This Park belongs to the category of Park.
I went there many times, and each are quite different. Even it was snowing, I enjoyed my walk, and the carvings there always surprise me.
Very nice park

Beautiful place! Dont forget to use instant repellent specially if visiting in evening hours!
Almost come daily from Spring to late fall and do an evening walk around.
Literally a park not sure what you want here, free entry and lovely to explore. Especially on a cool autumn day.
We love coming for a walk here. The trails are all ages friendly
Lots of nature, lots of trailed. Really awesome place for someone who likes sitting by the river and look at 100 year old tress and understand the environment. Do check out the rail museum next door.
Nice trails good view of river
Great cycling, walking and running trails with spectacular scenery of two rivers. Boat launch is popular too.
When you can't walk the trails due to flooding it's time to break out the kayaks!

Nice to see a Beautiful spot so close to the City of Prince George. Nice Parking area with Blacktop for parking and mowed lawns amongst the Bush with flowers and Trees.
Situated right at juncture of the Nechako and Fraser Rivers. This park is a great spot for a nature walk with informative signage, easy access and surrounded by the beautiful majestic cottonwood poplar trees.
Beautiful day for a wander.
Nice trails to go biking or running. Very recommended.
One of my favorite places to take a stroll. River views. Carvings in the trees. It's really a great place for families. Lots of parking.
Really nice park. Enjoyed the walk and the scenery. Carving in the trees.
I have gone here for years and it never gets old. Trails are looked after. Good for dog walking or just an after work stroll. My favorite time to go is when the rivers are low and you can walk on the sandbars.
Nice and quiet. Sound of River next to it is also calm. Once there I understood why they call it "cottonwood". :-)
Beautiful area, we are going to definitely explore this area.
Awesome place to held with feeling close to nature
a great place to walk, my dog especially loves it! You can often see birds and other small wildlife and its right by the river!
It was nice but there were alot of mosquitoes there

Beautiful relaxing. Grab a bench and enjoy the Serenity of the river or the park.
Awesome trails and beautiful facilities.
A quiet and peaceful reginal park, very easy access from the town center! It is an amazing Park to make a day visit, even in winter!
Great little park. Trees are massive
You should take pictures here. It looks like a dream this time of the year, with the low river. Bring a horn though! Bears like the taste of human.
Good trails for a good walk along the river
It's a very beautiful place to walk, child friendly hike but, I wish dog owners picked after their pets.
Such a beautiful park! This is a lovely place for a walk. Make sure to bring bird seed and hold it out in your hands, birds will land right in your palm! It’s a bit muddy in the spring, but still fun in all seasons. Look for the carvings in the trees!
Beautiful trails to be enjoyed here. I reccomend bringing a bag of bird feed with you...the chickadees here will eat directly out of your hand!
Another one of Prince George's lovely walking trails. There's always lots of people here in the summertime. Is it dog friendly please so it makes sense that so popular. Make sure you wear bug spray as it's close to the river and the …
Treasure of a park when it's not flooded in May :) highly recommend going there for a walk and see some beautiful scenery.
A great place for a walk. There are some intriguing wood carvings to be found in the trunks of some of the trees.
Cute park and nice river scenery
Nice maintained trails to enjoy a walk
#MMIW #JusticeforJessica Find some ACTION with Awareness All my relations
A great place to walk and if you play Pokémon many spinners and gym's to collect from.
Lovely park, wish more of the bridges from past floods would be replaced so more trails are usable
Quite good, beautiful trail along the river. Only thing better would have been a few more toilets along the trail, or at least here.
Beautiful and peaceful, Be weary about Bears in the area "as per the warning signs".
The trails wind around the Fraser River and through the trees to the old train bridge. There are benches located along the way and you'll see carvings in the trees that are done by an artist no one ever sees. It's very dog friendly. The squirrels and birds eat out of your hand which is amazing to see. So family oriented as well.
Beautiful nature and unique carving in the trees
Very nice great place to go and watch ppl and their dogs play.
Beautiful place to walk or ride love it in the fall
Great city park, lots of water and the Railway Museum on site.
Nice walking trails.
The mosquitoes are ridiculous right now... you WILL be bombarded and harassed... even with bug spray on. ????
"Elmar", an artist has carved here umpteen great little works of art into the partly huge poplars, one more beautiful than the other
One of the best locations for an easy walk in Prince George.
I absolutely love this park. Friendly people on the trails. Beautiful nature all around you.
Wonderful hiking area..gorgeous carvings throughout
Beautiful trail with a scenic view and nicely packed trail, ice cleats needed in the winter because of flooding, large parts of the trail are ice.
Great place to go enjoy a walk.
Well designed park with groomed trails that connect two park in downtown Prince George.
Good place to stroll with friends, dogs, kids or by yourself. Long pathway starts from by Cameron street bridge and winds it's way down all the way to the 1st Avenue bridge. You have the option of following it even farther as well as it is …
Perfect for a morning walk
Very petty. Wish there werent tents getting popped up in there.
Very beautiful and quiet area for a nice walk.
Great place for a long walk with the dog.
This is an interesting park. There are many beautiful tree carvings here. Walking here is a kind of enjoyment.
Great walking trails, and bird's will eat right out of your hand!
Nice place for daily walk
Area is a local treasure
Great but it was flooded
A great place to go for a walk easy family trails, pet friendly, a reasonable amount of nature
There are two trail systems in the park, one for the island and one that runs along the river and exits the park. To access the island, take one of the bridges. It can be buggy at times but this is one of the most beautiful parks in Prince …
Nice walking trails.people stop and say hello..many medicines/teas grew there.
Nice but needs some updates
Nice walking trails within city limits even during winter
Beautiful place for a walk and summer swim.
Beautiful park, great trails, well-maintained with river access and views.
Lots of paths, river access, interesting carvings
Beautiful Sunday walk with family.
Not much of a view from parking lot if you want to car picnic.
Good place to run or walk. There are usually other folks on the trails. The tree bark art is unique. Good place to go talk with your significant other. The trails can be a bit rundown and the river eats away at the bank edge but it is still worth exploring.
Cottonwood park is a real gem of Prince George. Wonderfully maintained trails that are wheelchair accessible and a beautiful view of the river. Keep your eyes peeled for the many carvings all throughout the park. I seem to find a new (to me) carving every time I’m there.
Gem of a trail on the river In Prince George. Check the large trees along the trail for local artist carvings.
Amazing place for walks especially during spring when ducks come back but it needs more matinence to clean up all the animal poo and branches/ mud on trails
Lots of Pokemon Go Lures however no Pokemon!!! Kiwanis park is better for that. Park is nice tho paths are bad in the rain.
Awesome place to hold birds and see ducks carving on trees
Fantastic walking park. Year round when possible.
Beautiful trails and scenery. Just watch out for the mosquitoes, they can be viscous here
It was very pleasant to visit. I would totally recommend going there, I walked my dogs and it is really just a nice way to get outside for a little bit. If you want to go for a non demanding walk, this is the best place to go.
I have always enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the riverside trails. There is a local artist who has truly enhanced the view by carving figures of native art, castles dragons and other beautifully designed items into the thick cottonwood bark. You round a corner and spot yet another masterpiece framed by nature. A rare treat.
Beautiful scenery easy walking trails nice view of the river
Beautiful area with gorgeous trees and a lovely path
Went to the Christmas light drive through. They did a great job
Great nature area. Just needs a bit more gravel on paths and hopefully a couple more walking bridges rebuilt. Really good carvings in trees unfortunately someone has vandalized a few of them.
Beautiful forest walk with river beds.
Nice place for a walk.
It's a park! It has trails you can walk on, not sure what else you want to know
Lots of trails to enjoy!
Great carvings on trees
Such a great place. I grew up here and its the dirst time I actually walked i the area!
Beautiful walk near the river and a great place for dogs and kids to enjoy nature.
It was a very nice nature walk.
Saw 2 Bald Eagles with Grankids today. Awesome.
Lovely park. A nice long walk if you take the entire thing and you can use this park to loop up through the bridge to LC Gunn and back down, although that does take you though a scuffed area of town it is an enjoyable little hike that will take about an hour to 2 hours
When you walk through this park, it's hard to believe that it was once an area that was inhabited by houses and a small community of people. It was known as the Island Cache and well populated until the spring came when the floods came. …
An amazing walk through the woods!! I love looking for new carving every time we go down there
The carvings in the trees make this place magical.
Best place to walk in the city! Close by, but you're right in nature, as soon as your out of your car! The chickadees here will eat off of your hand!
Flooded but still beautiful ????
Favorite quick place to go for a few photos and lovely nature walk
Great Place to Hike and not Hard at all
Great place to go for a walk
Beautiful park! Loved walking along the trail and the bridge. Saw many squirrels along the way. Definitely worth the visit.
Seasonal disruptions. Brave the mosquitoes and high water of you are brave enough. The walk along the river was better than the tree cover in the park.
Awesome park, great trails all season long. Lots of wildlife, friendly people, lots of dogs, and great hidden carvings on various trees!
Gorgeous area. Was fortunate enough to come during a Lheidli drumming group gathering. Was truly beautiful
Beautiful and easy to walk trails
Beautiful walking area right next to the downtown core
Great place for a stroll or jogging along the river.
A great park for a walk, whether solo, in tandem or with the family. Paved trails (mostly) throughout - but they can be bumpy so if you've got a stroller, wheelchair or scooter, keep your heads up for some uneven parts. The mosquitoes can get bad in the summer so don't forget the bug juice. If you're a runner this is an awesome start and end point for a run. Run loops in the park or run West to the bridge and back. Lots of nice lookout points and bencehs scatered throughout. If you're into Geocaching there's a couple caches here for you. If you're into Pokemon Go...well...I can't help you...just don't fall into the river. During the winter pay close atention, parking lots and trails can get icey - bring cleats or snowshoes. Beautiful winter views; don't forget to make a snow angel!
A wonderful park! Lovely, easy to walk paths. I love the carvings in the bark of the cottonwood trees! Loads of fun trying to find the next one. Lots of areas to sit and enjoy the river and scenic views.
Really nice place to walk. Lots of big trees, and there are faces carved into some of the trees. Just amazing
It is a nice walking place to go
Beautiful scenery! Love going for walks here!
Great walk. enjoyed seeing the carvings in the trees and wildlife.
A wonderfully serene place with amazing scenery and hidden treasures on some of the trees. A nice area to see wild ducks and other wildlife, including bald eagles with Eaglets in the summertime. Beware the bears and watch out for dog poop!
One of my favorite places to go to think, do work, and photograph. Has a nice trail system that loops around, and see all the wonderful tree carvings scattered through out
Easily accessible trails both within the forest and along the riverside. Leashed dog friendly, my dog loves it (: close to majority of parts of the city. Beautiful scenery for photographers and nature lovers.
Amazing park
We had an amazing experience here today with all kinds of forest critters coming to us for a visit. Beautiful park, nice and clean. Just wish people would clean up after their dogs.
Such a pretty walk and the tree carvings by Elmer are wonderful.
Great little walk. The tree carvings are a beautiful surprise to look for ????
With beautiful and amazing views this park not only offers the natural scenic beauty but also is a great place to relax and observe and connect with nature. I love going to this place for a short walk or just for biking. Also check out the beautiful tree art .
Very pretty.
One of the best parks in PG. River side trails to explore, always wild life to see, painted rocks to find, carvings in the trees to find and chickadees that will eat from your hand. My family has spent countless hours sitting by the river playing in the dirt and exploring the river bed during low season.
Nice clean beautiful walk through the trails
Great park love the tree carvings
It was nice by nature but becouse flood lots of plants follen in the the middle of road bikers or who have bay with stroller is hard to walk. Other wise its is good naturw walk in this pandemic.
Great place to go for a stroll with the family. Nice and flat so it is easy and quick.
Beautiful park with lots of tall beautiful cottonwood trees. I got to meet the gentleman who does all the wood carvings in the trees. His name is Elmer and he is a very talented man.
Really friendly guy named garry awesome guy
Beautiful wide trails, carvings in the trees add an extra bit of fun to the park. Informative signboards explain the importance of the cottonwood trees. Dogs allowed on leash.
Beautiful river; tall trees.
The nature park was closed. On the trail the pet owners left their dog feces on the pathway. I wish people with pets would clean up after them. It's disgusting.
Peaceful, quiet and beautiful for walking all year long.
Parking lot is full of holes BUT, it's a beautiful, scenic park. Easy to forget that you're right in downtown
Nice walk
Very nice place to walk
Very pretty and we'll maintained paths. Sadly very close to the Mills so the pollution is pretty bad depending on time of day and wind direction
Incredible place for fall photos with Crystal Adele Photography
Is a nice park to walk and find the tree carving.
Super Nice! Lots of Carvings in the Cottonwoods I've found maybe 15.
Beautiful trails. Pay attention to the trees, tons of awesome carvings!

Great walking trail. People are courteous for the most part here.
Went fishing . Catching white fish ;)
Beautiful park with huge trail system and alot to see .with the look and hike
Even on my recent rainy day walk at cottonwood, I still discovered a new carving on one of the tree's. Great place for a walk in the rain, or a nice sunny day.
A nice park, very popular for dog walking. It's also a very good birding spot! There are lots of scattered tree carvings.
Beautiful. Many trails close to he river. A great lunch break getaway
It's that time of year when everything is moist and the birds are full of life. Good for a casual stroll there is also neat well done carvings along the path in trees if you have a keen eye
Such a neat walk through the woods. Easy for everyone. No hills or anything like that.
Some of the trail system has been washed away by the river.
Great walking trails
Its very beautiful with all the fall colors. Great walk
Absolutely amazing walking park

Beautiful spot for a walk!
Family walk
One of the best trail
A nice walk with possible bald Eagle and beaver sightings.
I enjoy walking here with the family. The river view is quite nice and calm. Most people that you come across here are very polite and nice, I don't think I've ever had an issue walking here. In the summer we usually walk here once a week.
Nice place to walk
It's a beautiful place to go for a lovely walk to commune with nature
It is very nice there got to see a big black bear there today
Nice!
Amazing park. Lots to discover here. Look at the trees for some neat wood carvings.
Such beautiful trails. Breath taking views.
Great walking path .
Nice place to go for a walk
A beautiful place to go for a walk. The animals are very friendly and will let you snap a picture right next to them. Lots of bunnies, squirrels, birds and beautiful wood carvings in some of the trees. Keep an eye out for rocks painted with positive messages and super heroes as well as a geocache or two.
Beautiful park and lots of cool things to see
I loved the carvings in the very large Cottonwood trees. They are very well done.
It was a quiet and peaceful walk, there are several different carvings in the trees while walking through it, only downside is mosquitos as I got about 5 to 10 or so bites so bring bugspray or wear long sleeves
Excellent place for a walk and a coffee
It was calming place to walk and the carvings were amazing
Really nice park nice walk along the Nechako River and Fraser River junction ! Really cool carvings in the trees !! I will definitely be telling people about it !
Great place to walk
They have some really neat carvings.
Very nice relaxing walk. Pretty surroundings and well kept.
Beautiful park. Good trails and active wildlife for viewing. Usually quiet and not very busy.
So relaxing and peaceful. :)
Cottonwood is a beautiful park to spend your day. It is in the middle of Prince George however it is natural enough that you don't have to drive far for some serene and beautiful park. They have some beautiful wooden bridges that connects to a small island in the middle of river.
