If you have never tried gold panning here's a place where you can learn about and get out on the beach and try for yourself. You can also go exploring the caves or rent kayaks and do some kayaking. great spot to camp as well.

I booked a campsite online. They sent me a confirmation overcharging me by 20%. When I asked for a refund of the difference, they asked me to hang on while they checked with management. No further word until the day before arrival when they cancelled my booking.

Scenery is great. Admission fee is 10.dollars. The walk is about 40 minutes.

I would have given 3.5 if able. Nice day. Place is kept clean. My rating is based on cost per person for what they have available is too high. At $10 per adult I found not worth it. Should be priced by car @ $10. Walk along top of Ovens last approx 20 min. Worker told us 45 min - you would have to stop and sit for long periods of time to come close to 45 min. Restaurant open for takeout, store does not allow people inside. Bathrooms were clean. Pretty area, but expensive for 20 min walk along shoreline.

Absolutely love this seaside campground. The staff were great, the nightly music amazing, and can find gold right on the beach!

Steep price for a 45min trail. Not too busy, but we took out time and were still done in under an hour. Nice views, but still left disappointed.

I have never in my life have to pay $11.50 to go into a camp ground to visit my family. Then they charge for every little thing. And the washrooms were disgusting. They need to be looked after more then what they were. And to top it off I had to move my tent from beside my parents camper cause it was blocking the view of the ocean, but yet across the road was a open field and yet to top it off behind us were campers so close together that you could pass sugar back and forth and 1 camper had a blue tarp up which totally blocks the view from 2 other sites. Never ever again will I visit this camp ground nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.

My cabin got doubled booked and I was only able to have it for one evening, it was disappointing so I spoke with the manager. She went above and beyond to accommodate me and the 2 kids by giving us a cabin that was more spacious, (indoor toilet and shower) for no extra cost because of the mix up. I visit there every year with my son as our mother and son tradition. Each year and we're always treated well, we love it there. So thanks to the manager and staff of the ovens. Gillian Nauss

I visited this area probably 5 years ago with a friend who wanted to check it out for camping, To me it felt run down. I was there last week to meet up with family for a hike, and the place still feels like it's run down. I will say the interaction with the staff was very pleasant, and they were very knowledgeable on the rules and procedures for dealing with the Covid 19.
