REVIEWS OF Irishtown Nature Park IN Moncton

My family's favorite park, lots of trails and a beautiful view by the water. It is very well maintained and I rarely see any garbage there. They built a new bridge and there is now a dock with canoe/kayak rentals which is very cool!

Andrea Robinson

Such a beautiful nature park. The grounds and trails are well maintained year round, and there's lots of new benches installed for enjoying the scenery around the reservoir. Also, there is a fair bit of options for trail to enjoy. Love this place!

Natali.M

A nice park for walking, with beautiful lake scenery as well. Just remember to bring bug spray, since mosquitoes can be a serious problem here.

jenumaria jose

A great place to go for a walk or small hike. Lovely scenery

Lots of improvements to the trail system. Woodchips in wet area and boardwalks over marsh. Excellent trail system.

SHUBHAM MODI

What a beautiful place to go for. Peaceful place and weather. I love it. God is wonderful and merciful that this place is created by him only. A person with broken heart shall visit this place because it can cure depression.

What a beautiful park! There is such beautiful water here.. the trails are very comfortable to run on and there lots of shade to escape from the hot sun. There's lots of parking and friendly people along the trail. The park is kept clean and I love coming here over and over again. Public washrooms are available.

Pierre Richard

One of top three trails in Moncton area

nataliek fournier

Irishtown nature park is full of maintained (year long) hiking trails. A stunningly beautiful lake where you can bring your own cancoe or kayak and explore the hidden spots you can't see from land. The park is pet friendly, and has benches through out. A couple washrooms and lots of parking.

SHERWIN DIME

The park is a heaven for running, walking, kayaking, and photography. For nature lovers their try to visit this park.

Nathan MacNeil

Had a lovely time the trails, they were groomed quite well although some of the signage for going the wrong way may be made clear as we still witnessed people going the opposite direction of the trails. I'm not sure how well that can be regulated so it can not really be held against the park.

Elma Miranda-Mirza

Beautiful sights, well kept trails.

Clay Shannon

Amazing to Walk around!! I highly recommend

James Swan

Great trails for hiking or biking. Really enjoyed biking the John Howard trail, not too difficult for an inexperienced mountain bike trail.

Nikolas Robichaud

Great trails to feel your not in the city

Keith Fennell

We happened upon this park while visiting Hillsborough. Wow! Very quiet and peaceful. Bring bug spray in the summer.

Linda Berry

Beautiful hiking trails ready for every season.

Derrick MacDougall

Very flat terrain, great walking/biking trails. In the winter there are a few snowshoe trails with small bridges scattered about. There's a large man made lake as a result of creating a dam for Moncton's original water supply. You can sometimes canoe/kayak in the lake, but as global temperatures rise, we've seen more and more summers with "no usage" days due to elevated bacteria levels. If you're into Fat Biking, the snowshoe trails offer some fun. This park is fairly busy with people walking, so watch out if you're ripping through the single track portions focused on your line, as these are shared trails. There are washrooms if you park in the parking lot off Elmwood Dr. Great views of the lake in the fall when the leaves change colors.

Justin Dunn

A great place to go hiking or biking, theirs so many trails to follow and beautiful scenery. I just love this place

Kevin Carson

Ample parking, well maintained park with mature trees. Great place to take a dog for a walk. Also appears to have snow-shoe trails.

James M

I love this place. It's groomed trails offer a flat and shaded escape from the city all while providing a relaxing and scenic view. Lots of nature and wildlife here and they have even added bird feeders throughout the trails to encourage birds to come out. Restrooms at both ends including the middle of the main trail. Lots of options to make smaller hikes as well so it's definitely a good choice for a wide audience. Has a nice lake that can be used for canoeing and a dock to go out from. Lots of benches along the trails as well.

Liam McNamara

Super easy access. Beautiful grounds, I was continually stopping my hike to take more pictures. Saw a ton of wildlife. Great, wide and well maintained trails. Pack a picnic and some good walking shoes, and get out here!!

Cristina Nannarone Tran

Love this beautiful trail, you could spend a full 8hrs or more on all the trails. There are so many and it is well maintained. Plenty of look out points and beautiful things to see. Bring your walking shoes a camera and something to feed the ducks. So happy this place is just a small drive away in the city. Can not wait to go back and try more trails and see the new bridge when it is done.

Rej Allain

Really nice place foe dog walking!!

Nathan Mannett

Trails are well marked..hard packed on the main trails ...great for biking ..strollers...wheelchairs ect..smaller trails are a little muddy..no hills.

Poonam Katewa

Beautiful park

Stewart Jordan

A very well done walking park with a variety of flat, well maintained, interconnected trails allowing you to choose from a short quick walk of 300m to a much longer walk exceeding 7 or 8 km. A terrific place for people of all ages and fitness levels including those with mobility issues and wheelchairs.

Fritz “Berserk” Mathurin

Great nature park, the trails are made in a way that doesn't detract from the natural experience much. It's probably the best park to have a walk through nature in the Greater Moncton area. There are lots of birds and ducks and other small animals to hear and see.

Lidvald Haugen-Strand

Beautiful and interesting trails. Autumn colours were beautiful.

Ian McGregor

Amazing getaway right in Moncton. The dense trees and the sound of the falls and nature are a great escape. Easy well kept trails makes this a fun walk for everyone. The shorter trail will only take you ten to fifteen minutes, but will still give you that feeling of escape. There are two parking lots, one which is much closer to the lake and falls - I would recommend!

Ryleigh Hatch

Beautiful city park! Very relaxing and clean. The only thing I'd say if that I wish there were a few more maps on the trails.

Byron Rayne

A wonderful outdoor trail experience with different length trails. Groomed and forest rooted trails. The trails are maintain Ed throughout the winter and there are dedicated snowshoeing trails here as well. The reservoir can be used for boating as well. It is tested regularly and has been closed for water access due to blue green algae. The park has large, newer, clean bathrooms at the front parking lot

Kryssy Lawrence

It's so beautiful at night the sounds of the crickets and the tranquility of the water flowing through. Absolutely love it!!!

Catherine Hunter

What an amazing place to visit! This is an absolutely beautiful area! I really enjoyed everything about this park and would highly recommend this place to everyone! A breath of fresh air!

Whiskeyjack Explorations

Always a wonderful place to take a walk. I bring Ziggy(The cat) with me here every once in a while. It’s nice and quiet, away from the city life, an the dogs are very friendly, even when I bring Ziggy. Will be visiting the park on a regular basis during the summer months.

Sonia K

Gorgeous park. I only had a short time to visit but would love to come back for a longer hike! People there were SO friendly & nice ☺️

Yos M

All the trails are marked and easy to follow! Make sure you visit in the fall ????

Jenn Allman

Beautiful nature to go for a walk & biking.

Michael Yu

Had a blast walking in the park.

Marc Pelletier

Great place for a walk. Not much elevation so easy for people less inclined to hike. Great footpaths too. Accessible by wheelchair.

Nina Schwinghammer

Busy park with wide stroller paths. Dogs on leash at this park. Nice bathrooms at parking with running water. Great place for fall colors. Not a great place for trail running but good for a walk in the park sort of thing

Robyn Campbell

A super lovely trail with lots of neat mushrooms! This trail is tucked far enough away from the main road that you can’t hear any cars. The new wooden walkways are a great addition! The terrain is smooth, alternating between wood-chips covering the Trail and compact dirt and tree roots for other sections. It seems like you could bring a stroller with large wheels on this trail no problem.

Ivan W (kdehm_Veloster)

Best nature walking park in Moncton-area. This park features a combination of beautiful well-maintained trails and waterways, combined with serene atmosphere, is great for a walk with family and pet/s! There are many great spots to take photos for those long-lasting memories. Highly recommend this park over all the others in the Greater Moncton area. Fall weather should bring some wonderful fall colours to the landscape!

Julie Leibham

Amazing nature walk with the longest loop only about 45 mins I’d say.

Steve Cormier

We like mushrooming here.

Curtis Godin (Google Maps Editor)

Very beautiful park with lots of wildlife and wilderness.

Joshua Harris

It's a great nature park, lots of trails. They have public washrooms at the entrance as well as at the main trail intersection. Only 4 stars because you can hear traffic and occasionally barking dogs from the local SPCA. Which, in my opinion, diminishes the "nature" experience. Definitely my favourite trail in Moncton.

Arjun Damodar

Such a beautiful place. Very photogenic and the fall colors are simply mind blowing.

William “Ray” Drysdale

Guess who I seen today at Irishtown Nature Park... Joe the Noem.

Enado

Good place for an evening walk, ride or run.

Sean Tapley

There are lots of beautiful dog friendly trails to explore no matter what your fitness level is. Great in the winter for snow shoeing.

D D

Awesome park for walking and scenery

Ivan Okello

Absolutely beautiful park. I've seen this place in all seasons and still my favourite. I love the inside trails and the gentle peacefulness from listening to the water and the birds singing. If you ever want to the blown away, visit right after a winter storm >> Absolute winter wonderland.

Benoit Casey

Lovely place to take a stroll or run in the woods.

Ehab Madokh

Good natural park, trail maintained well, good view, with a large lake. I liked the water. Free binocular to watch. Look like trails designed for pikes. Conclusion, I liked it, was a good choice, and I am sure you won't regret it

James

This is an absolutely amazing park to go to all seasons of the year. The trails are always well maintained. Perfect spot for all walking types (group, with small kids, jogging, stroll, etc.) and is a nice spot to get some fresh air. There is also a small body of water in the middle of the park, so you can usually see some ducks around as well.

Nathalie rossignol

Simply really love this park, it is beautiful and so nice to spend time in nature

Chelsey Tremblay

Love this place! Great trails of a variety of lengths and so beautiful!

Doug Ermen

Head straight to the Scout trail, then go on the John Howard trail. It's a great walk, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Jose Rodriguez

Amazing, is really clean, it been taking care of, is a place you can go with your family or by your self to walk, talk or just to be in contact with nature.

william brace

Always perfect, rain or shine. Nice canopy for walking in the forest. My dogs love it.

Jacob Gauthier

Beautiful sights and the trails are well maintained too! There are different trails you can pick depending on how much you want to walk thay day.

Lacey Fraser

Love having such a beautiful spot to explore with out kids just down the road!

Rachel Colpitts

I adore this park! It has wide trails for easy walks, narrower trails for a gentle walk/hike in the woods, and even some wilder trails that are hard to pick out by eye (they're marked, though). I love that it has a variety of trail types - my partner has mobility issues, but the availability of different levels of trail means that we don't have to miss out on enjoying nature on days when their pain severely affects their ability to walk. There are also frequent garbage bins available, unlike many parks where they are only at the entrance - and they have secure lids, so it's not a risk to the wildlife. Also unlike other parks I've been to in my life, the bins are regularly maintained - I've never seen one overflowing. A beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors and get in touch with nature as well as some history, without having to commit to a long hike or a camping trip.

Electronic Office Company Account

Park is beautiful and we go many times every month. HOWEVER - you might want to be aware that your vehicle/contents are at a high risk of being broken into. There is no security in or near the parking areas and people hang around there and steal items out of unlocked cars. We never leave our vehicle unlocked - the one time we did - we got hit.

Marianne Steeves

Beautiful wide walking trails give access to wheelchairs and self distancing we need to abide by. Great all year around.

Mario Gautreau

Nice relaxing places to take walks and take pictures of birds the leaf is changing colors

Craig Storey

Love the park. We really enjoy walking the trails through the woods and by the lake. Wished dog owners would be more attentive to picking up....

Francois Boisvert

Great place for a walk. Whether you are on your own, with family or with a dog, this is a nice place not too far from town. 15 minutes away from city center and you're there. Nice water reservoir with ducks that the kids will love

Jordan Kelloway

I'm very grateful to have this lovely walking park. There are also public washrooms. The park and facilities are well maintained. Thank you to the staff

Peter Kristensen

Beautiful setting to enjoy a stroll through the forest. Friendly people respecting social distancing. You must be tethered to your pet. They know the way back. Kidding aside the trails are well-marked. ENJOY.

Juanita Holton

Beautiful nature is beautiful, it is so quiet and just to be in nature when the city is just around the corner...

Mike

Beautiful experience and going in fall is the best time of year.

Billy M

Very nice park, very clean, great smell :)

Louis Richard

Thank you for the Floating warf. Beautiful lake perfect to practice paddleboarding. The only wild animal I spoted was a huge bird, an eagle? I am not sure. I saw a beaver dam, does anyone know if any beavers living in it? Thank you City of Moncton.

Shelley Taylor

I will be back. It was a fabulous Thanksgiving, the fall colors were probably at their best and the trails are so easy to follow. One of the best trail systems, so close to Moncton; plenty of variety. Next time, I'll bring my phone or camera to capture this gorgeous area.

Tva V

Beautiful, relaxing walking trails mix of woods and lake

dan fryer

Always great here, so many options to choose from in terms of walk length and whether it's on gravel or dirt trail. Just generally a good time on very well maintained trails.

feyzaaltun Ugurel

Beautiful and clean area for walking and relaxing.

Natasha Lobo

Beautiful and vast walking trails. You can choose different routes based on how much walking you want to do. Scenic points include a waterfall, old town reservoir and trees!

Martin

It's got a few too many man made things to distract but the side trails a fun. Dog friendly as long as you have a leash and enough trails to get more than enough exercise. Bonus in the fall as it get really colourful.

Abdullah Musheer

Nice trail park within the city. You can enjoy the lakeside view too with ducks paddling around. Beginner and Moderate level trails.

P Daigle

No words. If I could walk there everyday, I would. Go see for yourself :) me and my dog love it.

Geoff F

Lovely place to take a walk with the dog(s). Among other little animals, we were lucky enough to see a raccoon sleeping high up in a tree! Lucky for us, we were also able to spot many species of birds, a Great Woodpecker among them. Also, there's a bathroom open to visitors, with running water. Very nice and well kept park, we definitely recommend!
