Great place, clean washrooms that flush. Campsites are nice. Everywhere we looked was full other then here since it's a first come first serve with no reservations. You drive in and pick your own site. Only issue I had was 30$ a night for most sites unless u don't have a fire pit. And for us we couldn't use the pit since there was a fire ban so prices should drop if there is a ban

(Translated) A clean site with a place to make a fire as well as free firewood! The bathrooms are clean. There is also a place to do the dishes with hot equ. No showers otherwise it would be 5 star.

Well maintained, the campground is very clean and organized. The location is very convenient for a few hikes nearby and only a short drive away from Banff and Lake Louise. The price is very reasonable, it was 21.50 per night when I went at the end of August 2019

Sweet Travel Of Mine

The location of this place is great, its right in the middle of banff and lake louise. There is a nice little stream that flows through the campsite and is beside most lots. It is a self register campsite which is nice so you dont have to wait in line forever, and they give you a decent amount of room, although the ground is a bit hard if your tenting. The bathrooms are clean for the most part, (they dont have showers though)and there are lots of taps spread around the site, so you dont have to walk far for clean water. There are also more accomidations.

Small campground, clean bathroom, good wood pile. Close to the road. Rather noisy with the train, helicopters, scooters, cars, trucks. First come first served and people were arriving at 9am to get a spot, early to mid September. We stayed 3 nights but staying 2 would have been better. Lots of people stay just one night.

(Translated) You can hear the trains honking all night but nice campsite (Original) Man hört die Züge die ganze Nacht hupen aber schöner Campingplatz

My favourite place to spend the Canada Day long weekend. No reservations, so get here early!

Great campsite, flush toilets, bear boxes (bit of a walk), drinking water, flush toilets, cook shelters. Was packed when I went, didn't get a spot and camped next to the shelter with another stranded cyclist - Banff needs more sites, especially walk-ins for cyclists and hikers!

(Translated) A tranquil camping for the aforementioned population The only thing that is missing is tomorrow's pieces in the Services that do not have filling or emptying of water from the motorhomes and it has light for connection. We had to put some logs at the entrance of the plots so that we would not find them occupied as it already happened to us once (Original) un càmping tranquil a les afores de com que población Lo único que encuentra falta es matin piezas en los Servicios i que no dispone i de servicio de llenado ni de vaciado de aguas de las autocaravanas de tiene luz para conexion. Tuvimos que poner unos troncos en la entrada de las parcelas para que no nos las encontráramos ocupadas como ya nos pasó una vez

This was an OK little campground just a short ways into Banff park. You absolutely need to have a campground spot in Banff, as there is no boondocking and it is heavily policed. The campground was nothing too special, and it definitely was crowded (I got the last spot). I was looking for a nice hike nearby, and went up Castle Mountain, which was a long slog thru monotonous forest with almost no views at all until the very top -- I'd recommend some other hike.

Great campground! Lots of space and don’t feel like you’re on top of other people. Nice bathrooms - no showers but flushing toilets and sinks! Really enjoyed our stay.

This is a little camping gem for people that want front country camping away from the busyness (and convenience) of the main Tunnel Mountain, Two Jack Lake and Lake Louise campgrounds. No reservations, though, so it's also hit and miss in the peak season. The sites are unserviced and there are no showers.

Great camping ground. It's a first come first serve basis. I'd suggest grabbing a spot first before playing at the entrance kiosk/desk, but stop over at the entrance desk/kiosk first to grab some envelopes. Take a look at the site posts to see when the current campers are leaving, or talk to them. Our group ended up getting the best site on the camp ground, which was right beside the tiny waterfall. Overall it's a great site.

Very good camping site

Expensive consider there's no shower but not as expensive as the joke down the road. Fire pits are boss.

Great campground. Very quiet and peaceful between the trees. Cheap and with free firewood available. Also toilet building and washing facilities, no showers. This was also the first time we encountered a bear (see picture). He came out of the woods and walked by at a close distance! Just magical! This makes you realize that you can encounter bears any time and everywhere!

Amazing campsite. We arrived early and managed to get a spot (very busy so would recommend the early start). Flushing toilets, warm water and a power socket! Also a good indoor area if it rained. Loved this campsite, good location to drive to walks too!

Charlotte Wastell

Minus one star for not having showers, and another train track near by. But if you just want to relax for a day before continuing you trip I do recommend it.

Great campground 1st come 1st served so get up early !! We arrived at 8:30am and had the site number 3 : awesome!! It’s quiet despite the street behind. Not expensive (21$), huge site with fire pit and great picnic table. Not windy, no mosquitoes!! Potable water just in front of us. Perfect location to visit Banff as it’s 20 minutes away from Banff city and Lake Louise. The only thing is the restroom was at the other side of the campground but it’s very clean ! Don’t try to not pay your fire permit as the Rangers comes very often at anytime !

Karina Fioritti
