Best provincial park on the island. Beautiful camping sites, surrounding a large pond. Only downsides are, no services at the park and the flies are brutal in the summer. Bring fly dope!

Absolutely stunning park (But bring your bug spray). Lots of sites, some with plenty privacy and others not but it wasn’t very busy considering it was beautiful. The staff were super friendly as well. Apparently the hiking is incredible and once our toddlers are a bit bigger, we will definitely be checking that out.

Will Winter

Great place if you like lighthouses. Kitchen to use helps too

John Belbeck

A great starting point to see Newfoundland after the ferry crossing. About two north of the Port. Great camping sites along the lake. No serviced sites (eg water, power or sewer) but fresh water available on arrival. Wildlife abundant - moose, birds, frogs and beaver about. Climb Mt Erin, just spectacular. Phone service on site is sketchy and no wifi, just lovely camping.

Daniel Tobin

One of the nicest provincial parks in Newfoundland and Labrador. Bring fly repellant. Showers on site . Option to buy firewood or to bring your own . You must book online , this park fills up during the summer so it's recommended to book early .

We camped for one night, and it's a gorgeous spot, but the noise of generators for RVs until 11 at night was really disappointing.

Only gave 2 stars because there's no water in the camping area. Website and maps for the camping areas show water tap but none to be found. Had to wait all the way to the comfort station.

My favorite camping spot, I go every year

James Durnford

Love this park. The massive trees provide a great sense of separation from your neighbors and more of a feeling that you are camping in the woods proper. A mama moose and her baby are hanging out this summer and seem quite content ????. Lots of photo opportunities. The pond provides a few activities for those who are interested, like swimming, fishing, kayaking, or lounging on on of the beaches around it.

The sites are beautiful and very private. However, water is available only at comfort station which is 3-4 km away from the sites.

Really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful park staff. The campground was full when we got there, but we were able to stay in the overflow area which was also next to the lake and had running water close by. Warm lake. Great for paddling.
