Great park and beach. The park is well kept and the beach is great for families or just to hangout at and relax at; great spot for swimming too. The park has a kids waterpark as well. There is plenty of parking and a large parking lot so parking your vehicle will not be an issue.

The park isn't very big, so it's not a great walking space and the beach is small so it will get crowded in the summer time. Some locals were quite disrespectful of park rules and we're allowing their dog to run around.

Use to love this park as its the closest to my house my daughter loves it.. unfortunately now we've been seeing needles laying around everywhere and homeless sleeping in the park. Very upsetting.

A traditional style "park along Main Street" situated amongst tall pine trees, served by a bandshell on one side, where entertainment is provided from. Bring a lawn chair, perhaps an umbrella to escape the hot sun, and some money to shop at the vendors selling their food, drinks and other "necessities".

A winter visit at Gyro Park together with my furry friend is a nice option to get away from the deep snow. The off leash area is unfortunately not clearly marked and there is no fence. While that might be tricky during the warmer time of the year, we were the only ones there now and had a blast.

The best place that holds City functions and Concerts. Great Band Shell. Across from the Provincial Court House. The boardwalk is across the street and the sidewalk is rubbery and bouncy as you walk East to West along Lake Okanogan.

Beautiful and well maintained park right on the rivers edge. Has an abundance of perimeter foliage giving a fantastical aspect to any stroll day or night. The canteen is a great place to grab a snack when it is open. The white sand beach is also a refreshing alternative to the pool for dealing with the summer heat. Keep an eye on your youngins though because it is a river with natural currents and no designated lifeguard. 9/10 trail residents probably spend time there at some point. It is also frequented by an abundance of waterfowl, and raccoons in the night. If you are spending a day there remember to bring sunscreen and drink plenty of water. And dont pee in the river. There are bathrooms right by the concession, you can make it.

Wide open green space and large mature trees anchor this park in the middle of an established neighbourhood. The playground is pretty standard with slides and swings, benches and picnic tables, and a gravel base. There are no public washrooms. The building next to the playground is apparently the model train clubhouse but there's no signage. We were disappointed that this is not the location of Gyro Spray Park. Having the same name, it seemed logical but the spray park is actually in Brook Park.

Best starting point for taking in all of the different features of Downtown Penticton. A huge number of events are staged here all summer, so bring a lawn chair. Can get a bit sketchy after dark; stick to the daylight hours and enjoy.

Gyro park in Trail is a well maintained and well used park nestled along the bank of the Columbia river. It has nice picnic areas with beautiful river views, walking /biking trail and sandy beach perfect for sun bathing or water activities close to shore being mindful of strong river currents. The park also boasts a water spray park and clean public washrooms.

Love the beach. There is new playground equipment to climb, slide and have fun. There is a ton of grassy area, and a walking path. It has a water park, and in summer there is a concession booth. Not sure if concessions will open during this time.

Really nice park on the shore of Okanagan Lake in Penticton. Lots to see and do here. Plenty of parking. A great off leash dog park here as well. Walking distance to great food and drinks, not to mention shopping for all sorts of things. Peachfest is held here every year with awesome car shows, venders, and activities for all ages. The concerts held in the bandshell are always memorable. So come to Penticton and see what we have to offer... You won't regret it!

A Great park with lots if family stuff going on. Was an honour to see the Prime Minister visit for British Columbia day. On Friday nights they mostly have a live band playing. On Saturday mornings the market is right there as well. Very close to the beach. Lots of space to sit down and relax.

Great! But the splash pad and the cleaning shower didn't work. Love the new addition to the jungle gym though :) Also... there needs to be larger size trash bins. I saw a lot of garbage BESIDE the metal containers.
