I LOVE this park!! It's probably the nicest park in Prince George, if you ask me! Even though it's fairly central, you feel completely secluded from town! As if you went on a tiny vacation for a few hours! Highly recommended packing a picnic and lots of drinks! Stay a while! It's worth it!

A great system of trails (for on-leash walking,) as well as an open field for dogs to run off-leash on. The field is located in the flat part of a natural bowl, so be prepared to have to walk back up a decent sized hill if you access the field. Wildlife such as bears have been spotted here from time to time, so do come prepared!

Walk the dog, walk, bike, run, fly a kite, have a picnic, geocache, climb a tree, explore...this is a great park. Take advantage of the numerous winding trails to go for a brisk afternoon walk, or to go for a shaded jog. Lots of people come here to walk, run and walk their dogs - you'll see at least half a dozen people, if not more, on a nice sunny afternoon in the trails. There is a park map at the trail head off North Nechacko road, however, there are a multplicity of access points (via 1st Avenue, Wade Street, Dornbierer Crescent, etc., etc.). In the winter this is an ok place to snowshoe, too (if you're new to this sport, take your time on the steeper routes) - but bring a flashlight or headlamp as it gets dark early up here in the winter and there are no trail lights.

A large and amazing park that's been kept in good shape despite being centered in the city. Great for walks/ hikes, and it's dog friendly! However, beware of the animals. I've personally seen black bears and moose wandering the areas a little too close for comfort.

Nice place to go for a walk with a person or dog. I would suggest not going alone if you are a female or small male unless you went armed with pepper spray...homeless people hide in bushes and some other sketchy scary people.

Absolutely fantastic off-leash facility with lots of space for active dogs. Would've rated it perfect except there is no water, so if it's a hot day, remember to bring lots for yourself and your dog.
