REVIEWS OF Minto Park IN Ottawa

maxwell hughes

great little park to meet up or chill at :^)

Will Miller

Nice park in the downtown but many people are "walking" their dogs here, the grass is wet, (from the dog's ) everywhere! Stay off the grass folks!

Tony Patterson

This is a sacred space much loved by dog fanciers and by me.

Stef Wyte

Nice park and but could use a little sprucing up.

Martina Holtz

This park is just right for a little break. Sitting on a bench and enjoying the beautiful trees or just strolling through. There are no play structures there but you will see kids running and playing, enjoying the park as is. This park is also dog friendly.????

JJ Normandeau

Nice open park. Dogs allowed off leash but no fences.

Carson Wilcox

Nice little park for sitting. Not enough room to play Fútbol but great for a coffee or reading. Also has a powerful memorial remembering violence against women.

Alisha Nash

Just some green space with benches and picnic tables.

Kate Bradley

Nice quiet place to sip a coffee during a break. Benches are in need of some work.

Cameron Galbraith

Alright so this park has a great ratio of tree to space, I swear it’s 5-10 degrees cooler than the sidewalk creating its own microclimate. Lots of benches and tables, including some chess tables

Nicole Jackson

Went to Minto Park today and had a lovely time. There was live music, and I felt safe because everyone was social-distanced well and/or wearing masks. Awesome park!!

Candureactor B

Lovely urban park with picnic tables; chess tables; monuments but why is there so much concrete in this park?

Angelo

Average looking little park. It's a place where you can sit sit down and relax, or read a book.

Mx. Lucchetti

Quiet, chill and lots of doggos to watch.

Daniel Lewis

Decent green space, with some benches. No playground. Sometimes has homeless drinkers

Bryce Dymond

Quiet space to walk your dog or have a picnic in a downtown setting. Pick up lunch or a coffee at a local join on Elgin or make this a end point on your run to stretch in the sun.

Eden Bédard

Right near Starbucks, so its a great location to enjoy your beverage/snacks! There are also permanent chess tables.

Megan Berry

A great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of Elgin Street. The park does have special meaning as there is a tree dedicated to my grandfather in it.

Jaime Farfan

Great Little park on Elgin St. Lots of people take their dogs, as well as sunbathers during the summer. Always lively with people drinking canned beer or coffee on the picnic tables while studying, or simply hanging out. There is also a monument in the middle for women who have been victims of domestic abuse.

Martine Jaworski

A lovely little pocket park just off Elgin Street, enjoyed by everyone, in all seasons. Has nice shaded areas in the summer, but when the leaves fall, you can see the outline of the massive maples, through which the sun peeks through. Great place to sit and read. A rendez-vous for well-behaved canines and their owners. Sometimes there are live performances in the park.

Justin Bouchard

This is a very adult Park! Perfect for an adult event

Nicola Steeves

Nice little surprise green space on Elgin. Favourite park to go to with my little elderly pup who gets overwhelmed at the dog park

Michel Devost

Nice place to sun bathe and walk your dog.

Alyssa Ahrens

It's an off leash dog park which is great. Not fenced in, so be careful here with your reactive dog or one that has no recall. Lots of tables and benches, plus shade. There is a fair amount of bugs in the warm months but that is typical of anywhere.

Chris John

Great fun, great people!

MJ

Beautiful location. The Memorial means a lot to me, and it's unique in it's purpose. I have yet to see any other memorial dedicated towards women who are victims of violence or abuse in this city. I come here very regularly just to feel seen.

Mackenzi Drew

Nice quiet place to sit and read a book

Annabelle Pare

Cute park for a snack and chill

Claude H

Lots of construction on Elgin but still a great place for you and your friends and furry friends

CJ Lauziere

Relaxing and casual park. Popular with Dog and Squirrel lovers alike.

Fermin Quant

A nice small park to sit and relax for a bit. You can walk your dogs off leash. It has lots of places to lay down under trees and benches. If your dogs like to wander off, it might not be safe for them since it is an open park surrounded by streets.

Chris Fournier

Small but pretty park with many dog walkers, people reading, or enjoying coffee.

Richard Rehder

Beautiful park well kept quite clean, even pretty good if you go there after dark too. Also a great place for Pokemon as there's a couple of different stops there

Collins Afram

Lots of open spaces to just chill!

Jeremie Deschenes

It is a park. It has trees and benches and picnic tables. It is approximately one city block in size. It has art sculptures and a monument to women who have been murdered and or abused by men.

Bianca Martin

lovely park with options for benches, tables, and grass to sit upon. Cute trees for shade, not too crowded, and most people keep their distance and give others privacy.

Carly Cushing

Nice place to sit for the middle of the city, kind of dirty

Nikolaus Maack

Nice tables and benches, Starbucks across the street, some odd sculptures, lots of activity going on to look at.

Nice local park that seems to be off leash dog friendly (although not enclosed)

Thanh Ha

Has a tennis court and a few paths. Not bad for a small Park.

Doug Slater

Small open park on Elgin Street, nice setting to stroll through or to sit down on a bench and relax. Two memorial monuments to visit as well.

Saabiqa Chowdhury

Simple lot of green space in the middle of Elgin Street. Nice break from food or shopping and many options of seating. Nice Memorial too!

Philip Lillies

Quiet park in downtown Ottawa. Benches, people, trees, sun.

Shawn Philip Hunsdale

The best, most important community events take place here.

Billy Logan

One of my favourite inner-Ottawa parks. Not many know this, but it's also an off-leash dog park.

David Pierre Leibovitz

Nice little park with plenty of sitting places, and in the center of a busy neighborhood.

Nick Zinck

It's okay

Denis Vermeirre

Pleasant in the summer, but not very welcoming in the winter. Includes a monument to women victims of violence, first inaugurated in memory of the 14 women killed in Montreal in 1989. It includes another to South American general San Martin.

Justin Smith

Very nice

James Wagner

Lovely with lots of places to sit and read/people watch

William Laing

Very peaceful place with a few memorials

Priyanka Ramanand Pai

Peaceful. It seems like an excellent place for silent contemplation, as it was filled with shrubs and also had a few flowing plants. The neighborhood is quiet, and has pretty porches. Although I didn't spend time in the park and was simply passing by, it was definitely a pleasing area to be in.

Adolpho Kepler - Coral São João

A wonderful off-leash dog par in the heart of Ottawa, near to many restaurants (mostly dog friendly).

Dave Twolan

A beautiful and quiet park in the city's heart

kirk

A quiet city park, full of trees, plenty of space to sun bathe, with the convenience of Elgin Street a few steps away.

Pedro Xavier Alchourron

Monument to General José de San Martín, presented by the Embassy of Argentina to the city of Ottawa as token of ???????????????? friendship

Norman Ross

Cute little park has a certain peacefulness about it even though it has a certain grumpy ol man that sits in the corner with his yappy little dog.

Sally Thomas

Good park with lots of shade and places to sit. The paved path through it makes it easier for people with mobility challenges to enjoy the space too.

Pauline O'farrell

Nice little park. Benches and also a little table to play chess on!

Macbeth Span

Always a nice place to sit and eat with friends outside

Patrick Surprenant

Great off leash park for the dogs!

Dan Cloutier

It's ok. A fine spot to sit but the canal in just a few block further. That's my personal preference

Poutine Master

Great clean park small but a good walk if you go back and forth a few times nothing bad to say about this place and right in the middle of every kind of store you could imagine.

Hubert Frenette

Very nice and relaxing place. U can bring ur dog and play with him.

Ehgna 31

Calm and relaxing. Great place to hang out with my dog and have a leisurely coffee.

Norman de Bellefeuille

This is a cool relaxing park just off of Elgin. There's lots of shaded benches and local cafes to enjoy a coffee while lounging in the park.

Alexandru Dobrescu

Great park with benches and tables
