You will be able to see the information of people like you who consume the services of Mactaquac Provincial Park (Park) in the area close to New Brunswick (Canada).
Right now this firm receives a rating of 4.5 over 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is almost the top, and it's based on a large number of reviews, so we may think that the rating is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Park is classified in the category of Park.
Lovly beach n park to get in touch with nature and walk along paths or go swimming or play golf
Eastern cedar everywhere. Such a beautiful trail system with some great structures built off the beaten path for day camping.
Lovely park but right now the beach area has a lot of goose droppings! There is also signs posted regarding swimming at your own risk.
Close to Fredericton and beautiful
What a clean, friendly place, year after year. 100% Covid-19 safety compliant
Stuck with lopsided site and longer term campers hog the water lines. Staff was very friendly. Poor sites should not be offered and more honest online site descriptions would be helpful.
visited today for a few hours :) very good experience nice cool water and hot sun ???? nice people
Great set of winter activities to spend a full day. Ski, slide, skate, and others
Spent 2 days there. Sites are nice and good size, but not private at all. Water hook up is lacking, (have to share). Facilities are nice and lots to do for the kids. Main beach was nice and water was great. Price was great too.
Pretty but the camping is busy and crowded
Very quiet, beautiful, well maintained and very good trails.
Really nice park, clean and RV friendly. Certain sites are a not perfectly level but are indicated when you book. Nice small beach. Perfect with kids. For the price, it's the best place around. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are immaculate. Several dumping and filling stations. There's a little camping store with the essentials and a rec center.
A great resource for the community, especially the beach and marina. Great trails offer lots of recreations options in winter and summer.
Very spacious campsites here. The showers have great water pressure and the bathrooms are clean. Our only problem was that our site was very lopsided and hilly. There were multiple potholes and no flat areas on site 120.
Great place to go for a walk alone or with friends. Easy to navigate and we'll maintained!
Nice trail system - well maintained and suitable for a quick walk. Trail marking could use some attention, but the mulched trail surfaces are very nice.
Nice views. The camping sites are not too close to each other which is good. Washrooms are clean and spread throughout. A few trails. Got a last minute reservation on long weekend as well. Apparently you can do kayaking etc on the lake as the water is very calm.
One of my go to places for hiking. Can chain a few trails together to get a good hike for the time you have. Been camping and playing here since I was a kid
Snow sledding in mactaquac was awesome experience. Also beach is well maintained.
The park is very nice! Love it but would be nice to have better signage for trails.
A great spot to play 18 in the summer, or strap on some snowshoes or cross country skis in the winter. During our visit on Family Day, there weren't any snowshoes available because the park was so busy. It was fine though - we walked the trail and enjoyed the day!
So many well maintained trails, always beautiful here at any time of year
Beautiful lakeshore campground. The lots are quite spacious and bathrooms are clean. Decent amount of hiking trails. One downside is that sometimes the algae levels get too high that the beach closes.
It is most beautiful place what I bin visit ever
Extremely well maintained facilities.
Beautiful in fall, nice beach in the summer
I've been camping here all my life, and it is a great place for families, travelers, trailers and tents. You can get wooded sites of field sites, there is a store for essentials (and a liquor store nearby), beaches, playgrounds, a rec centre for kids, activities throughout the summer, a baseball field, trails, a golf course, and cookhouses for large groups.
Nice camp grounds. Camp ground 1 is great for tents, 2 is great to get way from electricity and 3 is rocky Florida; mostly RVs and elderly people.
Lovely park, well laid out and beautiful view of the st John. Didn't stay long but will return
It's huge, wonderful and well maintained. Also commemorative plaques
While possessing some charms, the park was staffed by apathetic teenagers who knew little about the surrounding nature/geology this park. The lifeguard knew nothing about the dangers presented by the hydro dam just across from the beach. They sold overpriced and wet firewood, and seemed to have no clue that this would pose a problem for campers. There was a loud party on one of the sites (despite a rule of no excessive noise at any time) that extended well past 'lights out' time, and the park attendant held little authority to enforce silence (they just went back to the party once the attendant was out of earshot). I will not be returning.
You can’t enough of this beautiful scenery, Saint John river water is warm around beach and nice walking trails as well.
Not much for kids but really nice scenery.
I've been to this park many times to play golf or to swim at the beach. This is the first time I actually went down into the camping area. Was very impressed with how it has been developed. Great campsites privacy if you're looking for a place to camp for a weekend or a week Mactaquac Provincial Park is a place to be.
Great fun for the whole family
When we arrived the fire pit was full of trash, a full bag. The ladies room had only one stall working, with line up. Men shower had a leaking hot faucet that was dangerous to use. Motorcycle roaming and dog barking. Not a quiet place but maybe great for parties.
Beautiful park with a nice beach! Campsites are a little close together in some spots and wood is very expensive!
Has everthing. Beach, camp ground, marina, gas station, BBQ spots, golf course, rentable cabin boats, canteen, beach volleyball and more
Quick one night stop on our way back to Nova Scotia. We stay d at site 399 in campground 3. Right along the Saint John river. Nice quiet campground. Will certainly go there again.
Site was very clean, well taken care of and spacious. The beach was really nice, overall the park was relatively calm and not too noisy. We'll definitely be going again at some point, it's easy to see why this place has a good reputation. Thanks very much!
A wonderful place for camping and also with children
Beautiful campground. Nice lots, some with good privacy. Reasonably priced, well kept, and quiet. We love it, been coming with the kids and pets for 7 years.
Sliding, snowshoeing, skiing, fat bike rentals. Winter fun.
Love The Park And All It Has To Offer!! From Beautiful Views To Swimming Or Hiking It Has Everything Your Family Will Need For Fun And Excitement!!
Golf course is coming into great shape.
Good site sizes however washroom can get newer upgrades but spacious washrooms
Beautiful lots for camping. It's very clean with extra sites to cook your meals. Just wish there was a pool as the beach was closed mist of the summer due to green algae.
Beautiful spot on the Saint John River.
Love it nice park and nice camping and nice bike / walk trails
Wonderfully clean park. Sadly they would not let our dogs on the beach, part of their cleanliness factor. Otherwise this park has all we could hope for. We also had a pleasant drive by their neighbouring golf course. I'm sure anyone into golfing wouldn't have minded the diversion. Anyone into beauty would not have minded seeing the gorgeous scenery that a well kept lawn and perfectly manicured trees looks like. It was also very convenient having a snack building just across their vehicle barrier. Public washrooms on the park's grounds are also very appreciated. Especially the fact that they have FLUSH toilets. Also enjoyed the use of their picnic tables and abundant garbage receptacles. Various water outlets along the beach perimeters are great for rinsing beach sand off feet and giving dogs a drink of water.
Nice provincial campground located on the Saint John River. Lots of things to do here for the kids and also has a nice golf course for the adults.
Beautiful place any time of the year.
Great spot for all. Camped with our kids. Spend everyday on Mactaquac beach. Fantastic for small kids as they can wade out. Great sand.
We stayed in 261, was a nice spot. The park rangers made sure folks stayed quiet past 11pm, so with kids that was great. The playground is awesome as well and there was plenty of bike trails in the park. The sand boxes were closed due to COVID-19. Beach was good, however we could not use any inflatable, which was annoying.
I always love this park - camping, swimming, golf, boating. Recommend calling for camp registration; booth docking registration but free boat launching.
Great views of the river and dam. Very clean washrooms.
Great place for nature lovers or people just looking to get away from the city.
A beautiful park to go camping and a lovely beach to go swimming. What more can you ask for ?
Beautiful park! I hope to come back and go visit the pathways across the road. It would be nice if a pamphlet could be provided with information for all park hiking opportunities. Absolutely loved my site. Everyone was very friendly.
Was alright for a one night stay. Washrooms clean, staff friendly.
Been going since I was 6 months. Great place
Excellent park. Great campsites and trails.
had a really great time, very relaxing! one thing that bothered me and my boyfriend is that the Park isn't dog friendly. You can't bring them in the trails or you can't bring them swimming, it was very disappointing since we brought our dog to do exactly that.
Very good place to visit this time of year. Seeing the new growth and plants turning green.
Loved the drive down to the river. The dam has an amazing view. We drove down the golf course till we reached the beach. The water temperature is just perfect. Theres a lot of dust in the water but it soil from the river bed. There are many lifegurads on duty in the daytime. We had a fun time doing BBQ. Overall an amazing place for a nice picnic with family and friends.
Great campground. Big field with play ground and swimming for the kids. We plan on going back sometime this summer.
Treego was a blast, and the whole park is beautiful.
There were a number of sites open, and we were allowed to change our pick to a spot with more flat ground and less gravel to pitch our tent, but that being said, there seems to be quite a bit of gravel in use on some of these sites, no doubt to prevent the cars from sinking into the grass or mud after a good rain. The previous campers had left the site strewn with garbage, and my girlfriend went above and beyond to clean up their junk so the park staff would not attribute that to us. The washrooms and showers were decent and in good working order. The family camped two sites over were visited by some voracious raccoons in the middle of the night that got into their coolers and ate or ruined quite a lot of their food, and one of the coolers themselves. You might also be able to see the squirrel on my motorcycle, as he was looking for food everywhere and was quite a brazzen little guy.
Beautiful park and great camping.
Great campground, very well maintained with good seasonal rates. Nicest beach in the Fredericton area! It gets raked every day, so the sand stays soft. Lots of activities for the kids at the rec centre.
Great family campground. Clean facilities. Lots of trails and they have geocaching.
Went there during the winter. The sledding hill was awesome.
Quiet and beautiful. Well cared for park with incredible views over the fabulous St John River. Perfect for boaters.
Great place for the whole family to get out and enjoy a nice summer day. Been going there for years!
I use to come here camping when I was a kid and now I get to share this place with my own????❤
We had an amazing time flying though the trees at Treego, I highly recommend taking the two and half hours approximately that it takes to do the course! Its 100% worth the $30 a person because the thrill of heights, and a new experience is exillerating. Before going to tree go I recommend a phanny pack and not a book bag, the book bag will get caught up but definitely being water as you can work up a sweat! As you go though the course the difficulty increases but so does the fun so be sure to keep pushing though for one of the coolest parts of the course, the double water crossing via zipline! Try it for yourself you won't be disappointed!!! ????♂️????✈️
Went camping during winter time, good service, good location, no major complaints at all
Great place for snowshoeing! Lots of trails and beautiful scenery.
Golfed at Mactaquac GC. Great course very well maintained. Greens are outstanding. Long and challenging course.
well kept park with a year round slate of fun activities!
Perfect!
Beautiful sunsets here
Gem of a park. Beach and golf course. Nice campground. Perfect headpond setting.
Nice campground, helpful staff, quiet down quick at night
Went here for a school trip and loved it 10/10 would come back !!!! Snow shoeing and skiing and sliding and skating! Enjoyed it all !!!
This is what I think about when I think about camping. Good trails, not too busy, great camping atmosphere. Wish the sites were a bit bigger...my large tent barely fit.
Nice park but you have to pay to get into it
Lots to do and a great spot!
Gorgeous place. Many activities are available. Must visit to believe how amazing is it.
Customer service should know what they spot look like and only 2 services no waste.
Beautiful views and amazing locations to take in the beauty of nature
Extensive campground with over 400 campsites. The grounds include a huge day use area, beach and golf course.
Summer is fun!! I am happy that i am celebrating my birthday in here! Nice view and atmosphere with my family.. you must try here!! It was really fun!!????
Beautiful treed lots, next to golf course prices are good lots of wash rooms no charge at gate for visiting.
Beautiful campground located just minutes outside Fredericton.
Beautifully kept park and golf course close to Fredericton
We stopped here for 2 nights on our way through New Brunswick and it was a great park with lots of amenities and like it would be a great place for families - pools, parks, golfing, a beach, all of it. We were just 2 in a small tent so it was probably a bit much for us and not as much privacy as we would have liked, but the plots were clean and flat and the bathrooms were clean as well.
Had supper at the Moco Restaurant with a group of friends. Great atmosphere!
Have been going here my whole life, well maintained and great trails
Great park for camping, just wish they had septic available at the individual camp sites.
Spent 3 days camping here with our tent trailer in site 265 (unserviced site) Had a fantastic time, great site with lots of room a good level spot to set up our tent trailer. Bathroom was beside the site but did not smell and we wanted the proximity since we travel with 3 small kids. Bathrooms were also clean and had showers and a washing sink outside for dishes. Campground also had various kitchen buildings with tables, sink and wood cook stoves. Large sandy beach locate in park a short drive from the campground, beach close to the campground not as nice.
Great park for camping. Nice wooded area with electric hook-ups, large beach and golf. Not many water hook-ups.
Very beautiful park, quite secluded and out of the way. Lots of hiking potential, scenic walks and some beautiful fall colors right now. Strangely there is a golf course on site for those that want to play.
Excellent camping and great golf course
Went there on the last weekend it was open, very calm area and nice views. Wooded and open areas for trailers and tents. A beach is not too far away as well. I will be going back there in the summer months
This is a great family park. So many things to do especially if you love the outdoors. Really like how the trails around the beaver ponds are developed. The kids love catching frogs and doing a scavenger hunt. Beach is nice and golf course is great.
For $28 a night, what do you expect? But seriously the park was nice and the staffs were very friendly. I go camping a lot and this is comparable to decent parks like Darlington in Ontario, just decent with lots of younger crowds and parties. You won't be disappointed but furthermore there's no wow factor.
Really nice river if you have a boat
Another great walk in my favorite park...a little surprise in the out house????hope they are not abandoned....????2 eggs in the nest!
Peaceful place, full of nature. Great for relaxing. Come early to make the most of your $10
Well groomed trails and beautiful scenery. There are some beautiful bridges, wetlands, and great sites to see along your adventures.
This a great campground/park for the money!! Peaceful. Roomy. Decent amenities. Nice beaches in park. Fantastic scenery. Great for kids. Nice golf course in park. My only reasoning for 4/5 rating: camp store is closed this year. No pool (not a biggy considering there are 2 beaches). Most, if not all, serviced lots do not have a sewer hookup and many have no water. Also, this park should rent kayaks/canoes! It's located right on the water!!! Still...I recommend this park!
The best beach in the Fredericton region. Wonderful place for camping.
Of favourite campground to go to. This place has tons of room for the kids to play. It has a nice beach and a rec Hall with things of stuff to do and great staff. The Canteen is just me but they have lots of ice to keep things cool. We like the rustic shelters but you need to reserve then in advance as they're quite popular.
Local park when visiting family. Love this place..
Very nice beach, family friendly environment and proper changing rooms and clean bathrooms
Spacious, clean, well maintained, quiet lots of walking and biking trails. Beautiful scenery.
This place is so much fun! We went during a wellness day. So we tried out cross country skiing, snow shoeing, big bikes and a sleigh ride. So much to do at this park even when it isn't a wellness day. You can go sliding, cross country skiing are available to rent You can bring your own skis and snow shoes if you want. Many Trails that are groomed. I can't wait to check it out in the summer.
Water is awesome, the beach is a decent size, there are lifeguards. I found a lot of seaweed once you reach 4 or 5 feet deep.
Place is very clean huge park awesome staff and it has a zip line course.
My family and I always have an awesome time.
Not a bad spot! Camped there for one night and used the public beach. Both are very well managed. I can't figure out why the water hookup is so far away from the site, but other than that, it was good times.
Went snowshoeing on their beautifully maintained trails.
Love the spot person for kids beautiful scenery lots of walking trails lots to do for kids but I find they need to do a little bit more for kids interaction ball games volleyball games that's what we used to do when we were kids every night there was always something going on in the ball field or the volleyball field
Mactaquac trails are my go to woodland experience for winter hiking, snowshoeing and sledding.
It was okay.. nothing crazy
Its a beautiful park. Its kept clean and I felt safe
Lovely and kid friendly beach. Had a great day there.
Beautiful park!
Nice park
A good place to go camping, hiking, A Zip Line for Entertainment, good place for family gathering for a picnic etc. Excellent place to visit.
If you visit don't forget to try the zip lines
I met this nice family of running and jumping coaches!
Love the family campground
Nice park, be warned this park has shared water access for RVs and only dumping sites, bring extra long water hookup with splitter and extra levelling blocks, some parts are extremely uneven, and a tote along if your grey and black tanks are small.
Lovely place! We thought it was a spot only for summer at first but Winter was equally fun filled. ????
Beautiful..worth stay..and the view of St John river ..
Awesome ???? place
Very good camping. Friendly service, and a good convinience store to buy food just in case. And, the camp sites are big enough.
Always fun taking the family camping.
Great place, nice beach, walking trails, MOCO restaurant at golf course was excellent.
Great campground. #2 is perfect for kids. Rec center has lots of activities for children.
Stunning. Had supper at the lodge, meal was delicious. The park is so colourful, this is a hidden gem for sure.
Great place to disconnect and absorb all that nature has to offer!
Had great time,, but it was hot,,and they put us in a bad location twice,,first had no water, second was very rocky,,both not good if your tenting, and have an air mattress...
Lots of people there so pretty packed, but otherwise a fun time. My kids love it there!
Nice park, quiet but could use better signage as very easy to get lost.
Came here for the winter festival. Excellent place. Lot of events for people from all age groups.
Just leaving and have to say, I wouldn't pay anymore than $28 night. Although beautiful spot, had to share water, good thing we had neighbors with an extra hose to reach. No power the first night and service was terrible. Young kids, no motivation and extremely slow to help. Park needs some love and perhaps a service refresher.
Crazy fun!
Lovely place for family and kids. Had great fun at the beach.
So beautiful! Very well kept trails.
Just ride past it. No traffic. A few people there at the marina.
Slide Slide Slide. It was fantastic snow day. Perfect weather, perfect Hill, perfect company.
Well laid out and maintained. Lots of different activities for young and old. I reccomend kids between 8 and 11 bring bikes.
We stopped briefly in Mactaquac while driving out east. The park had very nice facilities and was easy to navigate. We would have liked to have spent more time there. Overall, it looked like a great park for families and longer stays! We selected a campsite with less privacy, yet found it was still quite comfortable and provided enough distance from our neighbours. We also had a nice view of the lake!
Beautiful park especially for a sunny day. Beware of bugs in the spring by coming either loads of bug spray. Overall, this is your place to go for a hike, picnic or just laying about at the beach nearby.
Great Beach. Lifeguards and canteen on site. Washrooms and change rooms as well. No inflatables, pool noodles, etc allowed.
Campsites are good. Play ground and activities for kids But showers in campground needs complete renovation.
The camping was lovely. Hardly any bugs - I was not expecting that. Super super clean washrooms. Beautiful playground for the kids. Great price. Didn't get a chance to swim but I'll be back again this summer.
Despite having reserved 4 carts, we were asked to take only 2 "to help them out". ( there were carts available) After agreeing to do so, they charged our walkers full price ( no special ). The pro sat off to the side and said nothing during this difficult conversation, until all but one of us left the pro shop. He then tried to smooth things over. Too late...we won't be back.
Didn't stay the night but went for a visit and I will definitely be booking a weekend very soon. Beautiful, well taken care of spots and nice staff.
Our family liked this place. We relaxed totally ???? house is comfortable for family 4-6 person. High quality gas grill. We lived close to the river but I met only one moscuitos. We met squirrels, chipmunks and fireflies. Good playground with some old-school stuff ???? small and big beaches are supervised by lifeguards. There are convenient store, canteen with reasonable prices. Clean washrooms. When we will buy tent - we will return ????
Beautiful, peaceful campground, beach, and hiking trails
Crowded, loud and no one practicing social distancing. It was disgustingly unsanitary and gross.
We really enjoyed ourselves here, it was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. A good place to camp if you are in the area.
Awesome activities for the kids and beautiful view
Swimming, sandy beaches with lifeguards on duty, Golf Course and nice Campground. Pay at gate for use of park.
Beautiful boardwalk trail by the beaver dams. Kids had tons of fun catching frogs!
Nice park. Friendly staff. complaint 1)The site we had listed as moderate slope. But 43 inches from trailer tongue to ground and 12 inches from bumper to ground and 4 inch left to right is not moderate. Complaint 2) the seasonal campers hog the shared water bib. Had to disconnect to use to fill our trailer tank. Complaint 3) the permanent sites (in a provincial park?) Have decks and various coloured lights that stay on all night. Light pollution. So much light hard to see stars. Those people were not even there for the 4 days we stayed . And the park staff reply was well it happens. We complained to entrance staff and they said noted. And that they were working on site changes and to complain online. Complaint 4) shared water showed as 25ft from site . Actual measured was 65 feet to power pedistal and 72 to trailer. Last note : google maps instructions wrong. At 2 km from park. Tells you to turn right at gas station. But go straight through. Park at top of hill.
Love Mactaquac ! Great spot to camp, hike, picnic and such a family friendly space. Great staff ! I would recommend it . Love nature. Take out what you take in.. Keep it clean
Beautiful park but all sites are electric only. If you have an rv you gotta fill up before going to site and dump on the way out. Noy ideal for long stay unless you use the park bathrooms.
We opted for pull-throughs, so the spots were a bit small and uneven, but not horrible. Sites were well treed and there are some nice walking trails.
Should have came here sooner. Picnic tables, canteen, clean beach. Great spot for a family day
Too early to play golf but nice to see some green on some greens.
Great place for family outings. Clean campground
Great place to spend a sunny sunday !!!
Nice day. The decks areound the pond are in poor condition and should be repaired to be safe. It's a shame to see the state of repair. It's a really wonderful place to visit...the beaver pond is great.
Very nice and family friendly place.
Amazing for barbecues for families for running around beautiful views one word fantastic
Great family park.lots of room on each site.
Went sledding on the groomed trailed and had a blast!!
Good spot for family camping need more restrooms
Course is in great shape..restaurant was excellent from the service to the meal.????
Just like home, a beautiful place to stay and play!
Fairly decent. Excellent price for camping. Washrooms could use an update but were kept fairly clean.
Beautiful beach
Safe place to swim during summer.
The water and the beach are beautiful. The campground is designed for trailers
Favorite camping spot!
One of my favourite spots in NB! Great?camping and beach and beautiful walking trails.
Clean family friedley fun campground. The main park beach is bigger and less rocky then the campground one.
This was our first time camping here. Most of the sites are good. Gravel in most sites for drainage, so hard on the feet. Nice peaceful location
Too much of a skunk problem. Don't enforce burning restrictions very well. Facilities are not what I expected.
Wonderful Park with great views and lots of trails :)
Played golf today and was pleasantly surprised. Course overall was in very good shape and staff was excellent. They are bringing it back to its past glory. Thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Generaly very good park with apot of attractions, but this year they could not find a vendor so no snacks or ice cream after long day at water front
Great weekend. Weather could have been abit better. But all good just the same.
My wife and I stayed at Mactaquac PP for 4 days, from a Tuesday to Saturday. We really liked the park, the location, basically it has everything - trails, a beach, a store with ice cream, nice workers, clean bathrooms. During the week, it was very quiet. For me, there are 2 things which keep it from being rated a 5. Many sites are not flat, making it difficult to level our trailer or even a tent. The second thing, and my main issue, is that they have allowed folks to live their full-time and put Xmas lights, tables with chairs and umbrellas, a "palm tree" made of little lights, a swinging chair, a small cherub with lights and number of other ridiculous things. For me, it made camping less enjoyable.
Beautiful place and great services

Nice park. Great trails , clean bathrooms and plenty of them.
Great round of golf at a great course! Thanks Stuart for the invite!
Always a good choice to relax and get away from it all
Awesome place has been here frequently over the years
Beautiful trails. Signage and provided map was confusing and poorly marked but thankfully it is a smaller park.
Large sites. Very quiet area
Our first trip to this beautiful park... not too crowded and very peaceful. Bathrooms are clean and there is a beautiful beach a couple minutes from campground as well as trails and playgrounds... only reason for 4 rating wad due to not having full 3 service hookups for RV at out site... we will be back!
It was awesome great beach an canteen an bathrooms were very clean
My favorite campground. It has same charm as it was 45 years ago. Plenty of clean bathrooms and shelters. Big campsites on three areas. Campground one is mostly wood edged and plenty of grass with electricity. Campground two is in woods with no services on site. Campground three wooded with electricity and water hookup is easy. No sewer service on any site. Bugs are never an issue here.
Big lots for camping, large open spaces for kids to run. There's lots of activities throughout the camping season for kids and families alike. The beach serves the purpose and the staff is very kind, accommodating and professional.
Just gorgeous and not too far from the city.
Highly recommend this park. Beautiful camping with an excellent beach!!
Always love Spookfest! They never fail to make sure the whole family has a wonderful time!
Beautiful views and great food at restaurant/bar complete with open log fireplace. Plenty of winter activities (sledding/tubing, cross-country skiing, natural outdoor skating rink and mountain biking with super wide tires). When we visited some activities were free. Would highly recommend. Would definitely return.
Nice beach for a swim. The trails are great too.
Beautiful clean trail!
Played golf there treated very well, excellent course. Great canteen service.
It was a great experience staff were great food wa excellent could have done better on the course
Great place to take the family with bicycles, very accommodating for the family who already knows how's to have fun
clean, well-managed beach park.
Great golf course. Greens are huge and true. Good fun
If you're a golfer this is the Provincial Park for you! Many good sized camp sites. Washrooms and showers always kept clean. Clean sites and well maintain grounds. Friendly staff. A little off the main road but worth the trip....drive across the dam to the Park
A place of serenity and beauty at the Beaver Ponds
Clean washrooms, nice sandy beach, lots of picnic tables, lifeguards on duty. Golf Course and camp grounds are also their.
Must stay with kids
This is my 30th year camping at this park, and feel it is a second home. I grew up, and have many great memories of camping here as a child, and now my husband and I bring our two young children here every year as well. We just spent eight nights at cabin 376 (August 18 - August 26). The week was fantastic until we were packing to leave. There was a two night “party” by a large group of young adults in their early 20s, who took a row of five campsites across from us. They cursed, swore, and blared their music as loud as possible. The rangers quickly and politely shut it down at 11:00pm, but the noise kept my three year old up, which was also fine, as we are camping, and expect people to be having a good time. The issue is the attitude of the check-in/out girls who rudely informed me that we were 15 minutes past check-out time. I was highly offended by her callous, rude, and uncaring tone. When choicing to work with the public there should be an expectation of genuine understanding and care for the customers who are loyal, and take pride in concidering the campground a “home away from home”. The other staff were all wonderful, super personable, and friendly. Other then the “millennial” service of the girls working, I would recommend.
Great trails of snowshoeing!
Nice little beach with a canteen with yummy food. Never too crowded, great place to take kids...and its free this summer!
Large lots. Clean. Great rec center. My favorite campground.
Nice quiet park with an awesome bonus feature: virtually no bugs! I’d rate it 5 stars but for a couple of things, the first being the “disabled” specific washroom/ shower block. Now, I have pretty long arms but you tell me how anyone is going to be able to use that shower seat when it’s 6 ft away from the shower! I’m yet to meet someone whom this setup works for, yet it’s so common...Oh, and being change for the laundry; they don’t keep enough at the front gate and the campers store seems to be closed in perpetuity.
Kids had a blast. Lots for my toddlers to do. Sites are private enough. Everyone was respectful and quiet enough for the kids to sleep at night. Will be back.
The campground is nice but there is very little entertainment for the adults and the rec center is disgusting, all the toys and games for kids are smashed and the five teenagers (staff) were sitting around stuck on there phones. The canteen isn't even opened this year.
Went for a first cousins sleigh ride. It was cold, but the ride was comfortable and the woods were splendid!
Enjoyed treego with the family. Different cicumstances this year with covid but the guides were great at wearing masks and keeping bubbles apart. Great job and fun had by all.
We stay at Mactaquac every year. It is a very nice park to camp in. The only complaint I have is that the sites are advertised as 15/30 Amp electrical service but this is not the case. There are very few sites that are actually 30amp.....most all have 20amp breakers. The plugs are set up for your 30amp trailer cord but unless you looked closely you wouldn't know you do not have access to a full 30 amps. When it is +39 with the humidex it is nice to be able to run your AC and other amenities in your trailer. This year my parents kept blowing the breaker (on the park power supply) when trying to run the AC in their motorhome. The park did agree to upgrade the breaker to 30amps and did so on Monday morning which was greatly appreciated. There is no maintenance workers available over the weekend so at least the breaker didn't give us issues until Sunday afternoon. Last year they upgraded the water connections in the park as well. Now there is roughly a water connection for every 2 campsites. This is a great addition. Hopefully the next upgrade is to the park's electrical system. Until that time, the booking website should update the site descriptions to accurately reflect which sites are 30amp and which (most of them) are only 20amp. This would allow us to choose a more appropriate site for our equipment.
What a great place for summer activities. Large campsites and very clean. Swimming, hiking and golfing at a beautiful course and at great prices. Will be coming back again.
A great vacation spot, as a couple or as a family. Nice, natural park. Been coming here for over 45 years
Our favorite family camping spot!
On a weekday in late September there were only three or four camping groups spread out through this beautiful park. It was as quiet as camping in the middle of the woods with amenities.
Usually love camping here.. But not sure we will be back. We got a very swampy site and went to see if we could be refunded and planned to move to a family members site and they wouldn't refund and said if we did not want the site we could leave.
Beautiful Day for a "Sunday Drive". A little walking, some picture taking and our 4 legged youngest, was in for a swim to get cooled off.. nice morning outing
Wooded campsites are awesome
Lovely park with nice camp sites and washrooms. Lovely golf course.
I enjoyed riding a horse carriage and skiing.
Beautiful place. Awsome sites great staff
Great family place! Lots to see and do, great views, quiet, clean and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay for a spell.
Nice little spot right along the water, nice golf course
Moderately spaced campsites, kids liked the recreation Centre.
Nice sites with lots of trees...BUT.. you need to bring a 250 ft hose to hook up to water....never seen such archaic standards
Quiet, perfect for short & long walks. Pretty pond with little walkway over it. Worth a ride out, certainly.
What a gorgeous location. Close to Cavendish and Summerside but much less commercial. Beautiful large grassy sites. Huge sites for renters. They sell frozen treats at the gate! Great beach
A great place to go sliding!
Our first time here and it was an amazing fun time! We will definitely be back!
Beautiful camp ground, lake near by for swimming
nice clean family friendly area
Beautiful golf course that is well maintained. Will definitely golf there again next time I am in the area
very beautiful... cuz i used 2 live an hour from there!!!
Nice little walk. Peaceful.
Beautiful place!!!
We went on a hike teen lots of wild life my daughter and I had a wonderful time
Beautiful place, but too much seaweeds
Very nice campground Great places near the river To be honest the surroundings are very beautiful but a bit dull for our taste. Really quiet and not very much trails or other things to do accept golf
I enjoy going to the beach there. They have shaded picnic table areas as well. Snack bar for those hungry kids too. In winter there is sledding and hot chocolate.
Brookside Dr: Large facility with a lot of equipment to choose from. Not too busy even at peak times. Only complaint is there should be multiple benches for bench press (currently only one).
Great rv park. Golf course. Boat docks. Gas station close by. Only 20mins out from Fredericton.
It was awesome.
Beautiful scenery.
I would definitely put this golf course on a list to play
Was a beautiful place
Very nice beach
It was amazing like always
Great camping. Lots of good sites.
Golf was great . MO CO food was very good .
Campground was fine. Good mix of open and wooded sites. Mosquitoes were at a minimum. Fake beach is hilariously artificial. The hiking trails are very wet, poorly marked and/or imaginary (couldn't find anything resembling a trail anywhere near the location shown on the map).
Wonderful campground. One of our favorites
Clean, big lots, unlimited hot water, friendly staff, quiet.
Stayed Aug 26th for 1 night Pros: Beautiful park, facilities very clean, sites are great and offers good privacy, lots of space and activities for families with kids, staff is super friendly Cons: the "lake" is man made via a local dam, the "beach" is very small, less than 50m wide and there's a boat dock fairly close by, swimming to far out is not advisable due to boating collisions danger Summary: would visit again if and only if staying 1 night as a pit stop during a longer journey, do not expect too much water activities though
Any NB provincial park are there for a reason. They're amazing ????
