Very nice park space. Perfect for any function. Beware of the poison ivy. There are signs posted. Beautiful get away to enjoy nature
I visited this amazing peaceful place with my family today. We enjoyed walking through the trail while enjoying soothing nature and smelling fragrances coming out from running streams and various plants. It is worthy to go there and feel how all living beings are connected.
Lots of trails for bikes and walking. A very nice place to be close to nature!
Went on a 3 hour walk over here. It’s fun to get lost walking through the trails. 10/10 would recommend if you haven’t been.
Beautiful well maintained trails. Busy on weekends even this late in October although the weather has been pretty amazing lately. Great for a run, plus it's connected to Edwards Gardens.
A lovely park really close to the city. Take a picnic blanket and basket and go get some fresh air.
Such a peaceful place right in the heart of the city!! Great place to go with family for a stroll, jog, cycling, picnic etc. The adjoining Edwards park is very aesthetically designed and is a delight for photographers and Instagrammers
beautiful views all year round ☺️
great view here, Love this place .
Careful when you stray onto a bike path, otherwise relatively straight forward paths that connect back to itself
Wilket Creek Park is well-known for its mature coniferous and deciduous forest communities. Depending on soil moisture, light, and orientation of the ravine slopes, mature stands of Eastern Hemlock, Sugar Maple, American Beech, Red Oak and Hop Hornbeam thrive along the valley walls. Moist marshes and groundwater seeps that flow towards the creek provide the dampness needed by the ferns, cattail marshes and wet scrub communities along the floodplain. A diversity of species may be found within the valley including such rare plants as Canada Sicklepod, Snakerood, and New York Fern. Some uncommon bird species have also visited here as a stop-off point during seasonal migrations. This narrow, winding ravine has also benefitted from a number of wildflower plantings and natural regeneration projects.
Very nice trek for walk
Great all-around city park. Spaces for family picnics, etc. Not sure if any play structures. My wife's running series - Toronto Women's Runs - is based out of this park.
Good park for spending time with family
Amazing place to walk with the babbling creek flowing.
I love the scenery. So peaceful and you can hear birds singing up in the trees. The air is so cool and fresh. Just love it.❤❤❤
Really beautiful place. Lots of bridges, paved pathways and wild life. Saw some nice squirrels, birds and ducks. The pathways or big enough to maintain social distancing. Great for families, couples, self adventure, biking, walk with …
Big park with lots of place for different sports
The City of Toronto has done a tremendous job of landscaping and path development within Wilket Creek Park (which is located between Edwards Gardens to the North and Sunnybrook Park to the South and West). Construction is ongoing in the Fall of 2018. The completed sections are beautiful in every season particularly with the bridge crossings. My favourite season here is Fall and it's a great convenient spot to see the colours at their peak. The path is winding but pretty much flat once you walk down into the valley at Edwards Gardens (where you can also find lots of free parking). Washrooms are located at either end of the park but the south ones are not open year round. See you out there! Update October 2019: Always beautiful for fall colours with its winding creek and crossing path. And if you see a racoon during daylight hours that also does not avoid people then stay away from it especially if you have your dog with you.
Nice little park between parks. Visit it alone or as a pass through on a hiking trip
Awesome park with a very comfortable trail to walk your dog or a short run.
Stunning park with lots of trails.
Great park in the city. Best time of year is in the fall. September and October the tree are full colours. A short walk to the Toronto Botanical Gardens. Enjoy the stunning flowers. Nature at its best. ❤️❤️. What a beautiful park in the winter. The snow makes it like a winter wonderland. See my picture which I downloaded. Also this year the washroom is opened in the winter months.
Wilket Creek Park is situated just north of E.T. Seton Park on the West Branch of Don River. The hiking trails are a little bit smaller and more adventurous as nature is more dense and savage. This park offers the perfect escape from the big city life while only being a short drive away from downtown Toronto.
Wilket Creek Park is one of my very favorite parks in the GTA and definitely worth traveling to even if you don't live nearby. It has almost everything I look for when choosing an ideal park to visit. It is quite large with a nice amount of trails to keep you interested. The forest is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. Plus, the adjacent meandering creek is awesome. I haven't ever seen it too crowded, but maybe I've just been lucky. The extensive amount of trails in the park are highly enjoyable, but they also take you to other parks in the area too.
Calm place. Great place if you like to travel alone and breath fresh.
In a word: beautiful. Serene. There's often something happening. Lots of volunteers working there, and that tells you something. Preserved nature.
Loved this place. The hike is quite short but the views are great all year around. I love the autumn views. One of the best in the cities and the place is very peaceful. It's right close to Edward's Garden
It's a gorgeous close to the Victoria Day long weekend! A comfortable 20 degrees Celsius & beautiful sunshine for taking a relaxing nature walk in a City of Toronto park. This beats being in traffic coming back from the cottage on the busy GTA highways, unless you happen to own a cottage! Pay and display parking is $2.50 per hour with a two hour limit. Enforcement is 24/7 as per the posted signage. Huge trees, flowers, Wilket Creek, wildlife, bridges and paved pathways zig zag throughout the forested parkland. The only annoying thing are cyclists buzzing park goers on foot. Yes, we all have to co-exist in our enjoyment of this green space but mine the 2-metre social distancing rules.
I passed by this beautiful park and friends and families were gathering for BBQ and picnic. Lovely park in the city.
This is a beautiful walk in any season. Creeks and bridges and natural beauty everywhere. And the paved path is a great bonus over any natural trail.
Such beautiful scenery! The creek, the trees, the bridges....fall is a great season to visit.
Fantastic place for a relaxing walk or a nice bike ride. Natural and full of wildlife!
The city has done well to make this a nice place to walk, ride or just sit and admire nature. Fall colours are nice.
Beautiful place to be in touch with nature. The Fall colors are spectacular.
There are slightly steep entry/ exit points to get to the long trail of the park. But it is worth it, it is so beautiful to follow the water walking, running or biking along the well maintained paved trail. There you can see lots of wildlife, trees and flowers. There are also lots of romantic wooden bridges that help take you across the babbling creek. Additionally, there are many places where you can have a picnic, sit on benches, or sit on the grass and just look around. Currently Southern Ontario is having a outbreak of an invasive species, the gypsy moth. There are millions of them feasting on tree leaves stripping the trees bare. I hope that this infestation doesn't cause too much damage to the trees and the habitat. If you like my reviews, videos or photos creek your thumbs up.
Lovely trail especially if you hike off path. It was more beautiful with the autumn colours ????
Nice trails and few other parks near by that good for family outings
Lots of parking space and long enough trails????????
Great for enjoying nature when the park is not busy during the week. Path for walking or jogging along the stream. Visit during fall to see the variety of Fall colors.
A great park that makes you feel like you're not in the city with it's nice smells, sights and sounds. Good to visit year round for a walk, jog, run or bike ride.
Great fall background. Nice weather and great place to spend weekend.
Very pleasant to have a leisure walk during Fall color change.
Beautiful place to go for a run or just a nice walk. Nice scenery , beautiful trails and lots of wildlife . There are BBQ pits and picnic tables. There is also a Dog park at end of road near the horse stables.
Great places! Arrived earlier and will have less people
Beautiful scenery and flowers. It was so peaceful walking through it.
Good place for a walk but can be very crowded on weekends and holidays. Also there isn’t much shade while walking unless you go into the woodsy areas like the Thomson trail but then there’s lots of elevation. Also note Gypsy moth caterpillars are quite present because of the current infestation cycle in Ontario. If you don’t like them, avoid!
Great for walking or biking.a wide path which leads to Edward Gardens.not sure about wheelchair access to Edward gardens due to construction there.
Beautiful course, in busy park. Sheltered in valley so little wind. Baskets are a bit spitty, but all good. Fellow players helpful in figuring out layout first time.
I went to the park this morning, the parking is on Leslie side enter from a narrow road. Inside the Wilket Creek park, there is not any proper trail, there is no sign or map can see around. However, outside the parking lot there are few signs show the washroom facility and few more walking trails and Parks around. Such as Sunnybrook park and Edward Garden next to it. It is a big area to walk around. Picnic area is available. Most of the path are paved except the bike trail.
