Must stop.

Jaime Lee

Worth a stop if your nearby. This is a very dramatic shoreline here.

My wife and I traveled to NL in 2013. My first time to the big rock and had a great time. We came this place on our second day.We spent about two weeks rooming around NL saw a lot of nice places. Went out to see the big bergs. Eat lobster and sea food. Sure like the ice berg beer and wished I could buy in BC. Stupid inter provincial liquor laws.

Beuatiful park, great scenery. Be prepared for the weathher- on the beaches and coves, it might be colder (and more windy) than it is further inland. I bet it must be beautiful in the summer! Beware of the ice in the cold season! The caves are slippery! Otherwise, very enjoyable

10min stop. Easy access from the highway. Great stop to break up the long coastal drive. You could do it in <10 mins if you're in a rush and just want to stretch the legs. Washroom on site too. Parking lot is ~200 from the highway and there's a short boardwalk down to the rocks. Arches are interesting to walk through. Surrounded by colourful rocks. I recommend wearing enclosed shoes if you plan to walk around on the rocks.

(Translated) In a small provincial park, there are popular science knowledge on the terrain formation here. The trees on the seaside are blown into a scorched and fallen piece by the wind, indicating that this is a coast that is blown by strong winds all year round. (Translated) A perfect place for a road break. The arches are beautiful and we observe the effect of erosion and wear on the rocks. They are all round and there are several formations of devil's pots. There are also very special sets of plants. A site to see in more or less 1 hour.

Really gorgeous views. The arches weren't quite what I was expecting but I still had a great time. If it hadn't been so insanely windy I would have enjoyed having a nice picnic there. We did go back for sunset which was spectacular - sunset right through the arches. I highly recommend this for anyone in the area. THe only downside is that there's no camping allowed there, which is sort of understandable since it's a pretty small space that would probably be overrun by campers.

It’s a unique rock formation not far from the main road. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Dennis Zheng

It’s a beautiful area, but if you go before 5/15 all those arches will be covered by snow and do not attempt to go down to the beach, it’s easy down but very difficult to come back if snow is present.

As an American it is easy to see why this was made a Provincial Park, these formations, which will not last forever---though sea level rise might get to them before the process of erosion does---a great spot to stop on the long drive north to stretch your legs and take in some of Newfoundland's Great Northern Peninsula's abundant natural beauty.

The arches are incredible and it's a great spot for a rest stop, directly off the highway. I have seen it noted as a picnic spot, but would beg to differ. Though there are picnic tables available, there is no protection from the wind here.

One of my favorite provincial parks in existence. One can spend hours hear, relaxing by the water and appreciating the unique geological formation. The weathered rocks and serene environment make this place truly special. One of my favorites in Newfoundland! A great stop en route to the Labrador ferry!

Shelsea Saint-Fleur

Worth the detour if you go to Western Brook Pond! We were unsure if it was worth doing the 30 minutes driving but had no regrets when we got there. There are some tables if you want to eat but there's a lot of wind.

Just one of the many scenic stops along the west coast drive going north. Nice little place to take a break, collect nice rocks with your kids, have a snack, or take some pictures. The arches themselves are cool to look at. Just one section of a beautiful family drive.

Betony Morrison

If you like geology or just like cool looking rocks, this quick stop is a must. 1 minute off the Trans Canada Highway, the limestone formations are really neat. Adventurers could climb on top if you have some good footwear and adrenaline. If you prefer to stay grounded the pebbles on the shore under the arches are incredibly beautiful. I could have beach combed all day there. Didn't get 5 stars because although it is free to go in, the washrooms are just drop toilet style outhouses that were in desperate need of attention.

Sheri Evangelene

Rosemary Burton

Just love the view and how clean it was in the parking area

An absolutely beautiful stop along your trip. No services are available, and only outhouses but it is beautiful. You should take the time to walk around, stretch your legs along your way, and enjoy the glacier history of this beautiful park. It is usually windy but it can be a great picnic spot, too.

This is a challenge to rate because of what some people might expect. This is not so much a 'Park' as it is 'just' an interesting rock formation to see. That being said , it is a VERY interesting formation to see and I'm glad it is a provincial park and not a private park charging admission. This is worth a stop if you're close to the area. We were near by and went despite the clouds and rain showers. My teens were keen to climb up on the arches and it seemed safe enough to for climbing so I went with them. What you see in the photos is all there is. It is a nice place to stop and picnic just don't expect it to be something you would spend hours at. It is very neat. We were in Cow Head , on a nice day I would probably make the drive from say Western Brook Pond , or Broom Point to see the Arches.
