The community park is very large for a (sub)Urban play park. It has good variation in things for children and toddlers to do, plus it's fairly sheltered from the sun in the short and long hours, a gift for the hot summer days.

Beautiful big play structure area with everything you could want. Picnic tables and benches, garbage cans, bathrooms in the community center, nice short walking trail behind the park good for strollers and dog walking.

Great playground, multipurpose rooms available to rent for birthdays for a reasonable rate, gymnasium. Duck pond is great too.

I always enjoy this park. There's tons of activities for children or adults. Now I often find myself here because there's so many different Pokemon stops and a gym.

Great park and great community center. It has an outdoor fitness area for adults and a castle like playground. Get out doors and have some fresh air and some fun, rain or shine.

Love it, great park, little trail and outdoor workout equipment. Great programs and gymnasium. I will say that their front desk/registration hours are a little disappointing and can make registering in person a little more of a challenge.

We love this park! It’s for all ages and all interests. There’s an outdoor gym for -I think- 13+ And keep walking from the back door of the playground to the pond to enjoy watching birds, ducks and have fun! I hope they don’t change it like they did with the Maffeo Sutton park :/

One of Nanaimo's nicest community activity centers. Inside you've got 2 great gym facilities, perfect for floor hockey, basketball, volleyball etc. There are community classrooms as well. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Outside there is a kids playground with lots of structures, accessible areas and some activity stations. A short walk away there is also a duck pond that's a nice quiet area to watch the world go by.

I've attended meetings here and taken Tai Chi lessons, I see a lot going on at this place. Besides the indoor rooms that are configurable to be large or small, they also have indoor courts where I've seen people play basketball and pickleball, and outside there is a park and a children's play area

My grandson had a soccer birthday party utilizing the gymnasium to play and an upstairs meeting room for eating. The kids had a great time playing outside before the party and even more fun playing in the gym. So many happy faces!

Our kids absolutely love this park. So much so that we make the drive from North Cowichan at least once a month. There are so many things there to occupy them in their play and the neighborhood kids and parents are all super friendly. We highly recommend that you give this place a chance.

At least 1 park user failed to clean up after their dog near the duck pond. The smell was horrid and definitely not as much fun playing and feeding the ducks smelling someone else's dog the whole time
