Such a great place to take hikes, play soft ball and or just float the river, but be careful, lots of snakes, wildlife, and various smells when the winds are in your direction from the water treatment plant.

Nice dog trail. Some people in the parking lot smoking pot or just kinda loitering. Didnt feel comfortable leaving my car parked.

Love walking the dogs here! In closed run and off leash trails available. The river is accessible and doggy bags and rubbish bins on site.

It's one of the few places you can take your dogs and not be hassled even though it's actually a dog park for all. It has trails I believe there's about 2 km of Trail and a training pen that is significant in size and is gated. The mix of all walks of life everyone of course has been decent to me over the last 5 years and most likely will be for you as well great place to take your dog

Home of the Lethbridge Fish and Game Association Shooting Sports Facility (Member sport shooting facility - (firearms & archery), the Soft Ball Valley complex (concession available during games) and the city operated dog run (offers a largish 'off leash run'. A very nice Park with a lot going on!

Lethbridge Fish and Game Shooting facility is within the bounds of the park. Absolutely one of the best shooting facilities in Canada. If you shoot you should contact lfga.club.

I generally take my German Shepherd, Lorenzo down here. It's usually a great time, however - a lot of people still are not cleaning up after their doggies. If I can do it with my huge dog, so can they!

My daughter and I decided to have a picnic supper. I loaded up my backpack, we grabbed our bikes and headed down. There was a picnic table down by old man River so we stopped to eat there. Awesome view, a good way to spend Canada Day!

Good off leash dog park. Has an enclosed area so your pup doesn't run away while training. Right by the old man river so your dog can go for a swim on a hot day as well. Great place for socializing your dog.not terribly scenic for the owner though, right beside the soft ball diamonds and gun range.

Love it here! So far the dogs and owners are very good. Most will stop aggression in their dogs and clean up after them. Good area for exercising dog and owner.

Watch for rattlesnakes, but this is one of the most beautiful places in the world to walk dogs if you like the rugged beauty of our landscape like I do. Instead of bright colors, we have gorgeous shapes and shades. There is also a large enclosed area in case your pet is still a bit too adventurous to run free.

This is hands down the best off leash dog park in Lethbridge. It has a fenced area for pups who need a bit more work on their recall training, but the vast open space makes this a MUST for dog owners in the area. Peenaquim park has access to rock beaches on the old man River, making dogs who like to play in water very happy, and the rolling hills surrounding the park help with the wind.

Very nice fenced and unfenced off leash dog area. Would be awesome if the city of lethbridge had some means to get a water source down there for the dogs, we bring our own water for the dog, but it would be grand if we didnt have to!

My dog and I love this park! Great trails and walking paths along the river. Most of the people and dogs are very friendly. The one downfall is that there's so many people who don't pick up after their dogs when there are lots of disposal bins and poop bag dispensers. Other than that, it's great!

It’s a great place to take your dog. Start them in the fenced area till they are used to sticking close by the owner and then take the dogs out off leash. I have to agree with some of the other reviews in reference to people not cleaning up after their dogs. At times it can be a nuisance. Some people seem to think they don’t have to clean up. Maybe the City could issue a few fines to change peoples thought process???

I like the small fenced in dog park. The City provides free poop bags. Which is nice., wish there were a few more trash bins. Nice trail along the river. Nice that all the trails loop back to the parking lot.

Went tubing down the river and we got stranded here. Ended up having to walk through a field barefoot and stepped on multiple cactuses. After that we had to jump a fence to get to the road and I ended up ripping my shorts. It was overall a 2/5 experience

Way too close to the gun range. (Now they're adding disk golf?!) Also a lot of racing on the road that passes. If your dog is a runner or chaser don't off leash until far enough away or in the training gates lol Otherwise love it. So does my dog and child!
