The park is very well tended and clean with lots of kid friendly activities. The pirate themed playground was popular. The splash pad is currently operational. There is also a covered area if the weather turns. There is a basketball court and skate park. There is plenty of parking. Though the washrooms are closed they have setup porta potties including an accessible one. It looks like the beach volleyball courts are down for now, but it leaves some sandy play areas. It seemed that everyone was respecting social distancing and the posted playground capacity hadn't been reached while I was there.

Excellent park for kids to run and play. The sunset is amazing from here. I particularly liked the pirate theme of the park. I was surprised that there are basketball nets, gotta bring a ball next time!

Penetang has brought new fresh ideas to its waterfront in the past few yrs, refreshing it's shoreline with care and a welcoming touch to its longstanding beauty. Weather it's a summer Event for Charity or Fireworks, This small town can light up the moment for memories of a leisure stroll on its walking/biking trail to sitting on its park shore gazing at the amazing sunsets over Georgian Bay.

Great little park. Lots of parking, brand new play structure, great splash pad and huge cabana. The private theme is a hit w the kids and there isn't much sand which is clean up - also plenty of parking!

Awesome park with a large playground and splash pad for little ones. Even has a washroom that is fairly clean. Basketball nets need some work however as all three of them are leaning. Basketball is not functional right now and needs to be fixed.

10/10 Park. Well maintained, lots of room to walk, outdoor gym, beautiful waterfront path with gorgeous wrought iron statues. The statues are there as a gesture of peace from the Canadian government, but I'm sure the local reserves would've preferred the money to go towards building better infrastructure for them but what can you do?

Nothing much to say about this park, we used it to ear our lunch on a cold and windy day. Observing the park,it is clean and well kept. Kids will have a grand time as this park is all about kids, so with a lovely view of the water.

Wonderful place to take the kids during the summer I had a great time, water park for the kids to run around in and beautiful scenery, there is a huge playground with lots of parking and a pavilion with picnic tables to sit and shade to stay out of the sun for a while, love comming here

What an amazing park! Been here a number of time from Parry Sound. We come for the Splash Pad but the playground is amazing as well. It's too bad the beach is over run with geese but otherwise such a great place for the kids. Shaded picnic area too. Great job Penetang. We hope to get a Splash Pad like this in Parry Sound soon.

The splash pad is wildly enjoyable for children and adults alike. If you don't want to go into the lake, the splash pad is a great alternative. There are two playgrounds, one big one with lots of climbing and slides and a rubber floor, and a smaller one with a sand bottom. Both are a hit with the kids. There are swings for big kids, little kids, and kids with different abilities. Seriously, that last swing is awesome. Did I mention two beach volleyball courts with stands? A small basketball court? A skate park? It has all those too! Take a walk along the trails and enjoy historical plaques, nature, flowers, and adult exercise equipment! A great place to come to enjoy the sights and sounds of the area. If sunny, wear sunscreen. At dusk, bring the bug spray. You will need both.

They've done such an amazing job with this park. The sculptures and the information panels are awesome, Penetang is the landing place of Champlain in Ontario. There is plenty here for the kids too, including a cool playground and an amazing water park.

There's many sculptures spread throughout that have plaques explaining parts of Penetanguishene history that I thought were interesting. If that isn't your things there are also beautiful flowers all around and it's right by the water with a lovely scenic view.

Up to about 10 years ago we camped in Awenda Provincial Park. We have been visiting the area for about 50 years. Because of extenuating circumstances we have not been back (daughter in England, silent heart attack) What we found to the shoreline was amazing. The thought that went into the development of the Champlain - Wendat Rotary Park is amazing and educational. This should be on everyone's list to visit.

A beautiful park you must visit. Has many things to do. Skate board park, basket ball court, a beach and splash pad , a play ground . Place to have a picnic. It also has a snack bar made out of a double decker bus. Parking is free at most spots but is limited so get there early.
