REVIEWS OF Sapperton Landing Park IN New Westminster

T. Gracchus

Sneaky little boardwalk , and seawall along the mighty Fraser. Check out the plaque naming all the mountains in the far of range. Knowledge is power

Alvin Barrera

Perfect place to relax, picnic or just enjoying the view of the Fraser river. You can also fish here. Parking is available.

N H

Park on Cumberland St and cross E Columbia St to get to the entrance. There is lots of street parking available in this neighborhood. This park is literally part of the Brunette-Fraser Greenway and IS part of a regional bike path. So the review of "NOT a bicycle path" is wrong; it absolutely IS a bike path. There are three parking spots down the roadway. None are handicap accessible.

Cute little meandering path with river views. Decent parking, which is surprising.

good view lot of shifty looking upper class people thinking because they live around there they own the park

Tristan Knoess

Good place to go shopping.

This is a very peaceful and quiet area where you can walk along the Fraser River and Brunette River marveling at the majesty of the two rivers; the trees; the birds; and the unique location - nestled behind the Skytrain and rail tracks. It can be difficult to get to by car as the signage isn't great and the road system in New West only allows for one entrance. Exiting can be a doozy given that you are on a hill trying to merge onto a very busy route with lots of blindspots. Parking is limited and the spots are tight. But accessing the park via foot or bikes is easy. There are plenty of beaches scattered throughout the walk to rest and take in the views. There are some picnic benches as well. Few but they are there. Its worth the visit if you want to relax, walk and rest and just stare out onto the water to marvel at the beauty of our surroundings.

The park is a beautiful way to view the mighty Fraser! The parks staff keep it clean and presentable!

TG Deise

From the entrance at the foot of Cumberland Street to the end and return is just over a 2 km walk. NOT a bicycle path or off-leash dog park. A lovely spot to get away from the hubbub of the city. Watch wild life like cormorants, heron, occasionally a seal, even beaver and otter. All sorts of birds. Virtually no parking.

Charly Maher

Beautiful riverside walking area.

Best place to go when you want to be alone. Or to watch the heron eating tiny little river bugs in the sand. Good for dogs. And has a peaceful view. Close by lots of places.

One of my favorite parks to walk serenely along the river.

Nathan Woods

It's a great place for a riverside stroll

Natalie Harvey

Lovely little walk by the water. Would be perfect if it was a way to walk all the way from Sapperton to downtown, but the trail ends at Front Street, and there is no sidewalk along that stretch. You could technically walk along the ditch, but I tried, and felt super unsafe. It's narrow to start and gets even narrower as you keep walking towards downtown. I do not recommend that you try. Especially not if you're walking your dog with you!

A surprising little gem along the Fraser River in the Sapperton neighbourhood of New Westminster. Even with Skytrain and truck noise overhead, this small inner city waterfront park is beautiful and serene. Lots to see and explore!

Nice boardwalk to walk on near the water. It can get hard to get to this park due to trains blocking the entrance.

There's quite the buzz. The area That I've visited most is RCH, plus medical offices. One can get a Starbucks walk around the corner where there are Table & chairs to sit outdoors & enjoy . There are wee ones playing outdoors from their daycare. Also bldgs for rent are available. Water front views! Sapperton SkyTrain STN. Very convenient.

Shenita Salade

Really nice place to walk alongside the Fraser! Gorgeous views of the mountains and forests on bright sunny days.

Tammie Goodwin

Very nice to go down and sit in the evening.

SHANNON Christie

Great views of the tugboats and local mountain ranges. Fun to watch the fishermen pull in the big one. Some areas of stagnant water make few sections of walk very stinky

We saw a beaver here, who would have thought he'd be right in the city
