REVIEWS OF Campbell Valley Regional Park IN Langley

Bonnie Cunningham

Haven't been here in a couple of years and it's more beautiful than I remember.

Peter Laing

A nice place to come and hike through a peaceful valley lined with beautiful trees. Many years ago it was a working farm, you can visit the farm house (on special occasions) and see ancient fruit and nut trees in the valley.

Madison Peterson

Gorgeous park; a fabulous hour long trail walk with marshlands, meadows and hardwood trees. Also you get to see the occasional horse walking down the trail which is always nice.

Rey Jacildone

Wonderful park for picnic and walk especially summertime!

Jeffrey Whyte

Great for a family hike with lots of trails to explore. Many picnic sites. There are multiple wooden board walks, wooden bridges over the Campbell river and an old speedway to enjoy. Multiple access points off of 8th, 16th and 200th avenues mainly. Parking lots can get full on the weekends when the weather is good.

Ildiko Ban

Great park with lots of trails for walking, biking, even horse backriding I think + for kids to do exploring. There are some picnic areas as well and lots of parking.

Joan Frail

Our Seniors had a trip here to do some walking on the trails and then have a picnic lunch. The trails are plenty and all levels that you want. Easy, strenuous and in between. We had an hour walk before our delicious lunch. The weather co-operated with us for this. Very enjoyable day.

Scott Graham

Gorgeous open spaces. Great trails. Horse trails. Ponds. Picnic areas. A historic racetrack. What's not to like?

Sean Solomon

Very peaceful.

Ilke vz Bakker

What a beautiful place. Enough space that even on a sunny Saturday afternoon you can find peace and quiet. North and South exit both have great trails and lots of free parking.

Bradley Peckham

Almost five star. Four only because rude people constantly block parking spots while waiting for their buddies to come and take them. Other then that amazing spot. Be sure to bring peanuts for the squirrels. And black sunflower seeds for the birds as they will take them right out of your hand :). Enjoyable giant park to walk around in and just take in mother nature.

Greg Bruce

Great park for a walk while still being close to the city. Sometimes you will get lucky and see some great wildlife. Also there are dedicated horse trails, and who doesn't like to see a horse?

Tariq Azeem

Such a beautiful place. Visited it in Autumn on a sunny day, and it was quite busy. But still an experience. Good for family with little ones as well, as stroller moves along well. Lots of squirrels and birds along the path.

Twisted Crow

Campbell River Park was a great place to spend a day. Lots of places to look at and explore. The old Langley speedway track was cool. Had no idea it was there And along with the marsh, wildlife, paths, trails, boardwalks and bridges. Pretty flat trails and lots to see and do Descent park, worth a visit ..

Mithun Jacob

One of the best trails I love in BC. Make sure that you carry a trail map so that you don't lose your way.

Kevin Faulkner

Fantastic park! Extensive, well maintained trails. Beautiful forest and marsh settings. Dogs on leashes were common. Some people on horses, but theses trails are well marked for their use. Several enterences, with adequate parking. Picnicking areas. Outhouses.

Will A

Great regional park with multiple parking options and a large, varied trail network suitable for a range of ages and abilities.

Daniel Clouda (ensigngonnadie)

This is a fantastic piece of nature in the city. Campbell Valley Park has 2 parking areas, the north parking is wonderfully accessable for wheelchairs and leads into a wonderful easy stroll through the woods. Pay attention! You will see lots of animals here from chickadees who love landing on your fingers if you are patient, to many pairs of ducks and lots of ducklings at the right time. Squirrels and chipmunks are easy to spot and very curious about people. A lot of folks bring treats for the animals and because of that they are humanized and not afraid of people. Just make sure if you are bringing a treat, make sure it is appropriate and safe for the critters please. My family doesn't bring any, and we have plenty of awesome animal encounters without. Take a walk through the woods and a meadow and you will find yourself at the Historic Langley Speedway which is a great spot for a picnic. All in all, this is my family's favorite park in town.

Jim Orlowski

If you live in the lower mainland and haven't visited Campbell Valley you need to.... Soul refreshing quiet and green greet you with many a side trail and little pond to discover. The walks can get long and you can get away from things like washrooms and parking lots so plan your day and take your time. CV has been an 'A' list favourite of our family since the mid 70's and proven endlessly enjoyale. Try it out!

Casey Quesnelle

First time visiting this park and I have to say I thoughly enjoyed my walk. The weather was beautiful, i was walking with my dog and there was plenty of shade under the trees. I love that there are multiple paths you can go and that there are maps along the way showing you where you are. It's also great that at the main gate there are out houses and dog poop bags in case you forgot one. I didn't notice any other garbage bins along the path other that the main parking lot bit that's not a big deal. Lots of bridges to go over. My only issue is all the horse doodie along the paths but I think that's to be expected with the equestrian area.. lol.. I will definitely be returning. :)

Zoe Jean Grant

Enjoyable walking the path, lovely wild flowers. We found and Ata with ducks and that was the most fascinating part for us.

Kassidy

Beautiful park with humongous trees. Tons of paths to explore. Free parking.dog friendly. Bring some bird seeds and if your lucky you can get some friendly chickadees to eat out of your hand. Super cool experience.

Alistair Jackson

Stunning park! The group picnic area is exceptionally well provisioned: large shelter, about a dozen beautiful tables, grilling surfaces, even a special bin for hot coals.

Wei Kung

I would rate it a solid ~8/10! The little river loop trail is very well maintained and mostly has boardwalk. Will come back again with more friends and family. Flat and easy; scenic too!

Zemfira Shagal

Many trails, and never too busy. Parking spot no problem are all.

Eduardo delavega

Go there at least 3 times a week to run and enjoy nature and open space Highly recommend

karma koma

Great park especially for dogs and early morning photography.

Alex Passini

I had the opportunity of visiting this park after some meetings in the area. I took gear to go for a run in the rain and it was amazing. The main Shaggy Mane Trail is an 11km loop. There are other shorter trails which I’ll have to visit next time. The outside trail is shared with horses so watch your step. I look forward to coming back.

JaJacob Wilson

It’s a great place for families and dog walking - providing they are in a leash and the owner picks up after them.

Jaeger Mah

Such an amazing park. -Perfect for running / walking -Perfect picnicking -Tons of exploring -Free parking -Free time travel (visit and you’ll see) -Please pack your garbage out *Thank you to everyone over the last 100 years who has fought to keep this park alive. It’s a gem!

Human Being

Lots of beautiful plantlife, and sometimes you can hear coyotes howling. Facilities are handy too. Needs some road sound barriers though.

Bronson Job

This place is amazing! Endless trails and places to adventure to! Not too busy and feels very safe.

Savanna Hamilton

One of our favourite "walking parks" (as opposed to a playing park, according to my kids). Endless amounts of trails to explore, animals to see and places to run. Very well maintained.

John Song

Very clean and pleasant trails with beautiful nature. Very clean public washroom and drinking water are available. There are some picnic tables. Some parts of trails are paved with boardwalks.

Susanna Pau

Great for letting our dogs stretch his legs. Wear rubber boots and be prepared to give your pooch a bath when you get home.

Shez Nur

Amazing beauty, lovely walking trails

Natalie M

Beautiful park with so many landscapes to discover

Helen Darbyshire

Parked at the 16 Ave entrance as there’s lots of parking but it does get busy on weekends. The Little River Loop is an interesting, easy 2.5K walk through fir trees, deciduous trees, a meadow, and along boardwalks through wetland. The birds and chipmunks are incredibly tame and can be hand-fed. We didn’t have any seed, but picked some off the ground (there’s lots laying around) and held out our hands and within seconds blackcapped and chestnut chickadees and nuthatches landed on us.

Tejas Mande

One of the best regional parks in BC. Unbelievable nature views near city. Lots of open space for picnic. Beautiful, easy flat well mark trails. Parking and public washroom available. Expect to see horses.

M B

Gorgeous park. Lots of birds and small critters around. Will be back! Seems to be well maintained too. Lovely.

Angie Balbon

Beautiful giant park with so much scenery to enjoy!

Michael Strutinski

So nice, 45km of trails of all varieties, from wheelchair accessible to horse to more challenging.. wildlife abounds(love the little tiny Douglas squirrels and their 'war cries'????) and even the weeds are gorgeous!

Sonya Eaton

My husband and I met our friends for a picnic lunch in the Park. There were 10 of us altogether and it was a delicious lunch of barbequed burgers, hot dogs and my homemade vegetarian chili. After we ate lunch and packed it away, we walked around one of the trails on the Southwest corner of Campbell Valley Regional Park. I had never been at this end of the park before but thoroughly enjoyed the walk about with my friends.

JOAN CAMPBELL

Love, love the trails here and my dog loves them too. When it's hot you can find a shady trail to walk as well. You can take a short walk or a very long walk. Take the Shaggy Mane and you'll be on a long one. They're are main trails and off trails in the bush. We love them all.. As most people say, you'll see birds, squirrels and there are deer as well. I was amazed at the two beautiful owls I came across..

Sara Carlyle

Love it here. Hard to find parking sometimes though. Lots to explore. Hours and hours of different trails. Beautiful place to visit, very relaxing. A lot of birds squirrels and beautiful old trees. Avoid the perimeter horse trail to give riders some space.

Ernie Kasper

The place has an amazingly beautiful entrance and it is by all accounts, well kept! The wildlife is extremely interactive when you have a lot of bird seeds with you as well ;) So remember to pack a container full to have an experience you won't forget as the birds will land on your hands if you are patient enough. The trails are by far, very peaceful and the signs are easy to understand. Enjoy!

Margaret Dudley

Lots of dog walkers, families. Like the availability of shade. Mostly smooth for baby buggies on the main trail. Busy park with just enough parking in the am

Eni H

Tried out Geocaching at this park... with an 11 year old. Had lots of fun! Walked 10 km.

Bella L

Nice park with fresh air. It's suitable for families to hangout. But watch out the horses' poop at some trails.

Lorna Raistrick

We had fun poking around the old farmyard and enjoyed hiking the Shaggy Main trail

Suzanne White Anders

A escape from the hustle & bustle. Come for a stroll, jog, picnic.. bring the dog. See all the wildlife. Take time to enjoy the sound of birds. You can spend 15 mins or 6 hours. Many different trails of different levels. Also horses too. Spectacular any time of years.

Fraser Valley Channel

Really good for exercise

Jonathon McIntyre

I was surprised at the number of vehicles that were there when I arrived. I guess I avoid popular places most of the time. As I walked though I didn't find it was overcrowded and making the trails 1 way certainly helped. It is a lovely park with a great variety of trails through different ecosystems

Andrew

Beautiful forest trails and heritage farm make this a fantastic visit for everyone!

גל נפתלוביץ'

Beautiful area of farms. The route is easy and suitable for families. There is access to vehicles.

Brian Son

It was a calm and peaceful park to walk and talk. I could listen to birdsong merrily. I would highly recommend this place to all of my friends and family!

Anna Van

It's a relaxing walk with so many different small animals and birds.

Naveen R

Best place for hikes and you can see lots of Birds, Rabbits, Ducks, and snails.

Karin Hatch

We are enjoying exploring the trails and tracking the little birds.

Dave Patterson

Large park with good walking trails. Nice place to spend an afternoon. Bring wild bird seed for the chikedees to fly to your hand and feed them. Only downside is some of the trails are for horses so you have to watch where you walk. It's a nice park.

Kelly Sendall

Wonderful and varied selection of trails along a creek, meadow, deciduous and conifer forests. Wheelchair accessible on some trails.

Baldwin Glenn

Campbell Valley Regional Park is the perfect place for a nice trail ride with your horse. It takes quite some time to get around once and you can really enjoy nature.

THOMAS

* One With Nature * The Park Has Numerous Trails With Varying Distances That R Well Maintained. Benches 4 Pit-Stops Along the Way. There Is Plenty 2 See - - An Old Orchard, Bridges, Creeks, Ponds, Meadows and Wildlife. GR8 Place 4 a BBQ.

Tony Klassen

Great walk, lots of people and dogs. Boardwalks a bit slippery with the frost

Bruce Renton

A very well-maintained park with many trails offering a blend of meadow, hardwood forest, marshland and cedar-filled ravines. Pedestrians and horseback riders share some of the wide gravel trails. Cycling allowed on some paths. It is easy to find a secluded spot. Three parking locations on different sides of the park.

Suzanne Fallowfield

Amazing place to take a walk. From a short jaunt to many kilometers, the forest is a beautiful place to be!

Morgan Webber

Awesome park, lots of variety in length and type of trails. Bring boots if it raining as some trails are rough and very muddy.

Darrell Wrubleski

Lovely park...beware that the bathrooms at the South end of the park near nature house are closed for improvements but porta potties are in place.

Kathryn Bose

Love this park. Have been going to it for more than 20 years and its beauty still takes my breath away.

RizkyTidy !

If i could i would give this a 4 star, or even a 5 if it had a better design and more you know "accessibility" for the trails. Hiking may not be so easy and usually takes a good 2 hour walk to conquer the full loop. Overall it's fine would recommend if you want like a "challenge" instead of "scenery". (English is not my first language I probably have made a mistake)

rose o'neill

Loved it! Hiked the while trail. Expect hills and flats, perfect views!

wayne peter

Was great. Will be definitely returning.

Bryce Minar-Poole

Gorgeous and has tons of pokemon go stops and gyms ????????

Jack Peters

Campbell Valley Regional Park has great walking trails, bridges, pathways, wildlife, wetlands, washrooms and nice parking. The trails have clear directional marker posts, so it's hard to get lost. I had forgotten how nice this park is and will definitely have to walk here more often.

Stefan Oskar Neff

The Campbell Valley Park is one of the most beautiful regional parks in the lower mainland! The natural scenery is spectacular! I highly recommend this park to anyone who loves nature!

Brandon “The Fishing Doctor” Koperski

Great park with lots of trails through the forest. Squirrels, deer, coyotes, and racoons can all be seen. Even some salmon if you are here at the right time.

Cara Dick

Beautiful. Many trails. Great places for photos

Graycious Lise

So many different areas to explore. Varying degrees of difficulty for the trails. Lush ferns, rich in oxygen, beautiful flowers, a pond full of life and the sounds of frogs.

Jason Liu

Beautiful park for a walk. Nice easy trails for everyone. Lots of birds and ducks for the kids to see. Even in the winter time is nice place to be.

Michael York

Great place to walk, bike or walk dogs. Alot of horses on the paths and yes that brings horse poo. I like the fact there was not much garbage on the trails and people keep them respectfully clean aside the horse poo which isn't so bothersome as long as you watch your step. Having the mix of jogging, walking, dog walkers and horse riders all sharing the park is quite peaceful and gives the park a very upbeat good vibe.

J Toor

This park is massive. They have picnic tables, bathrooms and even dog poop bags available. Super easy and beautiful walk. Definitely worth checking out. There are several entrances to get to this park.

Libby Park Herman

Beautiful well groomed trails. Lots of choices that are clearly marked. Some trails are shared with horses, others are pedestrian only. One of my favourites.

Julie Brow

Lovely place to walk. Many trails take you through and around this beautiful forest. Expect to see horses and riders on some trails too. Ample parking in numerous areas along the road in.

U iBbi

Very beautiful park with a fully fenced dog park. (Which is where we spent all our time). Plenty of parking, lots of room, well kept, garbage available.

Noelle Lester

Got family photos done here, pretty area!

Chad Nehring

What a great place! We’ve known of it for a long time, but this was our first visit. SO many trails, you can walk for hours! We were excited to stumble upon the historic Langley Speedway in there too; we didn’t know it existed, so that was a fun surprise. We’re already talking about going back again soon for another good walk!

Hailea Dawn

Went to take the kiddo for some puddle jumping and it was great! I did not expect the squirrel to not care I was so close taking pictures either it was so cool!

Daniel Loney

It's wonderful and nice. But NOT the best place to walk dogs. It's not really meant for dogs at all... horses are what you will be seeing much so you can image off leash dogs are not the best thing. But I don't think I should doc marks for that. The park is build for horse back riding for the most part. It's about 11k round trip to walk the outer part of the park.

Kyla Mandrella

Great park / place to spend the day with the family. Some trails could be better marked, and be careful after rain, as some trails flood significantly

Harman K

Really nice park. Wife and I loved this nature walk. Lots of birds and squirrels waking around. Beautifully kept and super clean. Not too busy either

Matrika Prasad Koirala

Good for hike. There are even benches for day picnic. But I did not see tap water

Lina Lemire

Wonderful place to hike and explore. The birds are very friendly and will eat from your hand.

J.W. Milton

Unreal park it's huge. Don't bike ride through it after 9pm when the rest of your crew took a left and you went straight through the park alone and your light burnt out. I'm not sure how I didn't die. At one point is was going backwards down a hill and not on purpose. It's an amazing park though but not in the pitch black while riding a bike trying to get to the Speedway. I dropped a $50 bill and a couple $20s somehwere if you find it you can keep half.

Rupi Kahlon

So beautiful ???? Easy trails and nicely maintained park.

Latytka

So far my favourite park for a nature walk with kids. So many squirrels ???? there kids always excited to go there.

Stephanie Koutecky

Roee Ovsey

Amazing place to travel with kids and family. Beautiful and spectacular nature. Outstanding Park! Recommended to visit!

Randy S

Nice, peaceful park, a few walking trails, lots of wildlife.

Jasmin Bujak

One of the most beautiful parks in Langley. It’s just lovely there. Some areas tend to be busier than others. It’s a huge park, crossing roads in areas. The duck ponds are a favourite spot for everyone. The trail is a great walk for families, following paths onto platform walkways over the wetlands. With all sorts of birds in the air, trees, on the water and walkways. There’s other spots that open into open fields where I’ve seen deer. People riding horses throughout the quieter trails. There’s a spot in the far back on 8th avenue that’s a dedicated dog park. There’s various picnicking spots throughout the many acres of land. There’s trails that lead into the forest with beautiful old trees and a creek running through. You could spend weeks visiting the varying landscapes of this most beautiful place and still find surprises you didn’t expect to see. I love Campbell Valley Park!

J

Too quiet. If you like your own privacy, this is the place to come. Hardly any people during weekends.

Saul Morrison

Great hikes. Enjoy small birds eating birdseed from your hand. Beautiful duck pond.

Andrew van Beek

Such a beautiful park. Lots of trails and history behind this park. The old speedway is a cool spot to check out. Crazy to think it was once a place people got together to watch cars race and now its been taken over by nature. Highly recommend this park.

Debra Vonk

Several trail options. Little River loop is great for a shorter walk and the perimeter trail is nice for a long walk. Little River loop is all flat and perimeter trail is mostly flat except near the beginning where there is a medium incline hill and a short set of stairs.

Donna Nylund

Simply gorgeous any time of year

Teresa Mccart

We'll definitely come back again! Nice trails!

Kathryn Prost

Beautiful place to walk and get to know the animals a bit better. Squirrels, chipmunks, waterfowl, plenty of other birds, AND a big, gorgeous Garter snake. Awesome!!

Michele Butchart

Beautiful B.C at its best. I love the chickadees that will land on your hand for sunflower seeds ????

Evelynn Karl

Good park for a long hike with gorgeous view. Allow yourself a couple hours to leisure enjoy the view and take in the beauty. It was snowing on my last trip and still beautiful! Location is between 200th and 16th in Langley. Slippery in winter- have proper footwear.

Jamey G

Great walking trails. Lots of benches and picnic tables. Birds will eat right out of your hands!

Rick Lagerwerf

Crazy hot hot hot summer day. Love the park....love the shade of the trees. Walking these trails is always great.

jenny p

Beautiful park. Great for walking. Lots of nice trails that are easy to walk. Great for kids. Tons and tons of squirrels and chipmunks so bring peanuts or sunflower seeds for the kids (or yourself) to feed them (you're probably not supposed to but many many people do). If you bring sunflower seeds or bird seed many of the little birds will land on your hand to feed. No playground but a great place for a walk.

Amanda K

A fun easy walk with lots of educational signs! Perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors.

paula hillier

Early morning run. This is one of the most beautiful places in South Langley.

Gabriela Tessler

Great place to go for a nice walk with your dog There were lots of adorable birds and squirrels Unfortunately a few of the trails were closed due to fluding

Lucia Steeg

We went to the offleash dog park section which all the pups really enjoy and so do we. Well maintained and spacious. Especially for dogs who like to run. Not very shady so be aware when its a hot day. I did not see water there, but that may be my oversight. I would recommend taking water on hot days just in case. Can access the regional park which is awesome. We do love going there. Parking is minimal and can be a bit of a pain. Be wary when pulling out as there seems to be a few F1 drivers in training racing around.

Dalton Nadeau

Great park with beautiful trails and a homestead from the late 1800s - early 1900s

Shane D.

Great place for a nice walk, or spend the afternoon with family. Lots of parking at either the north or south end.

This park is beautiful and spacious, i hope when the flowers bloom in spring it would be even more magical.
