The views are beautiful, especially at sunset. Such a big, unrestricted view of the sky. The parking was almost nightmarish with being rammed packed with cars, bikes, dogs and people when we came. The playground area was pretty much the same, there were definitely more than 70 people in that one area and more than half weren't taking any covid precautions at all. Kids running all over the jungle gym and playground equipment like nothing was going on...I might come back at some time when things die down and get back to whatever normal was..

Nice beach can be busy at times. Best playground for kids, there is something for every age group. I loved it when I was a kid, all 4 of my kids have loved it. My recent visit proved that it's still a favorite with kids. Best bathroom facilities around or neck and neck with Mt Doug beach. Easy beach to navigate if you have mobility issues. Overall great place to comes with the whole family there us something for everyone.

The sea serpent is a glorious blast from the past and helps me relive a beloved piece of my childhood. Yet the beauty of the area helps anchor my appreciation for this beach firmly in the present. Worth a visit on a warm summer evening.

Nice sheltered bay for swimming, the beach is not too rocky. There’s a great playground for kids and grassy areas for play as well as numerous picnic tables and benches. Parking during the week is pretty easy, but I’d imagine the lot gets pretty full on weekends. There are shops just before the entrance so you can stock up on items for a picnic right there or grab a coffee for your stroll. The picnic washrooms were as clean as would be expected for a park, not too bad at all.

Wonderful place to have fun as a family or with friends. The zip line in my opinion is the most enjoyable attraction in the park. Big open field perfect for kite flying on breezy summer days. Parking can be a drawback as this place is popular for outdoor birthday parties and gatherings so plan ahead!

This place on earth has a sentimental value in my heart ❤️. It reminds me when i was a student at UVIC. This Tiny beach piece from the paradise! Filled with kids, UVIC students, and elderly.

Fun place for the whole family. Right on the beach if you want to check out the water. Playground is a blast for a wide range of kids. My daughter especially liked the zip line.

Excellent, we'll managed park & playground. Absolutely love walking this soft sandy beach. Such beautiful driftwood everywhere, sailboats. Gorgeous! Also markets nearby for your picnic and washrooms too. Mostly polite and well mannered local dog owners too.

Love Gyro Beach! There's a wonderful playground, zip line, washrooms, dog friendly area, and the beach/sand is lovely, and tons of parking and green space. Enjoy!!!

Great park for all ages! Clean bathrooms, water refill station. Right beside the beach but far enough from the water so your little ones can't make a break for it!

It's a very nice place for everyone, even the pets to go for a day and just relax and take in the views and the park for the kidlets is great too! Fun for all

Such a nice park on the water. Lots of kids, groups snd families. I lived the boats, beach, sand sculptures and the sidewalk mural being made. Great benches for weak woman like me.

It’s a great park but every time we’re here it’s always so windy. It’s a hot summer day (July 1) but we still need to wear a long sleeve outfit to keep ourselves warm. I’m sure it’s one of the popular places that kids will visit near Victoria so sometimes it can be busy. Parking lot is right beside the playground.

Great park and fantastic playground fo the kiddos parking lit is very muddy so wear your rubber boots!

A fantastic place!!! Excellent swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing. There's delicious food trucks most of the time. A fun playground for kids. A public washroom. And you can watch the boats / sailing schools! Also a great place to see some friendly Seals if you're out in the water and lucky :)

Beautiful beach with sand and driftwood logs. Classic northwest beach. Great to picnic, walk, or play with your doggies. This a gorgeous place to spend some time! Cute pub and coffee place nearby.
