Here you will see all the information of real people who are buying the products of Rondeau Provincial Park (Park) in the area of Ontario (Canada).
At the present this firm gets a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and the score is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is virtually the highest, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the assessment is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Park is classified in the category of State park.
Such a beautiful park. Especially late summer and early fall. Great for biking and hiking.
The park is very well kept, perfect for families. They even have kids area for playing. They have few hiking trails such as Harrison trail 16 KM easy and flat. Few other trails very short 1.5 km 500 meter . Short trails are educational about birds and insects ( this year due to Covit the park is not offering the tour but you can walk on your own) they have plenty of clean washrooms, very nice staff, beaches for swimming, canoeing, kayaking. .. The park has designated area for trailers separate than car campers. The only annoying thing is bloody mosquitoes after 8 PM they won't let you enjoy your campfire. Mesh Shelters highly recommended .
Beautiful park. Lots of trails. Long beaches. Friendly staff. Great Visitor Centre
Great family park! Beautiful sites, great trails for walking and biking out site was close to all amenities including the park store, beach, and playground. We had a nice level site and a good mix of sun and shade. Staff were friendly and the amenities were clean and in great working order. We will definitely be back!
First time at Rondeau and very much liked it. Everything from the beach, to go fishing, store were all in walking distance. Did not have to drive. Just biking was good enough. The camp sites were great but very hilly. Uneven ground. Was …
Rondeau Park is described as "The heart of the Carolinean Forest" and it is certainly a stunning place with beautiful campsites that are really well kept, and gorgeous beaches (some sandy and some rocky). They also have a pet friendly beach and several docks you can launch boats from. The mosquitoes are viscious though, so be ready. And the toads are everywhere. Most campsites have very little privacy so this may be a turn off for some people. Overall the bathrooms were kept clean and the visitor centre is small but lovely and informative. We will definitely come back when we have a chance.
Beautiful provincial park. Camping in lush green areas with lots of shade, picnic areas and nice long beaches. Lots of trees, wildlife and the water is clean and refreshing. Even a dog beach for your fur babies. Perfect for those hot summer days with your loved ones and a good little snack bar with ice cream to cool down. Check it!
Nice water no smell clean all beaches in park trails to walk Provincial car parking available no need to book in advance Drive is beautiful with lot of Erie farms Lot of food 15 min prior to park entry
Beautiful beach. Camping was mostly quiet and big sites
Had an amazing time at the park. Pros. Lots of walking and biking paths. Well maintained park. Bathrooms located near trails. Campground. "LCBO" right before you enter the park. Cons. Has a beach, but is very rocky. There's campgrounds and a LCBO near.
Amazing park. The sites are great, with a mixture of relatively private to spacious and open. The staff are always friendly and the park store has a pretty good variety of "oops" items that you may have forgotten or run out of... and the …
Rondeau Provincial Park has been my favourite of the Provincial Parks in the area. The water was wonderfully warm and so clear in July, I felt like while stuck in Ontario, I was able to get away to a tropical beach. I will be returning to this park in the future!
Sites aren't great for privacy, but the surrounding area, beaches and sunsets are great!
Park is very large, lots of hiking trails. Numerous beaches, large sand banks with some amount of shadow available. But washrooms are not always close to the place where you stop by for swimming though.
First time camping here. It's close to home and nicely laid out. First impression was that it was weird seeing so many private residences/cottages contained within a provincial park. :o But the camping portion of the park is isolated enough that you still feel like you are camping. The sites are big, level and mostly isolated from each other. Washrooms are clean. Showers are warm and have plenty of water pressure. A big plus! The Bayview Market store just outside the front gate is much bigger than it looks and carries a tremendous selection of everything. If you forgot something you can find it there ;). The downside to the large sites is the power hook ups are a distance away from where your trailer will be. Bring an extension cord! And there is no water hook up on the sites. You will need to use your onboard holding tank or can hit one of the many fill stations along the road. It's just a little more inconvenient. Some of the trails aren't great but there are many options for hiking. Just bring bug spray. The mosquitoes are quite plentiful in some areas. Also the dog beach although enormous and beautiful is located many kilometers away from the actual camp sites so you'll need to drive there. (and back with a wet dog...) Bring towels! Overall it's a decent campground though.
Great spot for camping, swimming, relaxing and anything else you like to do outdoors. There are several boardwalk access points to the beach from all camp sites. Range of camp sites from partially shaded to full sun. Good spacing at some …
Just came back from a 4 day trip with my family. This is a beautiful park, with many playgrounds, trails and beach. Unfortunately, it was Mid-Sept and too cold for swimming and beach days so we didn't get to enjoy that. There are also signs posted everywhere about ticks in the area so wasn't too comfortable with going and coming from the beach anyway... Covid-19 didn't help the situation either as the park store was closed. We definitely want to go back to enjoy this park to the fullest once everything is back open and back to pre covid days...
This park does not have the most spectacular scenery, but it’s just so comfortable staying here: clean washroom, easy parking, small animals to view, water sports, fishing, and etc. It’s particularly fun to learn about snake from the naturalist program staff Shane.
Beautiful clean long stretch of beach, clean washrooms, delicious ice cream at the shop, a lovely way to spend a wonderful summer day with family. Camping is also available. Good biking and walking trails.
This park has nice savannah trails with a huge variety of birds and snakes. Even though some trails are flooded the enjoyed hiking them, the beaches are bit crowded I would avoid main beaches during this pandemic but the small beaches at the end of trail are good and are not visited by most of the people.
Great beaches, relatively flat very easy biking around the park. Camping sites are again relatively flat with some in amongst the trees and others without trees, grassy and lots of sun. We had site #50.
Similar foliage and terrain in the woods as you will find in SW Ontario parks - maples, birches, oaks, vines, and ground covers. Always a rich environment that becomes a bit swampy in places after a heavy rain but great for bird watching, taking pics, and pic icing. Oh , and don't forget to check out the nice beach and camping areas! Always a pleasure!
Really enjoyed this past weekend adventures at Rondeau Provincial Park. Our dog enjoyed swimming and playing with other dogs at the dog beach. The hikes were short and nicely groomed for a leisure stroll through the forest. 1st night the stars were absolutely stunning at the campgrounds. We were a bit early for the bird ???? migrations but did see a fair number of smaller birds. Well kept and everyone wore a mask before entering the washroom facilities. We will visit again next year.
Really enjoyed our weekend here. The beaches were beautiful, bathrooms and campsites were clean. Can't ask for more. My only complaint was the flies made staying longer on the beach hard. We wanted to stay longer but the flies were brutal. At the camp site though they weren't bad. Barely even saw a mosquito either. We'll definitely be going back..... With stronger bug spray lol
If you love to be on a beach watching sunset or sun bathing during the afternoon, This would be a perefect place for you. The access to the Marsh trail (I think the most beautiful trail in this park) is closed. If you are driving go to the …
Amazing park. Full-on nature experience that you can get. Just follow up on the weather updates before heading. Also, hell lot of mosquitoes and bugs. Make sure to pack lots of bugs repellents and you're good to go.
Had a short stay at Rondeau park, next time it will absolutely be longer. The sites here are huge and there are tons of gorgeous walking/biking trails. The park is very clean and all of the people we met were super friendly. I look forward to returning and kicking myself for not finding this park sooner.
Always a great choice! Fantastic trails through the woods or near the lake shore, areas to cycle safely without traffic, picnic areas throughout, shallow water beaches, clean, excellent washrooms, and the best ice cream at the store!
We had a wonderful trip to Rondeau! The layout is SO user friendly. The trails are fun to walk, picturesque and tidy but not so much to take you put of the natural setting.
As a teen I camped here a lot was always fun time, as an adult I've camped here once had a great time with some nieces n nephews on the beach was a nice beach, nice campsite we had, and I went here today to hike and we went on the tulip …
Our most loving Provincial Park. Highly recommend it! Great bike trails, lake Erie is amazing there, no rocks!!! The only thing is that there are flies that can bite on on the beach and sometimes you want to escape out of it. But using bug spray helps and this is seasonal! You can ask questions. I would be happy to help.
This is a great place to get in touch with nature. There are several trails from easy to more difficult depending on how far you want to walk and there are also bike trails there as well as many beach areas.
Rondeau PP doesn't disappoint you in any way. Long beach for campers and day use. Well maintained sand beach, very clean water, warm in summer months. You can enjoy some waves when it's windy out there. The camping area is very spacious. Hundreds of camping sites. Some are really large, so you need to pay attention when you book. Washrooms are available all over the place. Also showers available at selected locations. Staff at the front office are helpful, and patrol the camp sites regularly. Noise free starts at 11 pm, and it's enforced firmly. You can expect OPP cruiser after midnight checking on night owls campers, but they are extremely friendly as well. There is an ice cream store across from the beach where you can also buy ice. And outside the day use gate, there is couple of stores where you can buy few items and food as well. Long trials to bike on, and few places to fish as well. Worth visiting.
Beautiful area, friendly staff, lovely beaches. Only downside is there are a ton of mosquitoes I didn't want to have a fire at night. But during the day it's totally fine.
Beautiful place, Great park , nice waterfront, everything you need is very close to you!! Is 3 h west of Toronto, 401 west , exit 101. Trip goes fast, Exit is very well marked, then you just drive straight south. It makes a very nice weekend, or vacation. Vic.
Such a beautiful park to visit in the fall when the colours are changing! We visit every October to enjoy a beautiful ride on our bikes through the park. The beach area is also beautiful! I actually was proposed to on the first trail off the main road, so it holds a lot of great memories for me. Can't wait to bring my kids out here one day!
I am a life-long resident of the community just outside the gates. Rondeau is a wonderful natural place with all the beach and trail you could ask for. There used to be many amenities in the park for visitors, most of which have been …
A nice camping site, with close by access to bathrooms and even showers (in some restrooms). Very large beach on Lake Erie, and the others side is a bay where you can watch the sun set nicely. Wood is fairly cheap ($8/bag wood; $6/bag kindling). General store just outside of the park's entrance, also able to rent kayaks. There is also a pub/grill restaurant outside the entrance. The main park store was closed for the season starting September 8.
Other than the mosquitos which are a given. Rondeau Park is a wonderful place to bring your family for camping out, fishing and beaching. The staff members are wonderful. They are also store near by, to get things like ice, firewood and …
Nice campground with friendly staff. It is however surrounded by private properties ( with beach access). You are not supposed to bring your own wood but the one they sold me was bad quality(rotten). See the content of my 2nd bag. 1st was as bad. If you see a camp fire that is really burning then the wood is not from here! The dog beach is 8-9 km away (far end). Family friendly. Nice to ear children laughing heartedly. Some partying on week-end but really reasonable and mostly good music :-) All was quiet early (before 9h30pm). So overall good experience but disappointed by my 'boiling' wood. Check the bags!
Beautiful place. Excellent clean and warm water considering it's after storm. You feel like by the sea. Will come again.
What a beautiful quaint provincial park. The park is small, although has an abundance of trails to walk. Some trails had a significant amount of bugs, mosquitos and or horse flies. Other trails did not have any bugs at all. There were signs everywhere argue ticks and to be cautious. The beach is pebbles and little and at the water front. #localguides
Excellent park. Sites are close to each other so you won't get that secluded experience. The beach is walking distance and very nice. Excellent place for some biking along the flat roads. Dog beach is a couple of kms away and very nice, …
Best camping trip for me in this summer. It’s a beautiful and convenient park which is 3 hours far from Toronto. You can watch sunrise and sunset in the same park. That’s amazing. They have white and soft sand on the beach. Washroom, water, electricity and shower are available. The clean shower rooms impressed me. We did BBQ and boating in the park. By the way, you can see wonderful windmills views on the way when you are almost there. If you want, you also can stay a little bit quiet time on the beach at night, under the starry night, listen to the waves and feeling wind on your face. Oh, you also can do hiking and bicycle there.
Beautiful park, many large camp sites, well kept washrooms with showers and laundromats. Good for biking, hiking and bird-watching, with a long stretch of sandy beach on Lake Erie (lukewarm water!), with a leash-free section for dogs and a nice Visitors Centre (both far from the camping sites ????)
This provincial park is lovely. There are plenty of walking and biking trails. You get wonderful views of the bay and the lake. Washrooms and showers are well maintained. There are not many overhead lights so when the sun sets it gets very dark. Bring plenty of lights and lanterns....and marshmallows????.
Very clean, great facilities and an all around better experince than imagined.
It is a BEACH park. A park for summer. A park for sunny days and all day at the amazing beach. Amazing summer park. Will go again next summer. I don’t think it is a fall/winter park. Washrooms amazing. Employees amazing
First time visiting Rondeau provincial park for camping. Campsites are very close to each other but washrooms and shower facilities are clean. Lots of mosquitoes and black flies so be prepared. Beaches are long and stretched. Water is not deep at all, very good for kids.
There are lots of places to walk and bike in the park - paved and unpaved. There are lots of nature trails. Rondeau seem like a quaint town with a pub and a few stores. However, while there are semi private sites, many have no privacy at all. Our site was swampy, as were many around us (see photos), and we were infested by mosquitoes all day and night. Not a great place if you are looking to avoid Lyme's disease and the West Nile Virus. Beaches are fair. There is only one dump station for the whole park.
