It could just be because I came a little late in the year... But my son and I went to visit early September. There was only another child there... And the water park, though fun - developed a bit of a ring of slipperyness around the outside edge of the water park portion (It's going to happen though... Especially when you're dealing with water. Constant water. Being splashed everywhere) Very nice though. A great shopping area if you're looking for outlet centers... (Much like the smart centers in Cambridge and Kitchener... But ALSO with food places and the park in the center) AND... the splash pad provides a good place to rest and cool off from all the walking you'll do lol. The splash pad does offer a greater variety of splashy things though, and my son did quite enjoy investigating the park in its entirety. I also had fun following him and watching him discover these things (he was just a toddler at the time...)

It is a wonderful idea to have a splash park on the middle of the boardwalk. It is a fun splashpad, and great for kids from about 2-8 years old. The playground is another matter. From afar, it looks great. On closer inspection, it is the most unplayable play strucute I have seen. The swings are secured, so they don't swing. The climbing structure is so steep you can't climb. It is a huge disappointment.

our favorite Splash Pad! We drive all the way from Cambridge to go here. There's all kinds of little restaurants and shops nearby, in case you need something. We've never ever lacked for a place to sit, and can almost always obtain a picnic table. Bathrooms/changerooms on site and they're always clean. Highly recommend

Amazing!! This is a really well designed splash pad AND playground -- lots of colour, interesting features and types of spray. The playground is great for ages 4 - 11 yrs with many challenging climbing features. FREE WIFI. Seating is all the way around the pad which allows parents to watch children easily. Additionally there's SHADE covers for the seating making it comfortable to sit even on hot days. There are 7 picnic tables with adjustable umbrellas for snack time or lunch, and two large clean family washrooms. It's also surrounded by shops and cafes with healthy food -- Fiddleheads, Chopped Leaf, Cobs Bread and Booster Juice and a convenience store. Overall a FANTASTIC addition to The Boardwalk. Wish I could give it 6 stars.

It's a bit smaller than your average splash pad but my kids love it! They always opt to go here over the bigger ones. It is well maintained and washrooms are clean. The kids love splashing and then running over to the climbing park to dry off.

A must go place for the summer time, specially on those heat wave days. The splash pad and the two play areas on either side of the splash pad are fun and unique. Haven't seen anything like it elsewhere. They've a lot of sitting options for parents all around the play area.

It was great taking my kids there, they had alot of fun. I wish they had more shaded sitting area. There's alot of shops around to grab a quick bite/snack & a smoothie bar. Will definitely visit again, but bring a chair if it's a warm day. Definitely a popular place to visit.

Not a user of said Splash pad but I think that it was a very awesome idea for the plaza. I would recommend child care as well, allow parents to drop off and sign their kids in while they go shopping, only to curb the parents who are doing that already without ensuring proper safety measures are taken

Great idea, but insane placement. This doesn't get a 4 or 5 because the smell coming from the dump: that is less than 200m away, is too overpowering. Look between the buildings you can see seagulls and and papers flying around. The place is gross.

Near great restaurants, well kept, soft ground so kids dont skin their knees. Great play area. Only didn't provide 5 stars as the play areas are for kids a little bit older. Along the lines of 4+. Good shade and plenty of seating for adults.

So the splashpad and park are cool and all. However, the splashpads's water turns off automatically at 8:00pm, but the washrooms/change rooms seem to be closed around 7:30 so kids can't properly dry off. Could you please make them more accessible after/near closing time? Thanks.

Love this splash pad. It is small enough that I don't need to run around constantly to keep an eye on my 3 year old, and having been pregnant this summer that's a huge plus!! There are lots of picnic tables with umbrellas for shade, as well as several wingback chairs under shade for parents. It isn't overly crowded and it's kept super clean. I used to hit up Victoria Park's splash pad in Kitchener, but this is our go-to splash pad now. It is a little out of the way, but really worth it. Parking is also easy, the splash pad is just on the other side of a parking area kind of away from shops so there are usually spots available.

Great place for kids to go and enjoy themselves, and for adults to be able to do something too. Due to the free WiFi, parents will not be bored doing nothing, but have a distraction. Since it is in the boardwalk, it is a perfect place to go to treat your kids after some shopping. The splash circle itself is great for kids and has a dry playground near so that kids can chose to not get wet.

The splash pad itself is nice, however, it makes me a nervous wreck for my 2.5 year old as it's placed right next to a busy roundabout without a fence or really any type of barrier. There are a few rocks and shrubs used as a "fence" but we all know that's not enough to stop a 2 year old ???? I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before we see a news article about a child being hit by a car there ????

Great space for kids of all ages. As this is a privately owned and not run by the city, the splash pad stays open later in the season. There are only two bathroom / change room stalls, but at least they are quite large so you can get the whole family in there at the same time. There are two separate play structures too, which is nice to separate some of the older kids from the smaller ones. Note that there is no surrounding park or greenspace. Having said that, the play area is quite large and can accommodate quite a few people.

This is an excellent splash pad. The ground is some kind of foam, instead of concrete like some splash pads. There's two washrooms, free Wifi, and some nice stores nearby. On the downside, it's near a busy roundabout. But I still find it nice and relaxing to spend an afternoon here with the kids.

What a great break to take your kids while shopping at Ira Needles Mall and splash pad. Clean change rooms and fun for the kids before or after shopping for the family or yourself. Or quick lunch date with friens and their little ones. Nice to see the developer providing an outlet for kids/families to enjoy. Next expansion should be outdoor ice rink and music and outdoor hot choc stand & pastry treats. More options to attract famalies
