New really nice open space Campground. Plenty of free firewood provided.

Nice campground with beautiful views. Right next to a little river too. Howeber, there is no shade or trees for tarps so the weather needs to be right if you're in a tent. Also there is no water, but there are 2 other campgrounds really close (Mosquito and Waterfowl) that do have water. No showers either, but the toilets are good

Robert J Henry

Great campsite for a stay in the park, no phone service or power hookups.

Michelle Davis

Great location with beautiful views all over!! Parks Canada staff are very friendly and helpful. Sites along the creek are the best.

(Translated) More out of necessity, we came across this spacious pitch. But it was a stroke of luck without equal. ????????. More nature is not really possible. One is framed by mountains and the starry sky is phenomenal. The night costs $ 15 and firewood $ 8.80. Go and try it ❣️ (Original) Mehr aus der Not heraus sind wir auf diesen weitläufigen Stellplatz gestoßen. Aber es war ein Glücksgriff ohnegleichen . ????????.

A surprising gem just off the highway. Very open (no trees around most of the sites) but wasn't a problem. Lots of firewood. Creek nearby, super view all around. Calm.

(Translated) This camp is on a first-come, first-served basis because it is not open during the epidemic. There is an open Waterfowl Lakes Campground nearby. Because it is getting late and the Waterfowl Lakes Campground is full, there is no way to spend the night at the door. The scenery is superb.

(Translated) It's place is magical. The mountains at 360 degree. Just a big wow. I couldn't help but stay one night again when I got back from Jasper. I would have stayed there for a week.

Awesome campground. Directly next to a nice river with lots of newly designed space, new solar powered washrooms and two small lakes make this campground a lot more attractive than the older campground "Waterfowl lakes" a few kilometers further down the road to Jasper, where most of the sites are located in a dark forest and the best spots are already taken in the morning (at least during the summer). The only downside is the missing blackwater dump and refill options. But if you need to urgently dump your blackwater you can drive the seven minutes to Waterfowl Lakes and use their facilities. Use this spot as long as it is still kind of a secret or skipped by people, because it doesn't have as many facility checkmarks as other campgrounds on the official park flyer. This one was one of the best campgrounds we had during our entire tour. The views on the mountains are amazing, the river is a nice sight and the lakes allow for an evening stroll. Fireplaces and free firewood are also available.

We truly enjoyed Silverhorn Creek :) Surrounded by mountains on all sides, the scenery is breathtaking! It was so peaceful and quiet at night that you could hear the little river flowing by. If you have reserved a site in advance, there will be a list found at the kiosk with your site number, last name, and party size. There are also envelopes available for walk-up registrations. Firewood is included with your daily firepit permit, the wood can be found in the second loop next to the washrooms. Each site had a long gravel pad/driveway, perfect for any size of trailer. We had a tent with some thin foam pads and we were perfectly comfortable. The washrooms had composting toilets, but they were very well kept and clean. There are no showers available at this campsite (after searching around we discovered that most of the campsites did not have showers. The park rangers suggested the Fenlands Recreation Centre or the Upper Hot Springs as locations that both offered hot showers, I would suggest Fenlands, which is $5 per shower). The campsite was about 30 minutes from Lake Louise (towards Jasper). We found that the drive was reasonable as we visited Bow Lake, Lake Louise, Johnston Canyon, and the town of Banff. If you are looking for something a bit closer to the town of Banff, I might suggest Two Jack, Tunnel Mountain, or Johnston Canyon.

(Translated) Most beautiful campsite I have seen in my life so far! You can book in advance, but if it's not too busy I recommend reserving a site once you get there it's cheaper. There are grounds for trailers, tents or others. No service provided and cellular network that does not come in, ideal for enjoying the moment and relaxing. Wood for the fire provided in the price, public toilets. * There is no shower on this campsite. Mountains as far as the eye can see and the sunsets / sunrises are amazing. Small river nearby with transparent and pure water. If you are in the area I recommend the detour for at least one night! Very quiet campsite and curfew respected by users during my stay, so ideal for small families looking for tranquility.

(Translated) The most beautiful campsite in Banff and Jasper National Parks combined. No service but a breathtaking 360.
