This Park belongs to the category of National park.
Loved it there. Campsites where clean and well kept. All facilities where clean. Quiet and great beaches. Next time will be spending more time there.
10 out of 10 epic park would go again
Amazing parc... So happy we went there... Don't miss this national Park !
Great park a 15 minute drive off 17 just east of Marathon. A real hidden gem. A mix of electric and non electric sites available on a first come first serve basis, 2-3 km hikes around the Hattie Cove campground area with stunning scenery. Very secluded cove is great for paddling. Most of the park is back country paddle and hike in. North loop sites have taller trees and slightly more privacy.
Great place to go. Really enjoyed being there
(Translated) The trails are spectacular and well-kept as well as the campsite and the services it offers. The trails lead to breathtaking paths that wind between cliffs overlooking the lake. Stop recommended. (Original) Spettacolari i sentieri e molto curati così come il campeggio nonché i servizi di cui offre. I trails conducono a sentieri mozzafiato che si snodano tra scogliere a picco sul lago. Sosta raccomandata.
Good place for hiking.
enjoy my freands this park
One of the quietest and peaceful national parks. The facilities are all brand new in the past year and super clean. This is one of the only national parks you can't reserve online. Lots of great scenic hiking trails and 4 different beaches.
Very Very beautiful and unforgettable place!
Remote, rugged & absolutely stunning!
i went pee there and it was amazing I was dabing
Great park and staff!
Just go there! Super friendly environment and great stuff to do. For a rainy day there is a small Visitor Centre to hang out. I did not try the trails, but It is said this is the main reason to be here.
Campsites, bathrooms, and showers were all great. Loved walking the many beaches/shores of Superior in this park. I only wish I had more than one day to spend here.
Hard to pronounce, impossible to forget! If you want to see the most rugged coast along Lake Superior, this is the place. Best seen from kayak, but be sure to go with a guided tour to stay safe in the remote terrain. Naturally Superior Adventures is your best bet.
One of the best nationals parks we have ever visited.. loved the granite rock hikes and the peaceful October colours. We plan on visiting more often
Loved everything here..beautiful views..great hiking..good kayaking. Sites were well designed. Bathroom was clean. Showers could have been upgraded bit that's it. Higley recommend it
We went for the day hike to the White River Suspension Bridge in early September. The trail covers the first section of the Coastal Trail. The trail (return) was about 18 km long, and took us about 5 hours. It was a quite long hike but with no steep climb. Make sure to bring a pack of lunch and lots of water. We were amazed by so many different views throughout the trail – the coastal section, wetlands, forests and finally the suspension bridge over Chigaaminwinigum Falls. The views from the Suspension Bridge were breathtaking. Also, we particularly liked the last 2 km before the bridge – the wet forest covered with moss. The trail was very wet and muddy after rain for a couple of days prior to our visit. The boardwalks were all under water, we were all soaked to ankles. A towel and extra pairs of dry socks would have been useful. The park staff at the gatehouse were very kind and friendly.
Beautiful park - camp sites are gorgeous in a beautiful natural setting.
Beautiful place! I loved it
Absolutely stunning beauty, great amenities and trails!
Terrific hiking trails are the bonus. This campground has well spaced sites that are heavily treed. The beach is a short walking distance from the campground and is spectacular. Highly recommend!
Once of the most incredible natural areas we have visited. The quiet you can experience here is so incredible - it is truly somewhere you can get away from everything and experience nature’s beauty. Highly recommended.
Superb park. Fantastic weather and the only area that allowed pit fires where others had a fire ban. We camped two days on a trip west. We returned for two days on the way back. It's truly a place to go. Hiking trails, canoe and kayaking for literally days. A suspension and great views makes for a hikers dream. Temp for mid Aug was high 17c and night time low of 6. Enough clear skies at night and being in a dark sky area makes for fantastic long exposure night photography destination. Camp sites are first come first serve. No pre booking makes for a good luck of the draw. All spots are great. Some better then others. There's two areas for the most part to camp in. After the gates the first left is a mix of electrical and non electrical. Straight through as of now is non but that may change. Toilets and showers are very nice very clean and attended to well. At night they auto shut off lights . A sensor detects you when you walk up at night. There are a few close by towns for supplies. The in town store is quite friendly and has the best price on ice.
Beautiful place
Beautiful place. Campsites are a little small. No playground.
Very nice park. Amazing views and great trails
So this park is huge, like all other National Parks so my review is specific to the north camp site and immediate trails. Overall, great place and the information centre has a few good amenities including wifi but don't expect high speeds up here. The washroom and shower facilities are maintained daily which include a sink for doing dishes. The sites are powered but with no water so you need to either bring your own or fill up at the taps. We did a few trails and had a great family time. Just make sure you come prepared with good shoes, bug repelant, a backpack with water, snacks and a small first aid kit.
I have been to Pukaskwa twice and will be going again this year! Park staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - above and beyond with service. Front country amenities are clean and comfortable + camp sites are well kept. Have not stayed backcountry but would highly recommend the White River Suspension Bridge trail. If you're not up to a long trek, the Southern Headland Trail links to the Manito Miikana and gives you spectacular views of Superior without the worry of distance that may be prohibitive for some. Do not miss Horseshoe Bay - if you traded pines for palms (and dialed up the heat) you might think you were in the Caribbean for the gorgeous water. Love, love, love this place. Pure magic.
Beautiful hiking trails, Awesome scenery!!
Great national park, the beach is amazing and we really like the trails.
What a magical place. It reminded me of Tofino, BC at times, which if you've been there, you'll know what a compliment that is. Do be aware of the cultural sensitivities involved in the park. We arrived later than we wanted to, & didn't take the time beforehand, but had the sense during visiting that it would be sacred ground. Rightly so.
This huge park has many great trails with access to or overlooks of Lake Superior. Nice campground, including dish-washing sinks at the comfort station. The visitor's center has WiFi, comfy chairs, and a deck right next to Hattie Cove. Varied outdoor activities for all interests and levels.
Sites are offset so you not looking at your neighbor. But they seen very narrow and not adequate for larger units. Beautiful spot too
Favourite place in Northern Ontario.
A beautiful and well managed park. I spent the early part of the day hiking the Coastal Trail to the swinging bridge and waterfall. I was impressed with the trail maintenance, as we saw crews working on cleaning up fallen trees and handling any major drainage issues from the storm two nights past. There were several amazing views along the trail as well, giving great opportunities for many beautiful photographs. The facilities were very clean and well placed. They had composting toilets right in the parking lot beside the trail entrance and you will find outhouses along the hile at the marked campsites. Bring toilet paper though, as you won't find any in them. All the staff were friendly and courteous during our visit. I would definitely come back to backpack the full Coastal Trail.
Loved the nature
Love this place!! Might be my favourite park. Hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding and camping. This place is great
Fell in love with the park! Though I spent a couple of hours here and did a bit of hiking, it was enough to be completely mesmerized by this place! The views are beautiful! I hope to return soon to explore more of the trails.
Beautiful place for enjoy the silent
The scenery was absolutely majestic. The trails were well maintained and the terrain was varied and interesting. The staff were nice too.
We absolutely loved this place. Breath taking!!!
(Translated) Beautiful place. I hope to go back there again. (Original) Cudowne miejsce. Mam nadzieję jeszcze tam wrócić.
(Translated) Most of the mountains, forests, and lake shores in Pukaskwa National Park are in a pristine state. There are no roads and facilities. The hiking trails with human activities are only in a very small area in the northern part of the park, so the ecological environment is well protected. There are a number of trails along the meandering water bank in the park, the water is blue and the mountains are green, and the scenery is changed on foot. During the hike, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Lake Superior and the forest. We camped in the Hattie Cove Campground in the park. The camp was cool and quiet on summer nights, watched the sunset, watched the stars, and enjoyed the campfire for two people...
Spent one night at Hattie cove, simple process for getting a site even if unmanned front booth you just write your information down. Campsites all have fire pit with grill and picnic table, bathrooms clean, garbage/recycling building, and bear proof bins for food. Quiet and space between sites.
One of the best parks we have visited in Ontario! The camp sites are very private with a lot of trees between. The comfort stations are clean and offer everything you need.(Dish washing sink, showers, laundry, recycling) The hiking trails are very well maintained and have spectacular views of lake superior. Even the prices are good for all the value you get!! To top it all off the staff were friendly and kind people.
Beautiful place, but please dont come here. I like it uncrowded
One of the most breath taking views you will find on the hiking trails that this National Park has to offer. It is very friendly environment and family oriented place. It is a bit off from the Trans Canada Highway 17 but if you are in that area, there is a perfect hiking trails and camping opportunities for those who wish to camp along Lake Superior. It is one of the most beautiful Lake Superior hiking trails in Northern Ontario. See my YouTube Channel "Nomad Honda" regarding videos about this National Park. If you need to learn about the Native Canadians, then this is one of the Native Tribes in Northern Ontario known as the Pic River First Nation. They have some cultural centre there and programs and recreational activities all the times.
Just camped overnight, but the beach at sunset was spectacular. Got a hot shower too.
If you gave this place less than 4 stars you don't deserve to be there anyway. And you suck.
Save at least two days for this gem. If you drive an EV charging stations are available in the main parking lot.
Pukaskwa National Park is just amazing. Their campground is a great place to stop for the night and pitch a tent. The park has numerous hiking trails and places to canoe or kayak. For those looking to go swimming, they got several really nice sandy beaches. If only the water was warmer Make sure you go and visit the visitors centre to see a nice display on the history of the park.
Beautiful park, the highlight of my summer. Breathtaking landscapes and well maintained hiking trails. Make sure to book an activity with the interpreter at the Anishnaabe camp.
Best little park in Canada, not expensive , right on the water and well maintained!!
Beautiful and scenic park
The beauty of the exposed rock is awe inspiring. I will return in the future.
It the best
Stunning views, hiking, biking, canoing, camping and so much more!! Highly recommended!!!
This place has caroling levels of difficulty and does not disappoint, almost everywhere you look there is something that is breath taking.
it really loves up to its billing. beautiful forests and sunset over lake Superior with the evening meal. Tough challenge, yes, but the rewards are great. we did the coastal trail.
We drove from Thunder Bay to find the place had closed for the summer (after labor day). Sigh.. maybe next year.
Very nice park. Great for hiking
Beautiful park. A must see.
I did some canoeing in this park. Lots of water and Islands.
Pukaskwa camping is not for those who typically enjoy city-style camping or "glamping". There are some electric sites and showers but it is rugged, the weather can be unforgiving even in July and the water at it's 3 beaches is always cold. It is a beautiful park and the campsites have a decent amount of privacy. There are a ton of hiking trails ranging from beginner to very demanding. Even the shortest trails have some spectacular views of Lake Superior. If you're an outdoor enthusiast or even just appreciate nature then you will love Pukaskwa
Wonderful, quiet but huge park. Minimal trails, but they ranged between sweeping lake views and beautiful dense forest. Watching the sun set over Lake Superior was fantastic.
Beautiful park.
Very good place!
This is quite possibly my favourite place in Canada.
Good place to rest while driving across Canada, 1 or 2 trails are enough, repetitive views. Not the best National Park, but worth a quick 2-3 hr stop. Would not consider this park for few days. No animals seen along trails.
it is Canadian Hawaii
Great park, very nice hikes. Not crowded. Nice beaches. We loved this park
Very nice place.
Great canoe-in campsites on Lake Superior
Beautiful nature. Hooke Falls trail was easy and fun. Good workout. Haven't tried coastal trail yet. Will return.
Amazing hiking. Such beautiful scenery. The campsites are actully really good. Very level. Sanded areas for tents. Trees trimmed well. Make sure you get out and explore. If you don't leave your campsite you might not realize that some of the most beautiful shoreline in all of Canada is only steps away. I will go back again and again.
A national gem on the already scenic North of Superior tour. Great hiking, kayaking etc. Amazing natural beaches that are wonderful to explore.
This park is great. Amazing short walks and the Suspension Bridge and Rapids/Falls is fabulous. The staff are really great. We hired a canoe and toured about Hattie Cove. We had site 29 (non electric) one night but moved to 28 when free, the next day. Reasonable fees overall. Both great sites and private. The shower block was new and clean but the 10 second timer is a pain but the water was warm, instantly. Tip- shower with your partner.... My only negative was the NO reservation policy, which was explained to me. I won’t comment, as a visitor to this beautiful country (of my birth). We travelled 6 hours to get to this beautiful places and we had no idea if we had a site for the night. But we highly recommend!!!
The backpacking trails are challenging. Be ready for them, you do not want to be disappointed having to turn around early. having said that, this is without doubt one of the most beautiful places. The park staff are extremely friendly and indeed know their stuff. It may be far, but go there, you will love it!
So beautiful there! Worth the drive for me!
Great park...with lots of trails for every ability level. Amazing rustic beaches. Facilities are top notch...WAY nicer and more practical, modern than surrounding provincial parks. Though the water stopped running at 7pm and no one fixed it til about 10 the next morning. Not sure if this is recuring problem or just s one off...but someone could have made a few signs and locked bathroom doors so the cleaners didn't arrive to work with a big mess.
Lake Superior has to be one of the most profound lakes I've ever felt! Pukaskwas trails are easy to hike and lead to some beautiful views.
Remote, rugged, beautiful scenery! If you want to get away from humanity this is a worth a visit. We backpacked for a week in June and saw four people.
(Translated) Wonderful campsite, all the staff are friendly and very welcoming. The pitches are well distant from each other and enjoy good privacy. In addition, they are well leveled and large enough. There is a dump station and water for your tank right in front of the toilet block. The toilets and showers are very clean. There are many hiking trails and a beach with canoe and kayak rentals. There is also a very clean laundry room. // Wonderful camping, all the staff are affable and very welcoming. Nice staff cleanliness all animals are here
Beautiful park, didn't camp here but the campgrounds look great. Only tried the front country trails but it is more known for its backcountry trails. Hope to come back and spend more time here.
The campsites in the non-electric area are varied in size but all provide a measure of privacy are are wooded. There is one site directly on a small lake that is very private, but the lake level is low making the view less desirable. Drinking water was only available at the campground with electric sites during our visit and the showers were closed at the non-electric sites, not a big deal. Expect no cell service. The hiking trails are magnificent with fantastic views, varied terrain and varied plant life and geology. The experience of exploring Hattie Cove and surrounding waters in a canoe was another high point, though this is highly weater dependent. Absolutely beautiful scenery and if you're really lucky you might hear the sounds of drumming echoing through the cove as you paddle.
Pukaskwa National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Ontario that I've been to in the past year. There is brand new laundry, bathroom and shower facilities located within the park, as well as beautiful Parks Canada tents with wood stoves that I was fortunate enough to stay at during my time. The landscape is jaw-dropping, and there is a ton of technical hikes across the area. You will find yourself wanting to climb every rock to get a better view of the horizon (pictures not included, you need to see this for yourself... my pictures do not do this place justice) -- go to the canoe rental area and find the trail behind it. I recently spent about 5 days there in a volunteer program cleaning up drift wood on the furthest beach making a path for beach goers. There is wifi in the information house for those who are unable to catch a signal, as well as cute souvenirs, stickers for the car and FACE BUG NETS. you will need these. trust me. Again, my pictures do NOT do this place justice - there is WAY more to be discovered here and I normally take videos not photos. Happy Hiking!
Very well maintained facilities! Backcountry hiking experience was amazing, wild flowers, birds, swamps, lake, rivers, islands, gorgeous views all around! Don't underestimate the hike with a backpack on! :) Ask staff all the question before staring out to get a good understanding! Hope you have a fun time here!
This park is awesome. New renovated washrooms, great trails, lovely park staff and beautiful surroundings. My only complaint is that the firepits are small.
Words can't describe the beauty. On any hike travel 50m and the view changes to something more beautiful than before.
Kayaking 10 days from Rossport via Slate Islands along the coast completed our journey glorious Pukaskwa National Park
Gorgeous area! Loved the hiking trails- next time I'll pack a swim suit!
Amazing and absolutely stunning. Great hikes, scenery, and more. Perfect for kayaking and exploring. One of the best parks ever, went one summer and then came back the next because of how terrific it was. Make sure to do the Southern Headlands Trail.
This place was hard to find. The 18 km was a good experience
Camped here for three days. One of the most beautiful national parks in Canada I've been to. Camping is first come first serve. Park staff were friendly and helpful! Campers were also kind and everyone was really respectful of the park. The hiking was wonderful and not too strenuous. The weather was perfect. The nights were not as cold as I thought they would be since we were so close to the water. That being said, our tent and belongings were not damp at all since the sun dried everything off during the day. We travelled with someone who had accessible needs and the bathrooms and boardwalk trails were great for them! Definitely going back next year!
Terrific national park on north superior
No internetttt.... that means no Fortnite.
This is a hidden gem of a park. Much of the park is unmapped and offers true Canadian wilderness experience. From the hikes, you have panoramic clifftop views of turquoise Lake Superiorand beautifully sandy tropical beaches hidden. The amenities and facilities are v clean. A 12/10.
Beautiful National Park. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful country!
Lots of decent campsites and trails. There were bears in park. Good to canoe.
The facilities are top notch. Washrooms are cleaned multiple times a day. Campgrounds are quite and private. There isn't a lot of people but the trails are fun and enjoyable.
Amazing park! It really exceeded my expectations. The trails are gorgeous and you can spend the whole day exploring them. I didn't go to the longer trail until the bridge, maybe another time!
Beautifulllllll!!!
We stayed in an otentik for two nights. The units are still quite new and we're in very clean and excellent condition. The mattresses are very firm. BBQ was a huge asset and a wagon is provided to help move your gear. Lots of hiking nearby, nice beaches and great showers. A decent balance of access to wifi and ability to fully unplug if that's what you are looking for.
Great place
Great campground, clean facilities. I love the hiking trails. I didn't see any other people while I was here!! Loved it ♥️
Amazing sights. Great hiking trails, kayaking, beaches.
It's like being right in the middle of the postcard.
Friendly staff and good park info.
Great place
Gorgeous! Make sure you have time to hike and see everything. We will be back!
It's a great park for a multi-day hike and features wonderful and secluded campsites along the route.
Camped here in 2016 free to status
Really nice nature here... Probably the epitome of Lake Superior's natural ecosystems.
Great hiking with beautiful views along Lake Superior!
Beautiful landscapes and hiking. Simply breathtaking.
(Translated) Beautiful campsite, the sites are large and spaced out. The hikes offered offer very beautiful landscapes. The marathon town is not too far away, which makes camping a place that is not too secluded. The water is very clear but you don't have to be chilly to swim!
Went for backcountry camping at campsite CHF1 and 2. The hike to the suspension bridge was definitely moreso a moderate hike, with the first four km being harder, and the last 4 are easier with a more flat ground through a spruce bog. Site CHF 1 had decent tree coverage but limited view of the rapids. Site CHF 2 was a bit windy, but great views of the lake and rapids. The suspension bridge was well worth the trek unless you're scared of heights (like me). The bridge provides great views of the waterfall and rapids.
Just beautiful.
Amazing park. One of my favourite parks to hike in. Some amazing lookout views.
Pukaskwa National Park ????️
It's a hidden gem! If you want to experience the beauty of the lake Superior then this is the right place. Very beautiful campsites and not that crowded at all. Recommended!
Nice staff and a very beautiful place
Great facilities, the best washrooms and camp site we been so far in Ontario. Local trails around the campground are great. Though, the 18k hike to hook falls is not scenic at all besides 2 spots - the suspension bridge and the falls. Everything else is just forest..
Amazing park. Superior for multiple hiking trails and paddling route.
One of the best parks I've had the pleasure to visit! Absolutely stunning scenery
We got a beautiful campsite by the water. Unfortunately, it rained, but we still had a great time. The park is absolutely gorgeous! Would come back for sure.
Love the place! A nice uncrowded campground with showers. Fantastic scenery!
Hands down our favourite Parks Canada National Park in Canada. This is Ontarios only wilderness National Park and it is a must see for everyone. This hidden gem is worth the drive. From its big roomy + private campsites in Hattie Cove to the incredible hiking trails for all ages we could have easily spent two weeks here and not felt like we had spent enough time.
Highly recommended to those who love going outdoors and a nature lovers.
amazing place! Staff is insightful and helpful. Had an amazing experience on one of the White River backcountry campsites. Highly recommend checking out Pukaskwa if yoy have a chance!
Went for the day while waiting for my BnB check in and was not disappointed. Clean, well-maintained park. The Bay Beach front was stunning and you could see straight out into Lake Superior. You can swim at your own discretion too.
I got the chance to visit this magical park in the fall season with a group of 5 other friends. We fit comfortably in the Otentik & it was such an amazing experience. There is a wood stove in the tent, it kept us warm throughout the night. The only complaint I do have is that the beds are quite hard, so I would reccomend sleeping on a mat on top of the bed. Which is what me and my partner did! The two bottom bunks are spacious! The park provided the propane for ys to cook over the BBQ! It did rain so this was helpful because our fire was pretty smokey. There is a bear locker outside the otentik which i thought was a great idea! Unfortunately because it was the off season, the park guest services lounge/shop was closed. But the other amenities were still open (hot shower, bathroom, laundry). The facilities were clean! It felt so great to get off the trail and be able to take a nice warm shower (dont forget to pack your own flip flops & shower bag). I would definitely reccomend this park! The Otentiks were great! I woild definitely return, there are so many wonderful hiking trails. Be aware there is no cell phone service within the park, but I do believe that it makes the experience so much better ????
Beautiful campgrounds, very clean. Hikes 10/10
We did the Trail 'manito miikana', it was very beautiful. The view from the visitor centre is also georgious, we ate our lunch with the beautiful view and it was No problem. Also free wifi at a visitor centre is a Plus because we could plan the rest of our trip. The washrooms were very clean. Minors are the lack of brochures at the start of trails with explanations of the Trail and it surroundings. We encountered the use of it at other (provincial) Parks and are really fond of it. Also a Longer More challenging Trail would Be welcome. There is a huge gap between the short ones of 1-2,5 km and the one of 60km) But, the park is well maintained and the staff is very friendly!
Nice place
Awesome private sites and excellent hikes! Access to back country. WiFi in visitor centre. Interesting speakers. Amazing views of Lake Superior. They still had black flies in mid July! Bring bug repellent and jackets or you will be miserable. Beautiful beaches!
Beautiful
Highlight of 1,850 mile trip mostly around Lake Superior. This could definitely be a destination on its own. So many easy accessible hikes with stunning views. You can rent boats to use within the cove. Driftwood and rock coves are worth it. Camping facilities are well done. I wanted to wash the dishes using there great sinks with hot water and drying rack. We attended a great interpretive drum social that nicely introduced 1st Nation connection to where we were.
Nice trails
Big rocky trails that are slick to walk on but the climb puts you in a scenic spot with two big red Adirondack chairs where you can rest and take in the view. There are also flat, marshy trails and some that will take you to a view of Lake Superior where there is little done about removal of driftwood. We were only there a couple of hours and didn't have time to camp but would love to return and see more
great hiking trails with info stops and beautiful lookouts. campsite has hot shower and wifi (slow but at least it’s there in remote location!)
Beautiful and unforgettable. Hiking is not very demanding, but be prepared to navigate some steep inclines and descents. There are a lot of steps and walkways in the most difficult parts. Kudos to staff for keeping the facilities clean and in good state of repair.
We spent 5 days in July here and it was wonderful! Totally worth the long drive. Lots of trails to explore the surrounding, breathtaking views from the top of the hills, and deserted beaches with beautiful white sand and lots of drift wood. The water was really calm during our stay so it was perfect for our kids. Dog friendly.
Spectacular Views and Awesome experience. Worth Visiting. Good place. A review is not enough. This place is unforgettable. There are a number of backcountry campsites located along the 60 km Coastal Hiking Trail which follows the north shore of Lake Superior. Friendly staff. Simply Superb and Natural. This park is governed by Parks Canada. They're really awesome.
A great place for a winter ski
Amazing.
So beautiful, took my cat for hiking. But due to COVID they don’t have rental for canoe, quite disappointed. But view is so nice and well maintained.
An Ontario Natural Wonder <3
Great trails and natural views
Great park. Clean facilities. Amazing hikes. Every parks Canada staff member we encountered here was friendly.
Must visit location
We started coming to Puskaskwa before it was officially a park and we started out backpacking for many years before we started canoeing. It was an unequaled experience. Imagine having the park almost to yourself. Now it has become almost civialized but it is still a beautiful place.
Took my grandchildren for a short hike in the park, beautiful scenery. Going back for a hike to the falls. Jumped in the lake, cold but, refreshing. Had a great day and enjoyed the Pow Wow before we headed home.
Wild rugged and beautiful. I loved it!
Beautiful park with pristine water and beaches. Coastal trail is quite demanding but some of the shorter trails near the day use area are just as nice
Campground had some fantastic and private sites. Lots to do near by: interpretive center, short and long hiking trails, fine white sand beaches. Hikes for all ages. Our 3 and 5 year old enjoyed the 4 km loop (and did it all on foot) that had wild blueberries all along it and ended at a beach with crystal clear water we all went swimming in. Great views as the trails goes up and down over the rocks.
This is the best place for hiking and even canoeing if its a calm day. The prices to camp are very reasonable and the park is kept very clean.
Stunningly beautiful place!
Beautiful. The suspension bridge hike was great. Took us just under 5 hours including chill time. Camp sites were pretty private.
My friends and I went up for a little under a week, not exactly knowing what to expect. All I can say is that we were not disappointed. The park and all facilitates are extremely clean. All other campers were very friendly and kind. The staff at the visitor center, front kiosk, and elsewhere throughout the camp were extremely helpful, thoughtful, and kind. Pukaskwa is a great place to visit and I highly recommend it for all ages looking for wholesome fun. Will be definitively coming back again.
The waters and views of this park cannot be described in words. It makes so much sence why the group of seven painted this scenic area. The sunsets on these beaches are un real. A paddlers dream.

Amazing spot, with great hikes!
Beautiful back country and car camping spot. Great beaches and shorter hikes for day use! 10/10 will visit again.
Really beautiful place
Excellent park, I went when it was closed/not maintained and I had to walk 2km to get to the trails and camping sites. But it was amazing, especially the southern headland trail.
#3 most difficult trail in Canada, unless it rains.. then it's a whole new experience
I found the park to be nice and all, but it was the pukaskwa fire crew that really blew me away. Not only were they good looking, but they protected us against forest fires and were super professional while doing so. The fire tech was a little bit of an odd duck... but overall it was a fantastic experience. The fire crew definitely doesn't get enough credit!

Must see. À dream like national park
Awesome ...well marked hiking trails overlooking Lake Superior. Friendly staff great campsites.
Good place to go to. Need a lots of time to do hiking. So start early.
Take the time to do some backpacking here. Sleep my the bridge. Worth it!
Heavenly!!
Most beautiful hiking trail!!!
Beautiful park. The staff are great and the campsites and comfort stations at Hattie Cove are nice and clean. This was our first visit, and we will definitely return.
Super helpful and friendly park ranger at a slice of heaven on Earth. Most hikes were good for families. Will need to return for the longer, more challenging hikes when the kids are older.♥️
What a breathtaking place! I did not expect the trails to be so beautiful and so scenic. The trails are fairly easy and well-marked; or you can pretty much climb the rocks at your own pace and discretion and you will end up at the same spot. For those interested in art, one of the trails takes you to the beautiful Horseshoe Beach, which was used in one of the Group of Seven paintings. If you get a chance and before visiting this place, google the meaning behind the word “Puskaskwa” and “Pukasu” for an interesting revelation.
Great place to camp! The beach is absolutely gorgeous at dusk and dawn.
Hattie Cove campground has well-separated sites with lots of privacy. The short trails nearby are very scenic. For backpacking, the Coastal Trail is outstanding!
We enjoyed 2 days on trails. Suspension bridge was worth to see. But it was not easy at all.
Fantastic place. Beautiful. Camping area is clean and campsites are large and mostly isolated from other campsites. Great hiking, in the woods or along the shoreline. Beaches separated by rock outcroppings are uncrowded and gorgeous. One of the nicest places I have ever been.
The park, campground and beach are second to none. There is no better park anywhere.
Dont make inappropriate jokes or you might have a really long and awkward hike. Nice trails though
Sighhhh...places like this are SO hard to leave. Our first visit to Lake Superior was breathtaking, and life changing...no exaggeration. We stayed at the Hattie Cove campground, South Loop, at site #30 and were 3 sites away to the left from the boardwalk beach trail to Horsehoe Bay - stunning, and 3 sites away to the right from the canoe/kayak launch. We kayaked Hattie Cove, and a LITTLE wee bit into the lake...coastal paddling definitely for more experienced than I, but it was absolutely amazing. Pictures and words do not do this place justice...please just go and discover for yourself. Ask us anything, we'd be happy to share tips!
Great hiking trails, clean facilities, very helpful staff
Amazing park, no phone reception, beautiful hikes!

The Mdaabii Miikna backcountry camping trails are rough, but hikers will be rewarded with beautiful views. The weather along Lake Superior is extremely variable so be prepared for anything! This trail is good for an intermediate to advanced level.
Beautiful place to hike-nature at its finest!
