Here you have the feddbacks of people like you who are purchasing the products and services of New River Beach Provincial Park (Park) in New Brunswick (Canada).
At present this business has a rating of 4.7 over 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings is almost the highest, and it is founded on a high number of opinions, so we can be pretty sure that the rating is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Park corresponds to the category of Tourist attraction.
Camping is within walking distance to the new river beach. Firewood could be a bit better as it was wet on the inside. Bring a fire starter or cut a bunch of kindling when you're getting set up. Staff were friendly and appear to like their job.
A simply outstanding park with excellent service in a excellent location. The best national/state/provincial park we've visited.
There are too many wooden boardwalks! It would be more like a hiking trail without them. Also very slippery when wet! Very pretty trail with nice views though!
Nice beach but a lot of seaweed, the tide was up really high when we went so we should have planned better so there could have been more beach area available. There were a lot of people there that day and we had to walk quite far to find a quiet area, even though it wasn't a very nice day out, so if you're looking for somewhere quiet, probably not the place for you.
Best beach in the area!
Beautiful beach, lots of parking.
We love this place
What a nice beach❤️
We can walk on nice brown sand for miles
Great camping, pet friendly, beautiful beach and cute hike nearby.
Beautiful beach and great hiking trails will definitely be heading back
We came here because it seemed like such a nice beach on the bay of Fundy, and at first it was. There were dogs running, a good kilometer of sand or so, the sun was shining, and there was a light breeze from the south. Life was good. It was not to last. The water rose slowly at first, then quickly as we headed for the hills. Then, it happened. I have never seen so much seaweed rising so quickly. Mountains of seaweed as far as the eye could see. The dogs were not running, the sun was not shining and the breeze drew to a halt. Beware the seaweed invasion that lurks beyond.
One of the gems of NB for sure. Unfortunately I find it's a victim of its own success. On nice days, particularly weekends it's overrun and can be less of a joy. There seems to be large disrespect for the ecosystem. I love it but always leave disappointed at the amount of garbage, cigarette butts, and other litter/damage done. Nobody probably wants to pay more for entry fees but it might be worth it to thin the crowd out some or fund some form of enforcement at peak times.
Great Beach, nice little playground, good little dinner, the rustic shelter was good size too
Nice campground. Private sites. Beautiful beach on the ocean across the road.
Nice beach. Clean installation. Easy access.
Beautiful way to spend a sunny Spring day. The trail is still being cleaned up after Winter, but was in generally good shape.
Great spot to spend the day. Good for long walks on the beaches and hiking trails.
The crew that takes care of the campsite deserve every bit of the 5stars I posted. Clean comfort station, campground, and beaches. Even good for a day trip with Barnaby walking trail.
Without notice, on our first morning, during a pandemic, they shut down one of two bathrooms which left one shower for a campground that was over half full. The reason we were given was that they wanted to start their shut down process. Maintenance crew was less than apologetic telling us that the other bathroom, which was literally five times the distance away from the one they shut down, was sufficient for us. This was a trend according to other campers. We book our sites close to the bathrooms purposely. Very discouraged.
Nice big beach and nice family area, however, no dogs allowed.
New River beach is a great spot for an afternoon stress release. Summer events include sand sculpture contest. There are washroom facilities on site and NRB is one of the best local areas for surfing. New River Beach is a local gem just outside the city.
Watch the tides cover or uncover the sand. Peaceful. Lovely views, well-kept facilities, on-site refreshments and hot food.
This is a must see place, especially during the sand castle competition when there is a little market as well as some food vendors.
This is a fantastic swimming spot and campground. My boyfriend and I prefer a more private campsite as opposed to the more "exposed" situation you find at other places. There's a good amount of land and privacy to most sites and the surrounding forest is lush, mossy and smells amazing. The beach is a few minutes walk away and beautiful. Would definitely go again!
Beautiful beach.
Great place to visit and relax! Not super expensive for a taste of the tropics~
Nice place to camp, swim, dive, boat and hike
Great sandy beach, clean and lots of spaces to play and explore.
Beautiful, I loved that they have a park with slides for the kids. Space for barbeques and a restaurant with ice cream too.
water and sand look out for summer
It was very beautiful scenic view. The water was cool and the beach was welcoming. There was 10 dollars for parking but was free because it was a holiday. Restrooms had flies roaming and a little unclean..
Be prepared for the fog. It's thick and hard to see through when driving. Nothing will dry out because of the moisture and it was cold (July). They cannot control the weather so that's not their fault. But driving inland only a short drive (10 mins) and the temperature increases 10 degrees. That being said, the plus side was there were no bugs. Be sure to bring an electrical adapter as it's only 220 outlets. The beach across the street was very nice. The tides are posted and it's a long walk out at low tide, at high tide it's nearly to the stairs. Very nice on a sunny day.
great place for hiking and relaxing on the beach swimming and picnic areas with wood cook stoves
I absolutely love this beach!
Good beach with volleyball court as well
Nice spot for a family time
Maybe not as famous and touristy as some other places around, had a great time as the campground. Stayed at one of the rustic camping no service plot. Good size, plenty of privacy and shade. Really nice sandy beach a small walk away with stunning views on the bay. Nice hike (let’s say more a walk) on the peninsula, which you can also reach through the beach at low tide. Be ready to walk in tiny bits of water and/or mud. Nothing bad, but appropriate shoes are better. No real shopping opportunities without car, still has a restaurant with a basic menu and fish and chips.
Went for the sand sculptures, they were amazing. It is a nice beach.
The board walks are fun and take you to some beautiful vantage points.
Beautiful and clean as always.
Beach is huge at low tide with great sand. Took the family here and the boys love it.
Starting to see the plastic pollution washing up on the beach.
The single most amazing beach I have ever been to. At low tide the sand beach extends out around 300m from shore, and would be a good 2km walk from one side to the other. At high tide there was still enough beach to set up along (not overcrowded), and was very clean. Great for kids too as there were no sudden depth changes, or strong currents/waves. I will be returning for sure.
Beautiful beach / lovely walking trails & very nice camp ground.
Always a great time at the beach. Remember the tide comes in fast! Great big waves. $10 parking fee for the day
New river is always a good place to visit on a nice day! Park for kids and huge beach as well as hot food at the on site restuarant.
Is there a 6-star rating? We loved this place so much we will be driving there for 14hrs just to go again. The location is gorgeous and it has some very nice sites with heavy woods and the feeling of isolation from the next campsite. If you can, avoid getting a site that is close to the highway as the trucks can get loud. The most amazing view comes from the beach across the road. The tide comes and goes throughout the day so you get to walk the beach deep into the bay. You might also get to see a few seals if you are lucky! We were :) The beach also has a restaurant but it was closed at the time we where there so I am unsure as to the quality. You might also see a few dogs enjoying of the freedom and water so if you have a dog, let him/her run free but I think they might not be allowed without a leash so be prepared to reel him/her in.
Very very nice beach!
Nice campground, although no water in site just communal taps throughout. Beach is amazing.
Beautiful beach to swim, walk along the shoreline as well as listen and admire the ocean view
Nice Beach. 10 bucks for the day! Restaurant at the beach (it is expensive but what do ya expect). Leashed dogs are allowed. Beautiful view. Change rooms, showers, bathrooms, picnic tables and charcoal BBQs on site. Stay and watch the tide if you can!
Nice little park
Had a nice stay. The nature trail is amazing
Great park got picnics or large gatherings. Entrance fee is $10 per car..
Always a great day at New River, even with a bit of fog.
Great facilities. Amazing sand beach.
We booked for two nights in September 2020. The morning we headed for a shower and they were closing the facilities early. The site we had was a good hike to the other building with showers. There was no notice about this on arrival. The site we had was nice and clean. The campground over all was nice. We didn’t get a chance to go a see the beach.
Nice place to cool off on hot days.
Beautiful beach.
Great food waited for it but it was worth it
Great place to come. Enjoyed the Barnaby Head Trail
Beautiful beach, great for families and friends of all ages
Clean with just the right amount of breeze. This massive beach basically guarantees you a patch of sand of your own.
All facilities were not open yet
The park is always well maintained and the bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The views of the beach just opposite the camping grounds are amazing.
Beautiful beach and children's play area. Lots of space for picnics and family activities.
New River beach is such a beautiful place. I love to relax there. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. My fiancee and I always look forward to returning to the beach.
We stayed in a tent for one night and a rustic cabin for 3 nights. We had a great time there. I love the campground and the beach is amazing. We had a serviced site for the tent and when we went to use the plug...we found out that we couldn't as it wasnt a regular plug. Thankfully the office does have adapters that you can use for a refundable deposit of $30.00. The rustic cabin was great. There is an outlet inside and outside. There is a light inside as well as a picnic table. For the beds, there are 2 double flats on the bottom and 2 single flats above. You will need to being your own mattress. There is an outdoor grill that is charcoal, a picnic table and fire pit. There are water taps throughout the grounds as well as dump sites and garbage bins.....the usual stuff. I found the washrooms and showers clean...water pressure in the shower was great. Due to Covid-19 the campsite wasnt completely packed with people but there was a good amount of campers coming and going which made it easy to have hot water!! Woo hoo!!! Loved all the little critters that visited as well.....most amusing and enjoyable to watch. The only complaint(s) we would have would be that the bed areas of the cabin wasnt cleaned off well enough as there was dirt and popcorn left there. The firewood was wet which made it hard to get the fire started and keep it going. They dont allow you to bring your own firewood. Love New River Camping and will return in the future. A most enjoyable experience.
Beautiful clean beach, I found some sandollers!!!
Lots of interesting vistas in New River Beach Provincial Park, A beautiful beach to walk at low tide, or let your imagination create interesting effects whether it be surf or Sandcastle day's!
Beautiful beach
Great beach, clean, pretty, shallow and sandy. Also cold but be brave!
This a beautiful sand beach and nice park area
Very nice provincial campground with one of the nicest sandy beaches in this part of NB.
Gorgeous Sandy Beach with Bay of Fundy tides
Beautiful beach, amazing sight, good place to spend a day of relaxation, especially if sunny. Only $10 daily per vehicle of you just go to the beach.
Awesome, quiet campground. You can easily walk to the beach and adjoining trails. Beautiful views.
Loved our 3-day tent camping trip here! Our 2 boys, 6 & 8, loved all of it. The bathrooms are clean with decently wooded campsites. We did the full trail loop around Haggerty's Cove - breathtaking! The beach itself is a wonderful long walk during low tide. Fun during high tide, too, for swimming and splashing around. Only thing I didn't like were streetlamps in the campgrounds. Why?!!! Ruins the experience of camping, even if it's just car camping.
Took my scuba coarse at this beach.
Beautiful beach and campground.
Great place to feel a part of the Ocean
The park is a great Bay of Fundy outdoor activity site. If you can handle colder waters, it's a great location for swimming, with a very gradual water depth (very few sudden drop-offs or depth changes) and a wide waterfront. There are basic facilities for changing, and outhouse washrooms near the beach itself. There is a playground with a beautiful view of the waterline, and various locations for having a barbeque or picnic meal.
Clean comfort stations and lovely spots to camp
Awesome sandy beach!
One of the coolest beaches to check out. Check the tide schedule so you can enjoy this beach to its fullest. Low tide allows you to walk about a km out to the water line. Mud flats are fun to play in at low tide, and usually the water is decently warm from the sun.
An amazing place to go look for things and its amazing because you can just have a fun time with whoever.you go with
Great sandy beach nice hiking trail nearby and great camping sites be it a full size trailer or a tent
Sand Beach in the most glorious location, must see, check the tide schedules
Beautiful spot. Good facilities. Great for camping and just perfect for sand castles!
It was hot. It was sandy. It was crowded. It was everything I've come to expect from Sand Castle competition day
Spent the afternoon at the beach. Beautiful spot. Found sand dollars, sea glass, and the odd shell once the tide went out.
Beautiful Bay of Fundy is a must visit.
Went at sunset and it was amazing. Beautiful beach not far from the city.
I was amazed by the preservation of little animals and birds, despite the number of visitors. I even thought of writing a story about it. A children's story about the underground world...

Nice place to visit
Beautiful beach even on the fog, my family wants to live on this beach ????
Beautiful day! Sun was hot, water was cold.
Awesome experience at this place on our road trip accross the Maritimes. RV friendly with convenient on site hooks ups. Nice beach access across the street from the entrance to the park that is included in your camping permit that we would highly recommend taking a visit to. Would for sure make the stop again when we head back out here again
The beach is great but check the walking trails as well.
Very clean and quite place to be
Camp sites are kept in excellent condition. Awesome beach as well!
Beautiful beach. Well maintained
Would like to have basketball court there
Great beach, nice sand and picturesque spot just a little ways off highway 1. Lepreau falls is also nearby.
Best beach in New Brunswick.
Gorgeous. One of my favorite hikes.
Great beach. .very clean
Awesome walking trail for all skill levels. The beach doesn't hurt the eyes either. Annual sand sculpture contest around Canada Day for all ages. Really low tides with almost infinite Sandy shore line!
Great beach, very long and walkable. Clean. Very cool contrast between high and low tide. Nice Stream flowing through the beach. Great view. But too busy in September. Parking accessible. Changing rooms. Hiking trail nearby
Was great, to bad the beach was closed though, but loved the trail
Nice beach
Beautiful sandy beach. Nice place to experience the rising and falling tides of the Bay of Fundy.
Best beach in New Brunswick
A beautiful beach with amazing views and spectacular tides.
Great place to take your family ????
It's busy in the summer. Temp drops a few degrees as soon as you turn off the highway. Everytime we had been there, there was a crazy lady who owns one of the cottages. She calls the police every time the tide goes out and the public start walking on the beach near her place
Amazing beach! Playground for the kids. Don't think parking should cost $10 BUT...park for free on the side of the road and walk in to the beach.
Beautiful place to visit.
The beach was great during the evening. Tide was down and was cool. Playground was clean and our young fella had a great time playing
Beautiful beach
This place is beyond beautiful! The air and is so fresh and clean. Lepreau Falls is a MUST see! The family owned restaurant "Gull and Herring" directly on the beach has the best food in the area! If you are taking a trip to the east coast you must visit New River Beach, it is the nicest and cleanest salt-water beach in Canada.
Nature at its best. Great beach and walk at low tide. Scenic views. One of my favorite spots on the planet. I go every year.
Great sandy beach. The hiking trails are amazing.
We come every year. They have a great campground with clean facilities. The camp sites are great size and have lots of privacy. The beach is a short walk away with a nice little park for the kids. Great place to be...
A very quaint and beautiful provincial park with a great beach, and private campsites.
28 foot tide. A nice place to spend a sunny day.
Probably one of, if not the, nicest beaches in New Brunswick. If you feel like saving a few bucks on parking, there is plenty of parking on the road just behind the lot in the park and pathways that lead in.
What a lovely camdground we been going here for a few years as a family. Try to get the same site every year but only could get it once this year. We had a great time with our. Childern. Maybe we win a campsite stay. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful, even in October!
I love this beach! The ocean is the best. Good place for families and also there's a couple spots where you could be away from the families too if it wasn't crazy busy. Highly recommend!
Beautiful but that's some cold water!
Beautiful beach located not far from the city!
One of the nicer beaches in NB. The campground was okay. Easy access from Canadian Hwy 1.
Finally learned why this place music so popular. Great little park and great beach.
What a beautiful spot! Will definitely be back.
Beautiful day for New River Beach
Great provincial park. Nice Beach
Great place to swim or just hang out
I was at this beach 40 years ago and loved it as a teenager. It has changed a little bit, but it still has a wildness to it. Beautiful and clean.
Our site was smaller than we are used to in Ontario Provincial Parks, but large enough for our tent and car, and probably could have accommodated our dining tent as well. Comfort station and showers were small but clean. I only wish they were located more central to the tent camping area we were in. The sites near them were occupied by trailers and RVs that probably all had on-board bathrooms, so they didn't need to be close to the facilities.
Amazing camping and polite staff
Loved it, this was the first place I went to when I got my first trailer (27ft) and they gave me a quieter spot in the trees. Beach was a few mins walk away and the walking trails where amazing.
Great camping and beautiful beaches
Bijoux de la nature ...Naturel beauty ..We'll kept...Signage not to obvious from main road
Awesome sandy beach. Amazing how far the water goes in and out with the tide.
Beautiful sandy beach, plenty of space... Cold water! :-)
Super clean amenities, lovely beach and nice trails. Campground offers good privacy, very child friendly. English and French signs throughout parc but the french print is full of mistakes.
Have been going here on a regular basis for past 30+ years during all seasons. Very clean, very relaxing.
Great beach.. Was introduced to New River Beach a couple of years ago now it is one of our favorite places to go.
Love it! Beautiful place to spend the day.
Great place to spend the day!
Beautiful view n scenes
It's pretty here. We've stayed here twice for an evening each time on a giant roadtrip when we really needed sleep. First time: very loud campers next door. Nothing to do with the park itself, but it seemed like there were many larger families camping.. This time? We somehow ended up at a site directly behind the highway. Any of the sites in the 60 - range seem to have this issue. If we were staying for longer, it would have been more of an issue. As it was, we had our 8 hrs and will have some coffee and vamoose! But it's not really on our list of places to return for reasons other than "good stop to sleep on our way."
Great beach... But the water is cold.
Nice vast ????
Nice views great to take family pictures
Gorgeous beach. Family tradition.
Great weather water Is a bit cool. Clean place lots of parking
The parc it's just wonderful specially the trail but its shame to pay 10 dollars just for half of the day
Excellent beach. Generally quiet, sandy with clear water.
Great but was told no dogs allowed but yet there was dogs there just awful
Visited with friends who summer here. Their place is within walking distance and it is so peaceful there. We will be back!
Just so pretty. Clean beach, friendly staff
A beautiful sandy beach with an equally beautiful walking trail along the ocean.
One of our favourite places to go as a family!
Good place for spending one day
Beautiful beach
Beautiful way to spend a fall day
Amazing camping for families.
This is a great beach for the family. And it seems like the Bay of Fundy is a few degrees warmer here than the other swim areas along the coast line.
Beautiful beach. But I've gotta ask if all the people that park along the side of the road so they can get in for free, use the washrooms and changing rooms that my $10 paid for. I can't help but think if you can't afford $10 for a day at the beach maybe you should rethink the way you spend your money.
A childhood favorite... An awesome place to spend the day and witness the amazing tide come in and out. LOVE this beach ❤️
Awesome place for a family picnic or day at the beach
Love the sandy beach and fresh air
This place is so beautiful and the water is cold...lol
Low tide and high tide.
Loved it! Really nice campsites.
Great place to take the family for a drive, camping, swimming.
Beautiful beach to spend a summer afternoon or day at.
Great Sandy spot for a picnic and a swim in the surf
Beautiful. Dog friendly, walking trail, camp ground and the beautiful Bay of Fundy
Wonderful view and a very calm place. Thumbs up!
It is awesome place for sunset. Trail is good goes through woods.
Lots of campsites, fair pricing, beautiful beach and very friendly staff!
It's a really nice place,I just wish it was fresh water, that's the only reason for the ???????????????? rating. ????
Great beach spot here in southern NB!
The best beach in New Brunswick. Top in Canada. Cold water. High and low tides.
Never a bad time of year to go.
Really nice beach. Nice campground. The rustic chalets are really nice too, sleeps 6 have heat, table and propane BBQ included
One of the best beaches in southern NB.
A great spot to spend with your family. Check it out. Everyone is being respectful of social distancing. One of the best beaches around.
Awsome trails here. Easy walk
Lots of beach sand when the tide is out. ???? The camping spots are in the midst of a well-tended forest with a lush carpet of moss.
My favourite place in NB. We've been going for 4 or 5 years. Beautiful sandy beach, nice homey campground, clean washrooms, and a nice little canteen.
Love New River Beach! So beautiful
Always love this campground. Located on one of be new Brunswick most beautiful beaches. You go to sleep with the sounds and smells of the ocean every night.
Loved the beach but the no dogs made it not an option for us
Cold water. Nice hiking trails.
The viwes are breathtaking, but the price to get in is somehow high.
This campground was beautiful! Each site is semi private and ours overlooked a small gorge with a little river with beautiful old trees. Short drive to both Saint John and St. Andrew's. Perfect place to camp!
Absolutely wonderful place to visit.
Nice clean park. Very quiet and lots.of privacy between sites. One of our favorites
I'm only giving 3 stars because the staff in the office were extremely rude. I'm guessing students there to collect a paycheck. However the park itself very well looked after. 2 thumbs up for maintenance. As for the beach, water was chilly and some seaweed but the sand was clean and the view was nice. I probably won't go back because of the staff in the office.
Awesome beach... sparkling water
Wonderful ☺️
Loved camping here! Facilities are clean, beach is nice, and I love that I can have my tent on a treed site and not a field.
Had to pay for parking which is a big downside for me but the beach is large and clean and very beautiful.
Clean, spacious and relaxing. A great place to take the family and enjoy the waves!
Good beach to spend a day , 10$ to get in though
Nice Beach.
Beautiful beach, changing rooms are available (we never used them, only saw them). There is lots of beach to spread out.
Nice sand, good little restaurant
Great beach! Excellent camping!
Had an amazing time here, met some great people, staff are especially nice. Great spot for picnic, swimming, tanning, dinner, ect.
A beautiful, well run park.
Beautiful day's outing
Great size beach and a nice large sandbar so you and the kids can go out quite a ways before it's too deep when the tide is in
Love this beach! Always clean and well maintained.
Best place to be in New Brunswick. Beach is beautiful, campground well maintained. The chalets are amazing. Will be booking them again next year.
Been here dozens of times. Simply beautiful.
Went here maybe 4 - 5 years ago and it was free, now it's $10 - $15 a person with nothing on there websites about paying to enter the beach.
Wonderful series of trails along the Bay of Fundy. Amazing views to be enjoyed with plenty of spots to relax and catch your breath. Trails range from easy to challenging. Lots of parking available. Beautiful at any time of the year but very cold in the winter, as one would expect.
A really nice beach, tons of space. Even on the busiest days you should be able to find a nice spot to settle in for the day. The tides are really interesting to watch and if you're not from the area I imagine it's even cooler.
Always a great day at the beach.
Wouldn't be summer with the fam in New Brunswick without at least one trek to NRB. Tide change is mesmerizing to experience. Sand, sun and salt water. Yes!
Very beautiful and clean but the water is very cold.
The campground is nice, with lots of wooded sites. The staff seemed a bit tired, lacking enthusiasm (maybe because it was the end of the season?) but they were still very helpful. The camper hookups were easy and worked well. Our spot was pretty small because the bank sloped off, but it was lovely. The beach was very nice too.
Nice place to spend the day with family and friends.
Beautiful! The water is very cold though.
Beach and parking lot are great, lots of easily accessable picnic sites. The bathroom facilities are sadly lacking, especially since every car that parks on site is charged $10 for the privilege.
Love the hiking trails.
Beautiful view... Large sandy beach both in high tide and low. Canteen facilities. Camp ground if you want to overnight.
Great beach and lots of hiking trails!
The the oceanview????????
The beach was absolutely breathtaking. The waves were fun for the kids to play in and sand great for castle building. Adorable little restaurant was well priced and food delicious. I had the cauliflower. I loved this beach.
Nice place, relaxing water sound
Great place to smell the fresh sea air.
We did the trail. If you like rocky coast lines, beaches, diverse forest or flora filled bogs. Do this trail
Very nice scenery and beach
A must visit place in New Brunswick! Beautiful beach, tons of fun. Very kid friendly
Awesome beach, especially at low tide, walking trails and ocean views.
Great beach for east coast
one of the most beautiful campgrounds ever.
Great family beach.
Very nice ,!Better washrooms would be an improvement at the hagartty Cove area
Beautiful beach, tide goes out really far and there's perfect sand. Lovely place.
I will stop coming here if ppl dont dress more properly as to me it was my family's favorite beach and its becoming slowly a g-string beach and I will not allow my kids to have to look at that when coming here, I came today with my kids and a couple came to sit behind us and she didn't have much for a bottom bathing suite! #sodirespectful #2020
Very nice beach, a bit crowded when it's really hot but great for frisbeeing or playing ball! The scenery is beautiful! Parking is paid, $ 10, it's still expensive access ... thank you for this superb beach!
One of the best sandy, salt water beaches around. Soft sand goes on and on. The water is cold but the view is spectacular
Beautiful day to hike and enjoy the ocean♥️
Beautiful scenery very clean
A very unique beach compared to many others in the area, when the tide comes in the main beach is separated into two.
Great provincial park nice camp site private and secluded great hospitality 2nd year here will b back love it here very relaxing!
Beautiful beach. Lots of parking, a canteen, clean washrooms and a little park for children. There are electrical outlets and picnic tables near the park. The beach is sandy and clean, when its low tide you can go out quite far before it gets deep.
Well kept trails and a good spot to walk dogs! You just have to keep them on leash and pick up after them. Not very buggy if you stay by the ocean but gets a little worse as you go deeper into the trails. The trails are a bit narrow so you can't walk side by side but thats not an issue for me. Loved the walk!
Wonderful park right on the Bay of Fundy. Beautiful long sandy beach, perfect for building sand castles. Camp ground, hiking trails. Watch the beach transform with the tides.
As a campground we enjoyed it , picturesque, enough privacy for a campground. Enjoyed the beach across the road and the hikes. Great stay.
Girlfriend and I went down for the day and was it ever awesome! After sitting in the sun for a whole you can run into the chilly water and cool off almost instantly!
Wonderful ❤ Loved this beach ⛱
$10 to get in is more than worth it. A beautiful beach, great ride pools and a fun little playground. The canteen is slow to process orders and is quite expensive. $8.95 for a hamburger is a little ridiculous. We had a wonderful time.
Nice clean beach, lots of space and facilities available.
What's not to love salty sea air n ocean breezes
Hidden gem in NB, such a special place.
We were at the very back of the campground which runs along side a road so all night we hear traffic or transports will park along side there and leave it running all night. We also had a couple things taken from us while we were away. Campground itself was very well maintained. I would definitely go back but I would reserve a better spot and lock my stuff up when we go somewhere.
A good beach for the area but quite crowded
Wonderful beach!!!!
What a beautiful spot loved the campsites
When visiting Saint John I always stay in Pocologan with relatives. Have been to New River many times in childhood. It never changes. It is a very beautiful beach and always busy. A film was being made for T.V. this year which added interest for my visit..It can be subjected to fog so wise to check before going. One must always be truthful.
Did the trail around the point. Wow, and an easy walk.
Great beach. Impressive tide.
Our favourite summer beach and campground
Very nice beach
Great park. Enjoyed our stay. Well kept with very clean bathrooms and showers.
Great place enjoyable views...great for beach walking!
Pretty beach. Very affected by the tide. Can be cold by the water.
If its beach you enjoy with low & high tides then this is the place to be. The campground is small & well looked after.
Overall nice day at the beach
The only problem is they don't allow dogs?
Friendly people cleanliness and you have your own Elbow Room
Nice beach. The park is wonderful.
Great location near beach but bare bones amenities. No water at camping sites, trashe receptaxles not clearly marked, dump site needs a berm for spilled sewer water, staff should provide more info to new arrivals, etc. this place could be 5 star with a litthe more attention to detail
It's a beautiful park with a great beach for the whole family. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the whole day there. You can look for shells and sand dollars. . When the tide goes out you can walk for miles on the sand. A great day for everyone.
Beautiful sand beach , nice little playground, facilities, canteen
Amazing spot. Get here early and spend the day as the tide slowly creeps up. Beautiful large sandy beach with play equipment, bbqs and pavilions as well as the Gull restaurant. Outdoor washrooms and shower area...camping is also available at this beautiful provincial park
We went around 4:30 p.m. the beach was not crowded and it had plenty of parking for a fee of 10.00. It was a great time to go in the evening lots of space and the tide was going out! Would recommend.
Loved it! Good sized, well treed campsites. Bathrooms were decent.
Cold, yet refreshing!
Great beach great trails!!! Love it!
Great beach and Kelly Miller in the office is awesome and informative
Great beach and wonderful place for an evening walk. At the far end there is a great hiking trail.
Decent beach and park.
We loved it!! It's a beautiful beach
Beautiful beach. The soft sand is perfect for kids to play. Water is a bit cold though.
Campsite close to wonderful beach, amenities near our campsite were clean and in good condition. Our campsite was next to a creek where the kids could go and explore. Well priced and helpful staff. There are some seasoners on the campsite, but most plots are free to the public. Great location and great walks nearby.
Best beach
Beautiful coastal trail.
One of my favorite beaches. Get there when the tide is going out. Park your stuff up on the back of the beach where it's rockier if you don't want to have to move your stuff when tide comes in. You can park on the road for free or 10 bucks to park right by the beach. Bring a small bag of charcoal to use with one of the BBQs to cook a meal. Stay for the sunset.
Very nice and clean. Great place to swim.
First time there. It was a great experience. We rented one of the chalets for 2 nights and had a great time getting away even though it rained. Only downside really was how noisy the highway could be while trying to sleep. We plan to go again though.
a very nice rv park, easy to find, access to the beach is within walking distance from the park. it was quiet and well maintained.
Excellent experience. Trails are awesome and views are breathtaking but may need to bring a hoodie. I highly recommend
Enjoyed the cool Bay of Fundy water. We were visiting during low tide and so lots of space and folks were social distancing.
Great beach, especially when the tide is out!
Such an amazing spot to camp! My favorite place
Great campground. Not bad for bugs and nice washrooms. Even the outhouses are clean and nice. Bring a sweater for when the fog rolls in off the Bay
Beautiful beach and trail.
One of the best beaches in NB
Very cool
One of the most beautiful places on the planet
They have everything you need there to enjoy a great day on the beach. The beach is huge so there's plenty of room for those busy beach days. There's a playground if the kids get bored. and charcoal fire pit to roast your food on. Changing rooms, and other amenities. Definitely my beach of choice.
Beautiful beach, not alot or no seamless to be found, enjoyed my day. It can get crowded.
Watched low tide, some spots receded over 50 feet!
Nice little beach. The sand is a little course tho. There is a nice little play area for children. There is a canteen there, camping, change rooms. The tide was almost all the way in with about 2 foot waves (3 year old grandson loved the waves) when we were there, but I am guessing that the beach goes out a long ways at low tide. Overall a great beach. Did not see all that was offered but what we saw was great and the best part of our day trip. Just wished we went there first and spent the whole day there even tho it was foggy.
Best campground in over a month's travel!
Great safe beach for kids of all ages
Very nice place my family really like it here
Great place to spend a day on the beach. Vast space to explore, a lot of sea creatures to discover, my family loves it.
Awesome beach with a small play area for kids, picnic tables, parking, washrooms and a restaurant. Great place for kids and families for a day out.
People at park very friendly
Who doesn't love the beach.
Beautiful beach. Clean washrooms
Love the beach and this spot has a good one! One thing for sure, look up the Sand Castle competitions at New River Beach for some pictures of some truly amazing talented folks all out having fun. We'll be able to go to events like this again soon as long as we together keep Covid away and we all get vaccinated. I won't lie though, the water here is really really shall we say awakening invigorating and refreshing!!
Been coming here since I was a teenager. Whether for beach days or camping for the weekend, this place has never failed to be a fantastic time (rain or shine). Sandy Beach, lots of picnic spots and even supplied fire pits for cooking. What's not to love.
Great campsites for our RV. Beach is fantastic. When the tide is out, it goes on forever. Breathtaking.
Beautiful clean, shallow beach. Cold water or I would have given a 5 star review.
Amazing place for a walk.
Such a special place. Try the scallops at the gull and herring!
A large sandy beach with warm tide pools left when the tide goes down great for the dmall ones. A restaurant nearby if you didnt bring a lunch.
Best beach in New Brunswick
New River Beach is amazing.. the sand is soft and light, and when the tide is in you feel like you are somewhere south the water is so turquoise. I recommend parking on the street because they charge a provincial park rate to park in the zone they provide (friendly tip). They have an awesome -all ages- annual sand sculpting contest in August that I strongly recommend you participate in with your family and friends!
New River Beach has been a perfect spot to come since I was a child. It's long spralling beach, soft sand and beautiful low or high tide is well worth the trip. It's a true gem in my eyes, and I was always come back whenever I'm home.
Went on Sand sculpture event day, It gets busy afternoon and until dusk.
The sunset and sunrise was amazing
This is a great spot to camp. It's a quick walk to the beach, there is a great family hiking trail close by, the sites are private and wooded, and the roofed shelters are excellent. The only downside were the cleanliness of the washrooms. I'd give them a 5/10.
Beautiful beach and great food
Nice level, private sites. Good facilities and just across the road from a beautiful, safe beach. Very family friendly. Nice to fall asleep in our RV listening to the waves. Great hiking trails nearby. They just added a couple of bee hives in the beach park area as well as a flower garden (in progress). A great initiative!
Beautiful, awesome east coasters, good staff, great for kids and adults.
Nice and clean beach with lot of picnic.
Great place for a quiet outing
One of NB's secret spots. Beautiful views and friendly people
Beautiful, large beach with an amazing view. Great spot for kids with the soft sand and a small playground nearby.
Fantastic trail, beautiful views
Absolutely loved it...had forgotten how a beautiful beach it is...
Great for a day at the beach
Great beach. Lots of people
Great campground with some very private sites. Was very easy to find a large, level spot for our class A. Clean, quiet and just a few hundred metres from the bay.
Clean beach beautiful spot
Beautiful beach
Great place to drink, and smoke responsibly with friends, water's cold but hey what can you do
Beautiful park with amazing beach and great campground. Campground sites very nicely secluded by woods. Very quite and friendly park. A bit short on shower houses/restrooms. Map shows several restrooms that are actually just pit toilets (classic old style). Roads a bit narrow for trailers but still passable. Beach is incredibly wide at low tide. Very clean and family oriented. Canteen on hill is quaint with great service and friendly smiles from cook. Food is fried but decent and affordable.
Nice place
Easily the best of NBs provincial parks (admittedly a low bar to hurdle). Campground is good though comfort station is too small and there is a fair bit of road noise. Minimum of insects. Beach is very nice.
Nice beach.
Perfect spot to take a stroll on the beach, go for a swim, have a BBQ, grab a ice cream or let your kids play on the playground.
Great friendly staff. Beach right across the road.
