I find it difficult to review a park but I will give it a shot. Its a park! There are trees and a playground for the kids. I took my friend's dog here to play fetch once. He enjoys it. Some random kids enjoyed throwing his snobbery ball too - and the splash pad was good for washing their hands after. Four stars!

One of the more peaceful parks in Peterborough if you can believe it. Even though it offers a playground, splash pad, Rugby Club, and Concert Venue you can still find peace in the big mature trees this park has. My favorite park hands down!

Park's been mostly as it is for years, Rugby/soccer Feild at center, rugby club's building on the edge, normal jungle gym, swings, (baby seats too). Used to have a wading pool, replaced a couple years ago for a splash pad. Usually runs any decent weekend and peak hours of the weekday but there is really no schedule to it. Also a covered community function pavilion on the far side with picnic tables, power outlets, also public restrooms near the far side, open 10-7 of I'm not mistaken, basically peak daytime hours.

Great park located in the east end of Peterborough. This park is also the home of the Peterborough rugby club. The park boastes a splash pad and palygrpund equipment for kids. This park also has a very nice covered gazebo for big family events be sure to check with the city for booking details and regulations for large functions. Park is located adjacent to river and bike trails. Pleanty of parking.

It was great to picnic under the covered area. Even though the day was really hot, being covered kept the heat down. The floor needs to be power washed.

The nice thing about this park is that it is suitable for kids of various ages. The smaller equipment will be fun for toddlers and the larger equipment will for kids older than toddler. The splash pad doesn't look like much, but it's got a nice variety of things that kids seem to enjoy. There's also a nice paved surface for walking and running, as well as bathrooms.

Beautiful park with very beautiful trees. We are here for the folk festival which is amazing. Great free music in a very beautiful environment. Lots of parking here as well. Had no problem to park even though the park is super busy because of the festival.

We love this park - it's nice and big for running around, but there are also two separate play structures, so it's great for COVID-times. There's also lots of swings, and a splash pad for the summer, and a basketball court too. We've never used it, but there's a picnic shelter as well. But no picnic tables. ????

Great family park with good playgrounds and a wonderful splash pad with some trees for shade. Check out the Pagans rugby schedule and catch a game while visiting. The clubhouse is a gem of a building.

Great family-friendly park for a picnic, assuming you have a blanket. Kids had fun running up and down the hill. No facilities available when we visited because of COVID-19 precautions so can't comment on those... But the washroom building itself looked pretty nice with a modern architecture style that complements the natural space. Everyone we encountered was friendly and enjoying the space in their own way without impinging on anyone else's enjoyment, which is how it should be.

Nicholl's Oval has a open field good for sports and pets. There are multiple outdoor playgrounds, a splash pad and a paved road circling the park. The area does have a few hills. The restrooms aren't open in the winter. There is also a rugby building in the northeast corner that is not publicy accessible.

Multiple playgrounds, swings and a splashpad. Large picnic facility and updated washrooms. There is a concert hill that goes to the bike trail that connects to the Trans Canada Trail, that makes it easy to travel to and from the park without a vehicle. There is a great, large field for rugby, stands and a parking lot as well that put distance between the kids and the road.

This park deserves 5 stars on it's own, especially with the updates in recent years - but I could never recommend walking here if you don't like random dogs charging right at you while their owners uselessly yell their names. I walk in this park with my leashed dog almost every day, and at least 3 times a week, this happens to us. There must be about a dozen signs around the park reminding everyone that dogs must be leashed, but the majority seem to think it doesn't apply to them because their dog is a good dog, a nice dog, and doesnt need a leash. I don't appreciate your dog charging at me. My dog, who has been attacked twice by off leash dogs, is extremely scared when this happens, and it sets us back months of rehabilitation training every time it does. There's an off leash park by Beavermead, stop acting like Nicholls Oval is a good place for that.

Nichols Ovol is one of our long time Parks in Peterborough, where Rugby is played, there is a splash pad for kids, there is a little picnic there every yr, just a great spot in east city.

Good park for a music festival. It has a natural amphitheatre and lots of cool shade courtesy of some beautiful mature trees. It's easy to get to via a walking/cycling path that hugs it's perimeter.

My uncle suggested we come to this place for lunch. It's a fish and chip restaurant. They serve halibut fish and it is always good. The food was okay and the prices are reasonable. It was just missing a little bit of Maritime charm for my liking.
