Went to this park for the first time for a work fun afternoon BBQ. Beautiful place and we got our own little house to set up our food in. I would give it a 5 rating if they had toilets with flush toilets ..outhouses gross me out. There is a beach and people were swimming and paddle boating when I was visited. Lovely place and I am guessing it is packed jammed on the weekends and when it is hot out.

My first time in Yellowknife and this was the 1st place we saw so we decided to set up camp here. Great place to camp. They have showers, plug ins if needed BUT no one should need that while out camping, SERIOUSLY! Anyway, a must stay for sure. We will return. ????

Nice campsites. Very private and well looked after. Very close to town which is nice but you will hear noise from the airport which is just across the road. Very nice, shallow beach for swimming. Could use some more showers and flush toilets.

Is it the nicest camping spot in NWT? No. Is it within city limits which allows you to get groceries, hit the liquor store, work in the city, etc. while still camping? Yes. Five stars for convenience.

Beautiful park handy to the city. Most sites are lovely, although a few tenting sites are just rocks with no table or firepit. Can be a bit noisy because of proximity to be airport.

Basically the only place to camp in Yellowknife. You can walk into downtown from here but it takes around an hour. The campground is huge with lots of privacy between sites. The is only one set of showers and flush toilets but they are situated near the front entrance, the rest are pit toilets located throughout the campground. Staff is excellent and they do have free WiFi in the camp entrance building.

Can be a little noisy as it's a fairly busy park, nicest thing though is camp spots are generally well separated, not stacked side by side like so many others.

Pro tip. If you need to go to the bathroom and hate the pit toilets, go to the shower complex, they have great(real) water flushing toilets. Showers cost a loonies for a few minutes. The camp sites are spread out better than most camp areas. The noise is not too bad from the other people...but the airport may keep you up (bring ear plugs). If you are tenting make sure to get a site with a platform.

Only RV park in area. Nice spots, but sloped so couldn't get our rig completely level. Pit toilets and had to ask to get them cleaned. Huge pot holes right at entrance to park that could ruin your rig especially if someone coming in the oposite direction and you can't swerve around them. Spead bumps on roads a great idea. We had a young boy trying to get into our trailer so be sure you leave your rv and vehicles locked at all times. Not sure we would ever come here again
