You will see all the feddbacks of real people like you who are purchasing the products and services of Strathcona Park (Park) in the territory close to Ottawa (Canada).
To this day this firm gets a rating of 4.7 out of 5 and the score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is basically the highest, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we can be quite sure that the rating is very faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Park is included in the category of Park.
This is such a hidden gem! Its usually not too busy and there is TONS of wildlife. I like to sit and just watch everything thats going on. Especially the super friendly ducks! But dont feed them! They need to leave in the winter and won't if you do!
Excellent park in Ottawa. Plenty of trees and shade to relax in the summer.
Love it beautiful fall colors and it's clean place safe for family ???? and great place to walk ????♂️ and enjoy the outdoors.
Beautiful area for picnics family gatherings. , Studying . Located on the Rideau River with a walking bridge across the river to the Rideau athletic club.
A beautiful clean park along the river with a variety of entertainment. An excellent spot for small children .
Great place for meeting your friends and family, close to the water.
Love the place
Lovely little park on embassy row. There is a parking lot and limited parking on the street. Great for a stroll or just sit and enjoy the view.
Nice quiet place, sometimes traffic incurs, wonderful fountain, splash pool opens from 11:30 to 18:00, park with play structure, great for bike around with famjam, dogs are more than welcome, has water fountain high enough you can fill a rather long bottle :) enjoy! Side note: at the end of the park there's a stairwell that leads to where plays of all sorts happen, come support your fellow ottawa artists! Nice bike trail that leads to the rideau falls at Sussex St. on the other side of the park
Nice place to rest
Beautiful park overlooking the water, good for kids and joggers
Beautiful park along side quite a few embassies.
Very good park for family picnic. I never knew you can go so close to river.
Beautiful Place and Art in Strathcona Park Saturday August 8, 2020. It is a fundraising and public awareness event sponsored by the Mental Illness Caregivers Association (MICA). Completely volunteer-driven organization. All proceeds from the event go to MICA community-based programs, including the Friendship Support Group, a mental health support group servicing the Ottawa community since 1987.
Its just a few quick words about it,only the fact is there barely anything to do there cause it has a ballpark a small play area for kids from thirteen to five or four.its one big open area ĺike a field with less then four trees throughout the hole area,a walking path on the outer area that has a little stream running along the path and to give u the public a heads up that u might end up seeing people doing things in public like drinking, smoking,or even normal people doing on what a park r used 4. Thanks for reading my thoughts of what seen and experienced.thank u again.
Very nice park to walk dogs in or just go for a walk with a loved one
Gorgeous spots along the Rideau river! Bikes are going by fast ????
Wonderful park, though not perfect, it is a great spot to sit down by the water, go for a run or stroll.
It is a nice to take the kids to play and let loose. Lots of birds and the river keeps you in touch with nature. Great view both ways from the bridge
Great urban park. Space to play, beautiful trees for ample shade and gorgeous views of the Rideau River.
A gorgeous park by the river to relax.
It's a great place to take your dog for a walk and the play with other dogs and to play fetch with your dog or dogs
Lovely park many benches and free parking
One of the best parks in the entire city, very elongated lots of grass and trees playground and pool for summertime all on the water with amazing views. Not usually crowded and animal friendly. Great place 24/7 lots of lighting at night and very safe. In Sandy Hill so not far from Rideau st or UofO. New bridge development is a great touch since you can now walk to the other side of the river. If you're looking for an intimate place to sit and chat or play sports there's space for you.
Nice place to stroll around enjoying river views.
A lovely local park on the Rideau River adjacent to Riverain Park by way of walking bridge. Expansive views of the river on either side of the bridge. There are parking lots on either side and it's a great spot to bring the family! Riverain Park has a fenced in dog park, but dogs are allowed leashed in the rest of the park.
gfdf
Beautiful park. Full of families and others playing and enjoying family time. Even youth choir practice on nice evenings.
We didn't realize there was a no dogs allowed sign. (We say it on our way out.) Lots of other people had their dogs. Not sure if it's enforced or not. The sign had it stated a $120 fine. Otherwise a nice park by the water.
Quiet, picturesque park.
Clean park for the most part, except in the north end where there are syringes. Stay South of the stone stairs and you should be ok.
I used to go for walks long time ago but my visit today amazed me because of the new attractions
Very nice park, went there for Caribbean Fete fit class with Tara very much worth the drive.
Peaceful spot for an evening walk :)
Great park with nice atmosphere. There are cool ruins and a playground. It's pet/animal friendly. Always lots of wildlife and people. There's a local outdoor cat that hangs out, and lots of space to run around and play soccer/frisbee. Picnic benches to hangout on and a little sidewalk that goes pretty far down the river for runners.
Lots of places to chill, sit, do activities, shady areas sunny areas grass, wooden stage, concrete, playground, what more would you want from a park
Beautiful park. Perfect for a run or a bike ride.
Great place to picnic. In the river that flows past it you can walk across to the other side, it only gets about 3ft deep during summer. Be careful water can be fast at times. The park structure is made up of old Mason works from around the city Arches. Pillars. And Flagstones of old buildings. Very cool that someone had the vision to Buy. Transport. Store for year's and year's. Then build a play structure out of these materials. Turn over some flat stones while in the water. Chances are you will find some trilobite fossils. Little creatures that resemble horseshoe crabs. Can you see them in the pictures?
A sand hill favorite. Good for laying on the grass and get a tan, for jogging along the river. During summer, there's a play or some music concerts every now and then. During winter, some people ski on the hill.
There's one duck here, think his name is Darren, real bad apple. Stay away from this dude, he'll steal your sandwich. Other than that, nice place.
I have never much ventured into Strathcona Park but it’s very enjoyable when I do ☺️ It has ample space and benches to laze about and take in the views. The river adds to the charm and of course those crazy geese and ducks are there to entertain you. ????????
Strathcona Park is a beautiful public park where people go to walk their dogs, have birthday parties for their kids, take a scenic path for their morning run, and stretch out on the grass underneath the trees to daydream, write and sleep. Kids climb excitedly over the “ruins” installed for them, push each other on the swings and in the summertime splash each other in a shallow wading pool. There’s a stage area which people exercise on, sing on and practice dance routines on when it’s not being used to host Shakespeare plays. Up at the top of the hill is a large fountain. The benches near there are popular because they overlook the beautiful greenery of the park and make you feel tucked away under a leafy canopy. The sound of the water provides soothing white noise. This park is my favourite place in Ottawa. There are so many interesting visitors and it’s an excellent place to people watch. It’s also where I go to get away from people too, because when you’re lying down on the grass looking up at the trees, it’s easy to forget the stresses of life.
Great place. There's a hidden spot by the main trail that you have to visit.
Beautiful day! Geese all around and canal is melting!
Beautiful park by the river. Has lots of green space with large trees, a playground, and a wading pool.
Great park for kids of all ages. Wading pool is only open certain times in the summer so be sure to check, but you can play the time away if you're there too early. Bonus super cool pedestrian bridge nearby!
Nice. Beautiful squirrels. Wish the lawn was taken care of. Also great spot for Pokemon Go.
Love this beautiful location in the middle of the city. Great loop for a walk and gorgeous space
Very beautiful natural scenery. A nice place to take a contemplative walk or relaxing walk with a dear one. It is difficult to find parking, though.
Quite a gem of a place for a nice family outing. The trail accessible via footbridge also makes this an idesl place to start a city bike tour.
I loved this park since we moved to Ottawa in 2000. I have seen my children grew up and now I will my grandchildren coming to this park too. And with the new bridge connecting Rideau st. With Range st. It is the most beautiful experience. I really love my city!
Nice place for a walk even in the evenings.
A chill clean place to relax, play sports, bbq whatever ur heart desires...there's also a splash pad here for kids in the summer and a small theater stage for summer theatre Free parking
Having only been a few times, this park seems like the gen of Ottawa. Fantastic location, lots of life and peo enjoying themselves and no real negatives. The theatre under the stars production preforms here annually and only adds to the charming value of the space.
Just refreshing, close to everything (dowtown, 417 Highway) yet large enough I feel outside the city. A great park to cross for commuters!
What a cool place!
Nice to have a little park downtown with free parking. Washrooms never seem to be open.
Nice resting place
Beautiful place to visit throughout the day, but it was a beautiful view late in the evening. Looks like a good picnic spot.
Great views from the bridge. Very scenic! Enjoy watching the ducks!
Nice big calm park. Nice for walks, a picnic and all if it. The location is perfect and is really inviting. It's by the rides river so it has an okay view... Great place for a walk really. Watch out for the goose and goose poop though! There's lots of it. That's my only complaint for the area. There's a wading pool that the kids love to play in and is watched and surpurvised by attendants, so is safe too.
beautiful park beside the river. lots of open space, clusters of lightly wooded areas (perfect for running around and evidently quite favored by slack liners). Mondays in the summer feature outdoor performances by "A Company of Fools" - this year's production is Twelfth Night and it's definitely worth seeing!
One of the best parks in Ottawa, very special
This park is a favourite of mine. So happy it happens to be in my neighbourhood. Lots of outdoor space, multiple pathways, ample benches to sit on, always a breeze from the water, and there aren’t usually a bunch of cyclists buzzing through, so it’s safe. I’m a cyclist, I just don’t think bikes and people sauntering mix well.
One of the most beautiful and historic parks in the city, especially when the Shakespeare in the Park troupe are putting on their plays in the heart of the summer. Just a wonderful place to picnic with a friend or read a book under an old tree. ????
Great park, good for a walk or a nice place to sit and read a book on a nice day. The Odyssey Theatre under the stars that they have in the summer is always a lot of fun.
First time being here, so just went around for a stroll with friends. Plenty of space for social distancing.
Best park ever!!! My found my heart there and lost it....
Always a great choice for a lazy Sunday with lots of green space, a good mixture of sun and shade, and trees for setting up slack-lines or hammocks. The play structure looks fun and there is access to multiple bike routes, including the network of paved paths on both sides of the river and the bike lanes in the downtown core.
Nice place to breathe, to enjoy nature!
Beautiful park in the heart of Sandy Hill
10\10 would go again very beautiful....I love you Kayla Dempsey
Wonderful place for a group picnic.
Breathtaking view, nice picnic spot, beautiful fall coloured trees, there are people enjoying the park but it is quiet and peaceful
Beautiful piece of nature in the middle of Ottawa. Wonderful for family, dates, picnics and walks
Great park with a plethora of free grass space and bench seating! Also lots of local critters and old trees for an enchanting time.
Love this park, love that I live closer now.
Gorgeous place for photography, relaxing, picnics and theatre in the summer.
Nice park, river view, base/softball field nearby. Overall idyllic park scene, bugs imcluded
Relaxing, neat and clean and the benches besides the river are the best place to while away and forget your troubles for a bit
Beautiful park! A lot of space and walking paths.
I have always love this park, ever since I first arrived in Ottawa, in the 1980's. Great to spend some fun time with children.
Alot of drunks and people with needles in this park and around pg grocery Express bad place to go.
Overall nice place to go for a walk. Lots of shade and benches to sit on. Only downside is there can be a lot of people there and some are not following CDC guidelines for social distancing.
The park was great, the views were scenic and everyone kinda kept to their own. 10/10 would go back and I think it was a great place to spend my Canada Day
Beautiful park on the Rideau river great place to relax
Wonderful communal space beside the river!
One of the best park in Ottawa, and easily the best park downtown. Right next to the Rideau river. This place gets really crowded is the summer. There is even a theatre show for free on the weekend that practice outside and offers some nice entertainment while relaxing outside.
Great place with amazing history!
Nice place to rejuvenate... There is one ground to play too... Soothing view just from the park and there are places available to seat...
Quiet place. Took pictures of two Common Merganser ducks, a male and a female, hunting and catching fish (perch) .
Strathcona Park harkens back to old times. I believe it's the most beautiful park in Ottawa. That fountain at the top looks really expensive, and seems European. It's clean. It's friendly. If you're looking for a good old fun and relaxing park experience, Strathcona is what you're looking for.
Great picnic spot with lush grass and mature trees as well as a nice pathway by the river with plenty of water fowl.
An excellent place for a (socially distanced) picnic! There's also a lot of space to kick around a soccer ball, a small baseball field, and a great view of the Rideau River.
Nice park for a walk. nice view also!
Nice little park by the river. Excellent place to spot some canadian geese
Small park close to the footbridge over the Rideau river. There are some nice benches to relax and enjoy the view of the river and the birds. It holds an outdoor theater in the summer. Company of Fools was playing during the summer of 2019.
Very nice place to take a tour of the river. It has parking and you can walk across bridges view sculptures or ruins. Great for wedding pictures.
One of my most favourite places in the world.
Big park and nice scenery
Lovely park by the river. Looks like it would be good fun on a sunny day for the kids or just for lounging around.
Love this park, specious, green and beautiful, sometimes even ice cream track comes over. Yummy!
Nice park near the ottawa river
This charming park has fantastic water fountain and a creative architecture play area for young and old people to free your mind of the day to day struggles we all endure. Well designed most elegant. A must see for inventive park seekers.
One of the best park in ottawa with wading pool in summer, lots of breeze during the hot days. There is also free 2hr parking for cars!
This place is just too beautiful and serene in the winter time. In the summer, it's just as nice, however it is always extremely packed with lots of kids and very noisy (which is to be expected of any reasonably nice park in Canada in the summer lol). I use the Adáwe crossing when I'm walking home from downtown and I always stop and meditate in this park before continuing. Too serene.
Family park. Great for BBQ. Beautiful views
Great park with river view, picnic tables, benches, pool, bathrooms and kids play structure
River adjacent, large beautiful trees providing abundant shade, random activities like shakespeare in the park
very pretty park I've been going here every summer since I was a kid
Great park in the middle of ottawa
Possibly Ottawa's Best Public Park! Lots of places to sit & enjoy the fresh air or the sound of the river. Play structure for the kids. Live entertainment during the Summer. Baseball diamond & Soccer field. Parking available. Public art installations. Pedestrian overpass crossing Rideau River into Vanier.
GREAT PARK. BUT, THEY NEED TO THREAT all those bugs, and excessive mosquitoes ! My children REFUSE TO SET THEIR FEET THERE AGAIN. They were almost eaten alive by those mosquitoes... So, to speak...
On my opinion, this is the best park of Ottawa in the downtown region. Amazing view, plenty of room to play ball, benches to sit and read, chat, have a break... And during the four seasons it is a great place to visit.
More police and city workers to clean it
Good parc for picnics , dog walking or just to rest
This park has something for everyone
It's a really peaceful park to have lunch during the week!
Great park, awesome views.
Nice, riverside park with beautiful walking bridge. It's a gem in the summertime.
A very nice spot to relax in this hot Summer!
Great park to visit in Ottawa Ontario
Right along the Rideau River the Strathcona part is one of the most beautiful parks in Ottawa. It has wonderful bike pads and scenic views. There is a theatre and plenty of space to have a picnic.
Many summer fall and spring studying sessions here. In the winter the hill is big enough for sledding down.
Everything a park needs is right here. You won't be upset
Lovely park, 4 stars because the bathrooms are out of a horror film.
Beautiful park in Sandy Hill. The bridge over the Rideau river boasts a pretty view in both directions. Definitely recommend for a nice evening stroll
I really like this park! Great place for picnics or summer afternoon walk. The view on the river is beautiful.
Nice enjoying
Great place to have a picnic or to spend quality time in nature with friends, family or just by yourself
A hidden gem not far from Sandy Hills and core downtown area. A lovely spot to sit on grass or provided benches and watch the water fowl swim and feed in the river.
Theater by the river. What a wonderful idea. This park has it all for every interest in your family or circle of friends. Baseball diamonds find their way on one side of the park with a wide walkway of parkland filling the rest. A great pathway along the retaining wall separating the Rideau River from the park. There are quite a lot of geese that do appreciate the park a bit more then the humans.
We had alot of fun there. It was great for our picnic.
Great park to walk and kept clean.
This park is so beautiful, I love visiting it, wish I did more these past months. Excited to see what it looks like come winter!
Beautiful open park in downtown Ottawa along Rideau River.
Lots of off leash dogs and owner's that blatantly ignore the DOLA, not a safe place to walk if you have a reactive dog.
Historic park nice scenery well used packed down paths. Snow cleared walking-bikeing, paths. central yet not busy.
A former shooting Range Strathcona is one of the finest city run parks and the Adawe bridge is a vital east-west cycling/walking link connecting Somerset E to Donald St.
The place was awesome. Neat and clean. Quiet. Good pathway for normal people as well as for cyclists.
Beautiful park. Home of Odyssey Theatre, multiple Shakespeare in the Park productions, and the annual Ottawa International Animation Festival picnic. Worth getting a pass to the Festival just to witness art school students carve pumpkins!
I love this place ... close to Ottawa downtown, Has a sight to the river , large green space, fantastic to spend some fun time with the family and friends. Also, great place to run , walk, and bike. The only caveat is the parking, there is only about 12 spots ! Enjoy !
Nice walk past the canal
Great park with plenty of space, an area for BBQs, and a Baseball diamond. The primary drawback is the lack of basketball and soccer nets.
Great park to hangout and toss a frisbee. Right by the river so you get a nice cool breeze as well as bugs
Beautiful park at sandy hill area! Lovely places to sit by the water and enjoy a great book or even for family picnic
Nice little park by Ottawa River. Out of the way and quiet.
Quiet and beautiful park by the tidal part of the Rideau River. There's a little play area for kids also a perfect place for a nice picnic with family and friends.
Nice view and a good place for walking
This park has limited parking. It runs along Range Road where many Embassies or Residences are located. There are many walkways that cross the park and one that runs along the river. Quiet and pleasant. Perfet to stay with the family.
Nice park to take a walk along the river!!
Large, spacious, fun and replete with things to do and explore. The wide Rideau borders this picturesque park that is a very short drive from the downtown core. There's a "folly" to clamber and explore which also hosts, pre Covid, Shakespeare in the Park nights. Wading pool, swings, trees, and wonderful green and leafy vistas round out this idyllic gem in Ottawa's center.
Didn't realize there are balanced sculptures here, like the ones at Remic Rapids
Nice for birding and wading in the river
Beautiful park! A really nice view of the Rideau river, usually accompanied by ducks and geese! Lots of grass area with scattered benches and picnic benches
Beautiful, great place to spend some time in the right weather for great therapeutic effects. Being outdoors is great for you and this park is no exception.
Great local hang out spot.
So peaceful, need more parking . But the 2 hour free parking is great!!
Beautiful park, lovely paths all through it. Great for picnics, napping or just getting away to nature.
It is well located and the is a lot of seating area's. The park is well maintained also the new crossing bridge makes it accessible to more people without the need of public transportation and car.
Beautiful park. Shameful that they have locked their bathrooms to the public. Clearly not too worried about visitors' comfort
Great place to visit
Been coming here for years. Great spot to walk across the river (take the bridge or wade across the shallows on a hot day) Despite being heavily indicated to not be a dog park plenty of people tend to ignore those rules, so be on the lookout for dog poop
Nice park. Can be a bit crowded at times but it has a small but nice playground and a splash pool. The park is right next to the Ridue river wich is very nice.
Beautiful park with a river path and plenty of Greenery.
No dogs allowed. Even on a leash. Bummer. Otherwise really nice. But a walk without my dogs is no walk....
Nice park to spend an afternoon, the view is insane!
Many benches and tables beautiful view, lots of space.
Love this place! Wide open spaces, plenty of picnic tables, and pet-friendly
Nice park. Quiet. Along the river. Needs Public washrooms.
It feels like your out camping I love how clean the water is and that you can walk across the river when its low
Would be 5 starts if it wasn't for the light pollution.
wonderful playground and a beautiful park in a perfect setting.
Huge park with lots of green space to meet up with friends.
I'm there several times a week, whether walking Skyler, out for a walk to chill or to sit and read by the river. On a beautiful sunny day, a very joyful lively place with so many families, groups, kids... Enjoy the sun, live music, nature, dog walks, frisbee days... And so much more. On a warm evening: Shakespeare in the Park!
It is always so nice to see large green spaces in the city, and this one is beautiful. The fountain is great to sit by, and there is even a playground for kids to have fun in! I recommend bringing a picnic as there are many tables facing the river.
Lovely location. Easy to get to by bike or walking. Always people playing sports, hanging out, or walking through
Beautiful open area to explore. The sounds of the river nearby are great!
It's a very beautiful and peaceful place. I wish I could take my dog :(
Well beleive it not i created this planets best love story ever between myself Stephen the architect and Donata the love of my life a tennis champion when i designed the bridge between her tennis club and my park
Very spacious and lovely park. We had a family picnic here with other families and it was a great outing. Rideau river runs by the park where kids can feed some swans/ducks.
A beautiful park to spend the day at, lots of stuff for kids to play with. Only downside is no washrooms or water fountains.
Nice park. Especially like the large fountain at the top of the step hill. Nice bride across the river as well.
Absolutely beautiful park and gorgeous bridge crossing the river. A wonderful place to go in the summer with the family to swim or for theater in the park. Stunning trees and landscape ❤
One of my favorite parks in Ottawa so far... I love it. :)
Great place to hang out but dogs are technically not allowed there. This is sad. Doggos make the world go round.
It's a park with a nice waterfront and bridge, as well as bathrooms, nice place
Very Nice park, always a positive vibe..!
I used to bike around. It's a very wide and nice park to meet family and friends
Brings you to the parking lot near the foot bridge across the Rideau river
I only use this as a dog walking trail. It's part of the Heritage Trail in Prince George. About 30 km of trails.
What a beautiful park! Lots of shade, grass & trees along a calm section of the Rideau River with a beautiful footbridge. Great spot to relax.
It's always a pleasure to go through there and sit there and feed the fat squirrels
Very beautiful pack. I had my engagement pictures done here in fall ????. Pictures were awesome.
I just love it .. its in the heart of the downtown but feels u r so far
Best park in Ottawa
Very nice park for any age range
Walked over the bridge a few times from Rideau Sports Facility on Donald. It was lovely to see lots of people out and about walking, running and cycling. Lots of trees and benches along the river. Listening to the ducks quacking along, it was peaceful; and yes, people kept a safe distance feom each other and masks were flipped on when safe distances couldn't be managed. No fuss, no muss, just simple enjoyment and respect for nature and each other.
Beautiful park, clean, paths along and across the water. Plenty of benches to stop and enjoy the view. A few playgrounds for children to play at along the route. Excellent for walking/running/cycling/etc.
Odessy Theater Under the Stars has outdoor plays in the summer. What a great place to watch a play outside on a beautiful summer evening.
Free parking and beautiful setting but no dogs allowed (though there were plenty there). Don't hate on the pups!
Nice park... Unfortunately, so many dog dumps all over the place. Almost as much as you'd find on the Quebec side. Overall, great view. Too many shirtless chuds playing touch football. Also, I saw a couple getting hot and heavy on a bench. Possible handy action. Anyways... Thanks for listening. Xo
Nice park by the Rideau river, some parking available. Play area for the kids and small pool to cool off in the summer.
Beautiful park to take a moment of relax. Surrounded by embassies and with a great view of the river.
A lovely good sized walking park with enough engagement here and there to accomodate everyone on the walk
Vanier side, full garbage cans, no night time lighting, dirty and full of drunks... Sandy Hill side (Embassy Central) night lights, clean, plenty of organized activities... It's like apartheid
Great place to do anything. Velo bikes are always there. Smoke a blunt by the water, go for a romp in the bushes, watch live theater in the summer.
Nice Park! Really nice view in fall!!
A beautiful park and a fun place to hold a picnic. There are plenty of places for children to play. The river is beautiful to walk along.
A relaxing and beautiful park with a river view. Nice setting tables for picnic. Very clean park.
Love this park with it's proximity to the river and lovely foundation. The ruins likes play structure makes a great setting for photographers
Fantastic park with a wonderful history (you can find historic photos online). Probably my favourite in town. The new bridge gives you a great vantage point of the river all year round.
Beautiful family park. Great space to kick a ball around, bike, play baseball on the diamond, stroll by the river, picnic, watch the geese and ducks and their young ones, or simply people watch. Beautiful mature trees and lots of lilacs. Beautiful area by the Rideau River that Ottawa residents have to enjoy.
Beautiful Park and gorgeous in the Fall, surrounded by Rideau River and Embassies
Beautiful park during any season.
Clean, fun play areas for kids!
Great places to take the family to get doors get some exercises either biking, walking on the path, both sides of the canal Beautiful water fountain top of the hill good places to take a picnic basket enjoy the scenery around you have outdoor swimming pool for the kids, sand to play in, play area
I really like this park, nice place for a picnic by the water with friends. Also good for families and social distant meet ups
Lovely park with plenty of space for everyone..there's a very nice forest trail next to the bike path...
Great park
Really beautiful , clean. Lots of room and shade!!♥️
Nice park for picknic, yoga, stroll or jog. Don't swim there it's dangerous to swim.
It is beautiful, sunny, shady, friendly to dogs. Has stone steps cut out to get down to the water, where you can walk right across to the other side while watching the water swirl down a 1-fomot level, and enjoy the ducks swimming around. It is absolutely serene and exciting at the same time. Beautiful friendly people to share it with, while watching the dogs and their owners play in the water finding rocks thrown by owners and children wishing to join in the fun.
Wasnt in the park but woke up across the street for a picturesque morning view
Great place to walk or do some tobogganing and also have aggressive strangers yell at you that it's a "NO DOG PARK". To be fair there's a few signs posted but if you miss them (it's easy to do) beware that there's a young couple on patrol looking for anyone who dares enter the park's boundary with a leashed dog. The couple's entitled tone would have you think they hammered the no dog signs into the ground themselves. Tread lightly as they likely have by-law pre-dialed on their cellphone waiting for the sound of a dogs paw in the snow/grass past the signs so they can speak to the manager. So if that's the type of park you're looking for it's a 20 out of 10. If you're looking for the experience of nice normal park you might want to try the one across the river.
Beautiful large park Excellent for kids Right on the Rideau river
Beautiful and relaxing place
Amazing place in the winter. Everyone was out building snowmen and other snow things. It was awesome.
Out of the 2 I visited in Ottawa Best one.
Beautiful spot enjoyed the scenery
Nice park, is our favorite in the neighborhood. The park should have more activities or festivals during the summer that is the only reason why I rated 4 stars.
Unfortunatelly its full of all kinds annoying bugs such as flies, wasps, spiders, etc. It would be a bad idea to do a Barbeque there cause you'll be surrounded by thousands of them. Plus, despite it's beautiful view, it's quite disgusting. There Geese poop everywhere.
Washrooms are way in the north, doesn’t seem to be indicated clearly. Nice playground! Lots of space. Neat scylpture
My neighborhood park ! A great spot to see lots of ducks in the river
This is a beautiful park by the Ottawa river. There are lots of trees, benches and piknic tables as well as a play ground and shallow wading pool. In summer there are washrooms. There is parking. We really enjoy coming here for pikniks.
Nice little park by the river. Not too crowded when we went. Theres also lots of benches and a path along the river . Views of down town Ottawa
This park is epic! They have everything! Tons of shade and benches to sesh and chill! Amazing views! I love this park and will definitely be back!
Nice park on the Rideau River. Avail with some parking close by and a pub across the bridge.
Nice peaceful park by the river. Lots of ducks and geese. Plenty of parking and easily accessible.
Great place
Good place I didn't see a washroom. There is a kiddie pool so bring kids bathing suit. We'll shaded by trees.
A beautiful site along the Rideau River. Lots of benches and picnic tables and paths for walking.
Awesome scenic park. Always clean. Many different parts to the park.
Nice quite place to walk and enjoy the views of the Rideau river
Big fan of this park. Lots of green space. Having the Rideau River nearby is a plus for fishing.
Nice place to visit in a hot day also they have playground for kids
Ok
Great park. Well lit at night. Perfect views.
Such a lovely riverside park, close to uOttawa, and connected to beautiful walking/running trails!
Great to hang out, but sometimes questionable activities going on here. Go during the day time
Absolutely Gorgeous Park. I Loved the that everywhere you look, it's green and beautiful. I will definitely be visiting it again
Nice park. You can see Toronto skyline from here
Awesome park for family and great nature atmosphere.
Loved it! Very quiet and peaceful place!
Wonderful place for a peaceful relaxing walk. There are benches if you need to rest.
Park is amazing so much to see and do there!
Beautiful local park. Some fishing for bass, pike or walleye in the Rideau River. Nice bridge over to the Vanier side, and lots of great bike paths connecting here. Good spot to play catch, kick a ball around or just people watch in the park.
Nice place and the sound of the running water is calming. Parking is limited to 2 hours only.
Pretty park along the river. Flowering trees, benches, fountains, etc. Located in the heart of the city
Its a great park to relax in the sun and usually there community festivals during the week in the the summer in winter there none.. but its very nice park at night its also beautiful seeing the stars me i lived in ottawa community housing and its a great place to meet or make new friends or a very great place to have a panic with family or friends or sitting on the edges and drink a coffee i bring mostly beer but its the cleanest park in sandyhills . Thank you and have a great outdoor time
The fake ruins are a whimsical touch. The playground is a little small but the park is an easy walking distance to Dutchies hole wading pool (south along the bike path).
Stayed in Ottawa for the weekend and had some time to kill, so we decided to check out the park. Turns out, there was a drag softball tournament going on. Never enjoyed watching softball that much!! The park itself was clean and the people were very kind!
Lovely location with mature trees that are very well taken care of. The Odyssey theatre group performs an outdoor play here every summer and the location is perfect
Took Zoey for a walk not crowded no issues distancing. Nice spot by the river.
As parks go, this one is pretty good! I was here for an art show. Once here, as a wheelchair user, I appreciated that it is relatively flat. It is very difficult to access without using, Para Transpo, though! It's far down a STEEP hill, from the closest OC Transpo stop!
Great place for kids and pets. Plenty of space for a picnic
Beautiful views and tons of space to play or just lay around. The parking is pretty small and there is no street parking, so plan to walk. Otherwise a great place to bring the family.
Great place for kids and for relaxing....
Wonderful park in Sandy Hill. One of our go to parks for sure! The kids love playing on the "ancient ruins" and the splash pad is a real bonus on those hot days. Also love the walkway along the river and the benches there to sit and just soak up the river and the sunshine.
This place is amazing used to do my jog on Saturdays with a friend, sit and watch the sunrise. There’s a nice view of the city, beautiful nature.. go and see for yourself ????.
Nice place for a walk or run. Nice paths, easy loops.
Such a wonderful place to bring kids
Came for a evening picnic. People were friendly and park was clean
Because
Clean and a beautiful walk. Great view of area.
Very clean park. Lots of benches and easy walking trail for elderly and handicap persons. Beautiful old trees and flowering bushes. Would prefer no bikes.
Nice park, Nice for kids with a small pool and city guard for safety.
Very cute park in a little neighborhood
First time i ordered biryani they called after 30 mins and told me they are out.. food not that great.
This park is located beside a nice walking bridge that connected to another park on the other side. There are bench like bank along the river side where you can sit and watch the views of river and bridge.
Always a great area to take a stroll or a bike ride.
Lovely little park during daytime hours
Nice park but not enough parking
Nice! No more angry geese-best part of my day; loved the seagulls and ducks and the greenery.
They accept new patients during Covid. Less waiting time.
Wonderful place. Great relaxing views 9f river.
Really nice park! I definitely enjoyed it.
Well, I just want to say that the houses around the park are very characteristic, which is embodied in the design and sense of age. As for the man-made monuments, it is more suitable for children to play sandpit games. However, this is a good place to play in the water. Cross the bridge from the parking lot and turn right and you will see the entrance of the river. The water is not very deep, but you need to pay attention to the smooth stones under the water
This is a park. One of the more parkier parks I've been to. The trees seem very old. There's a strange round spot in the middle. Probably good for witch ceremonies.
It's so peaceful and you get to meet amazing people and families
Great place too visit, or have fun with your family & friends. ???? Ha ha ha ????
Lovely little park between the river and a Street full of embassies.
Tried the NCC cafe in the park. The offerings are ok. The service for food slow and extremely expensive. Sausage on a bun was $9.00. Too much. The ambiance in the evening at sunset is fantastic, so I guess you pay for that. But you can have that by walking around the park and not frequenting the cafe.
Love this park. It's so beautiful. Lots of space and is such a nice view day or night
Like this park. But very often dog owners brake rules and give their dogs walk near kid's playground.
Good place to stroll. Huge area with tons of things to see.
This is a beautiful park with great paths along the Rideau river. Some sections are not well lit so it's not the best place to walk and run after dusk.
Amazing river side park. Even had a theatre play when I was there.
Great park along the Rideau River with benches and open air theatre in the summer.
Beautiful park. Peaceful and well groomed.
Beautiful park
Excellent for pokemon go.. free parking... lots of stops and gyms.
Love it, peaceful yet busy enough to get the city wibe. For kids it's perfect, has a playground and enough wild life to keep them busy
Nice walking trails, near River can Wade in shallow River, great wild bird watching and picaresque for photos ,refreshing clean water
love the view atmosphere ????
Loved it! A beautiful park along the Rideau River, and it is dog-friendly!
A slice of heaven right in the city. It's great for having rest, going for a run, or seeing one of the many outdoor shows.
One of the oldest parks in Ottawa surrounded by embassies in Sandy Hill. There's a bridge that you can bike or walk across to another park on River Rd North.Strathcona Park has alot of mature trees and has the Rideau river and a good bike/walk path. Dogs are not supposed to be allowed but I see people regularly walking their dogs. Several benches to rest and picnic tables.
Loved the ambience and natural beauty of the place. A must visit.
Beautiful park with nice bridge and balls . Nice trail in the city, nice river quiet neighborhood.
Beautiful park.
