Stunning views, great trails. Mount Carleton is a gem.
staff was great. the only downside was the lack of signs leading you too the park exit. got lost on my way out. other than that, go here! take photos, leave footprints
Not an easy trail at all! Make sure you have good supportive legs for lunging motions and you can stomach heights. Pack lots of snacks and multiple bottles of water if you get thirsty easily.
Very well kept park and staff was very personable as well allowed us to park our camper under the watchful eye of a camera for week when our vehicle broke down.
Great service, clean bathroom and service. As far as Campgrounds go..... It is perfect
9 o'clock is to irly on the weekend to have everything shut off beside that everything is great ????
Beautiful & Scenic
Beautiful views, biggest issue was the amount of garbage threw the trails and in buildings in the park, as well as the graffiti in the buildings. Great place and great back country camping, the back country camping outhouse had mold in it and wasn't very inviting. Had a fun trip overall.
Best job I ever had! The views are amazing, lots of Wildlife in here, friendly people all over the place, hiking trails are great, beautifull lakes, Nice camping spots :) Cash only, so be sure to have some with you!
(Translated) Very rustic, dépaysan and beautiful summit (Original) Tres rustique, dépaysan et magnifique sommet
Nice tourist attractions
This park is a gem of a place to go for hiking, camping and getting back to the basics. Also, no cell signal unless you're willing to hike to mountain peaks. Mt Sagamook is by far the nicest climb.
Must do hike.... challenge Mt Sagamook first then do all Summits ending at Mt Carlton parking lot. Bring 2 cars. Leave one at Sagamook. Awesome full day hike, dog friendly trail, bring snacks & 1 liter water in fall season was enough water.
Fantastic camping right on a lake.. Beautiful
Great service and clean park!
First time there, amazing park!
Awesome scenery, kinda remote and lacking in descriptive signs but a very enjoyable stay, also has showers
(Translated) Very beautiful place to visit in nature forest mountains super (Original) Très belle place à visité en nature forêt montagnes super
Great trails, 4 and 6 year olds loved it!
Awesome. Beautiful maintained grounds. Loved snow shoeing and the Park staff super nice.
Really cool visit, quite a few quite places to pull over on the way up. The park itself is wonderful place to take some pictures!
(Translated) Wow ???? what a view ....... The employees are kind ... Very clean ....... (Original) Wow ???? quel vue....... Les employé son d'une gentillesse... Très propre.......
Amazing views. Upper ridge was beautiful. Trails were well marked and in great condition.
It was a great view on top on Mt Carleton. The hike was great exercise especially up the rock cliff. I had a very nice campsite with a good beach. Loved it! Would go again!!
Excellent staff and cozy cabins! We loved having a fire at night and waking up to hike to the highest point in New Brunswick. Canadians really are nice! Might be back again someday when I have better views from the summit!
I spent about a week here early summer two years ago. It’s remote but worth the drive into the park. The hiking is varied and there are a couple of backcountry spots to camp on Mount Carleton. Views at the summit are panoramic. The forest in the park is dense and some trails are narrow and challenging. Weather’s unpredictable and there are bears. The park is expansive and there is a hike combining different trails that cover the highest summits.
stunning
Great spot to relax and unplug. We stayed at the Fir Cabin in the Nictau area.
(Translated) Great place (Original) Super endroit
(Translated) Amazing service and very well maintained. Well signposted and super nice place to go ???? (Original) Service incroyable et très bien entretenu . Bien balisé et super bel endroit à faire ????
Disconnect and relax. Take in probably the most picturesque views in New Brunswick atop mount Sagamook or revisit forest firefighting history at Mount Carleton. They have by far the most private campgrounds in Williams and Franquelin and if tenting isn't your thing, Armstrong campground has all the amenities for glamping (camping in a trailer or motor home). Hiking the 3 summit trail from Mount Sagamook to Mount Carleton you have the opportunity to detour over to Mount Head where the spruce trees are too many to count and the view an absolute must-see.
Amazing place!
Fall colors were exceptional today!
Exhausted trip lol
Awesome hiking!!
Friendly staff, wonderfully maintained trails, and home to some of the best sceneries in the maritimes. We climbed to the peak of Mt. Carleton and back down in under 4 hours at a fast pace, one of the best hiking trails I've experienced yet
(Translated) Very nice hike! (Original) Très belle randonnée!
2019: What a weekend in one of the most beautiful spot in the province. This year we hiked Mount Sagamook with a peak at 777 metres. We hiked to the peak via Bald Mountain Brook Trail which was an overall 14.8 km return adventure in difficult terrain. This combined with a 14 km bike ride to and from the campground made it an 8 hour of non-stop strenuous exercise day. The view of Heart Island from the top is spectacular.
Nice place
Great bilingual service awesome trails and peaceful mountains. One of my favorite go to places to hike and chill in nature
Amazing place. If you like off grid camping, this is the place for you. Hiking, fishing, and nothing but fresh air and the true beauty of NB. Make sure you have supplies before you go in. The onsite shop has some stuff, but it's a good drive back to St Quentin if you forget something. Campsites are drive-in, or walk-in wilderness camps.
(Translated) Incredibly beautiful place. Many different campsites, barbecues, tables. There are toilets on the campsite, and sometimes there are hot water showers. In the park the road is forested but in good condition. Entrance to the park costs CAD 10 per car.
One of the nicest park in NB!!
Had a beautiful day at Mt Carleton. A new timber log lodge has been built where you can get ice cream, drinks and sandwiches. It's stunning inside. I've included a price list for anyone wanting to visit, camp or stay in the cabins which are very comfortable. This provincial park is so breath taking and a must visit
Such a beautiful hike up the mountain! Too bad the weather didn't cooperate more for me so I could see the gorgeous view at the top
Best place on N.B.!!
Great place nice sites many styles to chose from. Unfortunately there is no power or cell coverage while in there. So it is the perfect place to get a break. And the lake is amazing.
Best provincial park.
Absolutely spectacular views from the Carleton peak, and the fall colours are just starting. Mt. Carleton hike is relatively easy considering you climb the highest peak in the maritimes.
My father and I went in just for the day and climbed Mt. Carleton. This is by no means a high climb compared to other mountains around the region and world, but it is the highest peak in NB and as such, the views were incredible. The park attendant was very friendly and informative as we entered the park. We had to drive just over 13km once inside the park to get to the trailhead. To maintain physical distancing, they suggest you go up the 5.6km left side trail and come down the 4.4km right side of the mountain trail. It's one big loop. Stay on the green marked trail for Mt. Carleton peak which is sometimes just marked with blue and blue paint on rocks. I would say overall, it's an easy to, only at the very top, moderate hike. The entire journey took us about 3hrs from start of the hike to getting back to the parking lot. I can't wait to go back and explore the other 50+km of trails and peaks.
Really nice nature park. If planning on visiting be aware that there is no cell phone reception. There are also no stores/gas stations nearby, so stock up on food and fill up the gas tank before visiting.
It was a really hard climb up the rocks to the top of Mount Carleton but I am really proud to have done it!I can do anything I set my mind to do.I can officially take this off my bucket list ????
Just amazing place for hiking. Love it, will come back and back!
Loved it !!!
Love this woodland area
Lovely park
Awesome! Been there the past 3 years in a row and going there this weekend! Can't get enough!!
(Translated) We are not entitled to mountain bike compared to all other camping ???? (Original) On a pas le droit au vtt comparé à tout les autres camping ????
Beautiful park. Needs to mark the trails better.
Great park and quiet this time of year
It's an awesome getaway spot for all ages, all kinds of hiking, climb to the highest point in the maritime at 820m. Also enjoy the fresh water lakes. They offer camping for Tents , trailers. Friend and I Climbed Mount Carlton and took some pictures. I would suggest this to everyone that loves the Nature.
Awesome place to hike. Mount Carleton hiking was challenging but very rewarding to see the view from the top. William Falls is also a must see. Friendly and informative staff. The trail is well marked until you get above the tree line then it is a little harder to follow.
Loved it it was amazing
Wow. We were there last day Park was open, Oct 13. Fall foliage spectacular beyond belief. We climbed Sagamook 777 meters, the most difficult trail in the park. Worth it! Stayed at Fir Cabin on Nictau Lake. Spacious, sleeps 6, bathroom, large cabin. My only complaint is, the woodstove was unusable, as it smoked up the place. Plus wood was wet. Overall, cabins here amazing. Love the huge community cabin. Highly recommend Mt. Carleton Park
Great park, english service is not quite there though. They have many different levels of comfort for camping for different likes, and the views from the mountains are stunning. The store provides the necessities and the price is high but reasonable for its remote location. Ice and firewood are available.
Stormy weather, quick hike. Mount Bailey.
A beautiful place, with great campsites, and a fantastic staff. Will definitely visit again
Absolutely beautiful <3 100% would recommend
Very nice hikes and lake. very poor signage and information can be tough to get, all peak trails close at 2 pm.
Such a beautiful spot! Lots of opportunities to take beautiful photos and get out in nature. We saw some Merlins and evidence of moose. Tons of colourful mushrooms and on one trail we could smell a cotton candy like scent coming from the foliage. A must go place if you are ever in New Brunswick.
Second experience here, for provincial staff they are really friendly. It's not them who makes the trip, it's you. You'll have fun if you do research and make sure it's nice. Beautiful spot. recommended to anyone.
Great for outdoor adventures. There are 3 mountains you can climb, or various hiking trails. Lakes for canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding. Cabins to rent or camping grounds for tenting or trailers. Or just sit and relax around an eveni g camp fire.
What a stunning spot. Spent an absolutely perfect night along the lake. The hike up Mount Sagamook took quite a toll on my knees, however. I wasn't prepared for that. I recommend you stop often to stretch and it's probably a good idea to do some hiking before you arrive to get in shape and make sure your footwear works for you.
Love this spot... several one day hike on well taken care trails, weekend camping... awesome nature for the whole family. Friendly staff at the park entrance at your service :)
Beautiful spot to camp, and hike and boat
The view is sooooo nice ????
Beautiful ❤️
Stunning scenery!
Amazing experience. We will be back.
Amazing park and beautiful campground. You have to do this hike and paddle it's waters.
Such a beautiful place. We thought we were gonna be able to rent canoes on site, but yoh can't. That would be so convenient. We hiked a restored portage trail that predates the white man's arrival to North America. That was fantastic. The lakes, mountains, trails, and cabins are beautiful. A perfect getaway from the rat race.
Mostly good but some bad Bad: Make sure you fill up on gas in Bathurst (if you come that way) b/c there isn't Anything between there and the Park (lol) Also there aren't a lot of signs saying Mt. Carleton or pointing you in the right direction. As first timers to the park when we turned onto the road that goes to the park, it took a while, we passed cabins, people clear cutting wood, fields with Very little signs saying Mt.Carleton ahead. So really its nothing bad haha Good: we saw black bear and bob cat on the drive to the park and lots of moose sign. the park is Beautiful and Very well looked after, roads have very few pot holes, Facilities are clean, and the staff was excellent. The hike was awesome, beautiful views ! (if your half in shape you should take the harder trail on the way UP, it has way better views. the other trail (that we took down) was a easy walk but kind of boring. good if your older, not in shape, have a dog or not looking for a hard hike. GO camp/hike at Mt. Carleton !!!
Hot showers and clean bathrooms, main checking place has wifi, the only place you'll have a connection rather than on top of the mountains, lots of wildlife and totally an escape
Amazing hike, not easy, but worth it for that view.

Our paradise!! ❤????
Views are the best in the Maritimes, hands down. Must-see.
(Translated) Wonderful ... due to the highest mountain in the Maritimes and world famous. Mount Carleton yeahhh! (Original) Merveilleux... dû au plus haut mont des Maritimes et de renommé mondiale. Mont Carleton yeahhh!
The hike was longer than what we prepared for. We went in mid October and WAY overdressed. It's very up hill so you get warm quickly. There is green arrows all along the trail with makes it very easy to follow. Just be prepared for a long and maybe wet hike.
A very well hidden gem. Amazing!
(Translated) Really nice experience, I already want to go back. We really feel alone in the world! On the other hand can be a little more explanation compared to the climb of the Carleton kont, we were surprised at the end when it was almost rock climbing! Not for everyone! The trail was hard to see in these places. On the other hand, we really liked the stream on the way and we even saw an original! And the campsite was great.
Friendly helpful staff and clean facilities.
Beautiful place
Staff are friendly and accommodating. The camp ground is clean and in order. A perfect place for those who wants to escape the city life, you will really be disconnected from the world because there is no network reception. My family and friends really had a memorable stay!
Amazing campsite and amazing views if you are willing to hike! Well worth it for a family to do.
(Translated) Very large, magnificent views. The campgrounds in the recluse section are really isolated, with a descent to the lake with a view of the mountains! (Original) Très vaste, vues magnifique. Les terrains de camping dans la section recluse sont vraiment isolés, avec descente vers le lac avec vu sur les monts!
Cool.
Great climb up Mt. Carleton. 5.4km up, 4.6km down, about a 4 hour adventure. The walk is not a "nice stroll", wear good shoes, bring water and a camera.
(Translated) We did the “summit trail” hike in July 2020! It was much more difficult than we imagined, but the view is magnificent! We each brought a bottle of water, but it wasn't enough! At the top we passed a man who had done the hike with his dog, he mentioned to us that he knew he wouldn't have brought his dog! (Original) Nous avons fait la randonnée du « summit trail » en juillet 2020! C’était beaucoup plus difficile qu’on l’avait imaginé, mais la vue est magnifique! The best park in NB! Shhh don't tell anyone!
Spectacular experience! Stated 2 nights at the campground. Beautiful views off Mount Carelton from a newly built log lodge, spacious camp sites with bathrooms, showers, pet friendly, endless trails, playgrounds, and only 14km from the trail to Mount Carleton. Highly recommend staying here!
What a hike! But the views are all worth it. Bring cash to get in. Wear good shoes/boots. Bring snacks and water. Enjoy!
Must visit white point.
To me Mount Carleton is heaven on earth. We look forward to going every year. The staff is amazing! And the scenery and wildlife spectacular. Some of the best hiking in New Brunswick!
Great Hike
Definitely the best place to view the fall colours!
The views of the lakes and mountains are worth the effort
(Translated) A magical place with wonderful people. I advise you not to pass by???? (Original) Волшебное место с замечательными людьми. Советую не проходите мимо????
Great hiking. Bring bug spray!
My favorite place on earth!
Amazing place! A real gem to have in the maritimes.Awesome hikes with panoramic views! Great camping sites and very friendly staff. Be prepared to drive to the trail heads. Its a big park.
Great parc for all outdoor activities.
(Translated) Excellent place to visit ... You have to have the stamina and prepare your feet to do it;) To try (Original) Excellent endroit a visiter... Il faut avoir l'endurance et préparer vos pieds a le faire ;) A essayer
Went on an insane adventure with one of my greatest friends. Now here's a story for ya! (Review is last paragraph) We went the weekend after thanksgiving and unbeknownst to us, the park was closed. Thankfully, some other very helpful adventurers told us we could park at the front gate and walk 13km in to the trail head and then go up the mountain...and back again. So that's what we did. A 13km trek in, up the mountain (about 8 - 9km), back down the mountain, and then a long 13km walk out. We left at around 10:30 - 11am. By the time we got back down the mountain it was 7pm and nearly dark. We got out and back to the car around 11pm, then drove home back to Fredericton and didn't get to bed until 3am! All in all, we walked probably close to 40km that day...I wish that was an exaggeration! BY FAR the hardest adventure I've ever been on but the most worth it. We were not entirely prepared for what we were about to endure (lack of proper food, means of calling for help if needed, no first aid kit, we had only 1 flashlight...) but we were more prepared than expected. We were, without a doubt, the ONLY 2 people on that mountain that day. Nearly encountered a bear, and encountered 2 moose crossing our path on the way back out which slowed us down getting home too. Our hips and feet were SO sore at the end, but we felt incredibly accomplished and definitely that we had deserved bragging rights hahaha! Mount Carleton is an absolutely stunningly beautiful place that I highly encourage anyone to hike up, whether you take the extreme way as we did, or just enjoy the trail itself! The trail is marked well and very doable for hikers. Only gets a little difficult at the very top above the treeline. Make sure you have plenty of water, some form of first aid kit with meds included, high carb snacks and food (especially if you're doing the extreme way like we did haha), a lighter or matches, a headlamp or a flashlight, camera, and a buddy or two! As tough as it was, I would ABSOLUTELY do it all over again!
Beautiful park. Tall trees, great trails with stellar views.
Amazing place for hiking and get away from the busy life
Just got back from the most perfect weekend in Mount Carleton! The admission desk staff were super friendly welcoming, and had a wealth of information about the park! We camped in Franklin, right by the lake, it's perfect because it's private and the outhouse is clean! You can drive to Armstrong for a shower too! Plus, Franklin is cheaper. The stars were incredible at night and the mountain climb itself was an adventurous (lots of rocks to climb) one with a great view at the top! Highly recommend visiting this place!
The campsites were great, facilities were tidy and clean. Neat to see all the solar power and hot water.
We had an excellent time here, a very private campsite right on the lake.
12 hour climb and almost died. 10/10 would climb again.
Magical place to camp and climb.
(Translated) The proposed hikes are varied and suitable for all wishes and levels. We did the 7km one in 2 hours, it's great and easy. On the other hand, bring pants, long sleeve top and mosquito repellent and other flying insects that devour us in the middle of summer! A little more display on the park would be appreciated I think. Very beautiful place, pleasant and relaxing.
Great hiking.
Amazing staff and beautiful scenery. The trails are very well marked out and eady to follow it's a perfect experience
So peaceful
This is a beautiful place with an oasis like lake nestled between four mountains. We will 100% be back next year!!
Beautiful park
Had great time! Need more hiking trails.
It's a great place for outdoor fans - weekend stay or week long vacation - it offers nice hiking area with different difficulty levels, crystal clear water, fresh air and no cell phone signal, perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. You would need to bring water, be ready for mice infiltration, but log cabins are perfectly well equipped, free firewood is provided. The staff is very helpful with suggestions about hiking trails, maps - great place overall
A amazing jewel that everyone must visit!
Always clean, and the most beautiful place.
Beautiful. Secluded.
Really lovely place for camping and hiking. We hiked from Sagamook to Head to Carleton for a total of about 15.5 km. It was a long and tiring day but the views from Carleton were really nice. I'd absolutely go back again.
(Translated) Beautiful park and beautiful mountains. Great stay :) (Original) Beau parc et belles montagnes. Super séjour :)
Terrible service at the main lodge where you pay to get in. My friend and I could barely communicate in english with the women working there. Moreover, the women working there did not care to help the customers waiting in line. One younger woman left to go outside to do some stretches while we waited and waited to pay for a day pass. A couple people got fed up and left after waiting in line. I don't know who is in charge of managing this but they have terrible staff. Not sure if we will ever be back.
wow ????
Amazing park so much to do
Love ???????? this camping and trail's
(Translated) Very beautiful park with superb trails. (Original) Très beau parc avec de superbes sentiers.
Great views. Very peaceful place. If you need to unplug this may be the best spot for you.
Took the family camping over Labour Day weekend. We had a great time. The views are beautiful and there are plenty of trails to travel. The campground is clean and quiet (minus the drone of the generators during the day). There are water stations to fill your fresh tank but it is recommended that you boil the water for 5-10 mins before drinking.
We love this park..Spent 4 days there this past weekend. We had our own trailer ...We were concerned for tenting folk as only one stall per male and female bathroom open in whole park....a long way to walk then wait....Please put saitizer in at least one or two of your bathroom that are pit toilets...highly recommended..We loved our stay ..awesome park
Love this place so much
This is a must-see place. It's out of the way, but the natural beauty of this park is amazing. There are several different hiking trails that can accommodate any level of hiker. The main mountain, Mount Carleton, is a challenging climb but the view from the top is breathtaking. The main campsites are well maintained.
Great lookout
Very nice
(Translated) We were at the Williams. The grounds were spacious and distant from the neighbors. We had access to the lake by the forest and the view was very beautiful. This park is one of my favorite, and probably one of the most underrated in the province. Hiking wise, I've only done a few trails. The most popular one being Mount Carleton, which I've climbed 3 or 4 times. The view on top of the highest point in the maritimes is quite breathtaking. The hike itself isnt too hard. Like any looped trail, there is an easy and harder way. I would suggest the hard to start, even though there is a bit of light climbing at the end. Going down the easy way, i would suggest good shoes, and to avoid if you have weak ankles. It's rocky the entire time, you wish for a small stretch of plain grass a few times. For breathtaking pictures, Mount Sagamook is the way to go. The lookout near the top offers the best views of Nictau lake, and amazing options for pictures. The hike itself is quite more strenuous, but so worth it. Not suggested for inexperienced hikers. Mount Bailey offers nice hike, with nice views. Easily done in 3hrs, with lots of picture breaks and rest breaks. Williams Falls and Pine Point are probably the shortest and easiest trails, but are so worth it. The fall offers lots of picture opportunities, and is quite lovely. Pine Point has easily become my favorite trail. A trail in the middle of a red pine forest, following the shore of Lake Bathurst. It's quite simply magical and peaceful. The view all along is amazing. I can't wait to go back for my Xth time to discover more.
(Translated) Park closed since Monday - no season calendar on their website, very disappointed to have driven 120 kilometers for nothing. (Original) Parc fermé depuis lundi - aucun calendrier de la saison sur leur site web, très déçu d'avoir conduit 120 kilomètres pour rien.
I.from St Quentin appreciate my time there was wonderful
Was close a this time of year. Building and surrounding area extremely clean and well maintained
Relaxing
A great place to walk trails or climb mountains! Nicely kept trails, spectacular views!
(Translated) No water points through the campsite except at the sanitary block. It can go far for some users. Otherwise, dry toilets very clean, very clean grounds too. Wood for fire is still quite expensive for the quantity! A very beautiful place, the landscapes are beautiful. We must ride carefully, the moose are at home and go out on the road without warning! Camping Armstrong ideal for people who loves the cozy rustic !! To see and see again!
What a gem we have here. First time there and certainly not the last Great views, quiet, and nice hiking.
Amazing park. Best in NB.
Nice place!!

Very difficult hike to the top but so worth it.
(Translated) (note: it only takes cash) Simply perfect as a place to rest in nature !!! The cottage "beaver" (beaver) is splendid. 4 beds toilet and shower (not paying and very well arrange) are nearby. The fireplace in the cottage is really perfect. Nous avons adoré nous réveiller au son du huard , voir les originaux et tout les autres animaux !!!
Nice place good trails
It was pretty, but the signage was so sparse we ended up going down some very incorrect trails a few times. Staff were uncomfortable.
(Translated) Very beautiful landscapes (Original) Très beau paysages
Yup I climbed Mt Carlton and others too
Very disappointing Drove 4 hours to a site we booked the day before ( paid and confirmed) Only to find it occupied with other campers..After returning to the office no solution was offered. Office staff said the other campers "shouldn't be there", no other sites offered, no refund, nothing The roads in the park are extremely rough and not great for hauling a trailer. Would not recommend
Camped for 4 days and did some kayaking.Beautiful park.No internet or cell service.Couldnt ask for better
It's closed for the season, but still beautiful
Beautiful view nice hiking trails
No cell service so its the best place to disconnect. The Three peak trail is a real challenge.
Fantastic provincial park far off the beaten path. No electricity or running water or cell service. It's an amazing place to spend a few nights and offers some beautiful hiking trails. Very cheap tenting fees.
Lots of hiking, canoeing and other outdoor things to do
(Translated) Super nice place (Original) Super super de bel endroit
Great stop for hiking, camping and fishing. A true beauty of the Appalachian Trail.
Cheap and very beautiful spot. We never manage to spend enough time there.
This has been our favorite place on Earth for quite a few years now. For pure nature, fresh air and the chance to see a million trees in the daytime and a million stars at night.....this is the best spot in New Brunswick! Hiking trails and lots of lakes for kayaking and canoeing are pristine and not crowded. Tent and trailer sites are available as are cabins at reasonable rates. Can't wait for our yearly week long visit to get away from it all! The final thing that makes this place so special is the amazing staff that love this provincial gem so much. The park workers feel like family to us and take great pride in preserving this beautiful area.
Quiet, peaceful, private. Lovely place . We were lucky enough to see wildlife on our hike, including a moose!
The trail up Mt. Carleton was a moderate climb, very cardio demanding. The view was amazing l.
Very enjoyable
Amazing private campsites at Franklin Site and the water is just a few steps away. Amazing kayaking.
(Translated) I love this park around the lake. It is very peaceful. (Original) J'ai adorer ce parc autour du lac. C'est très paisible.
Beach was amazing. Definitely going to book more than 1 trip next year.
I enjoyed myself camping there but they should let you decide which camping lot you prefer , not destinate one for you.
The trails are great and the campground nearby is a good spot to stay. Great location to unplug.
Very scenic spot that has hiking, camping and kayaking/canoeing options. Also has lovely cabins. Make sure you book in advance. Arrive with a full tank of car fuel as the closest fuel station is 40 kms away. No cell coverage in most areas of the park. The administration office offers wifi connectivity.
Enjoyed the dark skies at night and how quiet it is. They have a small general store for anything you forgot or treats.
Beautiful camping
Beautiful place
Very peaceful place to camp. I was impressed with the level of service I es maintained on an off grid manner. Night skies...awesome. Wonderful trails. Inspired us to come home and build a kayak.
Was very fun
Beautiful place to camp, lots of places to explore. Top of Mount Carleton is breathtaking!
We love our visit to Mt. Carleton. The park is absolutely stunning and the staff is top notch. We did backcountry snowmobiling all around the park and snow/trail conditions were excellent. A special thank you to Matthieu and Pauline for all of their help. We’ll definitely be back.
(Translated) Its the place to relax (Original) Ses la place pour se relaxer
Fantastic campground without any serviced sites so you can really enjoy the silence, mountainviews and lakes. The park is very beautiful, lot's of trails to walk. Don't hesitate to go, you will be totally recharged at the end!
Don't understand why is it closed off season.

An amazing experience of lakes, waterfall, hills and trails surrounded by vast wilderness.
Mt. Carleton Provincial Park is a great place to visit for all outdoors enthusiasts. I have been going there yearly for many years now and always love the experience. Beautiful views from mountaintops, also several walking trails, a couple of campgrounds as well as cabins for rent. And the staff is very friendly and helpful! Looking forward to my next hiking adventure at the park!
(Translated) Thank you .... beautiful campgrounds and great pitches for amenities. There could be more bench to stop in long walk routes (Original) Merci....beaux terrains de camping et beaux emplacements pour commodités. Love this place ????????????
What an amazing trip! Went for a weekend with a few friends and rented one of the cabins, the picture is the view of one of the lakes from the steps of our cabin. We stayed in Maple cabin, we were surprised to find we had a bathroom and shower in our cabin. There is electricity, but its limited so be prepared to cook and make coffee on a gas stove! The hike up to the top of mount carlton was a little difficult but definitely worth it! If you enjoy hiking I highly recommend it.
Beautiful. Went to visit when leaves were changing colors.
Wow
It was beautiful took some great shots I was getting a drink and when I looked up there was a face on the tree
