The staff are very friendly and the campsites on the pond have an amazing view. The sites don't have a lot of privacy but they are very spacious. It's a great relaxing getaway.

Troy Fudge

Beautiful campground. Very private sites with tons of trees. Outhouses were the nicest I've ever seen! Unfortunately the campground was full of large trailers running noisy generators or loud music the whole time we were there.

A good place to stop for a picnic if in the area. We did not stay at the park, so I cannot comment on that aspect.

The campgrounds here are well-maintained. I've stayed here with family on a number of occasions and would highly recommend it to others.

Mick Shea

Nice campsite, a short pull through for our vehicle, nice grassy spot next to the water for the picnic table, fire pit and our tent. The only problem is the drinking water needs to be boiled before using, it's disappointing the parks can't provide drinkable water.

Kyle Petten

Best campground we have visited to date. We had a site by the barasway which didn't have electrical service but did have water hookup. We knew this before coming so we were prepared. We were in site 55 and it was amazingly private and spacious. Our picnic table broke a leg when we laid our cooler on it but we didn't intend to use it anyway so we were just going to advise them on check out however one day we were out for a drive and when we got back out tae had been replaced. Great staff!

I absolutely loved it here. I stayed for Tuesday and Wednesday nights, went to Pippy park in st John's for what was supposed to be two nights, but I hated it so much I left early and went back to Frenchman's cove for the last two nights of my trip. The staff are super friendly and super helpful. The bathrooms are immaculate, the campsites are well kept and private, lots of outhouses along the roads and drinking and cleaning water. The town of frenchman's cove itself it such a beautiful, quaint little place. And the neighbouring town of Garnish is just gorgeous, as well. They have the friendliest staff and most delicious homemade ice cream. I honestly can't say enough good thing about my stay in Frenchman's Cove. I can't wait to come back next summer. It's very reasonably priced. I even loved it there more so than the campsites in my hometown at the northern end of Gros Morne national park. Highly highly recommend to anyone, wether it's an RV or a tent. You will love it here. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

A very uninteresting campground. No potable water. Most sites are a very long walk from the restrooms. Decent degree of privacy. Somewhat difficult to find as road signage is minimal.

(Translated) Very large wooded pitches, woods but wc suitable for entry. Attention generators are allowed from 8am to midnight and many use it as well as radios ... (Original) Très grands emplacements boisés, bécosses mais wc convenables à l'entrée. Attention on permet les génératrices de 8h à minuit et plusieurs s'en servent de même que les radios...

I think the rules should be upheld better. Love the park but people keep music on and party way into the night. Seems like the rules are not upheld like in all other provincial parks. I have camped in butterpot and in Norte Dame and have had no trouble with noise . This year we camped in july and in August and the same thing happened. We had two small kids with us and we were awake until 3 in the morning. The warden did come over in July when we went and got him and the noise stopped but that was 4 in the morning. This past weekend we went about 1 and the warden came and the music stopped for about 10 minutes, then started again.Anybody visiting from out of province would be shocked over that behavior. We were talking to one couple who said they didn't think they would ever camp there again at least on the weekend. Sad to go away with that impression.

(Translated) Nice campsite, but no regulations on noise, generators work very late, and parties are common. I had a very bad night enraged !!!! I will never go back !!!!! Yvon Leclerc Blainville Qc. (Original) Beau camping, mais aucun règlement sur le bruit, les génératrices marchent très tard, et les partys sont fréquents. J'ai passé une très mauvaise nuit enragé !!!! Jamais je n'y retournerai !!!!! Yvon Leclerc Blainville Qc.

Nice and clean, very helpful park staff and the sites are well kept. Only complaint is that people are not asked to turn their generators off at night (some sites had them running all night, others only until 3 am) which makes for a noisy sleep if your in a tent. Don't think I would make the trip again.
