This Park belongs to the category of Park.
It's the only place in Red Deer to walk your dog just look out for the algae in the water
Huge space with lots of trails for my big puppy to explore. She absolutely loves it. Great place for a dog to be a dog! We’ll be back lots, I’m sure!
Great off the leash dog park
Good to walked by nice place
Wish owners would pick up after their dogs better
Best place to stop for lunch
Always an beautiful place to just relax and enjoy time in nature with my dog! So many friendly people walking down there.
An excellent park right on the Red Deer river.
Met so many amazing people, my pupper loved it. The trails are beautiful, and with so much water if your dog loves to swim this is the place.
This is a beautiful walk along the river and also an off leash park.
2 times in the last month my little dog has been attacked. It would sure be nice to see more Animal control presence. It's the most beautiful place. Sadly it is not being respected. The City does a nice job cleaning the trash cans, garbage and grass cutting, but people dont pick-up after the dogs and aggressive dogs are going unchecked. Licenses might also be checked more.
Nice place to go for a walk and walk in some water
Great place to go for a walk without driving two hours to the mountains, nice trails along the river easy to walk
North side of river overlooking Three Mile Bend off leash Dog Park.
Trail along the river
Such a wonderful spot to walk your puppy
Love the nature
Very nice place for a walk with your dog.
The first 2 times ever going there since moving to the city. I found it ok for walking paths. But so many dogs left unattended by owners
Meh
Much nicer than 2 mile bend.
Great place to go for a dog walk. Nice off-leash park with areas for the dogs to swim and run freely along the various pathways. Beautiful location isolated from the surroundings.
I love love this place, however I am surprised at how many people don't clean up after their pup has pooped!!! Even in the cold weather/snow we are having/had the main play field was just like a toilet for dogs. The paths are clear but along the sides, yet again just piles of poop. There are poop bags provided people if you have forgotten yours. Here's an idea, grab one or two before you get going on the trail. Also, some owners seem to feel that just letting their pooch off leash means a total free range, out of sight out of mind mentality. These dogs are lovely but I honestly don't like being put in a position where a dog jumps at me, I can't see the owner, or that their dog is just a bother. Not all the dogs at the park have been friendly.
People and dogs were friendly.
Great off leash area. Different loops you can take. Washrooms are usable. Only issue I had is that it’s an off leash park with paths adjacent to the roadway, which isn’t necessarily safe for the dogs. And I find people are parking on the edge of the road closer to the lake than in the parking lot, which jams up the road, and it always makes me nervous that a kid or dog will run out from between vehicles into the road. Might not hurt to bring your leash and leash up when you’re in these areas if you don’t trust your dog 100%
Great pathways!
Off leash dog park with plenty of river access.
Great place for walking and taking your dogs to roam around.
Great place for your dog friends. Loved it here and will be back
Awesome park, beautiful scenery and wildlife
Beautiful trails, it's right beside the river. There's tons of wildlife..including an Eagle nest..
There is no better dog park in Red Deer as it has the river and ponds as well as recreational opportunities for paddlers and fishing too
I take the pups there as it's much closer than Oxbows. However, because of the river and ponds, care must be taken during ice melting months.
Nothing wrong and I enjoy it
Lovely place to walk your dog, great atmosphere, good people, and lots of adorable, obidient dogs, very calming and great way to burn some calories. ????????????
A great place to take your dog off leash, be aware there are lots of ponds and it runs along the river. If your friend needs to cool off there are plenty of options and the good and bad that entails.
Good place to take the dog for a run but be a little careful as there are lots of people that dont have control of there dog here
Love this place so much. One of my old dogs has a plaque on the log.
Great dog walking park !
My dog and I go to 3 Mile Bend multiple times per week. We love the scenery, well cared for trails and the variety of activity areas it has to offer
Awesome dog park.
Amazing dog park where everyone picks up after their dog, or you can legally throw it at them!
Love all puppies. People are friendly. Clean park.
The city should fence off the algae contaminated ponds. Beautiful trails. Wildflowers in full bloom. The dogs love this place!
Great dog park and very beautiful for a walk.
No drinking water source. Lots of ponds though. Paved trails and pit toilets if you're desperate. Picnic tables, poop bags and garbage bins are plentiful. Of the local Central Alberta parks this is one of my favourites. No fencing.
Great place to let the dogs out!!????????
Excellent public off leash dog park. I bring my dogs here multiple times a week and they absolutely love it. The water is for the most part clean. Beware of the far East pond it is known to have blue algae during the summer months. Until the city deals with this pond I cannot give more than 4 stars.
Beautiful paved trails along the Red Deer River surrounded by trees, ponds and shrubs. Public washrooms are available. Have seen an abundant amount of wildlife at the park including moose, pelicans, geese, hawks and other birds.
Fishing with the family. Too bad it rained!
My dogs love it here . People need to clean up from there pets. Nobody likes to step in( it )
Hot
The paved walking paths were great! The trails off the paved path were also very nice. Maybe it was just the day we were there, but there were no untrained dogs there, which is very rare to find.
I love this off-leash dog park. If you enjoy strolling along the river at 6am, it is safe, beautiful and you’ll most likely get lucky and see some sort of wildlife. From beavers to osprey to foxes and moose! But make sure your puppy’s well …
Great large off leash dog park!
3 Mile Bend is the gem of Red Deer
Great park to walk the dogs, a lot of dog owners forget that you need to clean up after your dog. They provide bags near the parking lots and garbage cans along the path so dog mess can be removed and properly disposed.
I love Three Mile Bend. It's gorgeous and there are always so many dogs! People are friendly and considerate and seem to almost always pick up after their dogs.
Nicely wooded trails over 40 acres alongside the river. Washroom facilities, poop bags, benches etc.
This is a very nice off leash dog park, right by the river
Off leash dog park many paved trails wonderful views and a stunt skii park
Love it!
It's a great place to walk the dog....most dogs are well trained. Some owners are not!
It an ok place to take your dog in the off hours, there are to many people who have no control over their dogs who insist on letting them be off leash to make it a safe place to be with your dogs.
Beautiful park and concept - it is really a great place to come walk your dog off leash worry free.
The go-to dog park in Red Deer!
A sizable off-leash park with numerous paths winding through the trees and around a couple of nice ponds. Although it is not fully fenced in there is enough space that it's not an issue. If you have an excitable pup you might want to keep them on leash at least until you are a bit away from the parking lot; people are very careful and considerate but accidents can happen. There are a variety of trails with many junctions to allow you to walk as much or as little as you like. Also a good spot to see wild birds and a large family of beavers that is very active in the summer months.
Dog park
Best dang dog park in the world!
Awesome off leash park. Just wish owners picked up more after there dogs and made sure there dog isn't starting fights
Great peaceful place to walk your dog. Weekends... Well I would avoid, it gets to be very very busy
A geat place, this place is amazing to bring you and and your dog or just yourself.
Fantastic place for walking dogs! It's a pity not everyone picks up their business though. Still, great views and amenities.
Great place to walk the dogs (on or off leash). Paths take you down to the river where you can your fur babies can cool off and socialize with other dogs.
This is a great place to walk the dog off leash. There's access to the river for playing too.
Great place to take the ????
I really enjoy taking my dog here. Other dog owners are friendly, has always been safe for my dog off leash and she loves the space available to run around to burn off energy. Great walking trails and scenery, and access to the river for a doggy drink and cool down.
A great off-leash dog area. Nice trails through trees and near ponds and the river. A decent picnic area as long as you're ok with dogs.
The best off leash dog park in red deer. Lots of people utiliza and appreciate this park for what it has to offer. Always busy! Kept fairly clean. Public washrooms which is super convenient. Lots of parking which also is convenient. It's winter right now and they've sanded the walking trails which is nice.
Best dog park in Red Deer
Great park. Lots of walkways for short or long walks. Some hidden treasures peppered off the beaten path. Great place for dogs to swim in the summer.
The best dog park anywhere. Acces to the Red Deer River, and other ponds for dogs to swim and play. Very large area with multiple paved paths, and forest trails. There is something for everyone here, the city also provides poop bags for patrons who forget or run out.
great place for dog fun
Great dog park!!
Wonderful dog park!
Awesome place to walk your pets off leash. There are paved paths, additional dirt paths through treed areas, multiple ponds, river access, bathrooms, is accessable year round, and tons of parking. On the negative side, the smaller ponds are prone to blue green algae blooms throughout the summer, and since the paths are connected to the city wide path system the area is not fully fenced.
Great off leash dog walk with good access to the river.
Great spot to socialize your dogs
Head here for morning dog walks and love the space. I love seeing all the different dog breeds and learning about animal behaviour haha...it's a great place to go whether or not you have your dog with you. The trails are great for a quick 30 to hour long walk or jog. Recommend it
????????????
Wonderful off leash area - many trails and paths to explore
Beautiful place to walk your dog. I love taking mine here.
Fun off leash dog park
Beautiful park with lots of paths to walk and enjoy nature. It is alongside the Red Deer river and has a couple ponds as well. Great place to bring your dogs for an off leash walk or swim.
Such a treasure in red deer. Good for the soul AND the dog
Great place for bringing your dogs, there's paths all the way down the river.
Our family loves going for a walk here and seeing all the dogs. Only compliant would be people not picking up after their dogs!
What a fantastic place for biking, hiking, picnicking and more! and so many beavers to spot :) My kids loved biking there.
Beautiful to take a walk but to many people don't pick up their dog poo.
A wonderful area to take your furry friends for a walk
Fantastic off leash dog park with many different paths and riverside walks!
Great place to walk or walk your dog! Lots of space
Beautiful walk right along the river. I personally have never had any issues with bad mannered people or their pups. Lovely off leash dog park❤
Absolutely delightful place to walk and lots to see. Also great way to extend a walk into other trails.
Great place to go for a walk, go fishing or have a family bbq. There are alot of walking paths along the river, picnic tables, dog park and a dock to try your fishing luck. A+
This trail is beautiful specially the Autumn .perfect for your portrait
great place for fishing and hanging out with friends
My favourite place to unwind. A beautiful dog park with lots of trails to wear the pooches and their walker's out.
Great off leash dog park that has paved and natural trails that wind along the river.
I bring my dog here frequently. It's much better then the one by the dump. More trails here, more dogs, more scenery and all around more positive energy. My dog lives it here and I've never come across an aggressive dog.
Absolutely beautiful walk. My dog loves walking in the trees and playing in the water.
Nice paths and views, BUT, don't let your dogs in the ponds they are so gross. Dog will smell for days.
Very crowded and there is a certain demographic of people who bring untamed animals to this off leash dog park that ruin the experience for others. Off Leash comes with responsible ownership.
Great space to take you dog.
Nice place. I love it. First time. I like to come back another time
Great place to walk your dog off the leash. Love jogging the trails beside the river. Overall one of the best parks in Red Deer.
Miles and miles of places to walk my dogs are used to the different paths now as we have been going for years. Wildlife can be seen especially osprey
Love to take my dog to this place its got a huge paved trail and a bunch of off the beaten path ones through the wooded areas. Also a rock beach along the river to take ypur dog to get a drink of water or play in the water ! Definitely recommend this place! Just make sure to pick up after your dogs !
Great off leash area. My dogs love the water holes and exploring in the trees.
Great Dog Park, Ski Jump training too
Lots to see.
Beautiful natural space on the river! And a dog park! A lovely way to spend an afternoon. ????
Best dog park ive ever been too!
Nicer place but get great very crowded.
Great place, almost only good interactions with other dogs. Do not recommend bringing your kids here, they are too small and could be knocked down by a large dog. Lots of dog owners who have little control of their dogs. It's an off leash area, but if you need one to control your dog you should still use one. Kept relatively clean. Nice scenery.
great place to walk and meet
This is a wonderful example of what nature has the offer, even in the middle of a city. What a great place to bring your family and pets for an afternoon
Beautiful place for dogs to run free and socialize. Not fenced in. Intertwined with nature as there are warning signs about wildlife (ie beavers) Near the river and open water. Also near training center for downhill skiers and there is a sectioned off area for ppl with small remote control vehicles. Cyclists can use the path. Bathrooms available and dog bags for waste pick update available.
Walks are clear. Nice walk with my sis and our dogs!
Best dog park in the province
Great place for a walk with dog and kids
This is by far my most favorite dog park in this area!
Swimming spots if your dog likes, or many paved trails in the shade or sun. Your choice. Highly recommended.
Such a beautiful area along the river
Excellent dog park
Washrooms makes this a great place for anyone with disability and a dog.
Lots and lots of space to walk and run!
Now this is a cool place to take your dog. If you haven't you should
Great place
Fantastic place to run my dogs. Wish they had a park like this in Ontario
Great place to walk
Great park! Nice walking trails, beautiful scenery, but could use more outhouses. Paddleboarding and biking are possibilities as well.
Prefer oxbows just because of the fence but my basset hounds are kind of dumb and like to wander
This place is so beautiful and fantastic for dogs!
We love this park. It is so clean (usually), Peaceful, and a Beautiful space along the river. We are so lucky to have access to this gorgeous propetry. ????
People just need to pick up their dog poop!!!
We are so grateful to have such an amazing, huge space to explore in Red Deer that backs onto a river. This Recreational Park allows leash dog walking and provides poop bags, which is helpful. It also has a ski-jump and canoeing ponds. Family friendly and a great place for your dog to socialize with other dogs. Something super cool about this place is that it has a doggy graveyard. When my dog passes I think I will put his name plate on the log with the others. Loads of space for dogs to run! My dog enjoys swimming there in the summer. Highly recommended for those who want to spend quality time with their pets!!
Love taking my furbaby here! Meeting so many awesome furbaby owners.
Love it there... Lots of fun to bring your dogs
Great place to walk the dog. Lots of natural space and numerous small ponds for the dogs to swim in or cool down.
A great dog park
Great place to take your dog.
Wish people could pick up their dog poop .
Awesome off leash dog park! The River sand trails & forest!
Great park with lots of water features.
Busy as heck. Only as good as the people there. Otherwise; very peaceful.
Best park in town
I love it good place to relax
Off Leash Dog Park [wish people would make a better effort to clean the dog dodo up]
Best dog park and facilities anywhere.
Great place to let your dog run around, I loved that there was the river along the path. Bathroom for people to use, dog bags, garbage cans. The scenery is also amazing. Find the people who use this park are a bit stuck up though.
Great place to take your dogs. Could use more benches tho
One of the best off leash parks I have ever been to. Lots of water, lots of paved paths and Bush paths to explore. One of my new dog friendly favorites!!!
Best off leash dog park ever!
Water!!!
Beautiful place
Thank you Red Deer for considering creating such a beautiful place for our 4 legged friends to enjoy! Lucky has never seen so many dogs ???? before!
I love this place!!!!!!!
This really is one of the best off leash dog parks. Nice trails and lots of trees. There is a solemn place just off the main path with a dead tree that has all of these nameplates of pets past mounted to it, sad but beautiful.
Beautiful off leash dog park!
Me and my two heelers absolutely love coming here. Lots of places for them to swim and so much open space where dogs can be dogs. I have met lots of great people and get to love and play with other pups. A great place to go.
Best dog park anywhere
Great place to take dogs for a swim and a walk. Beware of blue-green algae at certain times but there is usually signage up when that's a problem. Also an OK place to pull out of the river when kayaking.
Off leash park spoils walk along river
Great place to take the dog for a run
A wonderful place to watch a sunset
Our favorite place to take our dogs! All the people and pups are super friendly
Very nice place to walk your dog and site seeing... friendly people.
Dog and people love it. My two year daughter lives the river and all the dogs.
My dog and I love coming here. The best time to come is either in the morning or early afternoon on a weekday as it is not so busy. The only bad thing about this place is a lot of people don't pick up after their dogs, so it's best to step lively, particularly around the outhouses near the main parking lot.
Always enjoy the dog park
Our dog actually heals (stays close to us) more off the leash here than on the leash at other places. Mind you he is only seven pounds!
Much dogs. Many woofs
My dog loves it.
Very disappointed how many poor dog owners that are in Red Deer that never buddy s*** all over a public place and not picking up after their dog
Dogs can run free. A very safe place to walk
Love this place - trails to paved and non paved trails to walk - and all surrounded by water places for your pup to splash around in. Really a stunning place.
Take my pup here twice a week at least, love it!
Awesome place to take your dogs. It is beautiful! Right along the river valley with lots of spots for dogs to drink ans swim! Nice long walk with lots of dogs to meet! Everyone here is super friendly. Lots of garbage cans and poop bags here too. And a bathroom if needed.
Always fun with the dog, until a bunch of ignorant people are biking by telling us that my dog shouldn't be off leash in an off leash dog park.
Favorite place!!
Best dog park we've been to. I love the trees, river, and ponds. Careful in the ponds in the warmer months of the year; they contain blue-green algae which can be harmful to your dog.
Best place to walk your dogs in Red Deer
Beautiful year round but especally when the leaves are turning. Clean and well maintained and for the most part protected from the wind.
Beautiful park. We saw a beaver and caught a small fish.
Large outdoor facility to allow your canine family members to roam and frolic.
Lovely place. I bring my dog almost every day, it's definitely our happy place. Just have to watch for moose sometimes in the Spring and Fall.
Great paths and areas for the dogs to run. Haven't explored it all yet. Looking forward to more adventures here.
Lots of trails, trees and water for your dog to play in. There seems to be more users here than at the Oxbow park, so more dogs to play with. I had heard warnings of more agressive dogs at 3 Mile, and did indeed encounter a couple on our first trip here, where it took several trips to the Oxbows before we met the first aggressive dog there. My pup is large and well socialized so nothing came of those encounters. She really enjoyed herself at 3 Mile Bend, so we'll be going back.
Favorite place to walk my dog for sure! Plus one of only places you can meet up as a group and not wear masks....
Excellent trails and ponds for water dogs. Most dogs are well behaved.
Excellent for dog walks and swims
Got to see a family of Moose there was pretty cool to share that space with them!
Dogs love it, and so do I.
The most beautiful off leash park I've ever been to. The residents of Red Deer are very fortunate to have this park.
Beautiful Park. Great people there tonight!
Very nice place to go for a walk, big playground. Many activities from paddle boating in summer to ice skating in winter. They have a fountain, amd a cute little bridge as well.
A great place dogs love the freedom
Red deer has the best trails.. three mile bend is a favourite for myself and my furbaby. Green space and the river make for a lovely afternoon .
Always a good experience
Excellent dog park! Through trees and along the river is great! Little messy for dogs, but they really enjoy it!
Beautiful walk, great to socialize dogs.
It's a very nice park but people need to learn the speed limit around four-legged kids the drivers are so ignorant
Love it here
This was a lovely hidden gem. We just found it today... definitely plan to go back!!
Always a nice place to go
Used to be a great dog park but as of recently, most people don’t seem to have their dogs under control.
What a perfect dog park. I think every city should follow their lead! There's ponds, trails, and even river access. My dog had the opportunity to socialize with all breeds of dogs, and we didn't meat one aggressive pup in the mix. Good vibes all around!
Just incredible beauty everywhere you look.
Love walking here
Great off leash dog park with lots of walking trails, washrooms and picnic tables. Great place to take the family for an afternoon
Great place for animals, and people to come together! Lot's of trails and nice scenery
Great place to let our dog run free and socialize with other dogs!
Great place to take your dog off leash.
Great place. Only been during winter, can imagine it's beautiful in the summer.
way tòo many flies and people
Love it!!!
Beautiful walking path, lots of room for off leash dogs, a nice path to river access, and friendly people everytime.
I take my dogs here everyday. It's my favourite spot in Red Deer and a wonderful place for visitors too
Favorite place to take the pups!
Very nice place to walk an take in some fresh air
Usually a good spot to take your pups for walks, however some of the water is on/off with blue algae so be careful
Nice place to walk your ????. I haven't had any issues with aggressive dogs as I've heard and read about. My only issue is the part of the trail going along the road as I need to leash my dog around moving cars.. Unfortunately, 30km/h signs aren't idiot proof.
It's a great park to let your dog running around abd plenty if water so they can go for a swim. The only bad thing is that my dog got attack twice on the same day by other dogs. It only happens once but some people bring dogs that don't play well with others
Nice view of the river, beautiful area for a walk, perfect for anyone.
Always good friendly people walking around with there dogs. Very nice paths close to the river
A wonderful, scenic off-leash dog park, which runs along the river and includes man-made ponds. Dogs and owners are usually good and well-mannered; however, there should be a large sign indicating that aggression will not be tolerated and that a leash be on hand at all times. I have been using this park since 1996 and have only encountered 4 (not serious) incidents.
Watch where you and your pets go was there a few days ago and my dogs were attacked by wasps
If you hate dogs this place sucks. But, if you're looking to walk your dogs somewhere this place is a wonderful off leash park.
Wonderful place to go for fresh air and a walk
Nice paths to walk along.
Wonderful place to bring your dog, just makes you smile:)
Dog's have fun and me too.
Dogs love to run here
Very spread out, People there are very friendly would reccomend
My favorite park.
Great walks
Peace and serenity
A lot of dog poop everywhere. Wish there was a way to enforce people to actually pick up after their dogs.
Lovely wooded area with kms of walks and river for dogs to swim/play in the summer.
Dogs love it here.
We are so unfortunate to have such a beautiful place to take the dogs for a walk. My dog absolutely loves it there.
Awesome clean trails. Doggy poop bags at several locations throught and accompanied by garbage bins. A very nice escape from the concrete jungle that is Red Deer. We saw a great number of song birds and waterfoul.
Beautiful trails. And view.
Great place to go for a walk with family and friends and pets
Best off leash dog park
Great place to walk and set your puppy free
Very nice off leash dog park.
Great place for our dog to go take walk
My favorite spot to take my dog
Good place for dogs too run
Nice park. Nice that you can walk your dogs off leash
Great paths, tons of dogs to watch run around!
Beautiful area with lots of paths to walk. The people that walk their dogs there are great people. By far my favorite place in red deer have to visit any time I am near
Doggos love this place
Go on a daily basis... River loves the friends she meets..
By far, the best off leash park I have ever been to. Beautifully maintained trails, water access and green space to run.
Just wondering can you fish there?
Awesome! Huge park, lot's of dogs. Good place for the dogs to run and swim. Please don't bring aggressive dogs!
Love this park
Busy place, parking van be limited
Well kept, by the river and a great area to go for a casual walk
Love love love the atmosphere
(Translated) Doggo, fight, parko (Original) Doggo walko parko
Great place well kept
????????????????????????
My dog got bit on the nose by a white and beige pitbull. He had a dark black ring of fur around his right eye. And he was with two other dogs , a German Sheppard and some other dog . I told the owner he/she should be muzzled when in an off leash park if it is an unpredictable dog (among other choice words) and the owner responded by saying that he is deaf and that's why his dog bit mine. So clearly he was retarted just like his dog. Not the first time this has happened at this park
Best place in red deer to walk your dog off leash if they have good recall. Wildlife- moose and beavers can be out and about so keep an eye out.
Good park
Your dog will love you for taking them there
I absolutely love it down here, so peaceful
It's beautiful! If you like dogs and the river, you'll have a great time.
Dog Disneyworld.....
Excellent place to relax by yourself or with your pet friend. The river is a nice retreat from the concrete jungle.
I love walking my dogs there. They love the nature atmosphere there as much as I do. Im thankful for the trees for windbreak and shade and the water to cool the furballs down in. Too bad that not all humans pick up after their dogs though.
Lots of people there today making the most of the lovely weather, however, people flying around on bicycles was dangerous with so many dogs running around
A beautiful park. With a very friendly environment.
Has trees and paths. With the occasional rock and pond. Good place to walk, if that's what you're into.
Loved the paths and the manicured lawns.
Walked with my sister in law from Moose Jaw she enjoyed seeing the Eagles.
Best off leash park in the city! Our dog loves the river parts as well as the wooded trails...and of course all the friendly people and dogs along the way.
I can't believe this place is still around. It's such a nice area you would think it would have been torn down for other development. The trails are nice and paved and they supply poop bags which is nice
Excellent time walking dogs .Clean up was done and it was nice and hot out.
I liked the first two miles, but I think they phoned in a lot of the third. Actuall review, it's a great park. Nicely shaded and sheltered from the wind in most places.
Lov to take my dog here
Beautiful place to socialize for you and your dog.
Great dog park! Bathrooms are nasty.
We love this place we always take a trail to get to the river kids have fun
Went for the fishing, and it was not very good river and pond. Dog park looks good if you have a dog!!
Great place for my dog to run wild, while I can enjoy the nature.
The best dog park
