We go here frequently and have lots of fun. Lots of places to enjoy hiking, biking, skating and a lot more fun activities.. Must visit if you live near by.. Cheers
Great playground and splash pad.
Perfect just perfect this place great for exercise and such
It's good children's park with great enjoyments for kids ????
Good place for all ages people. My 3 years old loved the play ground and splash pad in summer. Now in winter we enjoyed Tobago there.
Nice park full of activities for kids, younger kids and adults too. Everyone can spend good amount of time the park. I can't say if it is unsafe to go there right now because it was bit crowded with kids.
Its a huge hill, free to use. The lookout from top is over city, wide and clear.
A quality fun-filled park with a splash pad, a mountainous view and acres of land to top of it, all on a hill! A must visit for families wanting to stretch out and enjoy the nature scape with their kids and loved ones. A very family-oriented place for everyone to visit and enjoy!
good for hiking, biking, skateboard. Nice view on the top.
This place is awesome!!! A very big hill with a nice view of the city, that is loaded bike features. I come from Windsor just to ride my bike to hit the ramps here.
Awesome place for all ages. Large playground, giant green field, the "trash" hill (yes, it is actually trash hill, the site used be city damp). There skate park and area for bike jumping. In winter, best place in town for tobbogannjng.
I was little sad... Because, almost place can't use park this summer to until next summer. I hope will be open soon... And if you go to the park, only can enter on Ottawa Street. On Block Line Rd couldn't enter to the park.
Pretty impressive what they did with this landfill area. Lovely park.
Park was very very busy at the Waterpark and playground areas. Lots of family seating.
This is a great large open park with a splash area for the kids. It's very frustrating that their washrooms are closed (June). I guess they are using covid as the excuse. There are always bushes if you need to go badly. There are very few trees and shady areas, so don't take your dog here on hot days.
McLennan Park is a really beautiful and wonderful place to be at with your family and/or friends or even your furry little four legged pal! McLennan features a large playground for "kids" of all sizes, a large dog park with benches and a poop bag dispenser for us, a water park, bike park, skateboard park, volleyball sand + nets, a huge toboggan hill, a large hill for people to stroll and get a good view of the city, and much much more. On some special days there are even concerts and festivals available at the park. So if you have never been here before I highly recommend that you do.
Pros: - Good fenced in lot with part bush, part open concept for your pup to run free. In wet weather, beware of along the fence where there's water (mud...) build …
Beautiful fun park. Toboggan hill, enclosed dog park and a playground. It is very well maintained.
Loved it. Good place for skating and pictures.
It is a good place for summer and winter. I enjoy both the time. In summer you can enjoy the lovely weather by taking a walk. In winter you can do sliding. It's a great experience.
The best place for bikers to downhill in Kitchener. Wonderful view from the hill, but playground was overcrowded.
Entrance from Block line Road, Google maps direction doesn't end on correct location, you have to take either left or right depending on where you are coming from. Lots of options for kids to play, big kids play area, basketball court, tuborging hill, skate park, bike park, dog park, trail, play ground. Kids will enjoy the parks. - Restrooms closed for the season
One of the best parks in tri-city. Perfect for all seasons. Beautiful and huge. In summers, you can enjoy the exciting bike tracks, playgrounds and ball courts along with a short hike! In winters, you can enjoy snow sledging without any restrictions or fee.
Great outdoor park, Lots of free parking kids love being here many fields, volleyball field, skateboarding basketball field, Give it a try take your kids there they will love it.
It’s a great place to go let the dog run. Fenced in, lots of other dogs. It can be very busy at times but other times not so busy!
This is a great place to go tobogganing for any age. There are a lot of different hills and some cool slopes and turns for people who are into dirt biking and more extreme stuff. There's also a basketball court, dog park, and a lot of space for getting outdoor exercise.
Basketball court, dog off-leash park, kids play, picnic areas, sliding places, it's really enjoyable!
It is one of the better park in the city of Kitchener. It is nice and bright. I believe once they are done with the construction updates it will be much better.
It was my son's first time in a park, it was a lot of fun, everything is nice and very hygienic
Free wifi is a plus.. great location for hill walks, bike park, dog park, kiddies splash pad and a great playground for kids. Open fields for sports, few basketball courts and Yoga classes I saw there... lots of family fun recreation, highly family recommended ????
Beautiful park. Its very big. Big soccer ???? playground and skateboard ???? park. It even good for some mountain bike ????♀️ riding. Entire city looks beautiful from the hill. I always love going there in summer.
Did someone know what just happened to the nets of volleyball courts. Lol someone took off all the three nets.
Very nice and clean, awesome view from the top.
Really nice place for biking and walking.
It is really nice place to spend time with family and friends, great social environment with different sports and activity options….
This place is GORGEOUS, you'd never think it used to be a landfill ! Very good place to walk some local trails, they also have a splash pad, skate park, bike park, playground, dog park and a public washroom that is closed right …
Very family oriented, relaxing place to visit.
Best place for running 5K runs
Great tobogganing hill. Kids loved it. Be careful about parking. Got a $25 ticket for "parking on private property". There was no prohibition or sign telling otherwise. City representative can't explain why I got it as there wasn't any parking violation as commonly understood. Offered to reduce it to $15. Looks like a cash grab of a small amount expecting not worth challenging. Unfair for a diligent driver who took care to check for any no parking signs before parking.
Great space to enjoy the sun and social activities
Always fun to come here. Mount trashmore is where we come for tobogganing after a nice snow fall. The parking was closed on the entrance side. Some people were parked inside.. maybe that is a parking violation possibility... we parked by the bmo.
Really cool park! The playground has a ton of cool features for any child. Would definitely go back.
Sometimes a little over packed with children, but my children love it here. Sometimes older children are there and can be rude and what not then again they are just kids as well.
Great park for kids and the dog park is nice too... but WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE there for a "stay at home order"... stay home!
Very nice well kept park. Super sunsets! Very popular.
Good place to spend your time☺️
Nice place to spend with family. Good for a walk. Great landscapes.
Great place to walk. Nice groomed trails. Some challenging Hills but worth it for the spectacular view at the top!
A beautiful place to go around and visit and also to have fun with loved one's
Love this place..... Peace of mind.
My kids always have fun here. We enjoy the scenery from the top of the big hill!
Fun ramps for bikes!! Also good scooter/skateboard ramps with good walking trails! Also it has a splash pad for kids and a dog park.
Busy all the time but has a nice field and playground
It's a very beautiful park. I can't believe I've been in Kitchener for this long and just discovered this place. It's great for any type of occasion.
A very good spot for picnic and a great view of sunset at the top.
Discovered the bike park - can easily maintain distance and appropriate for kids and adults of all levels. Not all green (beginner) runs are great for young kids, but there are a couple of doable runs for them to practise on and keep them busy, and still have fun. Anticipate falls and a possibly a few tears. Little to no shade so it's great for a mild spring or fall day.
I DONT KNOW WHAT McLennan Park is!!! This is MOUNT TRASHMORE!!! #90skid
Fantastic park with lots to do! The playground was incredible for curious minds and the splash pad is large enough for the kids to have fun while still being safely supervised. The best part is how clean everything was, especially the sand area.
What a beautiful park! It's huge. They have a huge dog park. The bike park is insane. They have ramps from beginners to experienced. The playground is so fun. There's so much to do. Definitely head out early. Pack a lunch and enjoy the day there.
Such a fantastic view of the city. Plenty of walking space with facilities as well. Worth a visit on its own, or as part of a longer walk to Huron Natural Area!
Wonderful place for all ages.
Amazing view from the top... on a nice cloudy day. Only thing better would be areas that provide shade
This is a great spot with lots of space and a variety of activities. It's playground and splash pad, a giant hill with a view over the city, a dog park, and trails to the east and west.
Good park, most of the time busy for winter games and at summertime, the park has a dog park too, but doesn't have enough parking for the cars at the busy time
An amazing family spot tucked away off of Ottawa st. Huge public space. Skate park, bicycle downhill trails, splash pad and play area for the little ones. Basketball courts, volley sand courts. Clean and beautiful. It's great user abide the rules about garbage, don't use the trails when raining. Great space check in out from April -Nov.
Mt Trashmore!!! What else needs to be said about this awesome park. Year round fun to be found at the playground, walking/hiking around, or climbing to the top of the hill for a fun look over kitchener. With all the ski hills closed down my kids and I have been tobogganing and snowboarding at McLennan.
There is so much to do here. The skate park and biking trails are nice. There is a huge playground and splash pad if you have kids and a dog park. The view from the top of the hill is nice too.
Beautiful park with bmx cycle track, skaters have their special tracks with variety of shapes to do stunts. Also have rides for kids to enjoy, a benches to sit and have a coffee or whatever with want. Main thing you can see half of the Kitchener from the top
Amazing view! Great for walks and nice play area.
Very nice and spacious. Lots of playground space and open fields.
My son LOVES going to McLennan Park. He is 22 months and super active but after a trip to the park he is completely dead and ready for a nap (I love it). The sand box is his favourite thing, I also love that there is a splash pad there too. There is literally something there for every age group!! My favourite park in KW
Was a good park. Though google map will not take you to actual entrance. You have to take right and go 1km then turn right
Awesome, awesome, awesome park for the whole family. Lots for the kids to do. Playground is cool. Splash pad is spacious. Lots of walking and biking trails and paths available. A nice dog park that's usually very social. Skate park for the xtremes. Sliding hills. Basketball courts. Awesome views. Excellent greenspace for native pollination. All built on an existing landfill and offers the community a very useful, model of re-purposed space. Kitchener should be proud! Favourite park to visit so I am glad to live nearby.
Such a great park! Splash pad, skatepark, downhill mountain biking, dog park, walking trails. So much variety!
Article in KW record says a lawyer hurt himself last year so now the hill is being cut in 1/2 to prevent injuries and suing potential. Very sad stupid ppl are as usual able to ruin the fun had by all. We have always used the hill for tubing. ????????
Amazing walk with a nice view point of the whole city. Also a good place to take your kids and/or your pets. Has a dog park and bike parks with a great bike course.
Beautiful, quiet and relaxing place to enjoy the long summer days. Witnessing the sunset from the top of the hill is a great way to end a hard day!
Heard about this park as a recent newcomer to Kitchener. I was at this park for 2 hours. Had a lovely leisurely walk. It's absolutely amazing, a large splash pad for the kids, playground and the park is huge with many trails. There is a bike path but it was closed but as pedestrians you can still walk up the very steep hill. You get a work out trust me on that. It's a beautiful day. The only downside was the washrooms were closed so you have to use those ghastly potables. The main entrance is closed from Ottawa Street so you have to enter from Blackhorne Drive. All in all an enjoyable experience. Will visit again albeit all the construction been done on Ottawa Street.
Great park to rest, hang out and practice your bike terrain skills on the terrain park.
Could be improved. Nice park but is nothing happening there
Came to use the dog park. We all enjoyed our time! Spent 2 hours!!! Met a lot of nice people and cute dogs!!! I do however wish the speed bumps on the way in had some paint or a sign. But all and all we will be back!
I LOVE IT HERE BEST PLACE EVER. I have been coming here all the time seems last May, the view is bomb love going here to watch the sunsets. there is NOT a lot of people there best thing about it it’s super quiet up the mountains. I do recommend getting stairs it is really hard to walk up the mountains if it’s your first time if you fall you will be done for it really recommend tho!
Great park . Splashpad is great too. Not much shade tho
Great park all around. Skatepark is lacking now that the bowl is gone
I love going to this park with kids, it offers everything whether it be a water play area, play/slides, biking, walk/hike. I loved sledding here, it was my first time last season and definitely i will be going back. ????
The top of the hill in this park is possibly one of the best places to view a sunset in Kitchener-Waterloo.
Great place for the entire family! Variety of things to do! - Trails - Bike park & trail - Skate park - Playground - Basketball & Volleyball court - Leash free ???? park Just to name a few!
Very spacious and lovely park. We usually enjoy our time in there.
Fenced in dog park. And it supplies poop bags and drinking water for dogs. Kids playground a short distance from dog park. A concrete skate park. And BMX tracks with different skill level jumps. A toboggan Hill in the winter and good climb good view in the summer. After dark you might hear coyotes howling in the woods. If you bring small dogs keep them close LOL
I love everything about this park, except the play ground. It's pretty run down and the main attraction structure, is a spinning wheel that you can climb the ropes to the top, but it doesn't spin very well at all. Me and a few other parents exhausted ourselves trying to make the kids happy haha we were unsuccessful. The rest of the park is awesome! There are dirt hill ramp thing me and my son love the adventure up to the top of the hill where there is a bench and at night it's a beautiful sight of the "city". There is a little skate park for skateboarding, a dog park, a splash pad, a baseball diamond I beleive. A GREAT tobogganing hill. A soccer field I think lol. This is a great park.
Good view of the city
Nice park for viewing sunrise and sunset in Kitchener. Park for kids, dogs , volleyball courts and basketball courts along with mountain bike trail for cycling enthusiastic. Skate board park is also there .
The concrete at the splash pad is slippery when wet. My toddler slipped 5 times.
Went with a friend early morning to view Gemini solar eclipse during its rise. The beautiful trails, lush green scenery, and opulent natural environment is breathtaking. The highest spot in all of KW region is here. Good for a weekend getaway into the wilderness.
Sledding! Woohoo. Probably the biggest (tallest and widest) hill in Kitchener.
Such a nice park! The people are nice and so are the dogs. I really like it here.
This park is really great. There are good walking trails and many different playground sets for the kids. There's a music area and a sandpit... Lots of things to keep kids entertained for a long a few hours. The dog park always has lots of other dogs, there's only one big space for all sizes of dogs but the dogs that are there are always really well behaved. It's pretty muddy, though!
Lush green park, lots of open space, cycling zone for thrills ..you can do tobogganing here..
Beautiful Sunny Day!
The splash pad was right not much for shade what so ever and as for the test I need to do the rewards don't match.
Nice outdoors place to go with the family to do different things.
We had a great time tobogganing ????
Great splash pad ! Nicely controlled during covid
Dog park specifically is great. Always busy, running water in the summer and large space
The trails are really cool here wow
Best view in the region. Good to visit, walking, hiking and also biking.
Nicely maintained... plenty of parking space... something for every age group
The only downfall with McLennan Park is there are not enough trees or shaded areas to sit when its super hot out. Otherwise a great place to walk and run around!
Great place to bring your dog.
Good hills for running, great view of the city as well.
beautiful park. great for walking, biking, playing... specially for kids. enjoyed view from top of the hill.
Great dog park however there is a few there (dog owners) that think it's their own park.... Sometimes aggressive hyper dogs are encouraged which upsets other smaller passive dogs
Bike Park - great place for kids to bike. small pump track. 2 tracks with jumps - medium and large. long tracks down the hill with jumps and those are particularly fun. If you just want excercise great hill for going up and down, fantastic view from top. Rest of McLennan park has small scooter/sk board park, good splash pad and nice playground. also soccer field. not a lot of shade around playground. washrooms under construction but portable toilets (yuck). check website as construction on street and have to enter bike park at other end.
We enjoy coming out here, a park, splash pad, ice cream truck and walking trails to let the kids dry off before going home.
We are so happy that this park is still open. The kids Love it. It's very clean and everyone is social distancing
Good place for kids.
Great urban park with lots of activities.
My 5 year old always has a blast here. There are lots of activities to do and the playground is amazing!
a very big park. Nice in summer and winter too for activities.
Park was a bit crowded, and the one way entry exit system is annoying.
Love this park. Wish the bathrooms were open though because the portable ones were gross! Lol
It is a great place to bring the kids and play in a fantastic splash pad and great play sets. Can get a little crowded but most people are all spread out well.
It's very big place to spend time with different activities like swings, ladder climb, shore mud digging, slides, water splash, hiking, etc... many more to have some beautiful outdoor activities...
Nice trails along the side of water.
Volleyball courts are more gravel than sand. Bank of lights on third court have been burned out for a few years. City must be short on funds.
Mount Trashmoor. Is a great view of the twin cities.
My son likes the splash pad in the summer and it has a good park too
It's free and has really well kept trails and jumps
Icy in spots, so recommend cleats for boots. But good variety of terrain, dog park, and city views.
Good Park!~
Awesome place to spend the evening. Peaceful location and well maintained.
Love this place! Has a dog park, tons of walking trails and a huge play park for the kids! So much to do! It also has a bike trail and in the winter it has a crazy huge sledding hill. My picture is the view from the top of the hill. Its very nice. Free parking in a couple of different lots.
Nice park with large playground
It's a great place to go with the family, for tobogganing right now and walking your dog. In the summer it has all sorts of things to do like dirt biking and play areas for the younger crowd, but I like going there at night on a warm summer day and enjoy the view of the city and surrounding area.
Greta place for tobogganing with your kids during the winter
Good place to take kids to play. Or even just go for a walk.
Big park, friendly atmosphere, many amenities, basketball court, splash park, batmonton, skate park. And big field for other activites
Pretty new to Kitchener and we have slowly been exploring different parks in the area. This has been one of the best so far, they have a small playground for toddlers and bigger one for older kids. It also has walking trails, bike paths, skate park, dog park, picnic shelters, and a splash pad. Couldn't ask for much more. My kiddo and pup had a blast. The only negative thing is that some of swings for younger kids were missing their harnesses so we couldnt use them safely.
Fun for kids Water is fun fun fun fun for kids I think all kids the liked summer time
