Excellent trails in Prince George. Very scenic, with a variety of trails to increase or decrease difficulty based on ability. Also 2 lookouts to view the lake and the mountains, a wide variety of trees and foliage. Picnic tables and covered areas for picnics, and lots of information signs for education.

Great interconnected trails that have left me amazed at how versatile it can be. Get away for a half hour of meditative exercise or get lost on a bike and connect to Otway or the University trails. Signage is for the most part great and consistent. Always something new and fun everytime. The trails around the lake (which is stocked with trout) are especially recommended great for an easy walk for the elderly or for people with less mobility.

Beautiful place to walk. There are firepits, benches, picnic tables, shelters, and toilets littered throughout the park. At the moment the lake is frozen and it's a wonderful winter wonderland. 10/10 would recommend for all ages.

The best part are the side trails down outside of the university. Forest for the world's is mostly a hike in an old pine block around a lake. There is a fair bit of kms around. Its used in the winter for ice fishing but the water doesn't look super clean in the sping so I don't think I'd eat those fish. Lovely in winter though!

One of Prince George's many great hiking trails. The drive-up is a little bit rocky but once you're there the scenery and trails are definitely worth it. Please remember to keep your dogs on leashes and clean up after them and yourself!

This is a wonderful place that close to town. Very beautiful pond for some fishing, great and well maintained trails for biking and hiking. Amazing area to go relax and enjoy nature. Lots of wildlife to find and see.

Easy access to Shane Lake, and a nice little firepit with wood provided! However, in the winter, the walk can be a bit dangerous for some, and it is chronically littered with dog poop.

Great marked paths for walking. Some of the past it lead off to the upper lookout for instance are not as well used. I also noticed bear tracks. And suggest you bring beer spray in a air horn.

I love nature, and this is the perfect place for any skill of hiking/biking/ outdoor activities. They have many different paths and length of paths that people can hike on. Lots of wild life sobe prepared but its also amazing to witness Prince George in an amazing way!

One of the best places to walk in Prince George. A great network of trails and a beautiful lake you can fish in as well. The park is very well maintained and clean and that's also because people are respectable when they are there. I've been walking and fishing here in Winter and in summer and the trails are maintained year-round. If you're travelling to Prince George this would be a great place to spend an afternoon.

Tons of trails, you could spend hours there. Even in the winter it wasn't a bad hike. Lots of gradient changes though so during wet times it would be a good idea to bring good shoes

What a great place to go, it really brings the community together, has a big trail system that goes year round. It has Shane lake and a lookout point, two covered picnic areas, two big docks to fish on and firewood but only one fire pit. It is stocked with rainbow trout so bring you fishing pole or go for a hike or bring your horse

Beautiful, lush greeneries, near to the city of Prince George, the forest offers a soothing, refreshing feeling, skirmishes of birds, welcomes nature lovers, providing better environment of meditation; somebody are found passing time with birds, feeding them - a rare sight I have ever seen.

Forests for the world is a great park for family events with a public firepit and nice lakes. Informative self guided tour signs instruct visitors on the history and information pertinent to species of trees present in the park. The only downside is the fact that the maps in the park area are the second worse maps in the entire Prince George area. The only park maps that are worse are at the fort George canyon hike. The maps contain no you are here mark and no landmark identifiers to find out where you are in reference to your destination, and it is easy to become lost and accidentally end up back at the parking lot.

Could not enjoy because we forgot bug spray! Spent exactly 2.5 minutes here and my son got 16 mosquito bites! I'm sure it's a beautiful place but we couldn't wait to leave! Bring bug spray or stay home!
