Good place for hiking, especially in the fall. Has the picnic area. Better use shoes with good protectors because trails can be pretty slippery

One of the best hiking trails in Manitoba. The drive out to this park is beautiful. The start of the trail has a water pump and bathroom. The main trail is clear, with such beautiful, scenic, photo opportunities.

I wondered why there was a water faucet before the bathrooms, clearly labeled that it wasn't for drinking but rather for cleaning up. Boy did we ever find a use for it. After doing down thebshalr slide we followed the stream up the the bridge. We saw all sorts or frogs and birds. Deer tracks as well as racoon. Be aware, the ticks are horrible in this part of the province. Everyone in our group found at least 2. And thatsbwith strong repellent on. Over all, great place for hiking and seeing nature.

Great place for hiking. Even after all the rain we have had, the trails are completely hikable. True, there are some wet and muddy spots, but all were passable with minimal effort. Some really nice overlooks of the valley and surrounding farmland. A nice place for a fall walk.

Love this place. Unclear on to when it is open or not or if it matters. If it does matter, something posted online or on highway 3 would be helpful so you don't have to waste all that time and gas driving all the way out there. Beautiful scenery. Always an adventure.

Great hiking all around. Trails are maintained and are reasonably challenging. We found there to be a 200m elevation change throughout the whole main trail around the park. Mid-end of September is the best time to go!

This is a great Provincial Park near the US/Canada border. I was there this past weekend and it was very quiet. The hiking was great, with well marked paths and lots of views. There are picnic tables and a lots of shady spots around the parking lot to stop for a lunch break. There are also outhouse bathrooms on site (no running water). If you're looking for a day trip at a quiet park, I highly recommend it!

Really cool place to hike! Long hiking routes, unbelievable quiet forest. Gonna visit it in summer. Accommodation also available there, it must be great way to recreate there. We saw coyotes and birds today in the forest. Nature is alive and looking pretty good.

Wow, this park is so incredibly beautiful. Quite a few steep hills so make sure you have supportive shoes. Fairly challenging hike but the views are so worth it. Would definitely go back again

For a provincial park this place could use more than one garbage can on the trail to encourage visitors to quit littering. Otherwise well maintained and lots of picnic tables.

Nice terrain and lovely viewpoints. The trails are a bit confusing at times, but a great place to spend an autumn afternoon. It's one of Manitoba's hidden gems, nestled along a river valley that climbs, sometimes quite steeply back up to the vast rolling prairies where the horizon shows the near endless sunsets and a view of thunderstorms that are still an hour away.

What an amazing park for lunch or a hike. Great trails with varying difficulty levels. A little bit remote which means that you can hike for more than an hour without seeing anyone sometimes which is fantastic. Fun lookout platforms too!

Saturday May 1, 2021 - We began the Sunrise Trail at around 11:15am. there were several other hikers there, and the trails are definitely dog friendly ! The Sunrise Trail is washed out about 2kms in, with Barricade Signs. So we continued on to another connecting trail. There are tons of lookout points along the way that give great views of the Valley. The trail path itself is very maintained and easy to walk, however be prepared for C.A.R.D.I.O - Tons of Inclines, and for Manitoba - it was. nice change from flat prairies! We had a small/medium dog breed with us, and he handled the trail well, however I recommend bringing extra water on a hot day, as the trail is mostly in the sun. We got back to the parking lot at around 1:30pm, and finished at about 9.75kms total.
