Lake at the base of Sentinel Pass. Takes around 1 hour to go up from Lake Moraine. We did not climb up to pass, but it is steep, you may need to walk over slopes of glaciers so proper shoes are needed after the lake. The view is beautiful. The hike to the top is also fun but a bit tiring

Amazing place, but you should walk hard to get there.

If you go this far from Moraine Lake, you should just push on for the last 3/4 mile or so to the top of Sentinel Pass. It is well worth the extra effort.

If you're doing this hike don't do it for the lake, not really worth seeing by itself; not a particularly nice looking lake but it's not bad either. It's an easy 5 km walk to it from Moraine Lake through Larch Valley, Larch Valley is very beautiful. And a few hundred meters past the lake is Sentinel Pass, which is also pretty easy to get up. The path up to it on the col may look difficult compared to the path up through Larch Valley, but it's a pretty wide and well defined switch back with mostly solid ground and barely any loose rock. Well worth doing if you're already at the lake.

(Translated) It is not the most beautiful lake in the region but it is worth a look. you have the Valley of the Ten Peaks nearby and you can then go on to the Sentinel Pass which climbs to the top. Be careful, the hike via the Larch Valley from the lake still climbs a little. (Original) Ce n'est pas le plus beau lac de la région mais il vaut le coup d'oeil. vous avez la vallée des Dix Pics à proximité et vous pouvez enchainer ensuite sur le Sentinel Pass qui grimpe jusqu'au sommet. Attention, la randonnée via la Vallée Larch depuis le lac grimpe quand même un petit peu.
