Great park but people need to clean up after their dogs

Only a few benches and very little shade for the bigger dogs, but plenty of room to run and very little mud. Owners seem to clean up after their dogs pretty well here too. I did however have a pretty horrible experience here. Some older man brought his large aggressive dog here and it tried to attack my dog. He noticed the conflict and didn't at all try to help the situation, just watched from afar. Had to push the aggressive dog away from my own just to get out. Once I left the aggressive dog had once again started to pick fights with more dogs in the park. Would not come here again with other people around. Many owners can't be trusted to keep their animals under control. I've even noticed people bringing small dogs into the large dog enclosure and vice versa. Nice park but many owners cannot be trusted.

A bit small, but nicely located along the canal which has a pretty trail, pups leached tho on the trail. Often many dogs around after work hours, 3-7pm. I find the biggest dog park is Port Colborne but not as many visitors there.

Clean space for the dogs to run around. Seems well maintained. Just be careful if you go along the trail that runs by it. I encountered a snake and a hypodermic needle near the water.

It is nice place for your Dog and you too, but I find the bing snek there , it was sleping by the Weland singn, My Camera it was lobate that way I have no Picture to sho it . Be more care for at that place

The park itself is a fair size and always maintained. Section for small dogs and section for large dogs. Awesome water fountain and location. Some benches, sitting areas and historical monuments for decoration. My biggest disappointment is nearly every dog I've come accross there is extremely dog aggressive to my very friendly and passive dog. Therefore I don't go because I don't feel safe.

Nice size with two areas for small and large dogs. Water is available but could use more shade trees. Have met great people with their pets. Timing is everything as during work hours it is lonely. Always a nice breeze by the canal.

It is ok. A little plain. I hear Niagara falls has hills and trees and trails. The Welland one is plain as can be. My friend from Welland takes his dog to Niagara falls. And that is how I learned about Nfalls park.

It's a bit far and other owners should really pick up after there pets, so that everyone can fully enjoy the dog park

It's not to bad but wish there was more shade for the bigger dogs. They have no protection from the sun and having a black dog who is full of energy she loves to run around but has no where to rest in the shade. The small dog area has lots of shade I think its time to think about the big dogs.

Good place around welland. They just did some upgrades to the park, added trees and benches. It's still small though. Port Colborne is much bigger and nicer in my opinion.

It's a large enough park for dogs to run. It needs some love with the lawn maintenance. It's too bad that some owners don't pick up after their dogs.

The Welland dog park is okay. It's a little small, and doesn't have a lot of trees around it to block high winds.

It amazes me how many people do not pick up after their dogs. This is a dog park not dog dump ground.

the fences arent fully to the ground so my dog snuck under and got almost got loose!! thankfully i caught her before she went under the second gate.. if you have a small dog make sure you guard the door because they can just slide under it and in so parts of the park they can slide under too.. also park isnt that big fire mans park in niagara falls is much larger and safer!! (for reference i have a teacup chihuahua she is 3lbs) will not be returning here

Decent parking, well kept, and nice seating just outside of the enclosure. My doggo made a friend, so I'd say he'd give it a 5 out of 5 paws up and would recommend to a friend ????

This dog park is clean and friendly. Most who bring there furry friends are very respectfully and take responsibility for there dog ensuring everyone gets along well. Only complaint is now that spring is here the water has yet to be turned on. Which is a problem with my large dog.

Great location. It is right beside the canal so there's a long path to go for a walk if you don't feel like using the park.

Dead grass, no water, no shelter, uneven ground. Hasn't been taken care of in years. I drive to Fonthill everyday from Welland to use their dog park since it's larger, cleaner and well maintained.

It's nice there is a fenced in area for dogs to run around. The area is grass and soft dirt so it's bot too tough on their little paws. It's a good place for them to burn some energy and run around.

Not a sufficient water supply for a big dog park. St Catharines has a water source inside the park. There's a couple holes dug up by dogs the cause a trip hazard

No shade for the dogs, and all the grass is dead again this year. Not maintained at all, but it is nice to have a dog park somewhere in the city. Hopefully they'll start taking care of it so it appeals to more people.

ZERO- clearly designer forgot * a tree inside fence = shade * garbage can!! That get emptied * maybe a old culvert so dogs can play.... * WATER!!!!!!!

Big area for dogs to play. 2 areas, 1 for big dogs and 1 for small dogs. Down side is there is NO shelter for people to hide from the wind! Expecially in the winter!!!
