This Park belongs to the category of Park.
Nice beach park. There are a lot of kids play structures. Nice view of the lakes.
Your destination for endless summer fun.
I loved it. Great beach ,clean water. Washrooms. I was there on a Friday. It wasn't that busy.
It’s a beautiful park and comfortable walk to the downtown area of Orillia.
I'm from the surrounding area but I'm still required to purchase a parking pass from the town!? Just to have my lunch at the park!
A nice place for family and younge kids.
Wonderful place with spectacular views. The only problem was parking space. The only visitor parking that we found charges 50 boxes ????
Beautiful park very quiet late at night
Plenty of places to eat quietly, even though we arrived when a triathlon was finishing up. Part of Orillia waterfront, it has something for everyone.
As a photographer, I love the view here, and all the interesting things that people do there.
Beautiful park in Orillia, with lush green lawns, nice walking tracks, covered pavilion with tap water for bbq; clean restrooms. There is play area for younger kids with swings; slides etc. The park is in close proximity to coffee shops/ restaurants and a grocery store which is very convenient.
Very scenic and calm surronding- I was here for a very short duration but enjoyed every bit.
A beautiful day and a lovely weather calls for vacay. It was an impromptu decision to visit Couchiching beach park and the experience was on top of the world. Amazing atmosphere around, it's mostly a park cum beach. People kayaking, boating and enjoying in waters was a pleasant sight after a lockdown year. Getting a visitor parking might be stressful though!
Beautiful place. We have been to this park at least once a month for last 8 years. However my recent experience wasn't great. We called the park authority regarding washroom facility and parking enforcement information due to Covid-19 situation before heading out from Toronto. We were assured that there is no new regulation and we should be okay as long as we practice social distancing. After arriving there, we saw signs that parking is not free for visitors. They introduced $50 parking fee. It was unfair and we felt cheated as we called for information.
Beautiful place to go but one of the person in the tourist information is rude. The security we met is very rude too.
$50 parking????, else $80 parking tickets because I am not resident of there out side of Canada city "orillia". Location very very very nice, but have seen 30 teenagers having smoking in park.
Here weather changes quickly. As now it's drizzling.
Beautiful park, great beach. We love that there's a dock you're allowed to jump/dive off of. Definitely worth the drive to spend the day here!
Awesome place to visit..
This is a great spot right by the water with a beautiful boardwalk. You however cannot barbecue and the parking is $50. If you plan a whole day trip it would definitely be worth the cost of parking. There is a small “beach” portion where lifeguards are on site.
The town charging 50 for parking Friday to Sunday.
This is my neighborhood as I live very close to the port. I have walked the trails here for almost 15 yrs and I never get tired of this beautiful area!
It could be better. Unfortunately the "No dogs allowed" sign seems to be ignored by many dogs owners. Too bad
Lovely park. Lots of parking . Very clean and well maintained . Lots for the kids to do . Even a little train they can ride.
What a sad rip off. On weekends, the city has seen fit to charge $50.00 to people coming from out of town, just to park. What a deterrent. We aren't bringing our hard earned money into Orillia because of this. We are going elsewhere. Will spend our money on businesses in another town.
Its a great place, having everything from beach, picnic area, kids play area, boat docks, free parking and good enough trail for walking and nice views
Lmao $50 for parking irrespective of how much time you spend there! Avoid this Bernie Madoff level scam of a park.
A very nice park with a great waterfront path.
Beautiful park. Playground for kids. And beach with lifeguards.
Really nice park, clean beach.. small but great.
great board walk always lots of boat to look at and a great playground for the kids
Small spot with a great walkway along the lake. Perfect for picnics in the grass.
Great place for kids to enjoy park and beach
Nice quite beach on the week day.
A very nice park close to the city.
Great family park to enjoy swimming, boating, playgrounds, or to stroll the boardwalk.
A beautiful park with nice, well-maintained trails.
Beautiful park & waterfront. Wonderful play equipment!
This Park is okay. There isn't a lot wrong with it. But the best thing about the park is the train. No matter how old you are, you can go on this train and enjoy the ride.
Its looking bare no statue and just fence all around
Couch beach is beautiful and has quite a bit to offer. This is the one of the main park/waterfront areas in Orillia. It is easily accessible by vehicle or boat. This park is steps from the Port of Orillia where you can stay overnight in your boat, or launch it for a day trip. There is a wonderful park for kids to play complete with a rock climbing wall. There is a small swimming area with lifeguards as well as bathroom facilities and snack bar nearby. It's also a short walking distance to the downtown core where you can find great bakeries, shops and restaurants. There are lots of free parking spaces for vehicles and tailers as well as many picnoc rables and benches to use. The boardwalk along the waterfront is beautiful. This beach is great whether you bring the kids to the park and swim, or if you just want to enjoy a stroll along the boardwalk.
Great park. Always clean with lots of room for families. Beach is well maintained and the water is clean. Lots of parking (free) with boat launch.
Waterfront parking is $50 flat rate for non resident (ie., visitor) on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Otherwise, it is a great place to visit.
Fantastic park with a really well planned playground... very busy during holidays or festivals!
Small beach But parking is an absolute nightmare With parking reserved only for residents out of towners cannot find parking. If u find 1 it's 50$ !!!!!!!
The beach is great to walk along and all the new benches and chairs allow you to sit and enjoy the view
This is a fairly small beach but really good for smaller kids, the playgrounds have super soft and spongy flooring definitely a good safety feature for kids, the material they use does get a little hot in direct sun so I would definitely make sure the kids have their shoes on. When we were there was a fairly group of younger adults hanging out behind the old snack shack and they were getting a little wild even climbing the roof, I don't need to explain to my kids why someone is urinating in a plastic bottle on the roof of a building, I'm not sure if the park is patrolled that well. This did all occur after 5 or 6pm so it was later in the day I would assume if it had happened earlier lifeguards would have done something. Overall it is one of our favorite spots to walk it is well lit at night and there is lots of people around
Very nice and beautiful place for a picnic specially with your family. Beach area is small though.
great park for family. there are lifeguards at the beach, a good playground for young kids, a train (free for kids under 2), beautiful scenery.
Everyone social distanced. Nicely kept. Washrooms still closed, but not the park's fault.
Small beach. Well maintained. I'm giving it 5 stars because it is close to lots of amenities to make a family beach day a great day! A short walk from the beach for lunch or snacks at the hot food (burgers and dogs, etc) stand, a 10-minute walk to ice cream stand. Also has a canoe/kayak rental place and a fishing pier a few steps away. The marina is a short walk away too for a scenic stroll.
Beautiful beach, wonderful view but the package is crazy expensive, $50
This beach is beautiful. During this Covid 19 era, as a visitor you will be charged $50 for parking per car. Besides that awesome place .
Awesome place for kids, nice beach with lifeguards, washrooms , nice playground!!
Don’t waste your time. Drove an hour to have a small picnic at what’s advertised as free parking and they wanted $50 to spend an hour eating lunch. NFW.
Clean, easy parking picnic tables and, nearby restraints options and a great playground for kids.
This place is very nice, the water is super good , nice place for kids
Beautiful place. My kids had a lot of fun. Perfect place to spend a day with family.
Had an amazing time. Good beach, clean bathrooms, free parking and great playground.
We had so much fun here! We brought a picnic and played at the park while we were passing through town. There were things to do and play with for all ages and abilities. The park was very accessible and accommodating. We hope to go back very soon.
Now the beaches are private property, by law it can not be.
Great place for a beach walk or suntan
Nice park
Amazing park close to swimming
Don’t go there now because due to Covid Pandemia, they are charging a $50 fee for parking if you aren’t a resident.
Nice park. Nice for a swim. Watch out for under covers, the place is crawling.
Really amazing park for the whole family. Water is placid, beach is very clean, spotless washrooms and changing rooms, ample parking (free), some historic heritage involved and a perfect place for a day picnic for the entire family.
nice beach and park area - there is a snack bar - not sure of hours and life guards on duty
Park is awesome but couldn't determine if there were bathrooms available as nothing was visibly marked.
Great playground for children. Nice beach. Excellent paved running, biking rollerblading trails. Walking distance to downtown Orillia. Lots to do and experience.
Really enjoyed our family outing to the beach !
Beach water was clean. Was about to give up on going to a beach after Georgina closed all the beaches. Couchiching was so relaxing. Wide area good to play cricket or soccer
Always take a quick stop here when I am riding my bike along the trails. Amazing place for friends and family to gather
Beach is very, very small, sand is full of stones, goose & seagull poo. When we arrived there was a sign saying no swimming, swim at your own risk as water may affect your health. We decided to pack up and leave. Disappointed as we packed up to spend the day there.
Tons of benches despite the picnic tables being out of use right now. Lots of parking and no permits required at this time (we walk anyways but just a note). Well maintained and looking forward to the gardens later this spring. Excellent play structures and swings. No BBQing in the park allowed right now.
Very clean and quiet. Excellent place for rest.
Beautiful Parks with Flowers, a lot of sitting Benches, Kids Play Ground, Small Sand Beaches, Boats, and so on so forth.
They just made a new law this week that says if you’re not from town then you must pay $50 for parking ,and park in a far area while the parking lot next to the lake is empty and I could see that locals were happy with that Other neighboring towns are more friendly But the good side is, The lake is small but beautiful with nice views and bridges and very close to the nice downtown of Orillia
Visit September 2020 park is great with beach and picnic. Has 3 big parking lots almost empty but only for Orillia residents . Outsider pay $50 for parking and has limited space. If city park doing residents parking only i don't think so we are going right way. Not recommend for people outside Orillia.
Love the entire huge park and quaint small town beach. Feels safe for all. Great place for walks.
Pretty nice! Lovely place, much fun on the beach. Picnic tables. Little train is one of the attractions. Washrooms very clean. Plenty parking free. Disable access. Best park!
Great park and lots to see and do.
Small nice and quiet. Clean
Beautiful beach and park with kayaking a nice swim area and lovely gardens.
A great place for a beautiful summer picnic. The water is warm and the washrooms are well maintained. There is a play area for kids as well.
Really nice beach with a great waterfront, board walk and a multi use trail system that runs through the heart of the park! Defintely a great place to spend time with the family if you live in and or are visiting the Orillia area. I am giving 4 starts out of five though simply because this park becomes a drug trafficking area at night and there isnt alot of lighting or anything set up for individuals security. Many bad things happen down at parts of the park at night. Especially near the skate park, part of the park.
Was here for a Midway/Fair, had a good time. The place was kept clean and my son enjoyed swimming and the beach which was monitored by life guards.
A gateway Beach to Muskoka area. Beautiful , clean Beach . Quiet with lots of flowers and plants. Clean crystal clear water.
A clean, small beach in a well kept, very boring park/marina with strange local characters.
Absolutely amazing beach and park. Parking is limited so get there early. Kayaks to rent, ice cream, beach is clean, park is very well maintained, lots of picnic tables. Will definitely go back there again for sure!!!
Nice beach but kayak rentals were booked for the day and seperate parking for residents . Concessions not open so bring water and snacks.
Parking for visitors is 50 dollar flat even on weekday and for Orillia residents it's free. It feels so bad to be descriminated and looted in open. Either close it for outsiders ir make it fair when you guys are open. I travelled all this far to find this. Parked in a metro near to the beach. Water has lot of algae and Ai didn't swim. Park was well maintained and staff was friendly.
Has a casual trail for biking that I use for Pokemon Go (11 stops and a gym within 5 minutes), has a fairly large playground for children, a small skate park on the eastern end, and plenty of benches/tables to sit at while looking out over the lake.
Nice place to hang out with friends
We have a picnic here with dark sky. but still thinking the park should be a great place for BBQ or relax. Everything is good and well-equipped.
Lovely park and waterfront. Enjoyed our visit to the festival.
I really liked the park. Nice open space, great parking.. supervised swimming area, washrooms, picnic tables.. they even have a small kids railway station (which wasn't currently open).. & it wasn't very busy on a Tuesday.. they also have a nice hiking trail that connects with the park.
One of the best places to watch sunrise in Ontario
Beautiful park only 1 problem no washroom.
Beautiful park with lots of amenities. Open grassy areas with lots of picnic tables. You can bring your bbq. We brought a portable propane bbq. Wooden boardwalk, mini train and snack bar (although train and snack bar not open because of Covid) There is a nice sandy beach. Play ground for kids, but it is closed because of Covid. Change rooms and washrooms. There are 4 sinks in the women's washroom, but two are covered up to keep social distancing. People were keeping social distancing when we visited on a Thursday. Handicap parking available close to beach. Fair size parking lot, but I bet it gets full early on the weekends.
I only visited this beach once and planning on returning. This beach doesn't allow individuals to bbq or, let's say, no sort of fire hazard. There are many trees for shelter, so I would assume that you're not allowed to bring your tent. But you're allowed to bring your chairs. Other than all those restrictions, it's a fun park. Ps: for non-resident parking, it's 50 dollars. FYI: the parking areas near the beach are only for residents. So, outsiders, it's best to unload your vehicle near the beach and then go park because it's a bit of walking back to the beach area, which is ridiculous.
Wonderful, clean, lots of activities for kids in one place. Also very safe, police drive through almost every hour.
Beautiful place to share with your love one... Amazing lake view and very nice trail to walk, jogging or bike... amazing kids park and so many bench to enjoy the view...
A very nice place for a family walk
Lots of picnic tables, nice view of the lake + paved trails (beware saw a large snake on the trail)
Beautiful place with plenty of spaces for kids and adults to have fun
Parking is very costly rest everything is fine
Very pretty park. Fishing docks. Swimming is allowed Beaches
One of my fav park
I Luv the beautiful scenic area to sit near Lake and enjoy amazing fries from French's..I highly recommend picnics there ..There's also a sweet swimming spot????
Let me just say this first: I LOVE Lake Couchiching and city of Orillia!!! I am from Toronto, and I visit at least once a year. However, this business of charging people $50 for parking and $50 for boat launch is not fair. Plain and simple - It is PURE DISCRIMINATION!!! If this is public policy, all across the board, applicable to all lakes, rivers, boat launches, beaches in Ontario, I would not have liked it but then I would understand. But this is not the case. So how would citizens or Orillia like if Toronto and GTA implement fee for ALL residents of Orillia: $50 fee to visit GTA and $50 fee when leaving GTA??? And does not matter how they arrive, by car, train, plane…- just if you are from Orilia -bam $100 fee to you ! How would you like that? Actually, I think I will write to Ontario government and Mayor of Toronto to start this initiative Rating: One star because of DISCRIMINATION, otherwise 5+ stars
There is a dock that extends deep into the lake in this park, perfect spot for some shore fishing, we got three mid-sized perch in 2 hours. Will definitely visit again!
Beautiful park and charming address. Washrooms, life guard and snack bar make it great for relaxed stay.
Organised by my family when visiting Canada this year 2018. This Beach Park is not far from Toronto and is so worth visiting with family. There were roughly 28 of us who visited Couchiching Beach Park to swim in the waters, kyak, snorkel and go on private boat cruise. There is facility to do an outdoor Barbeque at the Park, which was amazing as we ate loads. Overall it was an awesome memory visiting this location and I certainly look forward to visiting again in the near future.
Clean. Well maintained. Good walking and sitting areas
Great family fun spot but beware! Huge parking issues... $100 a day and no visitor parking with 1.5 km radius... Wish they allow paid visitor parking in the resident parking lots...
great park nice place to spend the day with your family I would highly recommend it if you're looking for something to do for the day. Also the town itself is quite charming if you're looking to grab a bite to eat after I would recommend checking out mariposa's bakery
Wonderful park my father took me there all the time before passing of lung cancer just to sit and have coffee my mother ended up taking her own life there so will not be able to return but very nice park
the place looks absolutely nice but just a friendly reminder the parking fee is $50 flat rate for non-residents. I understand this policy is to discourage overcrowding and protect the locals but still feel like nature should be free to everyone to enjoy. Oh i think i’m too greedy and asking for too much…
The Park as always is a beautiful place,. Sadly the Champlain Monument is still missing. Been replaced by an ugly out of place galvanized fence. Such a shame to see so many people that just walk away and leave there garage and recyclables just laying on the lawn. I picked up 11 plastic water bottles in a very few minutes
Beautiful place with great view
Very nice Beach. I will be definitely coming back. But it does typically get crowded like every other Beach on the weekend so it's probably a better idea to come during the week
Nice place to spend your day, but I’m definitely not going to pay lots of money for parking to go back, for sure.
Very serene, clean and pretty! The beach is a bit small though but it's decent.
Awesome place to visit in summer with family and friend. The kayaking is an amazing experience.
Great place with clean washrooms. You can no longer BBQ on the beach. Parking is free for locals but others should pay $50 which is too expensive. It’s good for kids since there are playgrounds and sand beach.
Beautiful Park (as long as you visit at the right times!) During the summer months in the evenings this park tends to overcrowd with teens and delinquents, but if you visit in the day it's a completely different spot! The playgrounds are all newly installed (the past few years) and is a wonderful place to take your children for a play/swim (just mind the water signs, the water isn't always safe for swimming!)
Couch Beach is a great beach to go to with or without your children. Park and bathrooms close by.
Nice place to hangout with family and friends. No barbecue and cooking allowed in the park. Parking is very expensive for visitors.
So nice today snow on the ground and the swans were doing there thing
A great park, boat launch, kids stuff and mini train in the heart of Orillia... Stop in at the Royal Canadian Legion or Studabakers for lunch just past the Marina at the South end for lunch of dinner....
This park is a example of where the second wave of COVID will originate. There were less than 6 people with masks and very little social distancing.
Decent beach. Lots of space for families to have a picnic and kids can stay entertained at the playground.
Very beautifully organized picnic spot with all amenities.
Great park but every time there is an event, the disabled parking gets blocked off when the park is closed to vehicular traffic.
What a beautiful park. We enjoyed strolling through it over the weekend and just gazing at the water and people watching. Well-maintained and very clean and spacious. Great way to spend the day.
Fun place to enjoy the boardwalk, people watch, check out the weekend vendors, or just take a dip at the sandy beach. It can be serene or lively, it's completely up to you!
I came here to go kayaking and that's what I did it was fantastic. The kayak people serve you well, making sure that you are safe and in the right kayak for you. They also make sure that you know where you're going, giving directions on where to go for what you want to see , that you stay close to shore, and make sure that you know how to paddle. They have other options, like a kayaking thing where you're standing up and two different kinds of kayaks. The lake is beautiful and almost always calm and there is always lots of space stay away from boats. A walk in the park is always nice to do to dry off afterwards. Come to Couch. Swim, walk, paddle, bike, skateboard, scooter, boat picnic, eat at Frenchie's or the chip truck, have dessert at the ice cream shop, people watch, bring your family and friends or do it alone or with you partner or your crew. And that's just when there's no events. There's also playgrounds and washrooms.Check it out.
Great trail, well ploughed in the winter too.
Great park, was a nice place to park and enjoy the beautiful sunrise.
I come here often with my dog. It's very crowded along with every other party in the summer. It has a few nice walking trails as well as several play areas for children. There's also a little train ride.
Nice small beach & a big quiet park for the family. It is like 1.5 hour drive from Toronto. Good Experience.
Nice place to chill. Not crowded so you can have a quiet time.
A very nice and peaceful place. We went kayaking. we rented our kayaks from breath of fresh air staff were very helpful and kind. it was a good experience
hostile local people against any visitors + $50 parking fee for parks for non resident of the town.
I don't like going to this park, not enough parking and too busy for my liking. Too many hoodlums in the area, my car was broken into for some change that was in the cup holder.
The park is great. The only drawback is the horrible lack of parking during large events. Perhaps one day the city will find a resolution for this situation
Beautiful beach, playground equipment, picnic facilities...and parking
One of my favourite places on the planet.... Serenity on morning walks...
Great little beach. The water is shallow and there are picknick tables for eating and a playground for kids.
What is there not to love about our park in Orillia Ontario. Lots to do for everyone and eat at French's Stand for it has been here for a very long time and is a heritage place..
Very nice small town, water dock good for kid swimming, and fishing at the opposite side.
There is a carnival in the park. It's on the long weekend in August. Lots of fun. Don't forget to bring the BBQ and make it a full day
I watched a beautiful sunset after raining yesterday. This park has too much to mention. Mimi train, historic site, new playground, theatre with snack bar , picnic pavilion, dock, ample parking, trails, connecting with downtown, surrounded by accommodations. Lake Couchiching is a medium-sized lake. Lake Couchiching is the small teardrop-shaped lake just north of Lake Simcoe.
Very beautiful ..So Clean lots of stuff for kids ...
Great place to spend time with family and friends. Clean and pet friendly. ????????
The park is so clean and well kept. The playground, garden and boardwalk are all great. Lots of nice shade trees and shelter areas with a nice beachfront.
The place is nice. However,Only visit if you want to get ripped off with parking. Visitor parking is apparently $50. Not to mention, signs to enforce paid parking are literally non existent. Received a $100 parking ticket. Be very careful.
Theu have a bunch of pokestops and a pokemon gym here, great for hunting on pokemon go days
Nice spot to relax in the summer and a great place to skate in the winter!
Lots to do. Lovely lakeside boardwalk. Great for kids
Always nicely manicured lawns and beautiful gardens. A fabulous place to spend time with family or on your own.
Nice family park on the water. Not too crowded, very pretty and scenic.
Nice beach. A lot of cigarette butts though so watch your kids. The park is beautiful and the playground looks pretty fun. Washrooms have generally been clean when I've used them.
Wonderful park/beach for the family. Nice walk on the boardwalk. Very peaceful, quiet, calm beach. Most deffinetly returning next year and year after. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Very well looked after
Wonderful beach side park..had a lovely time with family and friends on Canada Day.
This park has a small beach that is very popular with the locals. One can park the car and walk 5 minutes across a grassy picnic area and a biking trail to the beach. The public washroom/change room is big and quite clean. There was a life guard when I was there. The life guars office is next to the washroom building. One can also rent yakak too. Im not sure how clean the water is because there is a big and busy marina next door.
Its a great place for swimming, hangout and fishing.
We loved our time at couchiching Park. From the cute beach, the parks, the picnic area and cute shops which are such a close walk. We got ice cream and walked along the water. The beach is so clean and you can tell everyone does their part to keep it that way. This area is beautiful and much cleaner than a lot of other beaches around. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again!
One of my most favourite places to visit
Nice clean park.
Great park. Beautiful views. Nice boardwalk. Good for lunch by the water.
Great park for kids, also very nice for walks on & around the boardwalk. Also plenty of parking available all year-round. Washrooms sometimes open, been hit or miss in that department lately.
Orillia has a very nice park and waterfront to visit. In the summer there’s the boardwalk and a nice playground for the little guys to play on.
If you're driving muskoka then explore the park. The beautiful lake looks like the toppings on the trees! ;)
Do not visit this place, there are many other good beaches to visit. 50$ Flat Rate per day for the PARKING and it's at long distance one. No other option. Closest ones are Free for local resident ONLY. City of Orillia Corporation, so selfish to visitors and parking tickets so beware to just park your vehicle, lack of parking meter around and small boards anyone can miss and fall in their trap to end up paying $80-$100 set fine.
Gorgeous scenery, lovely beach, the best for moonlight strolls and is a great place for free date night and time with kids
Beautiful beach with a playground, biking/rollerblading path, boating, picnic tables, ice cream and hot dog stands, restaurants near by...lots to do.
Beautiful spot for a walk, run or to bring the kids. Very nice views and clean water.
Beautiful and breathtaking great walks
Great place for a picnic with friends. There is plenty of spots with picnic tables and shade to enjoy. The water temperature is not good bad either.
Wish they would fix the lighting along the board walk. It is pretty unsafe to walk on there at night what with the broken boards and being pitch black in places.
What a great place! Lots of space, tons of waterfront, a terrific launch ramp, and a beautiful, newly completed boardwalk for your walking and viewing pleasure. Throw a frisbee, kick a ball, ride your scooter or jump off the dock and enjoy this place your way. Lots of shady spots to set up your family, and then enjoy the gardens and playgrounds. Orillia has done this up first class!
Beautiful little beach, calm, clean, clear shallow water and great for family with small children. There is a deck where you can jump in the water. So much fun! Life guards on site, a marina, washrooms, picnic area and playground. I will definitely go back... but not just yet because I do have to complain about something that does not make too much sense to me. Due to covid they did close all the parking lots near the beach/marina for visitors. The parking lots available are charging a flat rate of $50. Why? ???? it was quite a headache driving around and not finding a reasonable place to park. Other than that, a great place to visit.
Boo. 10$ a HOUR and 50$ a day for parking? Even downtown Toronto costs less. It’s almost like they don’t want tourists to come to Orillia. No problem, we we go spend our money in friendlier towns.
Amazing picnic spot. No charge for parking & picnic spot booked for free. Loved the place. Very close to beach & washroom is much cleaner than any picnic spot. One of the best.
Lovely beach for swimming . Spend time with family . You can try some fishing as well.
It's a small beach. It could be much better but the the geese poop is as plentiful as sand.
Today was not crowded and not many out of towners
Pretty place, lot of boats dock there and sailing by.. makes you really want a boat that you can’t afford ???? I was there before they implemented $50 for visitors but it was very packed, so I didn’t stay long. It sucks but I see where they are coming from to help control Covid brought in from other areas.
Good spot. Some nice restaurants in and around the area. Lots of renovations and upgrades going in and around that area.
Awsome festival for Canada's Day. Above and beyond amount of visitors expected I'm sure. Parking difficulties, but not unreasonable. Excelent hospitality. Could use sprinkler park at this location as well.
Great place has so many things to play for all ages kids. The beach is small but the playgrounds are amazing.
Beautiful lakefront park. Have visited all seasons, always a delight.
Beautiful lake and nice sandy beach. During the summer this is where a lot of events are held ie. Scottish Festival, Canada Day Celebrations and other family orientated events.
Great park with beach, changing room, washroom, and playground. Mainly, I like it here since it’s not crowded.
Beach is nice and small. Lots of picnic tables, and areas to sit. The playground is great, and they have a nice bathroom. An average park.
What a beautiful waterfront! It has a very nice beach area, an excellent park for the kids with a train ride, kayak rentals, band shell, boardwalk, decent public washrooms and change rooms. Well done Orillia!
Free parking for locals and $50 pay parking for visitors was the worse kind of the welcoming to your guests who bring the money to your city. We are living in Canada where treat everybody equally. 3 closest parking with full facilities for locals and the far one for $50 for guests.
Great park , large, and free parking. Only thing I would suggest expanded the sand area as it is always packed on hot summer days
Really good park!
Large park with padded play areas for kids and a dock for fishing. Two side boat launch and ample trailer parking along the road.
Beautiful place for a beach and/or hiking
I normally just ride the path on my eBike, but it's always kept patched and the park is well groomed. Best park in Orillia by far.
Is usually amazing for even myself being older and ages 4 and up but the quarantine wear has it dirtier, rustier and more visually unappealing
Accessible women's toilet does not appear to be right height. Toilet paper dispenser is in the way. Accessible stall is furthest from the door. Lock on stall door was broken. Taps on sinks were not automatic and not flipper handles. Had to hold tap with one hand and rinse with another. Unsanitary and inaccessible.
Nice place to visit on a sunny day..
It was very enjoyable.
This is truly an enjoyable place we are just getting to know the area but we definitely be posting on the restaurants around since we love to eat out
Lovely place to take a walk, spend time with nature or meet with friends
Awful experience at Couchiching Beach park. Parking used to be free but is now $50 and BBQ on the grass is no longer allowed. The park has security guards that are super aggresive and very eager to give out tickets. I witnessed them writing a parking citation while someone was still in the car which was outrageous. The water is dirty and park itself is very plain. I would definitely recommend going to other parks/beaches in the area like Mara where it is much nicer, BBQ is allowed and parking is way cheaper.
Not really appealing with all the garbage, people coming up to you begging for cigarettes, homeless people sleeping all over the place.
Adequate park setting, plenty of stuff for kids (beach, park), nice boardwalk. Good place to visit and live near.
This park is just amazing a long stretch to walk and nice area where kids can play.
Nice park. Family friendly and clean water
Nice park for a quick stroke along the lake or for a picnic. No BBQs allowed.
Simple train. Engaging playground. A place for everyone to congregate. The city should think about hiring a de gooser for the grass.

Beautiful Beach and park in Orillia!!! Absolutely worth the visit, but for locals only during covid! Stay safe ????
Nice and quiet. Good place to relax. Not sure why resident parking permit is required
Nice place but only local parking available
Nice, clean, well maintained park. The only reason I didn't give this park 5 stars was the mess around the monument construction. It's been going on forever... definitely time to finish this project.
Good place to bike n eat and has a great fair for Canada's Day with ???? works...nice boating areas, and travelers from all over..
Was there for Canada Day. A very nice place. Even though there was a boatload of people there for the celebration, it was clean with a nice vibe to it. I was impressed.
Would of given it a better score if they had of had parking for out of towners. Seems like only residents can park there. I get with COVID-19 and the lockdowns they were overwhelmed with people. We came to have lunch and ride the trail. We found a side street to park our car finally but not near the park. Won't be back anytime soon. They may want to give the gazebo a coat paint sometime. Loved that the washrooms are kept clean
our shore is so beautiful
A nice small beach, good for a day trip with the family. Lifeguards on duty. Small boardwalk area by the marina. Only downside was that parking is $50 for non locals (crazy)! We drove two minutes into town and found other parking instead and walked 5-10 minutes to the beach. Would not go back simply because of the cost of parking, which I can understand as we are still in COVID.
Pretty nice for a little town, nice a romantic at night, good for kids and family in the day
Great for all ages..... walking, playing as a family..
Beautiful park! Really nice boardwalk to walk along in the summer. Definitely want to visit again soon!
Amazing park! We come there every year from Toronto. Always fun!
A great place to have family get together with a park and beach. Free on Monday to Friday and on weekends 50$ for parking, flat rate.
Excellent picnic park and ample of parking space. Great place for outdoor gathering ( Don't forget to follow the Covid-19 Guidelines for outdoor gatherings). Respect the visitors and Support the local business.
Great park minutes away from downtown or any neighborhood for that matter! The boardwalk is vast and the view is beautiful. Kids playground is fully equipped with activities for different age groups. The park is well maintained. Only issue for visitors outside Orillia is $50 parking per day. We parked in downtown using metered parking to avoid the issue. Overall had a pleasant experience.
I love it here, it’s peaceful clean and my family and I always make a trip into town for some local goods at the end of our trip.
Super clean and peaceful! Definitely a go to for a nice picnic / short day trip away from the city
Great place had full day of fun lots to do a see take the bike path it was beautiful
They charged us $50 for parking. The beach and water are almost clean. Although they charged a lot they don't control the crowd who just walk there and haven't paid. They washed bathrooms twice which is a good thing. They don't enforce social distancing and we had to ask people to keep their distance. If you're not a resident of Orillia you should park further although they were so many spots available closer to beach.
I wish I lived here. Excellent park for adults and children alike
A beautiful place to visit on a lovely spring day.
Very nice place for baby/toddler.
Great park its well maintained, beautiful flowers, great layout nice playground for the kids always had a good time at the couchiching park !!!
Absolutely loved it. It has a boat launch, massive super green beautiful parks, beach. Kids have so much to do and so does adults. Absolutely loved it. The small ice cream shop was so good. 1 star less for the parking 50 dollars parking is a rip off.
Water is warm but dirty. A lot of people, the beach is pretty small.
Very nice place to hang around. Nice play area for kids. We love this place
Breathtaking views. Very good for kids. Safe swimming area
Beautiful well maintained small park Does not support bus loads of out of town families trying to enjoy the summer...barely room for Orillia families to roam! Serious issue that needs to be addressed by taxpayers of the city Generating revenue from parking tickets at the Port just doesn't cut it! Welcome to Orillia Ontario spend spend spend is our moto
Beautiful place! the people are also super nice.
Very beautiful waterfront in orilla with great park for the children.
So 1st: Parking is an issue. Parking in any of the areas near the park is reserved for residents and as we arrived, people were getting tickets. The options to park is near a restaurant (50$ a day) or if you go into the downtown area, public P parking (still have to pay) or at the metro store (2 hours max). 2nd: The park is patrolled by police, so no BBQ in the park, keep your dog on a leash, no dogs on the beach. 3rd: For a Sunday, was fairly quiet. Lots of shaded grass areas to sit and lots of park benches, tables. 4th: If you picnic, lots of seagulls trying to steal your food!
One of the best features is being able to cruise through the park with your significant other.
Beautiful, well maintained park. Great for all ages.
Beautiful, well kept grounds. Lots of space, great playground. Large swimming area with a lifeguarded beach. Parking is limited on weekends.
Very quiet and lovely place to relax with the family.
Beautiful park and no parking at waters edge so everyone can enjoy the view.
Great place for family. Winter brings the opportunity to explore the shoreline from a different perspective. Pathways are cleared making it easy for everyone to get around.
Very beautiful place. Especially on a sunny day !
Made a stop by the park after visiting Mariposa market with my family. It was well worth the drive from Newmarket. The park was clean and my kids enjoyed the slides and other park features. The boardwalk was also great! Unfortunately there are a lot of cigarette smokers in the area which takes away from the natural beauty.
Very nice area the train ride is the best and well worth the 3.00 my son loved it
Clean, friendly people, great for a peaceful walk along the lake shore. Boards on boardwalk are new, just installed. Lots of shade trees. Great place to chill out, meditate and or, have a BBQ with friends and family. Lots of picnic tables
Clean and very warm water. Small but very well designed beach park. I had very nice day.
This is a fantastic park. It's great for kids. The park is very well kept and people are friendly. There is a small train for kids. Bring the family for a picnic.
We love this park???????????? Great for picnics, a swim, a walk or renting a kayak. Great place for everyone. Scenery is amazing!
The place really nice but people not too much we pay for the parking $50 in the visitor parkings but they still give us a ticket for $80 dollars soo o wouldn't recommend this place it was a really bad experience ????
Gotta go early if you want a picnic table. GREAT water front w the snack bar, change rooms and excellent park. Not to mention the fun little train
Decided to take a drive up here as we wanted to have a family BBQ. It is such a nice place, good places to sit as well as washrooms and they have a boardwalk which was awesome as we took the dog for a nice long walk. Will def visit again!
A nice boardwalk to view the marina of Orillia and close to downtown . Equipped with a public boat launch and public washrooms nearby
Beautiful park, had a picnic dinner. Lots of space and picnic tables. Beautiful beach. Not very busy. ???? Lots of trees. A public dock, and lots of green lush grass!
Nice beach but no bbq is allowed this year.
The park is fantastic. I just hope they don't build condos near it, city of orillia needs to leave it the way it is
Small beach but lot of parking ,very clean natural swiming pool. Not very crowded
Great waterside park. Very well groomed and clean. Loads of facilities and nearby amenities for a fun day outdoors. Thanks to the city of Orillia for providing a great gathering area.
Beautiful. Relaxing. Lots of parking most days. Clean. Toronto huge family Picnickers do take it over on long weekends.( hope they actually buy something in town) Great place to sit & watch the boats. Boat ramp. Swimming. Close to shopping & quaint main street.
Nice little place to visit and enjoy a nice ice cream along the board walk in the evening, great beach to swim at and a nice park for the kids.
Beach is fairly small but nice area to walk or ride a bike.
Clean. Friendly. Beautiful park.
Great fun place to take your kids out. The only negative about this place which takes out those 2 stars is parking. All the parking near by to the beach are reserved for residents and obnoxious prices for paid parking (flat $50). You have to walk for about 10 mins for paid parking.
Lovely place for family
Nice clean beach, well staffed with life guards. Great modern playground.
This park is great. Lots of events for the public and the grounds are well maintained.
Beautiful Park. New board walk along waterfront. Great kids play area.
Lovely clean family beach with handy facilities on site. Nice place to spend a family beach picnic.
Best place to go have coffee in your car
The park is great fun for the kids, sometimes live music to enjoy, a nice boardwalk to walk on in the evenings, and the grounds are well maintained. We like to picnic here!
Couchiching Beach Park includes the town dock and sandy beach areas that attract many to Lake Couchiching each summer. This beach park is a very nice place to bring family for swimming or picnic. BBQ or Propane not allowed - $ 300 fine by City of Orillia. The Rotary Train – Not operating due to the pandemic. Amenities: a swimming beach, a concession, flower gardens, picnic tables, pavilions, washrooms and fountains Paid parking available. Do not park at the resident permit only parking space where you will get fined.
Great beach to spend the day with the family. Large playground and my son loved the train ride.
Nice and beautiful. Water is clean and bottom is sand. Very few rocks.
Awesome little place. The Beach is about 3 to 400 meters long but very cozy. People are great ! We caught a little lobster , Couldn't believe it ! Water is warm , perfect fit swimming. It's like a real Beach. No need to walk 2 blocks to reach deep end ! Spent a couple of days in Wasaga but were way too close to people. Not good for social distancing. Then found this place , now we're set !
ITS NICE CLEAN AND REALLY GOOD PLACE FOR PICNIC ESPECIALLY BARBECUES.ALL WASHROOMS ARE CLEAN .
Lovely lake front park with beach and snack bar great place for a walk along the lakefront
Our favourite place in Orillia. Rent a kayak, swim, walk, bike - beautiful gardens.
What a lovely bike ride along the pretty Orillia waterfront. During the pandemic, it's 'resident only' parking on Fri. Sat. and Sun. but we live close by so it's easy to limit our visits to early weekdays. The views are lovely, the trails and washroom faculties are clean and the kids' play areas abundant. And Orillia itself - especially now with its "Streets Alive' artist's installation is a great place to shop or have lunch.
Nice park orrilia quiet and beautiful neighborhood
Very nice park only thing is there is a $50 parking fee if you are not a resident of orillia
Sandy Beach. Clean. A few Perch past the swim buoys.
Quiet little gem in downtown Orillia. The parks crew do a great job keeping up the gardens and property in general. Great for the family, pets or anyone just looking to take a break
I stay in gravenhurst and Orillia a lot during summer. Last weekend I did some antiquing in Orillia. When I was done I decided to have a coffee at Couchiching park. I was going to be gone within 30 minutes and they still wanted to charge me 50.00 for a half hour. I spend thousands every month in Orillia... Gravenhurst... Bracebridge.. Port Carling. Seems a little steep to pay 50.00 to drink a coffee and leave. Trust me.. I understand your point of view. I would have paid for the half hour but not 50.00
Ugh, I've been visiting this beach every summer ever since I was little. It's such a beautiful scenery, such a nice and quiet place to be at.
Very clean and not too busy considering the weather. We bike the entire path weekly.
Only open to locals during covid 2021. Dont waste the trip till covid is over. No bbqs
Great place to bring your family or just go for a walk
Great place. Good fun.
????
Nice view. Fairly short trail. Some tents around the park.
Very nice place to go during fall. Surprised to see lots of flowers in full bloom. Tranquil setting.
Usually enough parking, great kids park, nice board walk and view, good boat launch. Frenchies wasn't open for the season yet :-(
Had a wonderful time with my family here. The beach is well maintained and it is an absolutely lovely environment. Grass was freshly cut, the sand was clean, as was the water. There are lots of different areas that are able to accommodate all different kinds of needs. Picnic tables for those needing a rest or wanting to have a picnic. Nice, large fields for recreation (possible picnic spot as well), docks with a nice boardwalk, sandy and grassy beach zones. There is also a skatepark at the far end of the lakefront near the marina and plenty of things to do if you're playing PokemonGo!
A beautiful place to visit.
Nice clean beach. The locals are friendly. I use the FREE boat launch regularly for when I go fishing. Parking is also free.
It's the perfect park to have a happy time with your family and friends.
Don't bother visiting if you drive and out of town.. parking Friday to Sunday is for residence only. I can see why this town as lots of closed business by discouraging tourist.
Love it. Playgrounds, boats, food, music..something for everyone!
Great place to picnic and go for walks along the lake
Lovely park. Great place for all people. A nice walk along the boardwalk, a swim at the beach, playground equipment for the young at heart and plenty of place to picnic.
Nice place to walk and enjoy the view of the lake. Oh...clean washrooms too.
Was there for the Funfest with my 2 year old and even though the weather was cold to hot to cold and off and on rainy we had fun playing games and eating fries and cotton candy!
The place was full of dog poo and it's not maintained well. Parking is flat $50 per car during week end. Nothing much to see.. I recommend visiting Berry beach. That's lovely.
Great Beach. Always very clean. Great place to take kids. Go early to avoid it getting busy
Not so good... Looks rough and the picnic tables need sanded and repaired.
Really beautiful park and a nice beach too.
Small beach for local neighbourhood. Barbecue not allowed. $300 fine
Park is always pretty clean, has a pretty cool mini diesel train that can take you for a lil ride around the park. Beach is nice and has snack bars, pretty enjoyable place to take the family.
Beautiful park! Lots of parking, KMs of boardwalk and trails. Great playground for kids.
Wonderful lakeside views, very large relatively new children's play area ...lots of free parking...can easily spend hours relaxing here.
Great little beach, but like others have said, $50 parking if you’re not local and the visitor parking lot is a very long walk to the beach for those with little kids. Why do this when there are plenty of parking spots for all to enjoy right beside the beach.
A great little Waterfront to sit and relax and have a coffee or walk along the boardwalk.
great park to spend a day with the family-- beach, playground, bike paths, etc. also has indoor washrooms.
Quiet and serene park.A small sandy beach. You can enjoy good picnic by the water. Overall amazing experience.
Nice beach and picnic area. When your finished swimming you can walk the beautiful boardwalk which begins the otherside of the pier.
Absolutely gorgeous place!!! Stunning scenery. Lots of great pubs and restaurants around. After dinner, went for a walk, just stunning. Local residents are also extremely friendly. Great place for couples and families to visit!
50$ Flat Rate per day for PARKING. No other option. Free for resident. Good job Orillia, so selfish to visitors. Your city will become rich because of the expensive parking and parking tickets so beware to just park, lack of parking meter around. I pray that other city would implement that if they live in Orillia, the parking rate will be 50$ per hour.
This place has good beach area with lifeguards, bbq areas and playground for kids.
If they trim the long seaweed from the docks and bring back barbecuing; the park would be a perfect place. Instead of asking travelers to take their burnt charcoal back, they need to install a designated dump bin. This will ensure rules are being followed and the parks will remain clean and safe.
Nice park. Enjoyed my visit.
Great place to spend the afternoon! Long boardwalks and newer playgrounds
Its a beautiful place for families and very clean the only bad thing is that there were teenagers smoking weed infront of the children by the beach and non of the staff said anything about It. I had to remove my daughter from their spot so she didnt smell that, and I do understand that its a private beach but their parking for visitors its extremely EXPENSIVE, $50 dollars for parking its ridiculous and its 10 to 15 mins walk away from the actually beach part. I got so disappointed I got a 100 dollar ticket just because I park for 5 min to get my daughter's to hold a spot. I feel very sad as it is a nice place but I almost feel discriminated just because I come from out of town I get over charged. I won't be coming back to this beach but Im sure that's what they want..
Just a marvelous park to take family for the day...great beach...wonderful child play area...great views
Loved it as a kid great beach had a cool train i think it still runs for kids
Great place for a day trip. Parking is a bit busy on weekends but it's free!
Okay beach. If you are a non resident of Orillia you have to pay $50 for parking which is absurd and not worth it. You are better off going out of the town.
The park is nice and large but $50 a day parking for the weekend is way too expensive. When you add the fact that the water is not clean to enter you have to wonder why you are paying so much when you can go to a provincial park and have access to the water. For $15 you can access clean water or pay $50 to swim in the town of Orillia pee soup.
Beautiful park with a really cool playground. The playground has so much fun stuff and equipment that I've never seen at any other park before. My daughter absolutely loves it. The water is beautiful for swimming or boating. The big boat ride that they have is pretty amazing as well. Nice to sit back and checkout all the beautiful properties and water around while sipping on a beverage. Also have food and ice cream conveniently located.
Beautiful day at the lake side park. Lots of benches line the waterfront. Great view from the shore. Large parking lot and easy access to launch your boat. Big play area with swings and climbing, many things to keep the children busy. Lots of shade.
Excellent park, nice beach, clean, close to grocery stores and the city, park tables plus no barbecue is allowed in the park to avoid smoke and fires.
City of Orillia closing down drive circle. Park will be condominiums private lawn and beach in a few years
There was a bacteria warning, but we did not know until the children were already in the water. The sign had fallen down, and no signs were visible from the parking lot, so we unloaded four kids, picnic baskets etc.
Beautiful place to spend an afternoon! Bands are always playing in the bandshell at 6 and food stands are good.
They put visitor parking extremely far from beach and it's $50 flat fee for parking. I understand providing preferred parking for residents but this is absurd. Then charge $50 for a family from hours away to take their 15 month old to play in sand and playground. Find a better town to give your money to
This beach may be fairly small but they have great festivals all year long
Lovely waterfront park close to downtown. Small but excellent supervised beach. Lots of space, shade and tables for family picnics. Good washroom facilities. Also a nice boardwalk by the marina
Always beautiful. Bike and walking trail. Boat launch. Kayak rental. Nice beach. Decent bathrooms
Don't visit this place as there are many good beaches around. The water is very dirty and the park us having lots of bugs also beware about the parking. The parking is $50 per day and if you park in residential permits then $100 ticket.
Beautiful view!
A big park, swimming, play ground, boat launch and festivals all summer. Well maintained.
Beautiful park for a walk. Lots of places to enjoy a picnic. Love Couchiching Park.
the best, best and best. peace + amusement = heaven. i fall in love with this place. Whole source of water, nice garden and historical monuments and joy train.
Beautiful, clean and wash room facilities are available and very clean and well maintained.
$50 to park during Covid, what nonsense. Orillia citizens need to understand that Covid isn't going away soon, non residents bring income to the city, limit the numbers but don't price gouge for parking as a control measure.
Great little sandy beach for the kids to enjoy the water. We went on a weekday in July during Covid and it wasn't busy, distancing wasn't a problem. There were also a lot of lifeguards on shore paying attention to what everyone was doing. Washrooms are very close. The grassy area was also nice to enjoy our picnic after swimming.
I took a client I work with for a nice long walk. He loved it,as he hadn't been out of the house for a week. We both enjoyed every minute of our walk.
Nice beach but they need to clean up a bit. Way too many spider webs and some dead birds as well which was extremely unpleasant.
A beautiful place for family and friends. It was a nice time out with a friend who was celebrating her birthday. The community was so friendly. The supervisor was there for everyone.
Nice beach ambience, loved the train ride around the park, great feel for the kids
If not from Orillia it is $50 for the day for non-residents. This fee is in effect t until September.
People smoking cigarettes really ruins a nice experience
If you are not from the town, you have to pay $50 for parking. It is free for residents but not for the visitors. We had to park far away from the beach even the parking lots near the beach was almost empty and we had to walk for a mile with 2 kids and with all staffs in our hands. Congrat. Orillia we will not visit you again and I think this is the message that they would like to give. NO VISITORS.
Nice park and beautiful beach! There is a great opportunity to take trip to Chiefs Islands by canoe or kayak. I have done such trip by SUP! And it was one of my best advenures!!!
Great place to cool off in the lake, have a picnic, walk along the boardwalk!
