Beautiful. Well kept, lots of red squirrels, & birds to watch. Including a stunning pair of bald eagles. The only downside was the horrible eyesore of the old hospital painted in multi colors that make it look trashy and unatural to the surroundings. It is UGLY!

Wonderful! We visisted Sudbury from Barrie. The park is so large, we spent half day enjoying the boardwalk, the playground and the rocks. There are so many large rocks, and the garden has rough stone walls, just like in my hometown in a montain area.

Nice walking trails but the water is toxic to dogs...we found out the hard way as our puppy almost died from jumping in the water. There were no signs posted but the next week blue green algae warnings were up. Don't be fooled by the beauty....the water is not safe.

Plenty of trails with benches for rest and for looking out over Lane Ramsay. There's a large set of playground equipment that's fun for children of a variety of ages. Small sandy beaches. Public real-time are available. There's a kiosk for snacks but I'm never sure when it's open. And a great venue for music performances!

Love this park! One of Sudbury's gems imho. One can use the board walk to get to the Canoe Club all the way from Science North and its a great walk/run. In winter, the authorities clear the snow from the frozen lake to make a skating rink! It's an awesome time out on the ice then! Dragon Boat races in the summer and live music events in the amphitheatre are also very entertaining!

Bell park is beautiful. It has a long boardwalk trail that goes around the lake. Kids loved it they kept rolling down the hill. There is a gazebo near the lake. Benches through out if you need to sit and rest or just sit and enjoy the view. We went in December so lots of snow and ice. It looked gorgeous. Saw people walking their dogs. Washrooms are available, not sure if they were open. Bell park parking was closed but there is plenty of parking across the road. You can easily park and walk across to enter the park. Drop by if you are visiting Sudbury area.

More like Hell Farce. This so called park is an abomination. Besides being a site for unholy rituals, the very pinecones bear an ancient curse. When the town of scudbury isn't waking you up at 5am, sending the province into a panic with their amber alerts, the locals can be found down at old Hell park playing with Ouija Boards and what not.

This is the most amazing park here in Sudbury.. trails around the lake for active walkers and joggers... Sitting areas and benches as well as beaches. It has two one supervised and one not .. pretty small but enjoyable. I like to walk there almost every morning when the weather is good. There is a public washroom and a theatre and it is the home for concerts during summer. They also have surfing and canoe events and lots of water sports and activities. You will not be disappointed . Maybe it's just missing a coffee shop or kiosk for snacks or even a vending machine but you can find that at the Science north during the cafeterias working hours it's called elements and closes before the centre does pretty early. Hope you find my review useful feel free to ask any questions if I missed something. They also have a farmer's market during the summer weekends.

Beautiful park in the middle of the city. Great views and breeze on the lake. Bike paths are well maintained and provides a scenic way to travel through the city. Wish it didn’t close at 11 p.m. and was accessible all through the night without getting kicked out by security.

Park in the center of Sudbury just in front of the lake. It's perfect for a long walk where you can find not far from there the miners monument and the Science North Museum. I saw some people also doing Kayak in the lake. The park has all the facilities and clean washrooms.

Beautiful! A must see if you're in the area. Well maintained paths to go for a nice walk. In the winter it is so beautiful with the snow and can walk across the lake if you choose. Snow hills for tobogganing and pretty safe. Would recommend, especially to walk your furry friend or take some pretty pictures. Accessible paths as well so could use a walker/wheelchair or stroller but some patches can be icy in winter so would need to be careful.

Great place for a walk with the family - nice views of the lake and many places to stop. There's a big play structure by the main beach, and tons of parking up at the corner of Paris and York. The boardwalk runs a couple km from Science North down to the additional parking on Elizabeth street.

Simple trail over looking the water. Perfect for a jog or to walk your dog. It was a refreshing change of pace and I would love to see it in the summer. I went during mid April and it was warm enough for a long walk but cool enough that the water was still iced. There isn't a lot of fencing off so it may be a but dangerous since the false are steep or go into the water. Even without the fencing, as long as you are careful you can enjoy the view!

The mining monument is very well done and the intricate details are unbelievable. The park is also well maintained and a nice place to stop for lunch. Parking lot is across the street but there is an intersection right at the lot so easy to access the park.

Simply great with children to stroll along the lakes shores after going through the garden and the gallery where the programs are conducted. The stretch you walk along the lake shore is simply scintillating and both children and adults adore the experience. We and our children and grandchildren simply love to look for the next opportunity. You can look for an opening for a boating opportunity and go for a fishing trip in the Ramsay lake. The boardwalk itself is very easy to get to and you can walk at your speed...If you want to swim there is a small beach...If you want to snack there is a small snack bar..there are benches to sit on if you get tired...The views are /eautiful...You can take your dog but it must be on a leash..and you must clean up after doudou...There is a park for kids and a flower garden close by...Last time I was there it was a bit crowded but still very pleasan

Beautiful , large park on Lake Ramsey in Sudbury. Several small beaches and a wonderful walking/ cycling path along the side of the lake and leading to nearby "Science North". 2 large, free parking lots across the street from the entrance. Washroom facility and some picnic tables as well as many benches make this a perfect place to rest, swim, play, kayak, or have a picnic.

The city of Sudbury has really put a lot of effort to make this a pleasant experience. Whether you want to walk the boardwalk all along a few kms beside Lake Ramsay, or just stroll and sit on the many benches along the way, you are surrounded by nature. Flower beds are well kept and there is a public beach with lifeguards along the way. There are many picnic tables and well kept public washrooms also. People go there to walk, stoll, read, draw or paint, eat a picnic or swim. Science North and Imax are at one end of the boardwalk, offering unique experiences. I assume the citizens of Sudbury appreciate Bell Park as much as me, judging by the amount of people of all ages that I meet when I go.

A wonderful city park on the shores of Ramsey Lake. There is a long walking/bike path that goes along the shore including "Science North" nearby. There are also some small beaches, a public washroom, and many benches and picnic tables. The swimming is great. I parked my motor home in a large, free lot across the road from the park.

Great clean park. Various routes throughout the park that you can walk/run on and also a bike trail adjacent to the lake. Has a stage for live bands and is a great place for low to medium sized events and festivals. No doubt its a rich in green type of scenery. The people there have always been kind or kept to themselves. Always positive vibes there. Lots of rest spots too, and lookout rest points. Trails flow well into residential areas and of course into the beloved Science North of Sudbury!! ???? ????

I think this place would benefit from having a water park which is why I gave it a four star. It's a nice relaxing walk. They often have activities which is great for everyone.
