An apt name for this hotel because a stay here is definitely an adventure. Pros: Friendly staff, clean accommodations, and updated modern decor. The rooftop patio is a nice touch. Cons: Beds so firm they might be a boxspring, paper thin walls that allow you to hear people's conversations and bowel movements, zero soundproofing between floors so you can constantly hear people walking around, an obnoxiously loud electric heater that constantly woke me up, insufficient amount of parking stalls (we were told to deal with on-street meter parking when the tiny lot was full), zero privacy bathroom doors, half-tub-length glass partitions instead of shower curtains that guarantee you'll get water all over the floor, inconsistent water pressure and temperature, no in-room fridges or coffee, and no elevator to assist with getting luggage upstairs or to help those with mobility issues (maybe there's a hidden service elevator but I highly doubt it). Conclusion: Stay somewhere else. I'm surprised this hotel is rated as high as it is. Spend a few more dollars for a proper hotel, or save some money and get a private room at one of the local hostels where the beds are more comfortable and the rooms are infinitely quieter.

Had refreshments @ Empire Coffee in the afternoon. Drinks & baked goods were tasty, service was friendly. I did find it expensive. Not cheap.

The kitchen is the best in town. Literally no other restaurant beats the food at the Adventure Hotel, be it in the tavern, the fine dining, or now the new Empire Coffee shop. I had a Spicy Chorizo sandwich today in the coffee shop and it was so good. The caramelized onions, the fancy bun it was on. Delicious.
