This Park is classified in the category of City park.
Easy walk and great views.
Park is clean and city staff is always on patrol to ensure safety and cleanliness of the patrons and park. Huge space to enjoy nature with a great, up-close view of the lake.
Spacious park. Lots to explore.
The beach is nice.
Nice place for a walk, not much else.
Beautiful park, beach and playground for children. Don't like they fenced the walking path to the beach
Beautiful setting, lush green park by lake Ontario. They have washroom facilities, sitting arrangements and plenty of parking spots. BBQ is not allowed in the park. There is a nice playing area for children. Highly recommended for families.
I go to the park for walks each day and paint there with a group of other artists Thursday mornings.
Beautiful park!!
Love this park... enough parking spots, clean and well maintained.
Surfing in December!?!. Upgrades to the park are coming. Missing: a coffee shop.
Great area Swimming picnic playground food and a place to have a acholic drink Everything you need
This is one of the decently maintained public space. The beach is clean, grass, trees, parking and everything else is regularly maintained. It even has a way for wheelchair accessible beach space. Something you dony see other cities ha e adopted to yet. I would definately visit this place with or without kids, restrained pets, elders and physically challenged members.
A beautiful well maintained park setting by the water. Beaches, a lighthouse, a walking trail, boardwalk, kids playground and small splash pad area.
Lovely area for a picnic, but the place could use somw better sanitation.
Beach is clean has plenty of free parking. Large picnic areas for families. Kids play ground, paved walkway along the lake with park benches along the way.
The city does a pretty good job of keeping the park clean and well groomed. There could be a few more benches around, as they go quickly on weekends, when most people would be using the park. Also, there are very few recycling stations, and they're scattered randomly around the park, but not necessarily in the same place all the time. Most parks have a recycling station next to every trash station. Other than these small issues, it's a great place to take the family, walk the dog, or just enjoy the lakefront views.
Nice and wonderful place for family picnic and nice walk or running or cycling
Upgraded play area for kids.
Beautiful and peaceful... but too crowded I felt
Ample parking space, open park with lots of space to enjoy with family. For Covid beach was closed. Washrooms were open and clean. I loved the plsce
Even with the construction it is so peaceful. I love being down by the lake
sometimes smells like sewage, sometimes doesn't. overall clean, quiet and lots of walking space.
There are baseball grounds and enough parking area... Beautiful place to visit with family and Group
Beautiful place. BBQ is not allowed. Close to lake. Sufficient parking space
Amazing ambience and relaxing place. Great for the whole family.
Employees need to be train on customer service at hot dog stand.
Beatiful day to meet up with my friends!!
Nice place with kids play activity and water splash. Also picnic area swiming and boat area aswell. No parking fees
A reasonably nice well-maintained park. The Parks staff work their butts off. But the city that manages it needs to have their head shaken. There are no hours posted ANYWHERE but if you go after dark even just to walk your dog be prepared to have a conversation with bylaw and/or "security". I really can't tell you how revolted I am by the way the city manages this place.
This is a little gem hidden in Oshawa. Beautiful park with lovely trails beside the lake. The beach area is nice too.
This park is stunning, and massive. There are multiple large fields for kids and sports, base ball diamonds, events, a museum, jungle gym area, lake view, and so much more. It is a bit hard to distinguish where to go if you're trying to reach a specific area, they have maps at every major parking lot so that helps, but i found limited signage while driving. Definetly would reccomend visiting.
Nice place. However, flies will irritate your stay ????... Very annoying!
I went during the winter so I didn't stay long but it's a good place to take a walk and hang out.
The park is beautiful, very well kept. There is a nice water front path, which is why I go.
The park is beautiful, it was a lovely walk, and there was a lot of benches to sit at. Would definitely come back again. And probably will.
Great for full day picnicking, lots to do for entire family...
Very pleasant. Nice view of the lake.
It was a great day by the lake in Oshawa today. It was a bit cold by the lake there is morning
Beautiful park by the Lake. Love walking around here.
Beautiful and quite park, everyone respecting social distancing rules. Beach area is closed.
Lovely park, especially in evenings. Enjoy the sand beach or take a stroll along seabed!
Fabulous Park! Loved it! Our puppy enjoyed it too!!
It has 2 baseball fields close together with a parking lot between them... it has washrooms on site also between the 2 fields.. The park is well maintained. It has a concession stand on site. There is shade behind the fields. I was there for a baseball tournament and my family enjoyed it.
Great place with huge playgrounds and long walkways. The scenic view of the lake and the beach add to the beauty.
Lovely place to take a walk, spend time with nature or meet with friends. Good for kids as they have swings and places to run about. The main playground is undergoing renovation. The washrooms are open. The mood here is always lively with groups playing music, families having a picnic and kids playing around. The Oshawa beach is just a stone's throw.
Beautiful open spaced park close to the water with plenty of sit down spots. Clean and quiet, nice paths and bike trails only a few steps from the water
Pretty good playground although its starting to look a bit run down. One splash feature. Lots of picnic benches and trees for shade. Gets very busy.
Lovely park, nice path, lots of benches facing the water, nice playground equipment with a splash pad
Always clean. Beautiful Scenery and Wildlife ????????????????????????
Museum and park along the lake provide a great entertainment for families. Good for picnics or just a stroll.
Lovely and well maintained park. Stunning during the fall season.
Good parking. Great splash pad and playground for the kids. Close walk to the beach area
Nice lakeside area with loads of sports facilities, beaches, walking trails and museum.
Parks beautiful, but a little damp because of the rain. But still we take the dog for a run every couple days. When the weather's nicer we will be down more often. But Ruby had a blast running the feild.
Enjoyed the trail very much. The playground is going to be phenomenal.
Great place to run and the beach is a beautiful view of Lake Ontario, rain or shine!
Well laid out and peaceful next to Lake Ontario
Cool and nice place... Mostly its silence... Beach is not very big
Great park !!! Walkway is always clean. Massive playground for the young one's...restaurant with bar, banquet hall and clean public washrooms. Not to mention baseball diamonds and Soccer fields Gallor. Sandy beach in the summer time. Beautiful scenery in the winter
Nice lake good shade to have a picnic, washrooms could use a bit of work.
Well maintained. Have enough space so you get to spend good time with your family maintaining distance from others. Very clean.
Excellent grounds for a walk, or to sit down and look at the water. Very well maintained. Good job by the city of Oshawa!
Easy parking in a large spatious parking lot (not having to worry about someone "dinging" your car), a stone's throw away from. Not busy, given Covid-19 restrictions. Great place to enjoy a sunrise or sunset.
Beautiful Park, with a stunning view and a small white sand beach. Lot of trees, benches and tables for picnics. A really nice playground with a fountain for kids to play in the hot weather.
Nice area but would not want to be here in summer, I can assume it gets packed. Nice walking trail by a large green space. I hope with GM closing shop in area, that local municipality does not let it get run down.
Fantastic park. The city has done a wonderful job preserving this park so it can be enjoyed by young and old.
Constantly Cleaned by staff
It has got a beautiful beach; very soft sand for kids to enjoy
Such a beautiful waterfront park to go for a quiet place to read a book and listen to the waves or a place to picnic and play on the beach. I love this place
Worth the drive for a quiet stroll. Not very crowded during weekdays.
Beautiful park. Great place to spend time with the family out doors
It was fun but beach is all blocked
A beautiful, huge park. There are lots of benches along the way facing the lake; would be lovely just to sit and enjoy the beauty. Picnic tables are there, too! Abunbant parking. It was a bit chilly today due to the lake effect, so couldn' explore much. Looking forward to going there in spring/summer!
Nice quiet, clean park with great view of the lake and decent beach.
Another great park, has lots of picnic areas, very shady and cool, has a beach for swimming, lots of parking and just great atmosphere.
The wives were pretty, but its very short side walk, and a lot of small black flies, have to were face mask, otherwise they went right in your mouth
Nice park beside the lake, at this moment beach is closed and many plastic orange around the area
Massive land area to use. Tonnes of parking and a pavilion. Usually busy with cyclists and runners etc... But overall a great place for family or waterfront strolls. Just try to ignore the smell of the lake.
Been going here for years with my family, great beach, they have a nice splash pad up the hill for the kids, an eatery as well, further up the hill a small bluffs where you can park and watch the water. Its beautiful.
Loved this place! very spacious, lots of spots in the shade and the view is amazing.
What a marvelous place! It's currently undergoing upgrades to the playground area to include a splash park, but this park/beach is absolutely beautiful. It would be great if the locals cherished it and stopped tossing their damn cigarette butts all over the park and beach, but what can you expect from filthy Oshawa residents
Nice view , good picnic spot . Kids will enjoy it . Best time yo visit is summer to get the tan haha.
Beautiful, calming, relaxing
Love that this is so close to my own backyard. Long trail to walk or bike, plenty of places to sit and enjoy the water....relaxing and so worth the visit.
It has everything you need to spend the whole day. Playground, cool splash pad, beach, long picnic area, nice Lakeview. We enjoyed the day. Wanna come again.
Lots of space to keep Covid-19 safe. Playgrounds and beach closed as is the pier but the patio is open with extra space out on the grass for distancing.
Nice quiet walk with My Family over looking the lake very beautiful
Always a wonderful place to walk on a nice day, or even a dreary day. Perfect for doing Pokemon Go, walking with a friend, or just going to the park. The historical buildings are also beautiful. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Also saw many many monarch butterflies.
Attended the Oshawa Autofest this past weekend. Such a great place for a car show.
Usually quiet. Baseball diamonds and soccer fields. Great paths leasing to the beach and pier. Best fries in Durham region. Lots of parking and shade on the hits days.
Beautiful park! Great place to spend the morning having breakfast!
Beautiful large park with extended view of the lake plenty of parking and benches
Awesome parks, well maintained good views.
I haven't really been anywhere since moving to Oshawa from Pickering(there 41 years), so my best friend and I drove there from my local Timmies...beats sitting in a parking lot...lol The Oshawa Museum is there so we checked out all the buildings..(being it was closed we got the info from well versed plaques.) The beach was 10 minute walk from where we parked...I brought my little Llasa Apso..Wiley..he liked all the places to smell lol. They've got not just 1 or 2 variety of trees..they've got at least 6 that I saw..rare Maple there with a rather odd looking bark...pretty cool. The weather put a bit of a damper on our beach visit..windy and cold...but the water with churning waves hurting the shoreline more than made up for the weather. Next visit I'll think ahead and bring my phone to take pics. Overall..liked it a lot and we go whenever we can now.????
I grew up around a lake Grand Bend that's Lake Huron also Wasaga Beach which is Georgian Bay so to have the speech where I live is absolutely wonderful I don't go everyday every other day and sometimes yes I've been every day depending on the weather because it's so beautiful and winter comes too soon there's places to have picnics there's places for the kids to play they have a a park for the kids as well water sing for the children and swings and and then there's more picnic areas the place is huge there's lots of places for people to go and have picnics they played volleyball on the beach there's tournaments all the time and you need a lot of nice people down there you can also bring your dogs down and take them for a walk on the boardwalk out onto the pier you can't take them on the beach so it's really nice for everyone so check it out sometime you'll see really enjoy it
Just beautiful and peaceful
Looks great. Lots of safety in place. Parks still closed but its still a good time
beautiful views great walking area a must see
Here a couple times a year, lots of shade, nice waterfront. Good walking paths.
Nice Park with excellent parking. Several different lots. Harbour to see and plenty areas to walk or just sit and look at the lake
Ample parking alongside with walking trail and lush green. Enough seats available for resting. Several patios at lake front.
It's a great spot to go to for either a swim, to look at the ships that dock there or to go early in morning and watch the sunrise.
Calm, quiet, not too crowd and well maintained. Beach, playground, water splash and picnic spot
Nice and peaceful place. Best for get together.
This park is so nice and serene, you will forget how ghetto the rest of Oshawa is.
So nice and peaceful even though this park is literally always packed!
Very nice park. Undergoing massive construction right now.
Lots of seating, plenty of nice green grass. Very clean. Bathrooms on site, as clean as you'd expect them to be. A pretty average park. A nice place for a quick walk.
Went to check out the Carfest. It's great if you love veteran cars. Otherwise not much to do. They had some entertainment for kids but they will get bored anyhow.
The place is beautiful, with a lot of green spaces to walk and play with the kids. A nice place to make a picnic and relax, enjoying the Lakeview.
Beautiful walk in the park, located in a quiet place away from the city madness. A walk to the Lighthouse is very enriching...surrounded by water.... watching cargo ships docked many a times. Beautiful color of sky, sunset, sparkling water, picnic area. You can also walk up the Hill ( good for cardio, LOL!) and take a breathtaking view of GTA... on a clear day, you can see CN Tower! Picnic, kids playground, heritage houses, bus facility, parking, baseball ground, joggers heaven, patio restaurant...this place offer everyone something to enjoy!!!
Beautiful park by the lake . There is a small beach and plenty of parking near by. Small Eatery and restrooms were open. Lifeguard was present in summer when we went there.
Very nice park. Beach is great with lifeguards on duty. Splash pad is really cool
Clean, lots of space and relaxing. No barbecues or cooking allowed. Food can be purchased from a concession and there is patio service. Lots of parking areas throughout the park. Kids playground and splash pad. Spend an hour or a day. Perfect place for a picnic.
A little crowded nowadays but nice place for kids to enjoy
very nice place for some family and friends gatherings with lake view
Love that the beaches now open. Free swimming is always awesome. Excited that they're limiting how many people get to be on the beach so when you go it's not crowded in any way shape or form. I had a wonderful day with me in my kids. will be back
Great little getaway. Nice vibe. Enough parking. Fast food joint right by the parking. Walking paths, lots of grass and benches. Lots of dogs being walked. There is a beach for all to use. I like this place.
Amazing place My kids love it
Nice park with lake views))) Spacious playground for kids)))
Very nice, cool, but portable toilets were open, some were very disgusting. Clothes were inside the latrine slmost level with the sest.
Perfect area to cook off and swim or fishing off the pier the local food is well priced as well all around perfect spot for the family
Great park space with adequate parking, close by sporting facilities for soccer, baseball, and football. Small restaurant and pub on site called The Jude. Places for picnicking located in shaded areas and access to the beach on Lake Ontario.
Great place to walk. Staff have done an amazing job keeping it clean. Short walk along the beach, longer walk around the perimeter or even further across the road through the old marina area. Pathways are accessible. Washrooms are open.
Peaceful and clean. Also, Theodore Too was there at the time.
Beautiful Park, Clean beach area life guards.A Great family get together
Went to the lake to see the full moon reflect on the lake. It wasn't busy and we felt safe as it was patrolled by city workers.
Nice beach and swimming area. Great park for kids too. Washroom gets really dirty and smelly. Parking close to the beach is a challenge
Nice little park but there always ghetto fabulous people around. Reminds me of Toronto parks as I lived there for 30yrs. Still cool place to chill and have a beer at the restaurant.
Beautiful place to go for an evening walk or a picnic with the family
Beautiful place to walk and bring children.
Beautiful tall trees and nice view of the lake. Large size park with shaded lawn, seating and picnic areas.
It's a great spot to relax and chill. Nice family spot with Sun or shade and activities for kids.
Just a great place to get away from all the busy traffic and noise and come enjoy the relaxing waves and and other natural beauty this environment donates to our body mind and soul.
Great place, enjoyed the beach and the park.
To many people on a wknd, during covid, no masks.
Nice water front, scenery very beautiful, but the area is not very well maintained. Very sad
Beautiful day by the lake side.
It gas everything, lake, park, trail, picnic place. You will enjoy it. Personally, i usually go non rush hours, this place must be very crowded in rush hours
Awesome place to go for a walk however the city has imposed the most stupid bi-law of closing the park at 10pm which is enforced by a security company,so don't expect to be able to go down there and cool off or drink a coffee and relax anytime after
Lots of Canadian geese with a few loons on the perimeter. Lakeview park has something for everyone, but bring on spring those birds look cold.
Very nice park, well kept clean including the washroom. Lots of parking, picnic tables, big kids playground and beautiful view of Lake Ontario
Great for fishing and letting the kids play at the park!
Coming from South Africa..this place is amazing and so clean the people are all friendly..your park was a beautiful experience to take back with me..A big thank you to Oshawa municipal council.
Beautiful day at the park. Enjoyment spoiled by people not social distancing when walking. 60% complying 40% not. Saw 3 policemen at start of walking path standing close together gabbing. Didn't see them on way back about 30 min later. No enforcement. Some people had gone under the chain link fence marked "danger" to sit on beach. A family of 8 were having a picnic, including blankets spread on ground, on the deck overlooking the lake. No room for anyone else. I can only imagine what it will be like on Saturday and Sunday. What a shame.
Beautiful lake view. Lots of shade, good for picnic!
Beautiful lively beach. Adequate seating benches. Good amount for parking. Great walking trails.
Great park for a stroll and there's a restaurant with a nice patio for a cold drink afterwards.
Lovely place to enjoy the sunny weather, there's also a splash pad, playground, change rooms, bathrooms, park benches and a board walk among other things. If you want to grab a bite to eat, there is a small diner and another burger place across the beach for some food. There is also a hot dog and ice cream truck, so even if you make a spur of the moment plan to come to the beach, there's lots to do and things to eat! There are two medium-sized parking lots where you can park for free but for just 4 hours which I think is enough amount of time to enjoy the beach. Come down and have a great afternoon :)
Beach is very well maintained and park is being built!
A beautiful open space to enjoy lake Ontario with family and friends. Also swimming is possible.
Nice area, well kept, good for walks and big park for kids, decent food and frozen treat options at restaurant
Beach area for volleyball or swimming, restaurant/pub, picnic areas, food trucks, soccer fields, ball diamonds, museum, and walking paths along the water. Something for everyone!
What a great park! Lots of space. Beautiful mature shade trees. Nice views of Lake Ontario. Sand beach at one end. Good parking. A really nice park to visit. You might want to bring your own chairs.
My first visit to this park. I really enjoyed it, lots of open space for the kids to run around and still keep a close eye on them. There is a gazibo, but I am not sure if you have to reserve it for a larger crowd.
Love the spacious sandy beach. Just make sure to check water quality reports before going.
Very peaceful place to walk and sit . Love to look out over the lake...pretend it's the sea.. I'm from Scotland ...and I need that.
A very well kept, neat and family friendly park with an amazing view of Lake Ontario.
Such a pretty place. Nice playground and simple water park in the summer.
Beautiful park. Lots of space to walk, play or just hang around. Nice green area sheltered by trees for a really hot summer day. Lots of picnic tables around. There's sheltered picnic areas too. Benches close to the water along the walkway. Nice beach. Lots of parking. Food trucks, a pub and fast food outlet on site. Washroom facilities available.
Been going there since I was a kid now I take my kids there lots of room amazing views water is not the cleanest but where is clean water nowadays lol
Lots of trees, shade, food, WC, swimming, lifeguards, parking, water fountains, tables, splash pads, swings, etc.
Very well kept. Superb views.
They should have proper clean washrooms at all times! And a resteraunt open during day and evenings
The area is nice but there are a lot of unsavory types walking around. I wouldn't feel safe by myself down at the beach anymore. Also, be aware of drug paraphernalia. It's no different than any other playground in Oshawa - you have to do your due diligence and scan for visible needles and other gross things. In the summer, it really is a great play ground for the kids with the splash pad and climbing equipment.
The new park is open with splash pad! Not too crowded. Lot of people having picnics lol
Grrat place for families. A nice park for kids, picnic tables , nice area for walking, ice cream bar, and resturant with outdoor sitting.
Well maintained with grounds crews. Safe with regular police patrols. A great place to go on a day trip with family or to walk your dog. Mature trees provide lots of shade and well-manicured flower beds provide nice scents and sights.
nice place. clean, safely and good for walk
Nice place to walk around in for "Me Time" or with family/friends...usually cooler for the water if there isn't a breeze in the summer
We enjoy walking by the lake. Today we forgot that the vintage car show was on so it wasn't a good day for a casual walk. The place was packed.
Apparently a hidden secret as the place was deserted on a weekday in October. The views of Lake Ontario are awesome. Sounds of waves crashing, a nice beach, and play areas for kids, tons of trails for walkers or bikers. Also has a restaurant serving cold beer that was closed for the season.
So pretty here and new play ground will great
Not very nice compared to other parks on lake Ontario, small beach, fence along walking path really takes away from the view of the waterfront, parking is terrible, beach always looks dirty. Just not a very well thought out park
Great upgrade to the kids park!
Really peaceful place to hang out and Worthy to spend quality time with your loved ones in front of watching Crystal blue lack water.
Great beach.... Needs to do a better job with their Johnny on the Spots!
Nice place ????. Huge park. Well maintained. Everything is available for enjoyment for everyone. You can spent whole day.
This place is having very positive vibes, neat and clean and it is one of the best creations of nature's beauty????????. I use to go there twice a month.
