This has been a favorite place of mine for years, and it has been improved in quite a few ways in that time period. Do watch out for rattlesnakes though... I primarily visit the river shore line, and it's such a tranquil walk. It feels quieter and wilder than other river access areas. I also recently discovered there's a small campground here! It's a nice area, so definitely worth checking out in the future.

It's a nature lovers paradise, great trails to explore, camp kitchen for rentals it's a great place to just have lunch.. see snakes :)

Went for a good walk along the river. Nice park. 41 years in Alberta, yet never seen a rattlesnake. Still haven't. But lots of wild animals.

I would give this place a 5 star review but the people using this park have zero respect for their surroundings. You can’t look anywhere without seeing trash on the ground.

Its very nice and open for taking pictures like we did. Not a lot of shade however. Great for kids that are energetic and need to burn off some fuel. Great for parents.

This is a lovely but undeveloped park. Be prepared to walk down into the valley and then back up again

This place is absolutely beautiful. An amazing spot to watch the sun rise and set. I like to come here to view the stars and meteor showers when I can. The amenities are very nice if you are going to have a gathering or picnic of any kind. The paths are good for a morning jog or just walking the dog. And a good place to enjoy the wildlife of southern Alberta.

Great place to go for a chill walk with your dog. Usually other dogs to play with without being too crowded, and the scenery is beautiful. Not as nice in the early spring as it gets very soggy. If you have a hard time keeping your dog out of water, beware the river! The water is gorgeous and you can walk right along the edge on the rocks. Two parking lots, accessible for strollers.

Great place for the dog????????☺️. A busy place, more than dog owners come. Our dog is social and has to say hi, everyone is friendly to her even when she sneaks off to say hi to another dog coming to the park, or anyone in that matter.

A nice place to get away from the frenzied gatherings like Indian Battle. But the pet-people who don't clean up after their animal is truly disgusting. But I was able to find coal in the river which in itself was an amazing find for the town of Lethbridge.

An amazing off leash dog parked tucked into the south western tip of Lethbridge. I've visited the north side dog park hundreds of times and decided to branch out last week. Was worth it! You and your dog(s) can access the Old Man River with ease. Walking trails are grave. There is one very large loop you can walk, and a few paths leading off of it. Park is tucked away from any residential or commercial areas - so along with a nice secluded nature feel, it's safe for off leash dogs as well.

Beautiful Coulee river bottom views. Pristine river water for dogs to drink and swim in. Occasionally you will find a porcupine near the big trees at the river, but that little fella stays pretty high up. Look up and across the river at Sun set to see some beautiful mature mule deer bucks. Lots of really well behaved dogs and owners. Very diverse crowd. Our mature Golden retriever and 3 legged Heins 57 always find lots of awesome dogs to burn off the energy with. I haven't had any snake encounters, but they are around, so use common sense.

Beautiful riverside off leash dog park right on the edge of town on the west side. My dog loves tromping through the water and playing with other dogs. Watch out for rattlesnakes when it’s warm out!

Great place to hike but dogs with bad behavior like to jump in my car while I snacking on pizza. The dog owner was not concerned at all. I will not hike there again due to the dogs.

Great park within 10 minutes of my house. Slow river for the dogs and nice and quiet. Unfortunately the beavers have all but destroyed the tree population. Shame, the trees are so rare around the prairie.
