a dog park area. Throughout the park there are also picnic tables, washrooms and ample space for family gatherings and outdoor fun.

One of the largest open space areas for dogs to run around that I’ve been to. Separate areas for small and large dogs, about 20 parking spaces or so near the dog park, more parking available within walking distance. A walking trail inside the dog park would be nice, but only offers grassed areas and a few benches.

Absolutely huge dog park. Both small dog park and the large dog park have fresh water available for hydration, or cleaning (lol). Woods, tables, benches in both small and large dog parks. Very well maintained.

This park features two huge fenced in wooded areas with picnic benches; one slightly smaller for small dogs and a larger one for big dogs. Both areas have a double gate so you can let your dog off its leash without worrying about someone accidentally letting it out when they enter. Each area also has a faucet and hose for rinsing off if you or your dog get a little dirty.

Great big park for the puppers to run around at. Separated into small and big dogs which is nice. They provide a hose and buckets for water. Last time they had a kiddie pool for the dogs to cool off in. Make sure you double check before you go if the mud pit is there.

This is a large park with several different areas including picnic areas with shelters, children's play areas, hiking trails and an off leash dog park. The dog park has separate areas for large and small dogs.

This is a great park for hikes and to being the kids. The pool is no longer here, however the playground is newer. There are bbq stations, bring your charcoal. There is also a place for dogs. If you feel adventurious then there are trails that are a bit more challenging. Great for larger group picnics.

A beautiful large park. I actually prefer it in winter. Sections of it are maintained with grassy or shaded picnic areas, playground, dog park. Parking is plentiful but there are no amenities.

Tons of green space! Newly paved roads that will be great for rollerblading, lots of benches, picnic tables and shade. Playground is fairly large and located by a large parking lot. Didn't have a chance to go down the dip and up the hill to check out the dog park - next time. ????

Fenced in, there is a hose and small pool for the dogs. It's very small though, not a tonne of shade. They should really expand it... small dog fenced in area and bigger dog fenced in area.

The landscape and large deciduous trees offer welcome shade on hot summer days. Unfortunately the city parks division responsible for maintenance and other standards such as providing ample fountains and picnic tables that are not disintegrating and are properly painted have not maintained expectations. Please urge the City to make improvements to basic standards

My family and I have been coming here for years. The individual sites with the steel barbecue is a great spot for people to come together and enjoy the natural beauty that St. Catharines has to offer. There is always more than enough parking, tables space, and the park is well maintained.

Great space! Dogs always interact so well in this dog park but sometimes you have to wait for people to show up. I do not know if there is a busy time. There is water access. A small pond forms when there is a lot of rain but it was dry all summer!

Absolutely incredible! I have two small Chihuahuas who loved playing in the small dog area and loved being able to interact with the bigger dogs through the fence without fear of being trampled. It's a huge space for your pups to run around and blow off some energy! Definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed this place and have for years. Never that busy and lots of shade and open space. A great little retreat nestled in the middle of the city. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because the portable toilet was gross and it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned for some time. Since the regular washrooms were closed (and for good reason), they should at least maintain this and keep it as clean as possible.

It is sad, they used to have a nice trail going across the train tracks and it would lead to the houses across the tracks. You can still find the trail but it is way smaller, it used to be paved.

I just love this place and go there often for my lunch break. But I was so disappointed to see that they blocked off the back picnic areas to cars with a guardrail as it was so nice to park in the shade and enjoy the park. I do not see any logical reason for this and feel it was a waist of money and not well thought out

A lovely getaway location in the middle of the city. There is enough parking space for the visitors, a nice playground, a dog play area and a picnic pavilion. The hiking path isn't that long but satisfactory. During winter months, the other side of the park is closed to vehicle traffic and walkways aren't maintained which is an extra advantage for kids.
