REVIEWS OF Old Yale Park & Off Leash area IN Langley

Brian Lang

A quiet park with walking trails, a dog park, and community gardens

Not very big, and not kept clean. Poop bags everywhere!

Off leash area is decently large and is sawdust - way less muddy than most dog parks. Nice nature trails around for a walk after.

Was just a field for the longest time. But when rumours started of a planned development for some ugly townhouses, this field was quickly turned into a proper park. It's very simple, with just 2paths and a few benchs. But I wouldn't have it any other way. And in the years to come, when the rest of the neighborhood becomes grossly developed into high density. This park with be a reminder of what Murrayville once was.

Fine amount of space and benches. Does have a ton of puddles in the spring. No one cleans their poop up though so it's pretty disgusting. There were bags full of poop hanging all over the fences and thrown into the swampy puddle filled middle section of the park. for that reason, we will probably not return.

This is a small park with an inner fenced area and an outer walking area for dog's that are good off leash. Lots of birds as well so bring your binoculars!

FireDogWhiskeyReview

A very nice place to walk your dog. Has a great off leash area. Can get muddy so bring your boots.

Kayla Morin

I love taking my dog here. Very calm and peaceful as not too many people go there. Perfect for a casual walk :)

We live just down the road and this little park is wonderful if you're looking for a small walk out of the city. The gravel pathways are raised so the marsh waters don't flood the paths and there is an offleash dog park that almost always has someone visiting.

Old Yale Park in Langley is a wetland park in Langley. The park area is not large, and there is also a dog-walking field with some long chairs for the elderly to rest. There is a community yard next to the park. After the residents of nearby communities apply for registration, they can have their own small vegetable yard here. The roads in the park are small stones. Some places are low and there is a lot of stagnant water. It is not convenient to walk. I hope the Langley Park Bureau will make the pavement higher. It is best to avoid stagnant water.

Mostly a great park, but the dog area is in the low laying part of the park so when it floods I just hate to think of where all that dog waste washes into.

Pretty small area. It's fully fenced but fence is maybe 4' high. Bring boots during wet seasons.

It's great for what it is. Besides the few wacky nut jobs that show up drunk with their dogs or their opinions. Most of the poop in common areas is kept pretty well. Tons of horse flys and mosquitoes around the marshy areas (bring bug spray)

Dave Parsons

This is a pretty new dog park. There are wood chips on the ground which keep dog paws from getting muddy if you keep them out of the middle, which you probably won't. It's a dog park, let the dogs be muddy. There's a nice walking trail outside the dog park area too.

Natasha Millard

A beautiful park with a nice nature loop. There is a marsh area, a large field, a dog park, a community garden, some bee hives and a cherry tree with fresh cherries to pick and eat. I took lots of nature photos and enjoyed the scenery.

Brennan Lessick

Its awesome and well maintained

Leslie Robinson

Michelle Porteous

Nice place to walk and the washroom is open year round

Kyla Mandrella

Smells like a giant kitty litter- all bark mulch and a swamp area in the middle. There's a problem with people not throwing away their dog poop bags or not picking up entirely. Quiet park, not too many dogs. Water fountains and poop bags on site.

Matt

Great park but all dog walkers need to LEASH their dogs. Even if they say theirs are well behaved, my little dog is terrified when she is tied but the unleashed large dogs are running by or at her. There is a off leash area.

Very well kept, the driveway in is a bit hidden (depending on time of year). Very isolated, I would not suggest going alone but in a small group or with a dog is a great day (weather willing)

Not super popular usually 1 or 2 dogs in off leash area. There is a nice trail for a short getaway from the surrounding residential area.
