Gorgeous spot for walks, picnics, and photos, plus it's not super busy.

Jamie MacQuarrie

Nice spot for a picnic by the water but also an interesting site due to its historical significance.

Aldon Brewer

A great place for a picnic by the ocean. When the tides go out you can walk out on the old pilings they were making for the Chigencto Ship Railway. Also, there is a trail head near the parking area that leads along the old rail bed to a suspension bridge near Tidnish Bridge. About an hour from the park to the bridge and back. Cannot recommend this place enough. A gem.

Great place to stroll on the beach and search for pieces of the long ago Chignecto Ship Railway. Swimming is just ok but this is a beautiful location

Mae Fredericks

We have a cottage next to the park. Beautiful and worthy of your time. Out from the rocks you can see a natural seal show twice a day when the tide is out. Don't go too close and scare them. The large black birds sit on top of the seals and clean them. The water is very warm in the summer and on hot ways the oceans water is like bath water. When the tide is out you can walk for miles over the beaches. You can walk over the sand about 1000 feet of more. Very very beautiful area of Nova Scotia. Warmest Atlantic beaches in East Canada.. Northumberland Straight. Come and enjoy.

Domenico Lucinio

SR Cooper (TheOrangeCat)

This beautiful park is always so quiet and the beach is lovely. At high tide it's a great place to collect rocks and shells and have a picnic, and at low tide there is a nice big stretch of sandy beach to walk. It is very well maintained. There are change rooms and portable toilets.

Never too busy lots of room to spread out, water is warm, pack a lunch and enjoy your day

Charlene Doughty

Great place to see gray seals this time of year!

Mark McKinnon

This is a good beach with washrooms and change rooms. There is running water to clean off (do not drink). Biggest issue is the amount of rocks on the beach. It makes it really hard to go swimming. You would have to walk out a long ways for no rocks. Other then the rocks it is a very nice and quiet beach.

David M

A great beach to see some seals on the rocks.

Shannon Grant-Henderson

Rocky but quiet peaceful beach

Perfect place on the Amherst Shore. The end of what was to be the Ship Railway project, you can still see what's left of the docks when the tides out. (it's not much, just broken brick and rocks) Perfect spot to picnic, swim or lay out on the grass cliffs for sun. Washrooms and change rooms onsite. There is a walking trail nearby too.

Graham Conway

I love it there !! Our cottage is close to there so we are there every summer!

Early engineering marvel, or at least it would have been. Nice spot for a picnic too
