Overall this is a great little up and coming park. Has a playground area and some beautiful flower gardens. Awesome gazebo and trellis area. Park is still in progress so still some wet muddy areas and areas that need sodding. However while we were there we walked over to a mosaic area where there was large mosaic art pieces displayed only to walk up on a lady squatting and using the washroom on the ground...right there near the play area for the children. So advice would be to definately put in some public restrooms as soon as possible to avoid this in the future. So FYI park goers...beware the wooded area near the mosaics....eeek I am sure in future months when work is completed it will be close to a 5 star property with some work.

Cute ... I had a puff and walked around... Ive wanted to check that Gazeebo out for a long time... The park has more to offer tho... I played around on some of the outdoor fitness equiptment and enjoyed my simple stonermind be amused...its cool for jus a quick chill spot or lunch break... Maybe a make out spot i dunno sup yo yall ...me diggs it tho!!! Ps... Cameras? In gazeebo.... Thank gawd for the hooded picnictable spot or also... The cool arbour with benches.... Just piece of grease for ya

Every Monday from 5 - 7 pm the salvation army and some volunteer's help the homeless people or less fortunate people to have a hot meal and some warm clothes that are free to all information on where to get help through the streets warming program everyone is welcome !

Beautiful park with a memorial to the miners. Lovely walking trails, a children’s playground and a great place to walk the dog. We came her for the miners memorial and found a really lovely park. This was also the location for a memorial to the old tram cars of Westville. They have picnic table throughout so you could stay for a wonderful picnic if you so choose.

Beautiful to walk around and great playground. Clean and always has people tending to park. Walking area is small bit pretty flowers and tressmake it nice and welcoming. Great to read a book or have an afternoon picnic.

Super nice park for walks. Has great walking paths, nice little playground and a new splash pad! There is a pond in the middle when you can watch the muskrat and ducks. Great place to take an evening stroll as the paths are general kept clear and clean all year round.

We sat and ate our lunch here enjoying the quiet spring rain in the car. Despite the rain you could feel the trails through the park calling out for walkers to come and enjoy the greenery. New playground for kids and public restrooms.

Always a fun park to bring the kids to. As long as there aren't teenagers smoking weed in the gazebo or running without watching where they are going. Oh and the random redneck kids who's parents are either wasted or on their phone the whole time.

We went to the Sackville tree lighting for the first time yesterday - it was really nice! Hot dogs, hot chocolate, cookies, a live band - we had a really nice time! The trees look beautiful all lit up in the park. Only recommendation is that the sidewalks in the park be tidied up or salted a bit more.

Great place to take kids to play, to just sit and enjoy the beautiful gardens or even take a first date. The paths are a great place to just aimlessly walk around chat, or sit on one of the many benches or picnic tables. Acadia Park is a beautiful spot to visit and is a must for anyone looking to take in the view and slow down for a few minutes.

This park is ok ...it gives a bit of information about the mine accident wich is kinda cool ...nice little pond but no ducks and the trail does not go a circuit around the park ...nice little place to kill time when your waiting for the drive in theatre to open ....gonna go see f 9

Nice accessible park. 2 small issues: 1- the only way to the bigger slides was to climb which makes it harder for younger kids to access the slides, 2 - I did not see any regular swings, only baby swings. Otherwise a great park.

Awesome place for anyone! Playground is great for all ages and even has new accessible swings for those with developmental or mobility issues. The trail is gravel but still very doable with a stroller or rollator style walker or wheelchair. Winter maintenance isn't so much there, but in the spring they do fix up the trails. Beautiful plants that are well cared for all growing season and several trees planted by local groups and businesses or in memory of people from the community. They have a few benches throughout too and a couple of picnic tables. In the centre they have a built up hill with a cute gazebo on top. You would never know it used to be ball fields. Relaxing and calm space while fun and exciting for children.

Nice little park for a Sunday afternoon stroll. Lovely perennial beds.

The kids enjoyed running along the gravel walkway through the garden areas. It is a short trail with some nice flowers and trees, some had plaques with the species of plant. Large grassy area for picnic blankets, a few picnic tables and park benches. The benches are position well to be able to sit and watch the kids play. The playground was large with multiple slides and climbing obstacles good for both the younger children and older kids. The bigger kids swings appeared to be under construction. Small water fountain near the entry to the playground. There are small wooden boats floating in the water and the kids enjoyed playing with them. (Kudos to whoever made them) The park appeared to be a popular place for people and their dogs. There was a disposal bin for dog waste near the garbage cans. We weren't able to find washroom facilities in the park but the Library nextdoor, 2 minute walk away, was open. We would definitely return to this park for another fun time. We would be hesitant on extremely busy days as parking could be an issue.
