REVIEWS OF Lake Agnes Trail View Point IN Lake Louise

This is like the halfway point up to the beehive. Cute pond to see.

I am not an avid hiker, this would've been easier with spike shoes as the trail turned to ice 1/2 way up. I saw several slips, surprisingly not me! From the top the chalet looks like a child's miniature toy. Lake Louise was frozen, but we could see glimpses of that coveted blue color from the mountain top looking towards the back side of the lake..stunning! We got rain and snow most of this hike. I imagine if uphill climbing is your only battle, you can do it!! It's worth it!!

When going on this hike be sure to bring some cash with you. By lake agnes you will arrive at a tea house that serves delicious tea and cakes! I highly recommend stopping here for lunch to soak in the nature and views!

It took me1:40 one way to get to Lake Agnes along this trail. On the way to Lake Agnes there are several view points that allow you to enjoy the beautiful view. The first view point is located at the place of the changing direction, which offers magnificent view of Lake Louise. The lake looks much brighter from this height. The second view point is an observation deck on the Lake Mirror shore, above which a sheer cliff rises. Well, the third most exciting view point is at Lake Agnes and next to the Tea House????. There are 2 ways to get from Lake Mirror to Lake Agnes, to the left of Mirror Lake and to the right along Lake Agnes Trail. To the left of Mirror Lake is a shorter path, but steeper and more dangerous. When climbing in the place in front of the wooden ladder, I had to use my hands and knees to climb. The way back along Lake Agnes Trail to Lake Mirror seemed to me more gentle and not scary. Getting to the Tea House was a real reward for all the efforts. What a pity that it only works from June to September inclusive and was closed in mid-October. At such a time, Lake Louise has not frozen yet, but the alpine Lake Mirror and Lake Agnes have. Many people used a stick to get down. And I find it reasonable, since it is difficult to control movement diring the descent, and I was constantly flying down. Summing up, I want to say that ascent of Lake Agnes Trail is a wonderful journey filled with high physical activity, danger and beautiful views????️.

This trail is a dream on earth. It’s everything you could ever ask for. Pure Nature. So peaceful. A deafening silence which makes it more stimulating and alluring. We couldn’t make it till the end of it since we started hiking maybe around 2:30ish and we were making stop to admire the stunning and silent scenery around us. I was so jubilant to be there. The hike is very doable and easy, just bring the right clothes and some liquid to hydrate yourself. Try to start hiking early especially during winter time. You don’t wanna be in the dark by 4pm in the middle of the woods with no flashlight. Just come prepare depending on what you want to do. All I want is to come back to this magnificent place sometime during spring/summer and late fall. I’d like to see it again as I did this time, no crowds. Maybe, I was super fortunate.

This is an alternate option for those who don't want to take the harder beehive trail. They call this little beehive trail and worthy he climbed. Easily doable for the kids. The views are fantastic!

Great hike with great views

It was a spectacular hike! I would highly recommend this hike if you come to lake Louise - took us 3.5 hours round trip. The way up was a bit sloppy, but you get to see Lake Louise at different angles. When you get to mirror lake and lake Agnes, the view was spectacular and undeniably one of my most memorable hikes. If you visit during the summer, it’s definitely hot, but so breezy at the top that it becomes the perfect weather

How do I rate this place anything but amazing?

Derek Kent

It’s about a 2 hour hike up hill the whole way. But the end result is worth it. Just look at the pics!

My review is bias because I did this is December. Not a difficult route, just a steady incline. Took me about 1h. I was I avalanche territory and if I took a wrong step I was more than knee deep in snow. It did mean the path was quite clearly defined but of course the higher I went the worse the conditions were. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't at least average fitness. It's a slim path so there aren't really resting spots. I'm sure the view would be amazing on a clear day.

Great trail but very crowded. The hike is a little steep but well worth getting to the Beehive, tea house or Lake Agnes.

Huu Mai

Nice moderate hike up. I prefer the Plains of the Six Glaciers Tea House, but you should try to visit both if you can.

Julie Moreno

Absolutely amazing view of lake louise from the little beehive lookout. If you walk past the tea house this is what you get! The water is a perfect blue green color and the Fairmont is beautiful. It is also a very easy hike so good for the whole family ! Also it's not very long so it's good for a day in the mountains.

ANewPaul

Beautiful place, highly recommend doing this with little beehive as it only adds a 20 minute extra hike once you've summited to the tea house. Would recommend also to bring some water and some snacks to enjoy at the top. Once you've summited to little beehive, you can climb back down to a fork in the road, one leading back to where you came (tea house) or back to the trail way below the tea house. Saves extra time for the way down! Pro tip: go diagonal on the trails down, as it is steep and can make you run too quickly on the way down.

Well worth the hike! This place is Beautiful!

Breathtaking view.

A beautiful uphill trail overlooking Lake Louise and the chateau, upon reaching the lakeside of Lake Agnes the vistas open up and a huge section of the nearby mountains and valley are visible. When we went it was early winter and packed snow comprises the path, be sure to wear breathable warm clothes and perhaps look to invest in some good microspikes to keep traction on the snow. If you walk at a good pace with lots of photo and rest breaks plan for 3ish hours. And if you are willing continue on up to the Big Beehive or Devils Thumb (they do add quite a bit extra elevation though).

Michael Robinson

This trail was much harder then I anticipated ! For the whole way to the tea house you are hiking up constant elevation. It was a killer in terms of how physically draining it was but in the end you are rewarded with some amazing scenery. There are great views of lake louise along the way,as well as a small lake called mirror lake which is a perfect resting spot, finally you reach Lake Agnes and the tea house. The teahouse is cash only but has some wonderful treats. The teahouse is very busy so my wife and I went in the "to go" line and found a bench in the shade to enjoy our goodies. Pack lots of water and snacks and be ready for a tiring hike but well worth it.

Hemant Saini

One of the best trails one could ever embark upon... the stupendous views will simply blow you away. The trail starts from Lake Louise and the upward trek takes approximately 2 hours and is well worth the effort.

HC Rodriguez

A moderate hike that will not disappoint. Any age can do this. If you are looking for a good workout, I recommend this hike.

Allan Laevens

Good hike and view. If you aren't use to elevation, be sure to give ypurself ample time, bring water and take adequate breaks. A nice pause awaits for you in the form of a tea house.

Jason Lamont

If you like long walks in one of the most beautiful places on earth then you will be fully satisfied with the effort. It is in the mountains so it isn't worth out some effort but the trail is wide and level with several switch backs to keep the steepness as minimum as possible on the side of a mountain. Loved it!

Akbar Hayat

Beautiful and easy hike. Really enjoyed. Though we went up to Devil’s Thumb.

Rajeev Sharma

Fantastic. Great hike but more importantly great views. Worth it.

Andy Savell

Nice moderate little hike 3.8kms up to tea house. Elevation gain of about 1200ft.

Keen Albelou Garrido

Lake Agnes Teahouse. Great view and place. Make sure to pack bag for any garbage. As no garbage bin on the area.

jaina shah

View is not worth the hike. Tea house is amazing !

Khelan Soogrim

Decent hike to the top, allowing you to see different angles of Lake Louise. The teahouse is really busy, but offers a nice reward at the top.

Henrik Thystrup

Nice experience. You walk for an hour and suddenly a cottage is there on the brink of a lake and you are served by English people providing scones and tea. A bit surreal but differently a visit worth. The scones and tea is wonderful.

Marjolaine G

Great trail, easy to get to and a good spot for a snack before heading all the way up to the Teahouse. The lake is one of my favourites - the water is very blue and serene.

ronald james jabulin

Pretty awesome views!

Sunny Shah

Great hike and beautiful viewpoint. Very busy trail on a gorgeous summer day.

Robert Rynard

Great trail with views of Lake Louise and the Fairmont. Trail is fairly crowded even on weekdays. Definitely worth the effort.

Karol Gawrych

The viewpoint is incredible, but it shouldn't take away from the hike. As a warning, it is mostly an uphill climb consisting of switchbacks. However, do not be deterred! This was one of our favorite hikes in the Lake Louise area. You get the serenity of the hike itself and the vistas at mirror lake, the viewpoint, and Lake Agnes. As a note, this path is likely swarmed in the summer so attempt to come during shoulder season - and bring your crampons!

Julie Hagner

Great hike. Started around 10:30am by the end the trail was very slippery. I recommend going earlier in the day.

J Austad

Worth the effort - just past mirror lake.

Nabil Babu

Worth every step for that view, sorry not posting any photos

Sebastian Mueller

Great hike with simply put amazing views. In the winter it can become strenuous but if you are used to walking it’s really no issue. Fun hike overall that will take you a couple of hours depending on your speeds. It is quite some elevation gain but you will get rewarded with amazing views. Make sure to bring snow shoes in the winter and walking sticks as you will need them since the snow can get very high. Amazing views! Would recommend to anyone in the St. Louise area!

Graham Jones

Another great hiking spot... can go up part way for great views... good for all ages
