Small friendly beach. To the left of the beach you have a lighthouse, red rocks on the right of the beach. Behind the beach the estuary of the river is really impressive. It's a nice, clean, relatively traffic-free white sand beach. There are, however, 0 picnic tables, infrastructure for showers that are apparently always out of commission, and it's pretty out of the way. Someone might tell you to go clamming here; don't. You won't find any, at least in September. Great if you want to kill an hour but most definitely not worth the detour. You'll get sand everywhere and there is a lot of algae at one end. Northumberland to the south is way better. Going to the top of the lighthouse will run you $5 which ends up being an overpriced gift shop trap. Don't go past the lighthouse as it's all private.

Great stretch of beach. Warm water for PEI and the season. There was a fair bit of seaweed on the beach but don't let that stop you from enjoying the beach. There is an official entry to the beach with a lifeguard when you first enter the park. This is next to the beach side grill restaurant. Other unofficial entry points can be found along the main road. Just look for where all the cars are parked on the road side.

If visiting the lighthouse, Beware of cranky neighbours who seem to really dislike visitors. Outside of that, beautiful place with many nice views. Lovely any time in the summer, there is a small restaurant near the causeway over to the island.

5 minute walk to the beach from the campgrounds and beautiful woods to go walking in. There was campfire wood onsite which was very helpful and a small park for the kids. Great place to take the family.

(Translated) Worst provincial campsite in PEI. The unserviced sites are small, open plan, without privacy and not the slightest view of the water. There is no beach on the campsite itself. We took cold showers because the washing machines were working. Dryers do not dry out; I had to put in double the time for each load. In short, this campsite needs a lot of work before it deserves their $ 41 per night. (Original) Pire camping provincial à l'IPE. Les sites sans service sont petits, à aire ouverte, sans intimité et pas la moindre vue sur l'eau. Il n'y a pas de plage à même le camping. On a pris des douches froides car les machines à laver fonctionnaient. Les sécheuses ne sèchent pas; j'ai dû mettre double de temps pour chaque brassée. Bref, ce camping a besoin de gros travaux avant de mériter leur 41$ par nuit.

The park is great, for your information if you want a nice spot, take site 28 you'll be in the end with no neighborh. The only issue with this one, the bathroom are horrible, I mean I am not someone which needs a lot from a bathroom but I wouldn't put my feet in that shower. Even if they clean it this bathroom need to be remade ASAP. In resume, nice sport but schedule to take shower the day before and after your stay there. Happy camping.

Lovely sandy beach with clear water. Uncrowded and easy parking. There is a great canteen with tables and chairs on a deck. There is also a lookout tower which offers a view of the beach. There is ample free parking near by to the walkways to the beach. Public washrooms are also available.

Amazing beach on the ocean side and a nice walkable beach on the bay side. Campsites are grassy with trees surrounding the campground. Ideal for campers with trailers or RV's although less good for tent campers who want to hang a tarp.

Its a secluded provincal park on the north eastern edge of PEI. There is a parking area which has washrooms amd a small restaurant serving some food in case you really need anything to eat. Good things first. The beaches are really secluded amd empty. So you will have plenty of time strolling on the sandy beaches with no second person in sight for hours. Secondly you can actually sit at this beach coz this is a real sand beach unlike some others that are red mud beaches. There is a lighthouse on extreme end if you care to visit. The beach is calm and water is less chaotic than other places.

Beautiful park with 2 Sandy beaches to choose from. The one on the causeway is long with sand dunes but boy oh boy is the water cold and we went early August when it should be warm. There is a charming little restaurant next to the sand dunes. A bit on the expensive side but fun and good food. There are lots of spots for camping at the park as it really is far east PEI and didn't attract the huge tourist crowds that Stanhope and Cavendish did. There are some sites to visit like a lighthouse and such. Well worth a day trip or an overnight stay. The staff at The park were extremely friendly and will even give you a shovel and bucket to dig up fresh clams to cook on your bbq. So great.

Beautiful view of the surrounding ocean. There is an area to sit and have a picnic. Small fee to go into the lighthouse, but worth it for the view from the top.

If the beach is crowded around the snack bar, park along the road further up the sandbar and walk over the hill.

The only positive thing about this campground is the helpful staff and its close to the beach. Otherwise it is just a patch of grass which they call a provincial park. There is nothing to do, no hiking, no bike paths , no activities, and the sites are extremely small. Not sure how this place gets good ratings because it is not worth the drive. Very disappointed.

While I understand not many people want to pay to go to the beach, I think it was worth it. We hiked to this beautiful path to reach a beach that was virtually empty with a gorgeous view of sand dunes and open ocean.

Very bad personnel , I reserved 2 days beford on internet when i arrived there it took 45 minutes to find me and i had already pays ! It was crazy .and when i reserved on the phone it was like speaking to a child of 5 years old!

For an old lighthouse you basically get what you expect ... And old lighthouse! Nice little shop and artifacts on the entry level. The climb up was fine. The top level was really steep. Not sure it was worth the admission $.

A really nice beach with great views and lots of space. We had a really nice swim and a good walk. Very cool that you can choose between the Oceanside and the protected Bay. A must-visit if you are on the east side of the island.
